Chapter 418: Conflict between the Face Gang and the Foot Gang

Chapter 418: Conflict between the Face Gang and the Foot Gang
On one side of the red carpet, Martin took a pen and quickly signed on the poster handed to him. The fan team led by Rachel was well prepared and took out the western version of the advertising poster of the Leader and the Saint, handed it to Elizabeth and asked her to sign together.

This made Elizabeth feel very involved, and her smile was so sweet that it touched people's hearts.

The security guard came over to urge him, and Martin stretched out his hand. Bruce, who was following him, took out two cans of Coke and handed them to him.

Martin handed Elizabeth a can, opened it, and raised a toast to the area where the Coca-Cola Cult gathered.

Elizabeth quickly followed and shouted, "Coke God Forever!"

Hundreds of people wearing red T-shirts held cans of Coke in their hands and shouted in unison: "Coke God Forever!"

The noise was so deafening that it overshadowed everyone else.

Martin and Elizabeth drank a little Coke, left the rest to Bruce, and returned to the red carpet hand in hand.

Elizabeth was very excited, her fair face flushed, and she said, "Isn't my saint pretty good?"

Martin gave her a thumbs up: "Very good."

Elizabeth suddenly asked, "How many saints are there in the Coke Cult?"

Martin seemed very frank and said casually: "Strictly speaking, there are only two."

One is Elena and the other is Elizabeth.

Elizabeth said nothing more and followed Martin into the interview area, where she was immediately greeted by Regis Philbin, host of the red carpet ceremony.

"Is this your girlfriend, Martin?" he asked.

Martin held up Elizabeth's clasped hands: "Obviously."

Philbin smiled and said, "You two are a perfect match."

Elizabeth replied, "Thank you."

Philbin still asked Martin: "Are you confident that you can take the Best Actor award today?"

"Of course I want to take it. I would rather be ten years older for this." Martin half-jokingly expressed his importance to the Oscars, and then said modestly: "Most of the nominees are my predecessors. They all have outstanding acting skills. It is a great honor for me to be on the nomination list with them."

Philbin saw that the time was almost up and said, "I wish you an Oscar soon."

Martin took Elizabeth into the Kodak Theater.

In the distance, he saw Daniel Day-Lewis and Scott Rudin.

The latter is also an Oscar public relations master, and even half of the Weinstein brothers' brilliant performance at the Oscars before 2003 was due to him.

But he eventually broke with the Weinstein brothers, and even became the new helmsman of Miramax after the Weinstein brothers were kicked out of Miramax by Disney.

Rudin served as the lead producer for the two most popular films at this year's Oscars, "No Country for Old Men" and "There Will Be Blood."

Martin and Elizabeth went straight into the hall and quickly found where the crew of "The Reader" was.

Kate and Sam Mendes have entered.

Leonardo was sitting in the same row with them.

The latter greeted Elizabeth and deliberately disgusted Martin: "Good evening, runner."

Elizabeth couldn't help but laugh. She had carefully understood the people around Martin. It seemed that apart from Old Bull, Mene and Thomas, the ones he had the best relationship with were Leonardo and Nicholson.

Martin hit back bluntly: "I don't talk to a man who runs 11 seconds for the 15 meters... oh, no, it's seconds for the meters now."

Leonardo gave Martin a middle finger: "Even if you mock me, your fate as a runner-up has just begun."

Martin nodded: "Unlike you, who has been running for ten years and still can't see the end."

Elizabeth next to her was helpless and asked Kate on her right: "Are they always like this?"

"Why else are they called the Asshole Trio?" Kate was too lazy to pay attention to the two idiots.

Nicholson came over at this time, with his arms outstretched, as if he were the king of the world: "The real Oscar king is here!"

Martin immediately turned his gun around: "This guy is crazy."

Leonardo DiCaprio agreed: "If you've won an Oscar, your brain won't be normal."

"Haha... I have three little golden men, and the two of you together..." Nicholson raised his finger and made a big circle, almost imprinted on Martin and Leonardo's faces: "The number of little golden men is zero!"

Martin and Leonardo were hit hard and were speechless for a moment.

This is the Oscars, where the golden man is king.

Elizabeth was worried that Martin would be hurt, so she leaned over and whispered in his ear: "I have confidence in you. I believe you will win an Oscar soon."

Seeing the sweet smile on her face, Martin's heart, which had been hit by the old bastard, was instantly healed. He couldn't help but pat Elizabeth's hand gently: "I will definitely get it before Leo."

Just behind this row, four people came, Harvey and his wife Georgina, and the Affleck brothers.

Georgina patted Martin's seat, waited for him to turn around, and greeted Martin, Kate and others one by one.

Harvey shook hands with Martin and said, "I didn't expect you to be nominated for Best Actor so soon."

This meant that his best hope of seducing Martin was of little use.

When it comes to the commercial appeal of movies, Weinstein's films can't catch up with Martin.

