Chapter 471, Part 2.0: History
“This wall…” Dao Lin took a few steps forward and said with a strange expression.

"Ah! How can it move?!" Rachel, who was about to get closer, suddenly saw the people in the mural move and was so frightened that she sat down on the ground with a thud, exclaiming in terror.

"Are you alright, Miss Rachel?" The three of them surrounded her, asking about her well-being. Rachel's face looked terrible.

"Flower Crown." A soft, sweet voice rang out amidst the noise, instantly drowning out the commotion. Only her voice reached the ears of everyone present, creating a sense of incongruous silence.

"Long, long ago, this land was ruled by a cruel king who loved gold, jewels, and women, and sought to possess all the beautiful things in the world. Yet even so, he was not satisfied, for he believed that his people had disobeyed his commands and had not offered him all the treasures."

Just as he was about to take his anger out on his people, the holy son living in the temple told him that there was a 'thing' in the world that was neither gold nor silver, yet more beautiful and dazzling than any jewel.

The king dispatched his most trusted priest to search for the 'most beautiful' existence, and they eventually found a gem more dazzling than the sun and more beautiful than the moon. The priest set it in a specially crafted crown, but after presenting it to the king, he merely glanced at it and then discarded it.

Wang said: That's all there is to it.

So he killed the priest who had deceived him, and the angry people rose up in rebellion, vowing to overthrow the rule of this tyrannical king.

The jewels on the crown, stained with blood, became even more vibrant and alluring, displaying their most beautiful form.

Wang said: It's just an inanimate object, still not what he wants most.

The king committed suicide, and the dynasty that had ruled for countless years collapsed and disappeared into history.

The wreath that became the culprit disappeared during that war, and no one knows where it is now.

Her cool, silver eyes were fixed on the patterns on the mural, and she softly told the story depicted in her sweet, childlike voice.

"The story here doesn't match the current history; it wasn't continued after the dynasty ended." Daolin frowned, as if it were a story from before the king's reign.

"History now? What history?" Rachel asked, puzzled. These people were speaking strangely; she couldn't understand a word they said. Wasn't this a game world? Why did she need to know history?

Dao Lin glanced at Laqi and said slowly, "Don't you all notice? The king led his confidants to quell the chaos and establish the country. Later, the king disappeared and the Seven Sins appeared."

The arrogant leader was stationed in the kingdom's capital, which he named King's City in honor of the king, while the other six each created their own kingdoms in their respective territories.

They are the Kingdom of Envy (Entertainment), the Kingdom of Wrath (Sin), the Kingdom of Sloth (Inconceivable), the Kingdom of Greed (Truth), the Kingdom of Gluttony (Food), and the Kingdom of Lust (Fairy Tale).

"What's depicted here seems to be a story from before the king's time, but we don't know if it's true or not. But if it is true, then why is it here underground? And who carved it?"

What Bertias found even more puzzling was why the gem guide would point here, and whether the real gem had any other meaning.

"You're talking nonsense, I don't understand a word you're saying! If this mural is like this, then it must be the key to opening the dungeon, is there some kind of mechanism?" Lachi frowned and stepped forward, throwing a punch at it.

However, the moment she touched the mural, it created ripples that seemed to suck her hand in.

"Aaaaaah!" Laki screamed. The three of them tried to pull her back, but they couldn't overcome the suction force, and all four of them were sucked in together.

After the people were sucked in, the mural returned to its original state, except that four small figures resembling them appeared in the lower left corner. "The treasure of a lost dynasty," Daolin suddenly said.

Bertias immediately understood that this was a hint given by the gem guide. However, the king had been gone for ten thousand years, so the treasures from an even more ancient period before the king must have weathered away and disappeared long ago, and could not possibly still exist.

only……

Only by returning to history can we achieve this.

If he's right, the murals are the gateway to the dungeon; touching them will allow one to enter that period of history, which may be the only way to obtain the dynasty's treasures.

However, the thought of snatching something from that cruel king is somehow thrilling.

"Are you here to find the real gem?" Mu Yegui asked.

"Daolin said he received instructions from the Gem Guide, and I happened to be nearby, so I was pulled over. It's my first time encountering a Gem Dungeon, and I'm curious about how it differs from other regular dungeons." To be honest, it does feel very different; just entering the mural is a death-defying act.

If the goal is not achieved, is there no way to come back?
This is a dynasty completely different from the current world and its rules. It is very likely that it is not governed by rules, and the so-called king may even be the true ruler.

"Are you scared?" Mu Yegui turned to look at Bertias and asked softly.

Bertias chuckled softly, his voice barely concealing his excitement. "No, I'm incredibly excited." It had been so long since he'd experienced anything this thrilling that he'd almost forgotten the tension of hiding from the interstellar police back in the day.

"Let's go, is Ye Gui coming along too?" Dao Lin stepped forward and extended his hand, pausing slightly just before touching the mural, and asked.

"Mm." Mu Yegui nodded.

She wasn't quite sure why Lanlos had teleported her here, but she felt there must be something important here, perhaps the secret was hidden inside.

Is there something that only existed in that period of history but has now completely disappeared, and she needs to bring it out?
"To be honest, when I first met Bell, I thought he was the same kind of person as Shui Qi, but after spending some time with him, I found that the two were completely different." Dao Lin frowned and said slowly.

“Hmm?” Bertias raised an eyebrow slightly.

“When I’m with Shui Qi, I’m afraid of being stabbed in the back, but with Bell, I’m not afraid at all, because he’ll only stab me in the back openly,” Dao Lin said jokingly, shrugging his shoulders.

Bertias: "..." Is this an evaluation of him? There's a very subtle feeling in my mind.

"It's time to go in." Mu Yegui reached out and gently touched the mural, then vanished from the spot in the next second.

She felt a gust of wind blow by, and the next second she was standing on a barren land, surrounded by nothing but yellow sand, with no life in sight.

This is a main storyline dungeon, it might be very long, or it might be very short, after all, I'm really bad at romance.
