Chapter 464: 12 Phantom Thieves Detective

Chapter 464: 12 Phantom Thieves Detective
After fifteen minutes of free discussion, the system prompt sounded again.

[The MVP of this round is player No. 4]

No one disputes this.

Gu Feng's performance as the gravekeeper in this round was indeed very eye-catching.

Especially the logical game between him and player No. 6, it is very exciting to listen to.

6 tried to trick the gravekeeper into using a fake perspective, and Gu Feng almost fell for it, but fortunately, he reacted at the critical moment. If it were someone else, with the help of the mathematician, he would definitely have been able to get 6, 9, 10, and 11 wolves.

Once the two good guys 9 and 11 become the anti-push positions, it is conceivable that the Wolves will definitely win this game.

It should have been a great performance by player No. 6, but it was broken by Gu Feng. He deserved the MVP title and no one could deny it.

After the second game, Gu Feng's personal score had reached 15 points.

After winning MVP for two consecutive games, Gu Feng is confident that he can advance directly to the next round.

But we still can't take it lightly. If he can get the MVP twice by chance, others should be able to do it too. It is even possible that some big guys will get the MVP in all three games.

Therefore, Gu Feng felt that if he wanted to secure a place in the top six, he had to win the MVP again, otherwise it would still be unsafe.

After a short break of half an hour, Gu Feng entered the game again.

[All players, please note that the third round of the regional competition has officially begun]

[This game is played on a 12-player Phantom Thief Hunter board]

【Board configuration】

[Good Team: Detective, Police Dog, Witch, Hunter + Four Civilians]

[Werewolf Camp: Phantom Thief Wolf King + three ordinary werewolves]

[Speech time: three minutes]

[Witch: You can’t save yourself in the whole process]

[There is a sheriff. The sheriff has the right to return the vote, and has an extra 0.5 votes and seconds of speaking time]

[Double explosion swallowing police badge]

Three brand new characters appear on the Detective Phantom Thief board.

First, let’s talk about the detective, a clergyman in the good camp. His skill is during the police speaking phase. The detective can choose to activate the skill to forcibly obtain the police badge, but it does not change the speaking order.

What do you mean?
For example, player No. 2 is a detective, but he did not get the police badge or was not on the police force at all. The badge was taken away by someone else. If he wants the badge, he can use his skills to snatch it from others.

However, the established speaking order will not change. For example, after player No. 4 speaks, it will be No. 5, No. 6, No. 7, and so on. It will not change just because the detective activates a skill.

At the same time, when the detective activates the skill, all werewolves on that day cannot self-destruct.

After the detective finishes speaking for the round, he can designate a player to die, and that player will directly turn over his card.

If the opponent is a good person, the police dog will gain the biting skill at night and can bite a player to death. If the person bitten to death is a hunter, he can use the skill the next day.

However, if the hunter is designated by the detective to turn over the death card, he cannot activate the skill.

If the opponent is a werewolf, the police dog gains the inspection skill at night and can check whether a player is a good person or a wolf.

If the opponent is the Phantom Thief Wolf King who has activated a skill, he will be immune to this damage and the game will go straight into darkness.

The police dog also belongs to the clergy of the good camp, and his skills depend on the player designated by the detective to flip the death card.

However, one thing to note is that the police dog cannot use skills unless the detective activates them. Also, after the detective activates a skill, the police dog's skill must be used that night.

The player who is bitten to death by the police dog does not turn over his card, so he does not know whether the other player is a good person or a werewolf.

Let’s talk about the Phantom Thief Wolf King. As the name suggests, he is the big brother of the wolf team. At night, he opens his eyes and acts at the same time as the little wolf, but he can open his eyes alone afterwards and choose whether to activate skills.

If you activate a skill, you cannot self-destruct during the daytime round when you activate the skill, but you can self-destruct in the following daytime rounds.

On the night when the Phantom Thief Wolf King activates his skill (shield) and during the day of the same turn, the Phantom Thief Wolf King is immune to all damage, such as the witch's poison, the good people's exile vote, the hunter's shooting, and the detective's designated death.