Martin smiled and said, "I'm lucky."

Harvey emphasized Ben Affleck and Casey Affleck next to him and said, "Ben is a director now. If there is a suitable project, you can work together."

He turned around and talked to Sam Mendes. Because of his good friend Matt Damon, Ben had a very bad impression of Martin and spoke emotionally: "As a small director, I can't afford a big star like Martin."

The words sounded like a compliment, but as a famous player in the Yin-Yang world, Martin could not help but hear the hidden meaning in them, and specifically hit back: "If the project is suitable and the remuneration meets my requirements, I can consider it."

Casey Affleck, who has a big beard, was unhappy: "When Ben was getting paid like a superstar, you didn't even know where you were."

"Really?" Leonardo was never afraid of trouble, but was afraid of small troubles: "It seems that none of us three are qualified."

Nicholson saw that there was fun to be had, so why would he be absent? Moreover, the leader of the bastard trio was always brave and aggressive, and he took advantage of his seniority to bully others: "You're from the Foot Gang, who are you from?"

Harvey would have a headache facing Nicholson who has no desires.

Da Ben quickly said, "We don't mean anything else, and we don't disrespect you."

Martin glanced at Cassie and said, "Don't make trouble. The face gang and the foot gang are like well water and river water. They have nothing to do with each other."

Cassie looked gloomy and said nothing more.

Harvey heard the rest of the conversation, ended his conversation with Sam Mendes, turned around and said, "What face gang or foot gang? We are all friends in the same circle."

Georgina glanced over there and shook her head secretly.

In fact, she doesn't like several people around Harvey, especially Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.

There was no way that she could have been completely kept in the dark about some of the things Harvey did. Her service brand needed celebrity promotion, so she could only wait and see.

Georgina has heard rumors that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have been acting as her husband's accomplices.

The three backbone members of the Face Gang turned around and sat back in their seats.

Brothers Harvey and Affleck also sat down.

Only Kate and Georgina were left whispering across their seats.

Harvey glanced at Martin in the row in front of him and didn't mention the invitation rashly.

At the Oscars, Martin has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Best Actor.

Commercially, Weinstein Co. has not been able to match Louise Mayer's Pacific Pictures in recent years.

Martin is a member of the bastard trio who wants to use his power to overpower others, and behind him stands the unscrupulous Nicholson.

Harvey had a headache. This was a difficult situation.

Casey Affleck, who was standing next to him, looked frustrated and whispered, "They look down on us brothers."

Big Ben was silent for a moment: "We have been in a bad situation in the past two years."

Cassie said: "Your directorial debut, Gone Baby Gone, has received rave reviews. You will definitely be able to make a comeback as long as you find the right script and project."

Ben Affleck nodded. He had hit a dead end on his acting career and had been unable to make a comeback, so he had no choice but to choose the path of a director. Unexpectedly, his first work became a success.

Cassie glanced at Harvey and saw that his attention was not here, so she said, "We, and Matt, have done so much for Harvey, he must support us."

"He's doing it." Big Ben glanced at the three people in front of him and reminded them emphatically: "The bastard trio has no direct conflict of interest with us, so don't provoke them."

Cassie nodded and glanced at the three of them. He couldn't afford to offend either Nicholson or Leon Ando.

In the front row, Elizabeth asked, "Do they have a problem with you?"

Martin said roughly: "There have been several conflicts between the Face Gang and the Foot Gang."

He then explained the origins of the lower face and foot gangs.

Elizabeth blinked her beautiful eyes: "I can also help you wash your face."

Before Martin could speak, Leonardo on the other side pulled him and said, "The Foot Gang seems to want to challenge us."

Nicholson asked, "Hit them?"

I feel uncomfortable if I don't do anything for a day.

Martin thought for a moment and said, "This is not a good time. The Weinstein brothers are behind them. Let's not do anything rash."

Nicholson added, "That frustrated guy is no good. You two should be careful." He began to think, "The Face Gang vs. the Foot Gang. I need to think of a solution."

Elizabeth heard all these words, and suddenly felt that Martin's life was really colorful.

In another row of seats, Saoirse Ronan from the "Atonement" crew took out her phone and sent a text message: "Teacher, look to your left."

Martin pulled out his vibrating cell phone, glanced at it, and looked to his left.

Saoirse Ronan was waving at him, and then sent another text: "It seems you guys are having trouble with those bastards in the back row. Do you want me to take a sneak shot of them?"

Martin made a downward gesture towards that side.

Saoirse calmed down and stopped texting.

Elizabeth also saw her. The two had met on the set of "Benjamin" and couldn't help but say, "Saoirse was nominated for Best Supporting Actress."

Martin pointed down the stage and Elizabeth said no more.

The music started, the lights on the stage came on, and the award ceremony began.

Even the runner-up Leonardo DiCaprio became serious.
