Chapter 498 Ada's Thoughts

Chapter 498 Ada's Thoughts

After the therapist finished speaking, the door of the emergency room behind him opened again, and Mr. Weasley, who was lying on the bed, was pushed out and into an observation room next to it.

Mrs. Weasley followed immediately with Bill and Ada.

Mr. Weasley on the hospital bed was still in a coma. His face was pale, his body was wrapped in thick gauze, and his breathing was relatively steady.

The therapists gave a few instructions and then left the observation room. Mrs. Weasley was then able to walk forward and take a good look at her husband.

The observation room was very quiet. Mrs. Weasley sat beside the bed, her eyes never leaving her husband; Bill stood beside his mother. While he was worried about his parents, he was also worried about his younger siblings.

Ada leaned against the wall, staring at the pale ceiling, wondering what she was thinking.

The long night gradually passed, the sky in the east turned pale, and a ray of dawn light was cast into the window of the observation room. At this time, Mr. Weasley on the bed groaned slightly and slowly opened his eyes.

Mrs. Weasley immediately stood up nervously and asked with concern. Bill strode out of the ward, and soon the two therapists followed him back to the observation room.

After the two healers carefully examined him from head to toe, left to right, they announced that Mr. Weasley was out of danger, but the wounds on his body still needed time to heal.

Although Mr. Weasley was still very weak after waking up, he kept comforting his wife and told her not to worry about him. Seeing that Mr. Weasley was clear-headed and in good condition, everyone finally put their worries back into their stomachs.

Perhaps because he had lost too much blood and was still very weak, Mr. Weasley fell asleep again not long after. This time, Mr. Weasley's breathing was even, slow, and much stronger than before.

Seeing Mr. Weasley sleeping peacefully, Mrs. Weasley also went back to rest under the persuasion of Bill and Ada. After a night of anxiety, Mrs. Weasley needed a good rest, and the children at No. 12 Grimmauld Place were still waiting for her.

After Mrs. Weasley left, Bill waved his head, motioning Ada to go out with him, as he had something to say.

The two stood in the corridor, and Bill observed his father through the small window on the door and said, "Ida, although we haven't met much, I have heard a lot about you from Charlie, Fred, and George."

"They must have said a lot of bad things about me," Ida laughed, and she really laughed, "Charlie is a big bad guy with a dark heart!"

"I couldn't agree more with that," Bill said. "Ida, if you did something last night, tell me. We're a family, and we can always figure it out."

Ada glanced at Bill, the eldest son of the Weasley family, whose eyes were sincere. Like Charlie, he regarded Ada as his own sister.

The reason I kept asking questions was not to blame her, but as an eldest brother I wanted to help my sister who was in trouble.

"You're in a bad state right now, even Ron can see it." Bill continued, "I'm Bill, Bill who is smarter than Percy and Charlie."

Ada patted her cheeks twice and said, "Bill, this matter is between me and Dumbledore."

Bill didn't finish his words, but he understood. Talking to smart people saves time and effort. Bill suddenly stretched out his hand and pressed on Ada's head, and then forced Ada to turn towards the stairs.

"We are a family, and family members will never let each other down." Bill said, "Go eat something! Eat quickly, and then you can take my turn. I'm starving."

After being pushed by Bill, Ada took several steps forward. When she looked back, Bill only gave her a bright smile. Looking at this smile, Ada's hesitation in her heart intensified.

Walking silently towards the tea room and shop on the sixth floor, Ada ignored the noise coming from the portraits in the corridor. These portraits simply gave Ada a bunch of symptoms and exaggerated her condition, as if they wanted to say that she would disappear in the next second.

But in fact, Ada was not sick at all. She just hadn't slept all night and was full of worries.

There weren't many customers in the teahouse, and because the food wasn't very good, it was just enough to fill your stomach.

Ada walked through the empty sixth floor with her plate in hand, and finally sat down in a corner, with no one around her. She took the sandwich from the plate and took a big bite, but it was too dry to swallow.