However, this skill is only available on the night and day of the round when it is activated, and cannot be extended to the next round. Moreover, when only the Phantom Thief Wolf King is left on the field, he cannot activate the skill.

[Players please check your identity cards]

The system's beep sounded in everyone's ears.

Gu Feng prayed silently in his heart that he would get a detective. This board detective was quite interesting, equivalent to an enhanced version of the knight.

If the knight pokes a good guy, his own cards will fall, and if he pokes a werewolf, the opponent's cards will fall. But it's different for the detective. If he flips over a good guy, he'll be fine, and if he flips over a werewolf, he'll be even fine. The only difference is whether he can help the good guy chase a round, and what skills the police dog gets.

If you really can't get a detective, you can give him a Phantom Thief Wolf King. The timing of using this card to raise the shield is very important. If used well, it is equivalent to helping the Wolf Team chase a round, but if used poorly, it will be useless.

He likes both the detective and the phantom thief wolf king. As for the police dog, there is room for manipulation, but the name is a bit ugly. Who the hell wants to be a dog?

Thinking in his mind, Gu Feng looked at the small screen in front of him. It was not a detective, nor a phantom thief wolf king, but a very dog-like card, a police dog.

Gu Feng was at a loss whether to laugh or cry about this. It was just a police dog, after all it had a skill, and was better than a commoner.

[Players, please confirm your identity cards]

The system beep sounded again.

Gu Feng subconsciously glanced at his seat number.

10 number.

[Please close your eyes when it gets dark]

There is no prophet in this board. On the first night, the wolf will kill people, and then the witch will save people.

The situation on the first day was similar to the equation paradox of the previous game, which was to play deep push.

If the detective chooses to activate the skill, he will designate one person to die. If he does not activate the skill, the good guy can only vote according to his feelings.

The night operation was quickly over.

After daybreak, it is time to report to the police.

[Players who want to report to the police please light up the lights to indicate, players who do not want to report to the police do not need to do anything]

Listening to the system's prompt, Gu Feng chose to go on the police without hesitation. As a police dog, he had to go on the police detective to check things out and have a chat.

It didn't take long for the police report to come out.

【本局上警的有1号、2号、3号、5号、6号、8号、9号、10号、11号、12号,共十位玩家】

[Randomly start speaking from player 10 in reverse order]

"I was the first to speak?"

Gu Feng was stunned. With so many people reporting to the police, he was the first one to do so. This seemed like a good sign.

[Player No. 10 please speak]

"I came here to chat with the police. There is no prophet on this board who can verify people. On the first day, we have to listen to speeches and do deep push again."

"But my suggestion is that the hunter should not jump, and the detective should directly take the identity and get the badge to lead the team, and then flip the card. We will use this as the logical basis from now on."

Gu Feng felt that it would be better for the hunter to lead the team in this case, and it would be better for the detective to just take a photo to identify himself and get the police badge.

The detective cannot examine people at night, but he can do it during the day. After listening to two rounds of speeches by the police, he chooses to activate the skill.

No matter whether the other party is a good person or a wolf, you can sort out their common border relationships, and then follow the clues to recognize the good people you can recognize, and point the people who should be pointed into the wolf pit into the wolf pit.

Although this method is impossible to find all the werewolves, it is indeed an effective way to fight.

"As long as the detective doesn't turn over a god on the first day, it's all acceptable. If he turns over the wrong number, the police dog can bite people at night to chase them. If he turns over the right number, the police dog will come out the next day to verify the person's information. In this way, the good guys basically win."

"I'm not afraid of werewolves jumping against me. Just treat it as a prophet jumping against me. I think by the next day, after combining all the speech information and analyzing and judging, it won't be a problem to stand on the right side."

"But if the detective really turns over the good guy card on the first day, then the police dog will have to think carefully about who to bite at night."

