Chapter 13 Transfiguration and Potions

After finishing the torturous History of Magic class, Ada finally had two days of peace.

On Wednesday night, Ada had an astronomy class, which required using a telescope to observe the stars. When Ada and the others climbed up the astronomy tower panting, Professor Sinistra was already waiting there.

Under the guidance of Professor Sinistra, the young wizards learned the names of different stars and the orbits of the planets. When Snape called her name and looked up at her, Ada instinctively felt that something was wrong. Now the problem had indeed come. But Ada didn't understand when and where she had offended Snape, and why did he choose her when there were so many Gryffindors?
"The fecal stones in the goat's stomach have a detoxifying effect, Professor," Ada replied.

"As expected of Miss Know-It-All," Snape said, but his tone was somewhat sarcastic. The Slytherin students laughed loudly, while the little lions silently prayed to Merlin, hoping that he could bless Ada.

"So what ingredients do you need to make a potion to treat scabies?" Snape asked.

"Dried nettles, crushed snake fangs, boiled slugs with tentacles, and porcupine quills." Ada's tone became much stiffer.

"It seems you have prepared well," Snape said. "Narcissus root powder, add wormwood liquid..."

"Water of Life and Death, a very powerful sleeping pill! Professor!" Ada interrupted Snape's question and answered first. She was very upset now. Snape asked questions again and again, and his annoying tone made Ada unable to bear it any longer!
Snape ignored the furious Ada and said calmly, "You answered the question quickly and talked back to the teacher. Because of you, Drizzt, Gryffindor will be deducted five points."

Ada stood up immediately, intending to confront Snape. She really couldn't stand this grievance! At most, she would be put in detention. This was Hogwarts. How could Snape kill her?
Snape raised a finger and pointed downward, indicating that Ada had better sit down quickly. Then he ignored Ada and turned back to the podium.