Putting the unpalatable sandwich down, she picked up the hot milk and took a sip.

Hot milk, as the name implies, is hot, so Ada's tongue was burned. She fanned herself with her left hand and touched her earlobe with her right hand, which had just held the cup. This was an unusually difficult breakfast, full of ups and downs. When Ada finished the first sandwich and picked up the second one, a person she didn't want to see today appeared.

Dumbledore sat opposite Ada, looking exhausted.

Dumbledore didn't speak, and Ada didn't speak either. She picked up the second sandwich and took two more bites. She couldn't swallow it anymore, so she put it down and took out her handkerchief to clean it.

At this time Dumbledore spoke up and said, "Dalis told me that you came to St. Mungo's alone and without any cover."

"Yes, he walked in with a swagger." Ada put down her handkerchief. "Very reckless."

"Did you enjoy this breakfast?" Dumbledore asked. The headmaster could guess what Ada had done, but he hoped it was not true.

Ada looked at the half-eaten sandwich and said, "I don't feel at ease. It's too disgusting. Such disgusting food will affect the patient's mood. If the patient is in a bad mood, it will be difficult for him to recover..."

Ada avoided the question. She knew why Dumbledore came to see her, and she knew the headmaster would definitely come. She just didn't expect him to come so early and so soon.

"What did you do?" asked Dumbledore. The headmaster still wanted to hear Ada's words in person rather than guessing.

"It's not a big deal." Ada rubbed her sleepy eyes. "I gave Fudge a gift." She glanced at the sky outside the window again and said, "The Minister should be awake by now and should see the gift I gave him."

After the battle, Ada used the Vanishing Spell to clean up the bodies of the three people from the Ministry of Magic and destroy all traces.

Without a body, even if the Ministry of Magic wanted to cause trouble, it would have difficulty finding an excuse, and the matter should have ended there. What followed was endless wrangling with the Ministry of Magic over the disappearance of three employees.

But Ada didn't do that. Instead of putting an end to the matter, she made it a bigger deal.

Ada sent the wands of these three people to Cornelius Fudge's home and placed them on the Minister's bedside, just as she had done in Borgin and Burke's.

The Minister was sleeping soundly at the time, so Ada could kill Cornelius Fudge quietly, light a fire, and then manually set off a big explosion outside the house.

Not only can we get rid of Fudge who is a hindrance, but we can also frame Voldemort who is hiding in the dark, achieving the best of two worlds.

But Ada didn't do that. On the one hand, she wanted the Ministry of Magic to avoid chaos. On the other hand, she wanted Fudge to be alive and well.

Staying alive is Ada's punishment for Fudge.

Only by continuing to live can the Minister see the returning Voldemort; only by living can the Minister know how stupid he is.

Every person who died in this war could be blamed on Cornelius Fudge. It was his greed, his stupidity, and his weakness that killed them. As long as he was alive, every second of Fudge's remaining life would be torture.

"You are playing with fire, Ada," said Dumbledore. "You are playing with fire, Ada," said Dumbledore. "You are setting Fudge and I against each other. This will cause unnecessary casualties. No, it has already happened."

"Professor Dumbledore, you and I both know why Voldemort hid himself." Ada said, "The prophecy is one thing. On the other hand, he has just returned, and he needs to recuperate and recruit troops. Letting Fudge continue to hold back will only make this war more difficult."

"So you are taking this opportunity to stir up a conflict between him and me so that I can force him out of office?" Dumbledore asked.

Ada looked out the window, feeling comfortable in the morning sunlight. She said, "Yes, it will push him and you. Of course, it would be even better if Fudge was frightened into believing that Voldemort had returned."

Is it possible? No, Ada was forcing Dumbledore. Since Dumbledore didn't want to do it, she would force him to do it.

Get rid of Fudge, support Amelia Bones or someone else to take over, and put the Ministry of Magic back on track.