"Detectives and police dogs must chase the good guys for at least one round, otherwise they are basically doomed to fail." "If the detective turns up a werewolf on the first day, the police dog will have an easy time, but if the detective turns up a good guy on the first day, the police dog will be under a lot of pressure."

"I know that some people think that detectives shouldn't use their skills rashly. After all, the information they heard on the first day was too little. If they listen to the speeches for two more days, the probability of encountering a werewolf will be much higher."

"Also, the police dog's skills follow the detective's. If the detective activates the skills on the first day, the police dog will have to use them up at night. This seems a bit too hasty. It's better to listen to the speeches and at least wait until the next day to activate the skills."

"Let the hunter lead the team on the first day. The police badge is in the hands of the gun card, and the good guys feel more at ease. How should I put it? This way of playing has certain advantages, but it also has disadvantages, that is, the longer the night, the more dreams there are."

"If the detective doesn't jump on the first day, the wolf could knife the detective or the police dog on the second night. There's no guard on this board, right?"

"Let's take a step back and say that even if the wolf goes to the hunter on the table, what if the hunter turns over the cards and ends up with the detective or the witch with the police dog? There is still a risk in returning the tickets on the first day."

"So, it's best for the detective to jump out and flip the cards. Although the detective may also hit the god card, once the other party flips the cards, we at least know whether it is a good guy or a wolf who is out, right?"

"Of course, the above are just my personal suggestions and thoughts. There are many ways to play and understand each board. It depends on what the hunter and detective think."

"If the hunter jumps first, the detective should just stay alive for a round. Similarly, if the detective jumps, the hunter should hide his identity. Don't think that you can just turn around and take on anyone you want. Be a hunter who can stay calm."

It can be heard that Gu Feng really wants the detective to lead the team with a police badge. Even if the detective turns out to be a good guy, it is still a trap and a logical basis for the good guy, right?

Then at night Gu Feng could bite people, one little wolf cub at a time.

The next day, the good guys can find wolf traps based on the common edge relationship between the flipped player and the external position. This is the advantage of the detective jumping out.

The hunter cannot do these things, because who knows whether the other party is a good person or a wolf.

The most important thing is, if the detective does not use his skills on the first day, he will miss the best opportunity to hunt down the Phantom Thief Wolf King, and he will have to delay using his skills until the third day. After all, if the detective does not use his skills, he can only watch helplessly.

"That's all I want to say, officer. I hope you can recognize me after listening to my speech. This way, whether it's returning the ticket or the detective flipping the card, the chances of finding the werewolf will be much greater."

"As for the 4 and 7 people under the police, I will not hastily say whether they are wolves or not, or how many wolves they are. I will define their identities after listening to their speeches. That's it, it's over."

[Player No. 9 please speak]

"How should I put it? Player 10 hopes that the detective will jump out and take the police badge to lead the team. This way, the logical base point can be determined as early as possible. However, this way, the probability of turning over a good guy on the first day of playing the detective is very high."

"If it's a civilian, it's fine. I can just treat it as a trap, but what if it's a hunter, a witch, or a police dog?"

"If we want to fight faster, we can go to the highway, and the detectives, hunters, and witches will all jump out on the first day, leaving only the police dogs."

"If the detective finds a werewolf, the police dog will test another one at night, and report the test information the next day. The wolf team will basically have no chance of winning. Not only will they fall behind in rounds, but they will also not have enough space to survive."

"If the detective turns up a good guy, the police dog should be able to kill a wolf by chasing the wolf at night."

"After all, three god cards have jumped out, plus the good guys who were turned over and eliminated, four wolves are left among the seven people, and the speeches during the day can be used to analyze the relationship between the two parties. If they can still kill the wrong person after all, then there is nothing much to say. Just one word, judge for yourself."

What else can it be? It's just "bad". Everyone knows what Player 9 wants to say, but does that mean he is a good person? Not necessarily.

Compared with Gu Feng's playing style, player No. 9 is more aggressive. He actually wants to play out the three magic cards except the police dog to prevent the magic cards from being pushed back or turned over.

