Chapter 32 New Skills and Christmas
DeFoe was startled by Ryan's sudden surprise.

Before Defu could react, Ryan took out a large bottle of sunlight crystals from behind.

"This is solar crystal. Soak one in water and your dugout will be as warm as under the sun in the summer for half an hour. There are 300 crystals in this bottle, which is enough for you to survive the whole winter."

Ryan then took out a chestnut-sized gold ingot and said, "This is one pound of gold. It's spring now, and you can reopen your clinic."

"However," Ryan said, "I have a rule here that requires equal exchange. What can you give me in exchange for these?"

De Fu said, "As long as you are willing to help me, I will give you these 100 pounds."

Ryan shook his head, not knowing whether to laugh or cry: "I don't want any living people here."

"Well, then I have nothing else." De Fu squatted down dejectedly.

"Your master is a miracle doctor, and his medical skills should be quite good. Are you willing to exchange the medical skills you have learned?" Ryan asked.

"Of course I am willing, but how can I give it to you?" De Fu looked puzzled.

"As long as you're willing." Ryan waved his hand, and a white mist floated out from Defu's temple, flew to the shelf and turned into a blue-covered thread-bound book.

"Okay, we're even now." After saying that, Ryan handed the sunlight crystal and gold ingot to Defu, and then Defu walked out the door with a confused look on his face.

Defu thought he was dreaming when he returned to the yard, but when he looked down, he saw the bottle full of sunlight crystals and gold in his hands. He immediately ran into the shack excitedly: "Master, I met a god, we can survive this winter."

Ryan heard the system prompt in the grocery store:
——Slightly change the fate of the Child of the Plane and gain 1 offset point.

Well, no matter how small a mosquito is, it’s still meat.

After comforting himself, Ryan looked at the new book. The blue cover read "Elementary Chinese Medicine Handbook, Defu Edition". According to the system prompt, it takes 2 points of deviation to learn this.

Although Defu's medical skills were only average, they were still at the level of a chief physician today. In addition, Ryan considered that he might go to some worlds with ancient Chinese backgrounds in the future, so it was necessary to master the knowledge of acupuncture points and meridians, otherwise he might not be able to understand the secret manual.

So Ryan finally chose to study this Chinese medicine manual. After consuming 2 offset points, countless information began to flow into his mind.

After 15 minutes, the knowledge infusion was over, and Ryan felt that he had mastered a lot of Chinese medicine knowledge, but if he wanted to become a real Chinese medicine practitioner, he still needed practice.

Ryan felt that this would be difficult to practice in reality. After all, no one believed that an 11-year-old child could treat a disease.

After paying a lot of money to get a skill that he might not be able to use for the time being, Ryan returned to the real world after secretly sighing that he had suffered a bit of a loss.

……

Christmas Eve is coming soon. This day is an important shopping time for the British. There are big discounts in various stores. Ryan's adoptive parents naturally went to Regent Street to buy things as in previous years. Ryan went to Diagon Alley to prepare some gifts for his friends. Diagon Alley was also in a festive atmosphere. Every store was decorated with Christmas decorations, and various Christmas celebration songs came from the streets.

After buying all the gifts and mailing them to friends via the Owl Post, Ryan dove into second-hand shops to hunt through piles of old books.

After spending more than an hour, Ryan bought two books. One was "1893 Common Magic Potion Making", an old book published in 15. It contained many magic potions Ryan had never seen in textbooks, such as quick hair dye potion, and modified versions of aging potion and aging potion (the making method was simpler, the required medicinal materials were cheaper, but the time could only last minutes.)
There was also a book that was obviously a Defense Against the Dark Arts class note book left by an excellent student. At least Ryan felt that with some of the notes in it, he could try to learn the Stunning Spell by himself.

On Christmas Eve, Ryan went to bed early because Christmas Day was the most fun day, when he would receive Christmas presents and have a big meal at noon.

The next morning, Ryan found that he had received a bunch of gifts. There was a new set of clothes from his parents, a sandalwood bracelet mailed from the East by his grandfather, and some gifts from his classmates. For example, Hermione gave him a set of brand new quills (was this a hint that he didn't write enough?), a box of assorted candies from Harry, and a box of spiced black tea with a calming effect from Longbottom. (This should have been prepared by his grandmother.)
What surprised him most was that Professor Sprout actually copied a copy of her herbology notes from her student days and gave it to Ryan, hoping that he would be able to achieve success in herbology in the future.

Fortunately, Ryan mailed a box of chocolates to each professor out of courtesy, otherwise it would have been very embarrassing.

At noon, Ryan had a Christmas dinner consisting of roast goose (Mr. Lambert, a Chinese, thought turkey meat was too coarse and not tasty, so Mrs. Sally chose the more traditional roast goose), pudding and various dishes. At the same time, he was wondering what Christmas in Hogwarts was like?

……

Unlike the small family gatherings at the Ryan family that emphasized warmth, Christmas at Hogwarts was very grand. Harry, who spent the best Christmas of his life at school, had a deep understanding of this.

The hall was decorated beautifully, with holly and mistletoe hanging from the walls, and twelve towering Christmas trees standing in various places, some with tiny icicles and others with hundreds of candles flickering.

When Harry woke up on Christmas morning, the first thing he saw was a small pile of packages at the foot of his bed. He was a little shocked because he had not expected to receive any presents.

After wishing each other a happy holiday, he began to unwrap the gift package. Ron next to him exclaimed, "Oh my god, it's a card from Portolmey. Ryan is so lucky. I've never seen him eat chocolate frogs before."

Harry also found the gift Ryan gave him, which was a pair of exquisite flying broom pruning shears. "Yeah, Ryan always thinks more carefully. I feel like an uncle sometimes."

Finally, when Harry unwrapped the bottom package, something liquid, silvery-grey, slid to the floor in a shiny heap, and Ron gasped.

Later, Ron, who was surprised, told Harry that this was a very valuable invisibility cloak. When Harry tried it on, he found a note inside, which was written in a handwriting he had never seen before:

Your father left this to me before he died.

It should be returned to you now.

Use it well.

I sincerely wish you a merry Christmas.

Afterwards, at the invitation of the Weasley twins, Harry wore a sweater knitted by Mrs. Weasley to attend the Christmas dinner with at least a hundred roast turkeys and a large amount of roast potatoes.
