I'll also work hard to conquer the dungeon today.

Chapter 508, Section 21: Knight's Contract

Chapter 508, Section 2.1: Knight's Contract (Part 1)
Golden sunlight poured down onto the white marble, illuminating it with a sense of holiness and solemnity.

The circular altar is surrounded by seven white pillars carved with totems, forming a semi-encirclement around it.

To the left is the long corridor where the audience is located, which is now densely packed with all sorts of people, while the second floor houses the world's seven most powerful beings, or rather, the Seven Deadly Sins.

A clear, melodious bell rang out, approaching from afar.

The girl, dressed in a black gown, slowly walked toward the center of the altar, her posture elegant yet aloof.

The dress looks similar to an ordinary black dress from the front, nothing special. The only two points are that the straps at the shoulders are tied into a bow with two ribbons instead of a single ribbon, and a clear gemstone is tied to the end of the ribbon, which sparkles brilliantly in the sunlight.

However, this is only the front of the dress; the back is quite revealing. Compared to the conservative front, the back is undeniably provocative.

The deep V-neckline extends all the way to the tailbone, revealing her fair and sexy waist and back without reservation, exuding a unique and alluring charm. However, her distinctive temperament evokes a sense of longing and unattainability in others.

Her long, wavy, misty gray hair was tied into a loose three-strand braid that hung down from her shoulder, tied at the end with a black hairband, and held in place by a hair clip that looked like starlight.

A black gemstone earring dangled from her left ear, swaying slightly with her movements and shimmering with an eerie light.

When Sher saw the ingenious back design of Mu Yegui's dress, his hand, which was holding the cane, tightened suddenly and moved slightly, causing the ground to dent.

"My lord, calm down," Jill said quickly, seeing that Sher was about to lose his temper. "Are you going to disrupt the ritual?"

Upon hearing this, Sher finally suppressed the bloodthirsty rage in his heart.

Jealousy raised an eyebrow and gave Sher a provocative look, a hint of smugness in her eyes.

Having watched the entire interaction between the two, Rong Yi's beautiful, dark purple phoenix eyes quietly gazed at Mu Yegui's fair, sexy, and slender waist. He moved his thin lips and whispered to Ji Qi, "Can feelings change? I suddenly feel..."

Ji Qi, with a cold face, said, "No, don't you think so?"

Rong Yi: "..." He hadn't said anything yet.

Mu Yegui's entire being perfectly aligned with Rong Yi's aesthetic standards, to the point that someone couldn't help but cover their eyes and say, "I think I..."

"Shut up," Ji Qi said coldly.

Zhu Yan rested her chin on her hands, leaning on the railing, and quietly looked down at Mu Yegui from the second floor. She waved to her and called out, "Mu Yegui!"

Mu Yegui turned her head slightly and saw a boy on the second floor waving and greeting her happily. She also waved back at him.

Agatha sighed, realizing it was her fault for not being able to stop her prince. She begged him to stop stealing the spotlight, asking if he hadn't noticed that the other lords hadn't made any moves.

"As expected..." Adele looked down at Mu Yegui, lost in thought, and muttered to herself. Lanlos braced himself on the railing, flipped over, and jumped down from the second floor. He stumbled a couple of steps upon landing but then landed steadily. He brushed off imaginary dust from his clothes and his perfectly neat robes, then strode towards the center of the altar.

Zhu Yan watched Lanlos jump down and thought about jumping down after him, but Xie Er pressed his shoulder with his cane. He frowned and said with dissatisfaction, "Why was that lazy guy able to get over there?"

"Because he is the executor." Lanlos has always served as the executor of various ceremonies, including the king's coronation ceremony, in which Lanlos personally placed the crown on the king's head.

Because of his special status, even if he does something outrageous, the rules will not punish him, because they need Lanlos's existence.

"But isn't the High Priest here? Generally speaking, the rituals are handled by the High Priest," Zhu Yan said, wondering what was amiss.

“That’s generally speaking. The highest authority in the Kingdom of the Unbelievable is Sloth, and the ceremonies he presides over represent the highest level and the most solemn ceremony.” Jealousy covered his mouth with his hand, yawned, and used this to hide the ambiguous look in his eyes.

The long neighing of Pegasus echoed from the sky. Jafar flipped off the Pegasus and landed safely.

His long silver hair was tied into a delicate little bird braid that hung down his back. The wisps of hair in front of his forehead were slightly messy because of his movements. His delicate and handsome face still had a hint of naivety, but it was also mature and brave. His blood-red eyes were indifferent but also had a serious look.

His light silver armor gleamed coldly in the sunlight, and the red cloak draped over his back fluttered slightly in the wind. He stood tall, unyielding, fair, and honest—the epitome of a knight.

He strode towards Mu Yegui, gazing at her back, her figure reflected in his bloodshot eyes.

He clenched his right fist and placed it on his left chest where his heart was beating, while his left hand, also clenched, was placed on his lower back. He leaned forward, knelt on one knee before Mu Yegui, lowered his proud head, and remained humble yet true to the honor of a knight.

“I will remember all this, be kind to all, be humble and courteous, and always remain modest; I will not betray the knighthood on my breast, fight for honor, and never tarnish its color, and never back down from challenging the strong; I will fight against evil and sacrifice myself if necessary; I will stand up to protect the weak and fight bravely without flinching; I will have compassion and pity for the weak and extend a helping hand to them; I will keep my promises and never betray anyone; I will be just and impartial and strictly abide by the law; I will be true to my soul and have a clear conscience.”

Humility, honor, sacrifice, courage, compassion, honesty, justice, and soul—these are the eight virtues of a knight.

Jafar lowered his eyes, his blood-red pupils fixed on the fair, rounded feet, his gaze carrying a hint of obscurity.

Mu Yegui slowly turned around and walked towards Jiafaer, then stopped in front of him, slightly raised his hand, and extended a slender finger to lightly touch Jiafaer's brow.

Jafar trembled, his blood-red eyes suddenly contracting in a flash. Enduring the pain, he knelt straight before her, just as he had vowed, he would not do anything that would betray his identity.

However, he violated the principle of fairness not long ago, so does he really have the right to perform such a ceremony?

With his cool, silver eyes fixed on Jafar, Mu Yegui slowly said, "Whether someone is qualified or not should be judged by me."

The moment she lightly touched Jafar's brow with her fingertip, a different scene appeared before her eyes; it seemed to be his mental world.

The Gafar Line officially begins.