Doing so is beneficial, as it can compress the werewolf's living space as much as possible. In this case, the probability of the detective turning over the wrong card is much smaller.

But the disadvantages are also obvious, that is, there is no tolerance for error. On the first day, all the god cards are stuck on the table. Once you fall behind in a round, it means you have lost the game.

Unless the witch and the police dog kill a wolf each, the werewolf can just slash with the knife.

"How about it, brothers? I have expressed my thoughts. Who agrees and who disagrees?"

"If possible, let's fight like this, Mr. Police. The wolves don't dare to jump against the hunters and witches, and the detectives are even less likely to do so. The police dogs can jump, but we can't let them jump. This way, the wolves will be very uncomfortable."

"My strategy is to die if I don't succeed, which has its pros and cons. Detective, think about it carefully. In fact, if both the hunter and the witch show up on the first day, the possibility of you turning over a werewolf is much greater."

"If the wolf can't be found after all this, I don't think it's unfair that I lost, because the detective played too badly. I listened to the speeches of the police and the police, and arranged the positions as much as possible, but still couldn't find the wolf. Who can I blame?"

"If you think I'm playing too aggressively and risky, just ignore what I said. But don't pretend I'm the wolf and I'm setting the pace to trick the god card into popping out. I just heard player 10 talking to the detective in the front position about getting the police badge, so I thought of sharing my thoughts."

"As for player No. 10, I define his identity as X. He could be a wolf or a good guy. To put it bluntly, it is impossible to define him for the time being."

"But I am definitely a good guy, a steely good guy. If you recognize me, your chances of winning this round are at least 70%. If I am a wolf, it will be hard to win."

"There are two people under the police, 4 and 7. I feel that one of them is going to be a wolf. The probability of both of them being good people or both of them being wolves is relatively low, unless both of them speak very badly. Otherwise, I don't want to discuss that small probability situation."

"Okay, that's all I want to say on the police. You're a good guy, that's it. It's over."

[Player No. 8 please speak]

"No, can't we just play by the rules? On the first day, the hunter will come out with the police badge and lead the team to return the votes. The other magic cards should be hidden. We have to have confidence in the hunter, and he should be able to return the votes."

"Even if it's not the wolf, it shouldn't be attributed to other divine cards, right? If that's the case, I don't think it's a problem with the playing method, it's a problem with the people."

"It's best for detectives to listen to the speeches before coming out to flip cards. In my opinion, detectives are the same as knights. When they jump out, they must make sure to kill a wolf for the good guys to chase their turns, rather than opening a blind box where they don't even know whether the card they flipped is a wolf or not."

"So whether it's the proposal of player 9 or player 10, I can't agree with them. I can't say their ideas are wrong, but they are indeed different from what I think."

"The first day of this board is a deep push. After listening to the speeches of the whole day, can the detective be sure to turn over the wolf? I'm afraid no one dares to say that. But after two days of speeches, plus the people who were eliminated on the first and second nights have lined up the pits, then the detective will basically not turn over the wrong card."

"If I were a detective, I would just lie low for a day, come out tomorrow and make my final decision. On the third day, the police dog would jump out and report the person I had checked. Isn't that a sure win?"

"Player No. 10 said that the longer the night, the more trouble there is. This worry is unnecessary. As long as the identity is well hidden, the possibility of the wolf hitting the detective or the police dog with the knife is very low."

Listening to the speech of player No. 8, Gu Feng rolled his eyes and said, "Bullshit."

On the first day, the detective does not jump, and the hunter leads the team to send out one. If it is not the wolf, there are only seven good people left on the field. Excluding the hunter whose identity has been photographed, the detective and the police dog will be among the six good people with unknown identities.

With this knife, there is a one-third chance of killing the detective or police dog. Is this probability low?
The detective luckily escaped the wolf's knife attack on the second night. Could the police dog escape the wolf's knife attack on the third night and report the suspect alive? It was almost impossible.

