Chapter 49 Arrival in Iceland and New Guests
After two days of sailing at sea, the ship finally arrived at Reydjavik, Iceland's largest port and capital.

Standing on the deck, Ryan found that the city was between the mountains and the sea, and their ship was heading east into the port of Redjavik. It was morning, and the rising sun reflected the mountains near the city into a gorgeous purple.

The biggest impression of this place is the blue sky. After all, there is no industry here, and even the whole city is heated by environmentally friendly geothermal heating. Because the city is located in an area with abundant geothermal resources, the city even got its name from this. "Reykjavik" means "smoking city" in Icelandic.

After getting off the ship, Ryan and his family went straight to the hotel they had booked in advance to rest. Although Iceland has its own language, due to the long-term presence of American troops, Icelanders have a good level of English and there is no difficulty in communication.

After arriving at the hotel and dropping off their luggage, Mr. Lambert and his friends decided to take a break. Ryan asked Mr. Lambert for permission to go to the wizard commercial street. In view of the good security environment in Iceland in the early 150s, the size of Redjavik, and the fact that Ryan was already a wizard, Mr. Lambert agreed to let Ryan go out alone and gave him the equivalent of 12 Icelandic krona. He only asked him to come back before noon.

After Ryan agreed, he left the hotel and took a taxi to the city center, and arrived in a short while. After all, this is just a small city with a population of about 10, and the urban area is not large.

According to the guide map and introduction of the Seven Stars Hotel, Ryan found the entrance to the wizard business district: a five-story building with the Aurora Hotel sign hanging on it. Guests came in and out here.

Ryan turned to the side of the inn, where there was a decorative panel with a Viking longship carved on it. He pulled out his wand and struck the third shield from the left on the carved longship five times, and a brick-carved archway emerged next to the carving.

Just as Ryan was about to go in, a message suddenly came from the system that a new customer had entered the Wanjie Grocery Store.

He had no choice but to run a few steps forward, turn the corner and come to an empty alley. After looking around to make sure it was safe, he chose to enter the grocery store.

After entering the grocery store, Ryan first went to check the dragon grass on the table. This dragon grass was different from the ordinary dragon grass. The dragon head that originally grew on the top of the plant disappeared, and a red fruit the size of a football grew in its place.

This is a new plant that Ryan cultivated after the summer vacation. After mastering Crazy Dave's technology, Ryan used the dragon grass as the raw material, and used the eggshell fragments, scales, blood and fangs of Norbert that he had collected before (thanks to Ron's fingers for their contribution), as well as the vines of the devil vine that he got during the final level, to cultivate this new plant.

Because there are too many magical ingredients in it, which Dave had never encountered when cultivating plants, he could not learn from them. So Ryan was groping in many places, and only the few words he asked from Professor Sprout could be used as a reference. There are too many places in it that require luck. Fortunately, Ryan was lucky, and this plant successfully grew up. Later, it depends on what will grow after the seeds in this fruit mature.

After observing the plants, Ryan asked the store to let the new customer in. Following the sound of footsteps, the customer walked into the grocery store, and Ryan looked at the customer and uttered a surprised exclamation.

Because this time there were not one but two guests.

The man walking in front looked to be in his 30s or 40s, wearing a suit from the Age of Exploration that Ryan had seen in many European period films. However, his face looked a little weathered, and it was obvious that he had suffered a lot in the past. When he saw Ryan, he bent down slightly and took a defensive posture to protect the people behind him.

The person behind him was a woman wearing a blue dress and looked about 11 or 12 years old, about the same age as Ryan. "Sir, relax. I have no ill will towards you." Ryan said, "This is the Wanjie Grocery Store. I am the owner, Ryan. Every customer who comes here is here to solve their biggest problem. So can you tell me about the problem you are facing? I might be able to help you."

Maybe the man saw clearly that the person sitting opposite the counter was just a child and did not look dangerous, so he relaxed.

Then he and the girl sat on the floor, watching in surprise as Ryan came out from behind the counter, took out a large tablecloth from a small bag, and then took out a bottle of whiskey (from the storage room at home, probably forgotten by his father), a bucket of juice and three cups. (Ryan always felt that since he had a space bag, he had to fill it up, so he stuffed a lot of miscellaneous things in it.)
After watching the glass of whiskey in his hand being filled by Ryan, the middle-aged man took a sip and began to tell his story, "My name is Edward, Edward Kenway. I used to be a captain. Now I am retired and ready to raise my daughter."

He pointed to his daughter who was sitting quietly beside him drinking juice and said, "This is my daughter, Jennifer Scott. I neglected them in order to make money. Now I just hope to raise my daughter quietly."

Ryan couldn't find the name in his memory, but thinking about the fact that there were so many worlds, it was normal that he didn't know some of them. So he smiled with relief and looked at the girl who was about the same age as him.

Noticing that Ryan was looking at her, the girl leaned towards her father. Ryan turned to Kenway and said, "She seems a little bad at communicating with people."

"Yes," Kenway replied, "Because I offended a lot of people when I was captain, so I want to avoid letting others know where we live. She may not have enough contact with others."

"So what you need now is..."

"A completely unfamiliar place, a place where no one can find us, a place where I can raise my daughter well." Kenway said to Ryan.

"Can you tell me more about your world? That way I can tell you what kind of world would suit your needs." Ryan said. "You should be able to tell me that you and I are not from the same world, so you don't have to worry about me telling your secrets to anyone you know."

To prove this, Ryan took out his wand, cast a fluorescent flash, and a stream of clear water appeared from the tip of the wand.

"As you can see, I am a wizard. There shouldn't be anyone like me in your world, right?"

"Well, you are a bit like the Precursors of our world, but you should be completely different," Kenway replied.

"Precursor?" Ryan said he didn't quite understand the English word.
