Hogwarts Raven's Claw

Chapter 73 Quidditch School Team Selection

Chapter 73 Quidditch School Team Selection (Part )

The poor male student union president was besieged for a full half hour. By the time the Gryffindor students received the message and prepared to rescue their student union president, the female student union president had already left with her group of girlfriends.

The Slytherin students arrived faster than the Gryffindor students. They were there laughing loudly at the poor male student president. For the Slytherin students, the happiest thing was to see Gryffindor in trouble.

When the Gryffindor students arrived at the scene in a rage, this was the scene that appeared before them.

The male student union president collapsed in the corner, staring at the ceiling with lifeless eyes, tears in his eyes. His clothes were in a mess, and his collar had been torn open. The worst thing was that there were several black footprints on his vital parts. No one knew which tough senior student had done that.

The Slytherin students once again surrounded the male student union president from Gryffindor with a grin on their faces, laughing at him wantonly. Some of the braver ones even went up and poked the male student union president with their fingers to see if he was dead.

The Slytherins' strong presence naturally aroused the Gryffindors' dissatisfaction, and the two groups soon pushed and shoved each other, and were about to fight.

Mike and Franklin stood not far away, watching the excitement with a smile on their faces. It was really interesting to sit on the mountain and watch the fight between two tigers.

Thanks to the unremitting efforts of the Gryffindors, the poor male student union president was finally saved. Several tall and strong senior students took advantage of their size to squeeze into the crowd and carried him out.

This time the Slytherin students were also unhappy, and some of the hot-tempered ones even took out their wands.

Mike and Franklin were not the only ones watching the fight. Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw students had also gathered near Mike. Seeing that an ordinary dispute was about to turn into a magical brawl, everyone was extremely excited.

However, there was a sudden explosion in the crowd opposite, and as a cloud of blue-gray smoke rose, the Gryffindor and Slytherin students screamed and ran away in all directions.

Mike and the others thought someone had cast a powerful spell and were so excited that they couldn't help themselves. But the blue-gray smoke soon drifted near them, and a very foul smell spread throughout the auditorium. It was a dung bomb.

Mike and Franklin had no choice but to leave this troubled place with their noses covered. It was obvious that the Weasley brothers were the only ones who would use such a wicked thing as a dung bomb.

After finally returning to the Ravenclaw common room, Mike and Franklin breathed a sigh of relief. They didn't know how many dung eggs the Weasley brothers had used, but the disgusting stench not only filled the entire hall, but also polluted a large area near the hall.

The two were breathing heavily when a young man wearing Quidditch protective gear came towards them. Mike knew this man, Roger Davis, a sports star of Ravenclaw and the captain of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team.

"Mike? I've been looking for you for a long time. Dean Flitwick recommended you to our Ravenclaw Quidditch team. We have an open interview today. Let's go." Roger sniffed a few times and said, "What's that smell on you? Why is it so smelly?"

Mike understood immediately. Professor Flitwick didn't give him the Nimbus 2001 for nothing. His purpose was to get him to join the school Quidditch team. He smiled bitterly but didn't refuse. He said:

"Okay, I'll use my own broom. You should have a broom for the test, right? My friend is going to take the test too." Roger looked at Franklin next to Mike with some doubt. He didn't know Franklin. In fact, if Professor Flitwick hadn't called him, he wouldn't even know Mike. The Quidditch team had a lot of training, and as the captain, Roger had a lot of things to do, so he basically gave up all socializing.

"Hello, I'm Franklin Clinton." Franklin introduced himself to Roger in a dignified manner.

"Okay, let's hurry up, everyone else is waiting for us at the stadium." Roger said this and turned and walked out of the Ravenclaw lounge.

Mike gave Franklin a wry smile and followed him.

Mike actually doesn't like Quidditch at all. This ball game with so many loopholes in the rules is even more barbaric than American football, and it's not worth watching.

Often, the outcome of Quidditch depends entirely on the quality of the Seekers and the quality of their broomsticks. The difference in equipment between the top professional leagues is slightly smaller, but it is not the case for internal competitions at schools like Hogwarts. Just like Harry Potter in the original book, in his third year, he held a professional league-specific Firebolt to compete with other colleges' Seekers who were holding Nimbus series or even Sideswipe series broomsticks. Harry's flying speed was several times faster than others, so if he still lost, it would be strange.

Not to mention that there is a rule in Quidditch that the beater can hit the Bludger towards the opposing player, which leads to a very high probability of injury to Quidditch players. There is also a record of students dying in Quidditch games in Hogwarts history.

It was incredible that such a brutal competition was so popular among the vast majority of wizards around the world. In Mike's opinion, it was no different from the beast fights in ancient Rome, both were just as bloody and violent.

"Here we are."

Roger's voice interrupted Mike's wandering thoughts, and before they knew it, they had arrived at the Quidditch field.

The first few days of each school year are the time when each college's Quidditch team recruits members, so the Quidditch field is very lively today.

The stands, which were usually sparsely populated, were now packed with people. Not only senior students, but many freshmen came to the stadium to watch the fun. This showed the status of Quidditch in the minds of wizards.

"Listen, Mike. Since Professor Flitwick thinks highly of you, I believe in your ability. There is one starting position for a batsman in the Ravenclaw team, and it's reserved for you. You just need to go up and fly a few laps." Roger said in a voice that only the two of them could hear. "As for your friend, it's a pity that he can only be a substitute. We have plenty of substitutes, so just let him choose a position."

After saying that, Roger made an OK gesture to Mike.

Mike was confused. Did Professor Flitwick already designate him as a member of the team?