Therefore, it is easy for player No. 8 to talk without any concern. It is hard to say whether this guy is a wolf or not, but what is certain is that he does not have a full understanding of the board and is definitely not good at math.

"The No. 9 player in the front position has a gangster side. He made all the god cards jump out to clear the pit, saying that he was afraid that the cards would be attributed to the gods. I wonder if the hunter is so bad? It's ok that he can't get a wolf, but can he push the gods?"

"As for 9's remarks, if you think positively, it is a cautious move, to be prepared for the worst, to eliminate the possibility of the first day's God Card being eliminated from the game. But if you think negatively, it is to lead the rhythm to trick the God Card into revealing their identity, so that they can kill the God more easily."

"So I said that player No. 9 has a gangster side. Who knows if he has a good mentality or if he is the werewolf leading the pace?"

"As for Player 10, although I don't quite agree with his play, objectively speaking it's not completely unreasonable. Letting the detective reveal the cards and correct the perspective does help the good guys quickly establish a logical basis."

"But if the detective uses his skills on the first day, the chances of him exposing a good guy are relatively high, unless he is sure he can find the wolf."

"10 is a preference, but I don't fully accept it. 9 is a bandit, but not necessarily a wolf. This is how I define 9 and 10."

"And I hope the hunter will come out to lead the team, and the other gods will stay hidden for the time being. That's it, we're done."

[Player No. 6 please speak]

"It's interesting that people 8, 9, and 10 actually came up with three different ways to play."

"I don't know what you guys think, but I'm more inclined to agree with Player 10 that the detective came out to reveal the cards on the first day to set the scene."

"As long as the person uncovered is not a god, it doesn't matter even if he is a commoner. If the detective can uncover the god's card after two rounds of speeches by the police, then I can only say that he is a talent."

"As long as the detective is not too bad, the chances of uncovering a wolf on the first day are actually quite high."

"If I were a detective, I would have a 70% chance of uncovering the wolf card, a 29% chance of uncovering the civilian card, and a 0.1% chance of uncovering the god card."

"But do we still need to consider a probability of 10? It's almost negligible. So what player No. said about the detective coming out to reveal the cards and get a straight perspective is pretty much what I thought."

"And the play of player No. 9 is too aggressive. He lets all the God Cards jump out, and the police dog just stays hidden. Brother, you think so much, but have you ever thought about what if the detective happens to be on the police dog? Shouldn't you just let the police dog jump out as well?"

"Your so-called high-speed play is quite high-speed. Either the wolf team collapses, or the good guys collapse. It feels like a gambler's mentality, pinning all hopes on the detective uncovering the wolf on the first day. What if he uncovers a civilian and the werewolf goes on a massacre route at night, we won't be able to catch up even if we want to."

"So you should never try the play style of player 9. If you try, you will die."

"Player 8 asked the Hunter to jump out and lead the team to play deep push. Compared with the aggressiveness of Player 9, his idea was too conservative. The Detective jumped out on the second day. What if the Wolf figured out his identity on the first day and killed him?"

"Besides, the detective jumps on the second day, and the police dog's skills can only be triggered on the third night. This is too late. Who can guarantee that the police dog will not be stabbed, poisoned, or pushed during this process?"

"The best way is for the detective to listen to the next round of speeches by the police, and for the police dogs to unblock their skills at night and check people when necessary and bite people when necessary. No delay is allowed. Player No. 10 is absolutely right when he said that the longer the night, the more troubles one may have."

"8 and 9 are too radical and too conservative, and it feels like they are opposites. Moreover, player 8 also pointed out that 9 might be a wolf, so from my perspective, if one of 8 and 9 is a wolf, player 10 should be a good person."

"Hunter, don't jump. Let the detective jump out and reveal the cards. I believe he won't be so bad as to reveal the cards of the hunter, witch, or police dog."

"Okay, that's all I want to say on the police. I support the way Player 10 plays. I hope the detective will come out and reveal the cards and correct the situation. Don't hide until the next day. That's it. Pass."
