Chapter 486, page 2.1-15: The Crown: The Treasure of a Lost Dynasty
The four of them, including Laki, trembled and hid under the table in the room, their hearts pounding so hard they felt like they were about to burst out of their chests.

The sound of light footsteps gradually approached, growing closer and closer.

Her teeth chattered uncontrollably, and her whole body trembled; she was clearly terrified. Rachel covered her mouth with one hand to prevent herself from accidentally screaming due to extreme tension.

The footsteps had reached the doorway, then suddenly disappeared.

"Hmm? I think it's here." A slightly familiar voice came from beside me, as if I had heard it before.

"Everything's alright now, it's about time you came out. Mu Yegui sent me to pick you up." Bertias stood at the door, his blue-gray eyes sweeping over the furnishings in the room before finally settling on the table that was being blocked.

Upon hearing the familiar voice, Laki instinctively tried to stand up, but the man beside her grabbed her arm. She turned her head and saw him shaking his head at her, seemingly hoping she wouldn't make any rash moves.

Laqi frowned and pushed him away. Why couldn't they come out when it was clearly an ally looking for them? He had already said that it was Mu Yegui who came to find them. Mu Yegui had told them her name after saving them, so if they knew Mu Yegui, they must be allies.

“I’m here.” Rachi stood up and waved to Bertias.

She paused for a second, realizing she'd seen that face somewhere before...

Bertias chuckled as he looked at them and said, "I am Bertias. Didn't we meet before in front of the dungeon? I only took off my cloak so as not to be too conspicuous. Come on, I'll take you to find Mu Yegui."

“Oh.” Rachi nodded and walked toward Bertias.

Since Laki came out, the three of them had no choice but to follow her.

The four followed Bertias out of the house and onto the deserted, desolate street.

"How did you find your way here? Didn't you encounter any soldiers?" Laki's foot was still injured, and she couldn't help but frown and grit her teeth as she walked because of the stinging pain.

Bertias paused slightly, turned her head to look at them, and said with a half-smile, "You're the only targets, right? How could anything happen to me?"

Laki's expression changed, and she opened her mouth before belatedly realizing, "Oh, I see. But wouldn't you be wanted if you walked with us?"

Just then, a slightly lazy, drunken, hoarse voice suddenly came to their ears, "Yes, so he's preparing to take you back to report, back to the king who wanted to kill you."

Dionysus casually grabbed his slightly messy, wine-red hair and slowly walked over. His narrow, golden phoenix eyes glanced at the four people who suddenly became nervous upon seeing him, and his thin lips moved slightly, letting out a disdainful sneer.

"So weak."

Bertias stepped forward, blocking the four of them, and whispered, "Don't be fooled by him. He is Dionysus, the High Priest, the dungeon master of the Kingdom of the Unbelievable. Although he looks like he did ten thousand years ago, he is definitely our enemy."

Upon hearing this, the expressions of the four people changed, their faces filled with defensiveness and fear.

Dionysus blinked, looking at the four people's suddenly strange expressions with confusion. The dungeon master of the Mysterious Kingdom? What is that?
“Um…” Dionysus raised his hand, puzzled, “Are you confusing me with other people? What is a high priest? I don’t remember having any other duties.”

"Are you alright? You'll save us, right?" Rachel grabbed Bertias's clothes nervously and asked. She had never actually encountered the dungeon master before, but from her brother's words, she knew the dungeon master was extremely powerful. And every player had heard of the High Priest, after all, he had killed two crown princes one day. She was just an ordinary player; she didn't want to die!
Bertias chuckled as he looked at Lachi, casually pulling back his clothes, and said ambiguously, "Of course, I won't hand you over to him."

He didn't say whether he would save them or not; he only said he wouldn't hand them over to Dionysus. These were prisoners to be given to the king; how could Dionysus possibly take them away?
"Do you really trust him so much without suspecting that he is deceiving you?" Dionysus frowned, looking at their increasingly wary expressions, and asked.

Unexpectedly, Bertias is such a troublesome guy, actually gaining their trust first. If he doesn't bring them back to Mu Yegui's side, he'll feel guilty about that drink.

After much deliberation, Dionysus decided to take the man back. Since the current situation didn't make much sense, he figured he might as well resolve it by force.

"What a hassle, I'm not good at fighting." Dionysus shrugged and casually ran his hand through his messy, wine-red hair.

As his fingertips traced through the air, a staff wrapped in ivy and topped with a pine cone appeared before him.

The staff lightly touched the ground, and a golden ripple spread outward from its center.

The moment the four people touched the ripples, their pupils dilated, and they collapsed, losing all strength.

Bertias glanced at the four fallen bodies, took a few steps forward, and chuckled, "Illusion-type abilities are ineffective against me."

“But you can’t move four people at once, can you?” Dionysus yawned and said lazily.

In any case, he never intended to bewitch Bertias; he only planned to put everyone else who came near to sleep. Bertias couldn't possibly leave with four burdens, and the soldiers who approached would all fall asleep because of his magic.

Bertias glanced at the soldier who had fallen as soon as he approached, his brow furrowing slightly. This was also the first time he had witnessed Dionysus's abilities, and he was honestly somewhat surprised. But now that he knew, things would be easier. Judging from the use of his staff, this guy wasn't skilled in close combat.

Bertias reached for the short sword at his waist and drew it; the silver blade gleamed with golden light under the sunlight.

"Huh? Looks like you're quite confident in your physical skills. Well then, I'll play along with you." He planted his staff in the ground, raised his hand, and drew a rapier from the staff to meet the attack.

The weapons clashed, sparks flying and a crisp sound emanating from them.

Bertias felt the force, shifted his feet slightly to calculate his next move, then pretended to fall due to the attack, but actually slightly turned to the side to dodge Dionysus's attack, thereby knocking the staff away.

After the staff was knocked away, the spell's effect disappeared, and the soldiers who came to reinforce them were no longer disturbed, easily carrying the four away.

Dionysus, however, was unable to escape for the time being because he was blocked by Bertheias.

"Oh no, I'm going to get scolded by Mu Yegui now." Dionysus helplessly rubbed his messy wine-red hair, pondering how to escape Mu Yegui's questioning, or maybe he should just run away.

Lanlos had told them not to make a sound when they heard anyone speaking until they were found, but unfortunately, Lachi and the others didn't listen and were even tricked by Bertias.
