Chapter 14 Mr. Azik

As the shadows began to gradually engulf the streets in the distance, Gawain brought Lewis into the room and drank beer with Lewis.

Lewis wanted to go back earlier, but Mr. Gawain was not easy either, so he drank some with Mr. Gawain.

"Lewis, you are the most promising student I have ever seen, and you are a genius who combines martial arts and firearms!" Gawain drank a few glasses and asked in a slightly drunken state, "You must carry forward the spirit of chivalry and martial arts, and let the kingdom recognize the power of martial arts again."

"I will." Lewis agreed on the surface, but in his heart he quickly denied what he had just promised.

Let the kingdom know the power of fighting? What are you thinking? Guns are the world now, and in a few hundred years, airplanes and cannons will probably be the world.

Just imagine that one day you go to fight an armed gangster with bare hands. The gangster will definitely smile evilly and then use his Gatling gun to attack you from all angles.

After getting Lewis's consent, Gawain smiled with relief. He hugged Lewis, tears welling up in his eyes, and said:
"Congratulations, from today on, you have graduated from me. You are my best student."

"I won't embarrass you," Lewis promised.

Suddenly, the iron gate with a slight rotten smell was opened from the outside, and a man with a high hairline walked through the small path where two people were walking side by side and pushed open the half-open door. He had a blank look in his eyes, as if he had forgotten something.

Lewis's spirit gave him a response of "this is an acquaintance", and he immediately recognized that this familiar gentleman was the captain of the Nighthawks, the forgetful gentleman, Dunn Smith.

"Officer, what are you doing here?" Gao Wen asked with a gloomy face.

"I want to talk to you about the recent public security issues." Dunn Smith sat down and looked at Lewis, as if he suddenly discovered something.

"Have we met somewhere before?" Dunn stared at Lewis and asked.

"We live on the same street and have met each other several times."

“Sorry, I can’t remember clearly.” Dunn tapped his forehead, trying to recall information about Lewis, but he had too many troubles recently and he couldn’t remember at all.

Lewis expressed his understanding. After all, the most notable characteristic of the captain of the Nighthawks was his forgetfulness, and the potion had eroded and polluted his mind.

Dunn Smith poured a glass of beer and started drinking it. As an ordinary police officer, he complained to Gawain about the recent security situation. Welch's death had already become the focus of Tingen City, but the vicious criminal who broke into the house and robbed it had not yet been dealt with.

Suddenly, Dunn's eyes flickered, and he said to Gao Wen, "By the way, there is one more thing. According to the contract you signed with the police department, a police officer will learn fighting skills from you in a few days."

The wine glass in Gao Wen's hand trembled violently, and liquid poured out of the glass. He said indignantly: "Damn it, another rookie from your police department. I don't want to teach those idiots."

After teaching Lewis, Gawain developed an aversion to the rookies in the police department. Not only does teaching a genius not require too much energy, but he can also experience the joy of being a teacher, which is a real enjoyment.

The rookies in the police department were nothing like Lewis. They were like a group of well-dressed curly-haired baboons who could only wave their arms and yell.

"This is your duty. According to the agreement you signed with the police department, even if you are a rookie, you must take it seriously." Dunn Smith excused Klein in his heart. Klein was not a rookie. He was a Sequence 9 Beyonder and a true fortuneteller. Of course, Dunn could not tell Gawain about these complaints. Beyonder events and Beyonders were kept secret from ordinary people.

"Okay, okay." Gawain complained in defeat, "I really hope the rookies in your police department can have half the talent of Lewis. No, at least one tenth of it will be good. This will at least prove that they are not a bunch of useless curly-haired baboons!"

After listening to Gawain's complaints, Dunn Smith began to pay attention to Lewis. There were very few young people who could receive such an evaluation from Gawain.

No, it had never happened before, and the old knight was unusually harsh in his assessment of his apprentice.

……

Walking along the river in front of Khoyi University, the cypress and maple forests blocked the already limited sunlight. Lewis looked across the river at Tingen University, where he once studied. It was much more luxurious than Khoyi University.

It's too late today. I must remember to visit Mr. Azik tomorrow. Although this angel has not yet recovered his memory, he may be able to give him some help.

Lewis paused, took off his hat, bowed slightly to the man in a suit who came out of the campus of Hoy University, and greeted: "Good evening, Mr. Azik."

"Do you know me?" The middle-aged man with bronze skin, black hair and brown eyes raised his cane and looked at the young man in front of him puzzledly.

"I used to be a student at Hoy University. You may not know me, but I have admired you for a long time." Lewis changed the subject and reminded him implicitly: "Maybe you forgot. I heard that your memory is not very good."

"You are such a polite young man. I wish you better development." Azik exchanged a few polite words with Lewis. He never thought that he had a bad memory. What kind of nonsense are students spreading nowadays?
Suddenly, Azik stopped. He always had a strange dream. In the dream, he sometimes wandered in strange streets, and sometimes sat on the pale throne. Perhaps, he really forgot something.

"Wait a minute." Azik turned around. He wanted to ask Lewis what he meant by what he just said, but he didn't ask in the end.

The other party did not intend to remind him specifically, which meant that the other party might have something to hide. To be honest, the malice following Lewis made people feel uncomfortable, as if they were in an ice cellar in winter.

"When can we meet again?" Azik hesitated for a long time, and finally all his emotions returned to calm.

Lewis thought for a moment, put on his hat, and said, "We will meet again at the crossroads of fate."

After saying this, Lewis did not dare to stay for too long. His figure gradually faded into the tree-lined path intersected by cypress and maple trees, and disappeared with the disappearing sunlight.

"Destiny?" Azik pondered over this word, and always had a familiar feeling, but he couldn't recall it no matter what. The feeling of loss was not pleasant.

He vaguely felt that Lewis could bring back his past memories. If there was a chance, he would definitely communicate more with this amazing young man the next time they met.

Of course, the premise is that Lewis has returned to normal and no longer has that malicious feeling.
