Chapter 149, Section 1.10: Jafar

Sunlight streamed through the stained glass, casting a colorful glow onto the pure white marble floor.

This is a luxurious palace. In the center is a heavy marble table covered with a red tablecloth, on which sits a blue and white porcelain vase with black lilies, exuding elegance and nobility.

There were only eight stone chairs placed around the long table. Besides one at the head of the table, there were three on each side, and each chair was carved with a unique totem. The chair at the head of the table was particularly ornate, and it was also carved with a sword and shield as well as a magnificent crown entwined with thorns. It was the throne that belonged exclusively to the king.

A handsome man with long, misty white hair sat on the stone chair opposite them. He rested his chin on one hand and gestured to the maids, "Put the vase to the side, don't put it there." A yellow gemstone adorned his left middle finger, shimmering faintly.

"No, no! Your arrangement isn't stylish enough!"

"Why not use that mahogany table instead of a stone table?"

Outside the hall, Jafar, dressed in a white knight's uniform, rushed in with his six subordinates and the three who had come to escort him. He paused slightly upon seeing the handsome man with long, misty white hair on the chair, then knelt on one knee with one hand on his chest and said respectfully, "My lord! The person has been brought!"

"Ah? Oh! Is that so? Then take some people to settle in, just arrange a guest room for them." He waved his hand, dismissing Jafar.

"Yes, sir!" Jafar stood up, a hint of doubt in his expression. He felt this person was different from the adults he usually saw, but since they shared the same hair color, it must be an adult...

Maybe the adult wants to change their personality and mood...

Yes! That must be it!
After explaining himself, he led Mu Yegui and the others out.

His cool, silver eyes held a hint of confusion. Was he really Duke Sher? The last time he saw him, he was wearing a purple gemstone ring, and his personality was completely different. Or was everything he saw in the illusion just an illusion?

Mu Yegui didn't think for long before turning around and following Jiafaer and the others out.

Unbeknownst to her, after she turned around, the man glanced back at her with a hint of interest in his eyes.

After leading everyone out, Jafar headed towards the East Building, instructing them as they went, "Although we've arranged for you to go to the East Building, don't go to the East Tower."

He stopped chuckling, turned around and looked coldly at the three of them, warning, "That's forbidden territory. You absolutely, absolutely must not go near it!!"

“Of course, we’re just sinners here to await our punishment, we won’t wander off.” Fish stopped Issa, who was about to step forward, and said casually.

Upon hearing Fish's assurance, Jafar smiled, revealing two dimples, his smile as bright and energetic as sunshine. "That's good, otherwise I would have been punished as well."

Seeing that Jafar had arranged Fish's room and was preparing to take Muye back to the other side, Issa pointed to himself and asked, "What about me?"

“It was redundant to begin with, so of course it should go back to where it came from,” Jafar said, staring intently at Isaac.

His silver high ponytail gives him a clean and neat look, while his slightly chubby cheeks add a touch of cuteness to his handsomeness. It makes one realize that even in his high position, he is still just a young man who has just passed adolescence.

“I’m bound to him. We can’t be more than three meters apart, or I’ll die in 12 hours.” Of course, Mu Yegui didn’t mention the other contradictory rule. “I see. But he looks lecherous. I’m not entirely comfortable with him.” Jafar pointed at Issa, then took out a ring and handed it to Mu Yegui, saying, “This can temporarily block dungeons, but it’s only effective in the King’s City. You absolutely cannot take it off.”

Her cool, silver eyes gazed at the simple, pure silver ring. She reached out, took it, and put it on the index finger of her left hand, saying softly, "Thank you."

“Once you accept my ring, you’re mine!” Jafar smiled, revealing two cute dimples on his cheeks, and teased.

Mu Yegui blinked, then suddenly reached out and tapped Jiafa'er's dimples, her tone slightly puzzled, "Are these the legendary dimples? This is the first time I've seen them."

Jafar stumbled back a few steps, his face flushed slightly, and a hint of panic flickered in his sea-blue eyes. He said, "How could you touch my manly dimples! That's just indecent!"

"Huh?" Mu Yegui opened her mouth slightly, her expression full of confusion. Is it not allowed to touch it out of curiosity?
Why is he blushing...?

Issa raised an eyebrow and waved to the two of them. "In that case, I'll stay in the royal city and wait for you to come out." With that, he turned and left.

"I'm sorry," Mu Yegui said softly.

“Then…I forgive you…” Jafar turned his head to the side, his face slightly flushed, his sea-blue eyes stealing glances at Mu Yegui, and stammered.

Mu Yegui followed Jiafa'er and suddenly asked, "What's your name?"

“Jiafar.” Jiafar looked curiously at Mu Yegui’s long, gray, curly hair and spoke slowly.

“Light?” Mu Yegui was slightly taken aback. In the Kingdom’s language, the meaning of Jafar is light and radiance, a word full of praise.

"My master said I should be as radiant as the sun. Don't I look like it?" Jafar turned around and walked backwards while looking at Mu Yegui. His handsome face, with its cute dimples, was even more dazzling than the sunlight, like a small sun radiating light.

Mu Yegui stared intently at Jiafa'er, her cool, round silver pupils turning into vertical pupils for a moment, only to return to normal the next second. She whispered, "Hmm, very similar."

Gafar gazed back at the sunlight streaming through the windows in the corridor, his smile radiant with warmth, and declared, "My lord is the greatest man in the world, for he saved me, and that is why I am who I am today. I dedicate all the glory of my life to him..."

“I am a knight, I swore an oath before my lord,” Jafar said with a light laugh, clutching his chest where he could feel his heart pounding.

He suddenly stopped, his expression changed slightly, and his sea-blue eyes held a hint of melancholy and loneliness as he murmured, "But... why won't the master let me go out? I'm clearly capable of handling things on my own now."

Mu Yegui reached out and tapped Jiafa'er's brow, his cool silver eyes gazing at him quietly as he whispered, "Perhaps it's because I want to protect you."

Because light is rare and precious, once encountered, one wants to hold it tightly in their hands and never want it to escape.
