Chapter 319, 121-35: The Girl Imprisoned in the Tower

Chapter 319, 1.21-35: The Girl Imprisoned in the Tower
"What's wrong? Is something on your mind?" Ming Jin's gentle voice, tinged with concern, came from beside me.

The girl lowered her head and froze, realizing how difficult it was to refuse such gentleness.

The boy sighed almost imperceptibly, seemingly feeling utterly helpless towards her.

"Wait for me a moment," Ming Jin said suddenly, glancing at the tall trees in the distance.

The two paused slightly. The girl nodded obediently. Mingxi frowned, not understanding what Mingjin was going to do, but she did not object.

After Ming Jin left, Ming Xi yawned, put his hands behind his head, and said with a bored expression, "I feel like I'm playing the role of a vicious stepmother who breaks up a young couple, and I'm inexplicably annoyed."

After he finished speaking, he glanced at the girl again, frowned, and looked slightly displeased.

“I may have been a bit harsh with my words before, but I will never apologize to you. I hope you can understand.” Mingxi looked up at the trees in front of her and said slowly.

The girl moved slightly, but didn't speak; however, her actions suggested that she understood.

Mingxi frowned, clicked her tongue in annoyance, turned and walked to the coniferous tree next to her, squatted down and seemed to pick up something.

"Can we talk about yourself? If I don't know anything about you, I'll always be wary of you. But don't worry, if you don't want Mingjin to know, I won't tell him." Mingxi slowly stood up and looked at her, asking.

The girl lowered her head, then moved it slightly and said softly, "I am a nun, but an unclean nun. When I was 16, I met that man, was deceived by him, and ended up like this."

Her words were simple, yet extremely repressed. In fact, what had happened to her was summarized in just one sentence: she briefly mentioned the torment, verbal abuse, and humiliation inflicted on her by the man.

Every time I think back, it's like dissecting her from head to toe.

The pain of having her pride trampled on so ruthlessly seemed to return. The girl looked down at her unharmed hands and suddenly felt the nonexistent wounds begin to throb again.

She lowered her head, hugged her arms, squatted down, trembling and sobbing, enveloped in fear and dread.

“Hey…” Mingxi frowned as she looked at the girl and said, “Don’t think about it anymore, I won’t ask.”

The girl slowly raised her head, revealing a tear-streaked face. Her expression was calm, yet it was filled with deep sorrow and despair. Her gray eyes were empty and devoid of any light.

Mingxi sighed deeply, reached out and forcefully pulled her up, gave her a simple hug and gently patted her back, awkwardly saying, "This is the only time. After all, I'm the one who made you cry, so I'll take responsibility for comforting you."

The girl trembled, sobbing with her head down, her eyes buried in Mingxi's shoulder, her tears soaked through his clothes.

"Speaking of which, I haven't asked your name yet. Aren't you going to tell me? If I don't know how to address you, I can't just call you 'Hey.'" Mingxi pressed the girl's head with one hand, firmly pinning her to his shoulder, his lake-blue eyes fixed on the surroundings as he spoke slowly.

"It's just an insignificant name, you don't need to call me that," the girl sobbed softly.

"If you see yourself as too humble, if you don't even respect yourself, then don't expect others to respect you either," Mingxi glanced at her, her words carrying a hidden meaning.

"Just call me a nun. You can't tell anyone else your name, even if I'm already defiled," she said softly.

Mingxi stepped back several paces, quietly looking at her slightly reddened eyes, casually patted the clothes on her shoulder, and said, "I understand, then I'll call you nun."

His tone was casual, clearly indicating that he didn't care particularly much.

"Are you done crying?" he asked calmly. The girl lowered her head and moved her head slightly.

Mingxi frowned and said impatiently, "Raise your head. I'm not insulting you. Why are you being so humble?"

“But…” The girl was about to say something when Mingxi interrupted her.

"I don't care what kind of education you received or what kind of suffering you endured. But you'd better not show this habit of bowing your head in front of me all the time. I really can't help but slam your head to the ground. It's really annoying to watch," Mingxi said irritably.

"Right..."

Mingxi interrupted her before she could utter those three words, saying, "Stop! I don't want to hear your apology either, so swallow those three words."

The girl lowered her head and trembled, seemingly somewhat frightened.

Mingxi's furrowed brows deepened, his handsome face filled with impatience. Suddenly, he took a step toward the girl.

The girl instinctively took a step back.

In this way, Mingxi took a step forward, and the nun took a step back, until the girl's back hit a big tree and there was nowhere left to retreat.

The girl lowered her head, her eyes tightly closed, her expression filled with fear.

The next second, I felt my chin being clamped and my head being forcibly lifted.

She slowly opened her eyes and saw Mingxi pressing her against the big tree. Her gray eyes reflected Mingxi's clear, clean lake-blue eyes, which were quietly watching her.

He pressed down on her shoulder with one hand and gripped her chin with the other, forcing her to look him in the eye, his posture carrying an air of unquestionable authority.

"I've told you, don't bow your head and make such humble expressions and gestures in front of me. How many times do I have to tell you before you listen? Tell me, how many times do I have to tell you?" The boy's clear, slightly hoarse voice was forceful and contained a hint of seductive allure, as if he were trying to entice someone.

Their faces were so close that the girl could even feel his warm breath as he spoke.

The forceful actions that prevented her from hiding, bowing her head, or running away, along with the slightly ambiguous posture between the two, made the girl very flustered and frightened. Her face flushed slightly, and she was extremely at a loss.

"Why Mingjin?" His lake-blue eyes looked at the girl's flushed face with a half-smile, and he asked softly as if he were bewitching her.

Mingxi leaned closer to the girl's ear and whispered suggestively, "Can't I be with him, a Gemini? Although I'm not as gentle as Mingjin, wouldn't a gentleman like him be too boring? He would never be so forceful with you, don't you think? You should like it too, right?"

Mingxi chuckled softly in her ear. His slightly malicious laughter was alluring, and coupled with his current actions, it was incredibly seductive. It was as if he could attract the hearts of countless women if he wanted to, even though he still looked like a young boy.

But it is this kind of unruly and rebellious youth that has a unique charm.

To be honest, I'd rather be flirted with by Mingxi than Mingjin!
I can do it again!! My girlish heart is fluttering!

The two most skilled flirters in this story are Geminis; no one else will ever see them flirt with girls.
