Chapter 1502 Chaos in the Special Zone (Part 8)

Four garbage trucks drove towards the four corners of the white house, blocking both sides of the road. Sensing something was wrong, the police officers raised their guns and fired at the driver's cabs of these large metal shells, but to no avail.

One of the garbage trucks stopped in front of the iron fence that had been blown open earlier. With a few muffled explosions, all six tires of the garbage truck were blown off, and the truck body suddenly sank down and remained firmly in place.

"Go back! Go back inside and defend!"

Already sensing something was wrong, Jack saw a group of Secret Service agents carrying assault rifles out of the armory, seemingly preparing for a defensive counterattack, and he couldn't help but curse loudly.

At times like this, holding out for 5 minutes is victory. Why are they all so eager to leave their bunkers and come out to their deaths?

Sometimes, it's not the opponent's cunning and treacherous nature that's scary, but the sudden inspiration of a clueless teammate.

Clearly, no one would listen to this guy in the FBI bulletproof vest at this moment; the Secret Service agents, suffering heavy losses, were eager for revenge.

Seeing that a group of terrorists who dared to attack the White House had temporarily lost their ability to suppress fire due to a few stun grenades, these agents, armed with assault rifles, rushed out like Rambo.

The MG42 general-purpose machine gun used by the German army during World War II earned the nickname "cloth ripper" for its distinctive firing sound, while the M2 heavy machine gun used by the US army was nicknamed "Ma Deuce" (a popular chili sauce brand) because of its strong reliability.

As a heavy machine gun improved from a water-cooled machine gun from World War I, the M2 "Old Godmother" has been in service in the United States for over a century.

Unlike the MG42 general-purpose machine gun, which boasts an astonishing rate of fire of 1500 rounds per minute, the M2 "Lao Gan Ma" (Old Godmother) is a heavy machine gun with a slower rate of fire, only about one-third of the former's theoretical rate of fire.

However, the excellent hydraulic buffer and large-caliber .50 ammunition make up for everything. The trajectory is stable and the range is extremely long. With the support of the heavy barrel, it can even be used as a sniper rifle.

The terrorists attacking from the south oval lawn remained motionless after being hit by several stun grenades thrown by Jack. Meanwhile, from the north lawn, out of Jack's sight, the terrorists approaching the entrance all dropped to the ground after a few shouts.

As the modified side doors of four garbage trucks opened, the dark muzzles of the M2 "Lao Gan Ma" guns were pointed at the Secret Service agents who were preparing to launch a counterattack.

The next second, blood and flesh flew everywhere.

Amidst the rhythmic "bang bang bang" of gunfire, four heavy machine guns fixed to the firing racks drew out "death fan shapes."

The tracer rounds mixed in with the ammunition belt clearly indicated the trajectory and the bullet's impact point. The powerful .50 BMG heavy machine gun rounds instantly wiped out all the Secret Service agents standing in the field of fire.

With a slight adjustment of the heavy machine gun muzzle, even those agents who were hiding behind windows and firing outwards were not spared. The bullets easily penetrated the not-so-thick concrete walls, turning the people hiding behind them into bloody messes.

Even Jack, who was hiding under the Roman columns, was not spared. A bullet that bounced and deformed multiple times on the walls and steps bypassed the bulletproof vest at an extremely strange angle and entered his abdomen, turning his internal organs into a mess before flying out through a hole in his lower back.

Jack, who had already crouched down to defend himself, felt a slight numbness in his lower abdomen, followed by a sharp pain, as if a red-hot iron skewer had been driven into his body.

The concrete walls, not thick enough, couldn't stop the .50 heavy machine gun, nor could the reinforced doors on either side of the police car's driver's cab. The first wave of officers who arrived to provide support were almost instantly wiped out by the direct fire of the heavy machine gun. Jack leaned against the waist-high stone base and looked into the white house. He saw that the Secret Service agents, who had initially outnumbered him, were now reduced to a few scattered individuals hiding behind pillars in the hall, just like him, afraid to look up.

Using a healing spell to directly repair his injuries, Jack, clutching his throbbing head, was about to rush into the white house during the lull in the heavy machine gun fire when a 40mm round whistled past him, leaving a trail of white smoke.

The rocket easily shattered the fragile glass of the door, flew into the hall and exploded. The shockwave, carrying deadly shrapnel, relentlessly reaped the few remaining lives in the hall.

Jack turned to look at his side, where the burly white agent had fallen to the ground, his right arm severed at the shoulder.

He also had a gunshot wound in his chest and was still spitting out mouthfuls of blood. When he saw Jack looking at him, he trembled and used his left hand to take off the badge from the pocket of his suit jacket, as if he wanted to hand it over.

But his hand only reached halfway before it drooped limply, and the golden pentagram badge slipped from his palm.

Jack picked up the badge, stuffed it into his pocket, reached out and closed his eyes, letting out a silent sigh.

Just then, the terrorists shouted "Attack!" from not far behind. Jack pulled out his last stun grenade and threw it over his head. Under the cover of the bright light and noise, he bent over, stepped over the corpses, and rushed into the white house.
-
An AGM-114 Hellfire anti-tank missile fired from an OH-58D Giowa armed reconnaissance helicopter accurately hit a garbage truck blocking the intersection.

Immediately afterwards, a MATV mine-resistant vehicle and an M1117 Guardian wheeled armored vehicle slowly moved forward and pushed the still-burning wreckage to the side of the road, allowing the Humvee and armored personnel carrier following behind to pass smoothly.

Sniper teams rushed to the rooftops of the administrative buildings on both sides of the white house and set up their sniper rifles. Stryker armored vehicles equipped with automatic weapon stations and armed Humvees stopped at the intersection, pointing their guns outwards.

Not far away, a National Guard M1A1 Abrams main battle tank slowly turned its turret and pointed its gun at the White House.

As the sun was about to set, the crimson sunset cast a blood-red glow over the battlefield-like scene before us.

Faint plumes of smoke were still visible in the sky above the city, while the Capitol Hill in the distance was still ablaze with flames.

Military engineers are assisting firefighters who have rushed from other cities in Maryland to extinguish the fire, but rescue efforts cannot proceed until the aviation fuel runs out.

"Get out of the way!" Aubrey leaned halfway out of the car window and waved his arms vigorously at the news reporters blocking the road.

With a dark expression, Jubal carefully maneuvered the steering wheel in the driver's seat, guiding the massive command vehicle into the national park under the guidance of two National Guard soldiers, and finally stopping it on the lawn.

As the command vehicle slowly unfolded its two side compartments, Dana Morges couldn't wait to get out and led Hannah, Jenny, and the others toward a newly erected tent.

"Dana!" Rossi just popped out of the tent at that moment. After hugging Dana Morge, they both saw the same wry smile on each other's faces.
