Days wandering around Hogwarts

Chapter 718 Experiment

Chapter 718 Experiment
A tea set flew into the kitchen and poured a cup of tea for both the host and the guest.

“Charles knows you’ve had some unpleasant experiences lately,” Nina said.

Her voice was gentle, with a calming power.

“He cares about you all very much,” Nina said after taking a sip of tea. “Coincidentally, I’m a psychotherapist. It seems that St. Mungo’s Hospital in England doesn’t have therapists like that, but that’s not the point.”

"He invited me here mainly to talk to you and see if I can help you relieve your troubles."

A psychologist?

Veela as a psychologist?
This was the first time Harry had ever heard of such a thing, and he found it somewhat absurd.

Ron looked blank, not knowing what a psychotherapist was.

The two nodded awkwardly, as if they wanted to say something, but their minds seemed to have turned into a complete mess.

The invisible allure emanating from Nina made it impossible for them to think clearly, let alone organize their thoughts into words.

“I…we…” Ron opened his mouth, his cheeks burning, his eyes fixed on Nina, “Quidditch…Umbridge, she…”

“Yes, Harry’s suspension is certainly frustrating.” Nina nodded understandingly, guiding the conversation, “Could you elaborate on your feelings during and after the match?”

"How do I feel? Uh... well... it's awful..." Ron's face turned even redder, his eyes darting around. "You... your eyes are so beautiful..."

Harry's situation wasn't much better.

When Nina's deep blue eyes turned to him, he felt his tongue get tied in knots.

“Malfoy did something really bad, so I’m going to kick his ass pretty hard,” he mumbled, his attention quickly shifting to Nina’s moonlit silver hair. “Your hair is like…like a unicorn’s mane…”

Harry's train of thought was somewhat disjointed.
Nina maintained a professional smile and patiently guided the conversation.

The conversation was largely off-topic, as if Harry and Ron were back in the stands of the Quidditch World Cup, their reason overwhelmed by a pure, magical fascination.

Just then, a soft clattering sound of pots and pans came from the direction of the kitchen, as if someone was busy at work.

“Oh, it’s my sister,” Nina explained, seemingly used to Harry and Ron’s reaction. “She’s preparing lunch. Hopefully you can stay and try her cooking.”

The conversation continued, and although Harry and Ron often gave irrelevant answers, much of what they said without thinking was very useful to Nina.

They came to Hogsmeade on Charles's behalf, and they had many tasks, one of which was analyzing Harry and Ron's mental health.

Lunchtime arrived quickly. Nina got up, made an excuse to help in the kitchen, and temporarily left the living room.

As soon as she left, her suffocating allure seemed to lessen. Harry and Ron, as if they had just surfaced from underwater, gasped for breath, exchanged a glance, and both saw the embarrassment in each other's eyes.

A moment later, the kitchen door opened again, and another Veela came out carrying a fragrant plate of food.

When Harry and Ron saw the "sister's" face, they froze on the sofa as if bound by a spell, their eyes wide open and their mouths agape.

That was a Veela lady who looked exactly like Dolores Umbridge!

They were both short and stout, with the same wide, toad-like face plastered with fake smiles, and both wore that repulsive pink cardigan, complete with a pink, bow-shaped hair clip on their heads.

However, in Harry and Ron's eyes, this "Umbridge" was completely different from the real Umbridge, exuding a unique charm that captivated them.

This extreme sense of contradiction overwhelmed their minds, while their reason screamed, "This is Umbridge!"

Ultimately, Veela's magic proved superior. The two were completely captivated by the invisible magical power, unable to move, and even experiencing a bizarre urge to get closer. "Come, children, don't be shy," the fake Umbridge called out in his signature, cloyingly sweet voice, but to Harry and Ron it sounded like heavenly music. "Try my stew and scones, they're delicious."

The entire lunch was so eerie it sent chills down my spine.

Only the Veela resembling Umbridge was warmly greeting them; Nina seemed to be busy in the kitchen and hadn't come out.

Harry and Ron ate mechanically like puppets, their eyes unable to leave Umbridge's alluring face.

Their minds were in chaos. They felt a fleeting sense of disgust when they thought the other person was "kind" and "cute." They wanted to stay there a little longer, but at the same time, the thought of running away would occasionally pop into their heads.

The lunch ended with the two of them doing everything they could to prolong it until afternoon tea time.

As dusk approached, Nina smiled and saw them to the door, thanking them for coming and hoping that the "conversation" would be helpful to them, but the two were still in a daze.

The "Umbridge" also stood behind Nina, giving them a friendly smile.

Leaving the house and stepping back onto the cold ground of the back alleys of Hogsmeade, away from the powerful allure field, the frigid air was like ice water splashed on their faces, instantly waking Harry and Ron up.

Everything that had just happened, as if in slow motion, rushed into their minds with clarity and all the absurd and horrifying details.

Let's put Nina's matter aside for now.

The Veela who looked exactly like Umbridge blushed and were completely infatuated with her. They not only ate the food she cooked, but also wanted to stay by her side a little longer!

"Merlin's beard!" Ron was the first to react, letting out a shrill scream as if he were being choked, his face turning deathly pale instantly.

Immediately afterwards, Harry let out a desperate wail, a mixture of shame, disgust, and utter despair.

The noise was so loud that it startled several owls on the rooftops in the distance, and attracted the curious glances of a few Hufflepuff students passing by the alley entrance.

These few hours of experience were more soul-wrenching than Umbridge's suspension and the constant volleying of the ball into their goal by Slytherin.

At dinner time, the students returned to Hogwarts Castle.

Today, Hermione and Ginny went to Elegant Wizarding Clothing Store to buy this year's trendy scarves, then to Literary Quill Shop to buy stationery, including black and gold pheasant quill pens, and finally went to Dancing Grass Restaurant to have afternoon tea in Hermione's private room.

Hermione naturally remembered that Charles had invited Harry and Ron, and while cutting her steak, she asked Harry, "Did you see Charles today?"

In her opinion, it was not strange that Charles came back.

Harry's face instantly turned pale; he never wanted to mention that incident again.

Ron shuddered, picked up two chicken legs and stuffed them into his mouth, looking like he was about to choke to death.

At this moment, Lavender and Dean across from him said, "Have you heard? Professor Umbridge concocted a hair growth tonic for himself, but it seems he messed it up."

No one had heard of it, and they all looked towards the professors' chair, but they didn't see Umbridge.

Harry and Ron didn't look at the professor's table, as if they were afraid of something.

Hermione, seeing the two of them like this, thought they had probably been badly tricked by Charles.

She couldn't help but wonder what Charles was doing right now.

At that moment, Charles had just come out of the supermarket, carrying the groceries he had just bought.
