Chapter 719 Result
That day, Furong was too embarrassed to stay and went back to France with her grandmother and sister. The cabin was quiet for two days before new guests arrived.

The two Veela guests were hired by Charles. After completing their work, they had to travel across eight time zones from Hogsmeade to this place to report their work to Charles.

“We brought back fresh salmon from Dancing Grass Restaurant,” Nina said, walking in with light steps.

She had taken off the sharp black business suit she was wearing earlier and put on a bright yellow robe that looked very soft and comfortable. She was also carrying a large, bulging bag in her hand.

Behind her followed another Veela, her sister Dobrev.

At this point, the effects of the compound potion on Dobov had completely disappeared, and she was no longer the same as Umbridge before, but had returned to her original delicate and beautiful appearance, exactly like her sister.

She was wearing a bright red robe, which, though loose, could not conceal her graceful figure.

Charles said to them with a gentle smile, "You two rest for a while, I'll go prepare dinner now."

"I bought trout today, what kind of fish are you planning to eat?"

Upon hearing that there was fish to eat, Dubov immediately and without hesitation said, "We want to eat both kinds of fish!"

“I’m so hungry right now, my stomach is practically sticking to my back,” she added.

Charles nodded and said, "Please wait a moment, dinner will be ready soon."

"I also found a lot of birch bark nearby, so we'll have a delicious meal tonight."

He had heard of a recipe and wanted to try it today.

Upon hearing the word "tree bark," Dobrev stared at Charles with wide eyes and asked, "You don't mean you want me to eat tree bark, do you?"

Nina whispered, "You ate tree bark when you were little, why are you so surprised now?"

Dobrev glared angrily at his sister after hearing her words.

Nina, on the other hand, wore a smug expression that seemed to say, "What can you do to me?" as if to say that no matter how angry Dobov was, the fact remained that a certain Veela had once eaten tree bark.

Charles smiled and began preparing dinner.

The bark is certainly not meant to be eaten directly.

After the salmon was cleaned, the fish meat was marinated with pepper and other seasonings for a while. A smokehouse was created outside using Transfiguration, and the fish meat was suspended in it using a Levitation Charm. Charles put birch bark in the smoke and lit it, then smoked the fish meat until it was just cooked through.

The trout is deboned using a bone-separating spell. Meanwhile, the pork belly from the supermarket is cut into small pieces the size of pomegranate seeds. It only needs to be chopped a few times to soften the tendons. Then, scallion and ginger water, eggs, salt, sugar, and white pepper powder are added and stirred until it becomes sticky to make lion's head meatballs. The lion's head meatballs are then shaped in 70°C hot water and finally put into the broth made from fish bones and simmered over low heat.

After a flurry of activity, the smoked salmon and trout lion's head meatballs were ready.

The smoked salmon perfectly combines the sweetness of the fish with a slight smoky aroma, while the trout lion's head meatballs showcase the perfect combination of fish and pork.

Meanwhile, Dubov was also busy making meatballs from the remaining fish and cooking a meatball soup with the remaining broth, potatoes, and carrots.

When dinner was served, the fireplace in the cabin was crackling loudly. Nina set out the table, looking as if she had finished her chores and was just waiting to eat.

We met after the Quidditch World Cup last year and have been playing together for a long time since then, so we were all very comfortable with each other and had dinner together, chatting and laughing.

“Charles,” Nina suddenly became serious, “I heard you saw the spirit of the old lady?”

The Vevas all wanted to know the details of what happened in the Vevas' Secret Realm, but this summer Charles and Fleur only reported to the elders, and the younger Vevas only knew a few bits and pieces.

Dobrev also turned his head, waiting earnestly for the answer.

Charles swallowed a mouthful of smoked salmon and said seriously, "There are very useful spells left for the Veela in the secret realm, but they will attract greedy eyes. Before a Veela with enough strength to protect all of this appears, rashly opening it will bring about annihilation." Nina frowned and thought for a moment, and finally said helplessly, "That would probably require reaching the level of Dumbledore. There are no Veelas that powerful right now."

Dobrev also said, "Even the half-blood Veelas are no match. The eldest daughter of the Delacour family is one of the best among the younger generation, but she is no match either, and the other half-blood Veelas are no match either."

Charles somewhat understood their helplessness.

But a genius like Dumbledore is someone you can only come across once in a lifetime.

“But there’s a way,” Dobrev said, looking directly at Charles.

Charles's heart skipped a beat. Could it be that they already knew he and the one in the secret realm were actually the same person?

“Yes,” Nina said seriously, “Charles, it would be great if you had more mixed-race Veenas.”

Dobrev immediately nodded in agreement and said, "Sir, you can try ten or twenty."

Charles immediately changed the subject: "How did the experiment go today?"

“As you expected, and also unexpectedly so.” Nina got to the point, saying while eating, “Harry and Ron, their reactions to me and Dobrev were not significantly different from what they showed at the World Cup a year ago.”

"They were still easily misled, exhibiting symptoms such as inattention, incoherent speech, and excessive focus on appearance. The only noteworthy thing was that they suppressed their near-mad, irrational obsession and did not take any rash actions."

"During observation, it was found that they could still retain a very faint trace of struggle."

Dobrev nodded in agreement, emphasizing that her part was the most important, and continued, "When faced with my Umbridge form, their resistance didn't change as much as we had imagined, and they repeatedly showed a desire to get close to me."

"Their expressions were priceless; the tug-of-war between reason and allure was palpable."

"Finally, I'll show you..." she smiled slyly, "My charm is such that no matter what I become, they can't resist me."

Charles nodded in agreement, saying, "Yes, you are indeed very charming."

He then added, "She's just as good as your sister."

After the two sisters explained all the details, Charles nodded thoughtfully and began to ponder as he ate his dinner.

After cleaning up the dishes, they lit a campfire outside the cabin and lay on deck chairs to look at the stars.

Charles's thoughts had come to a conclusion, and he said, "It seems that your charm abilities are somewhat different from what I expected."

"This ability is not about amplifying inner desires, but simply about exerting influence."

"Harry and Ron certainly didn't have any designs on Umbridge, yet they were still misled, and that's proof of that."

Nina and Dobrev nodded; it certainly seemed that way.

Charles continued, "The data is not sufficient, and the scale of the trial needs to be expanded."

“We need to compare samples with different personalities, experiences, and levels of mental maturity, such as Seamus, Neville, and… Cedric.”

He didn't say that the experiment was to compare with aphrodisiacs, but rather the effect of appearance on Veela's seductive abilities.

Nina and Dobrev were quite interested in the experiment, and since they could get paid, they were naturally happy to participate.

However, the "guinea pigs" whose names were called by Charles instinctively shivered.
