Hogwarts Raven's Claw

Chapter 12: Different Fire Curse

Chapter 12 A Different Fire Spell

After saying goodbye to Harry and the others, Mike headed for the Transfiguration classroom. The only class in the afternoon was Transfiguration, and Professor McGonagall was not a professor who liked students to be late.

Mike's talent in transfiguration magic is obviously not as outstanding as that in spells, or in other words, Mike is not very interested in transfiguration magic.

Compared to other offensive spells, Transfiguration magic is too complicated.

After Mike came into contact with the magic of transformation, he found that it was very difficult to cast the spell successfully. It required you to have a very clear understanding of the composition of matter. In other words, if you want to learn the magic of transformation well, you need to master a wealth of knowledge of physics and chemistry.

This was really difficult for Mike. He had no knowledge of these two subjects in his past life or this life. The only thing he had studied was chemistry, which was taught by his master when he was a "chef". He could cope with the Potions class, but he knew nothing about the composition of matter.

But this does not mean that Mike's Transfiguration grades are bad. On the contrary, Mike's Transfiguration grades are better than most freshmen.

Don't know much about physical chemistry? It doesn't matter. There are many wizards who have not learned physical chemistry. Wizards have their own way to understand the composition of matter.

After the Transfiguration class, Mike got up and returned to the Ravenclaw Common Room to continue studying emotion casting techniques. He was very satisfied with the petrification spell he had cast in the restaurant. It was the strongest petrification spell he had cast since he learned it.

The emotional casting technique has a very obvious amplifying effect on spells, which can be most intuitively reflected in the fluorescent flashes.

If the light released by Mike's Lumos is equivalent to the flashlight of a mobile phone, then the Lumos after using the emotional casting technique and using full strength is like a high-intensity flashlight, the light emitted is both bright and has strong penetrating power.

Emotional spellcasting is actually not a very advanced skill. Most wizards will discover this skill in the process of learning magic.

The reason why Mike's seniors didn't tell him before was not because they didn't master the technique, but because they didn't understand the essence of this casting technique.

In their view, they just strongly hope that the spell will succeed when they cast the spell, so they succeed in casting the spell, and the magic effect is also very good.

From this point of view, Professor Flitwick is worthy of being an expert in spells. He used the most understandable language to make Mike understand the principles of this technique.

Time passed quickly, and soon it was time for Mike to go to Flitwick for detention.

Mike was a little confused about Professor Flitwick's words about teaching him the Fire Curse. As far as he knew, the Fire Curse was not a very advanced magic and its power was not very strong.

But he didn't think too much about it. His most urgent task was to continue trying to please Professor Flitwick.

The head of Ravenclaw is a man whose fighting ability is comparable to that of Snape. Although his performance in the original book is not outstanding and he is often the source of jokes among the professors, the title of duel champion is no joke.

And judging from the professor's very different appearance from ordinary people, he has experienced no less discrimination than Muggle-born wizards. Flitwick must have a sense of sympathy for himself.

When Mike walked into the office, Flitwick was sitting on a specially made high chair reading today's Daily Prophet. There was a ladder-like structure between the legs of the chair to make it convenient for Professor Flitwick to climb up.

"Mike, you're here. Please sit down. My black tea is very good. Would you like to try it?" Flitwick greeted Mike warmly.

After seeing Mike nod, Flitwick raised his hand and waved gently, and the teapot and teacup flew over automatically and poured a cup of steaming hot black tea for Mike.

After the two of them drank tea and exchanged pleasantries for a while, Flitwick began to talk about the main topic of the night: the Fire Spell. Mike had already learned about the Fire Spell before, and it was not difficult to cast this magic. Mike successfully cast it after trying it a few times, but the power was very impressive. The Fire Spell that Mike cast could only light a cigarette at best.

After Mike showed Flitwick his Fire Spell, Flitwick did not dislike Mike. Instead, he praised Mike. After all, as a Muggle-born wizard, it was very good for Mike to master such magic, and it was not his fault that he used the Fire Spell like this.

"The Fire Spell is a simple and practical magic. Don't underestimate it, Mac." Flitwick paused. "The Fire Spell is a very flexible magic. It can be released in different forms according to the caster's wishes."

Professor Flitwick said as he waved his wand. "Flames."

An eagle made of flames flew out from Professor Flitwick's wand. Every feather of the eagle was vivid, just like a fire elf. It was flying in the not-so-big office, flexibly avoiding every obstacle, and finally disappeared in front of Mike.

Mike was stunned. He never expected that magic could be used in this way.

Before this, his understanding of magic was: the magic wand was like a pistol, the magic spell was the bullet, and releasing magic was like firing a bullet from a pistol. The power of the magic depended entirely on the magic power of the caster.

But Flitwick's move opened the door to a new world for him. It turned out that magic could be used in this way! It turned out that the fired bullets could turn?
"To do this requires extremely advanced magical control, which is still too far for you. Moreover, this is not practical and too fancy." Flitwick was very proud of Mike's country bumpkin look, "Come on, let me show you something practical."

After saying that, Flitwick took Mike to the bookshelf in the corner. With a wave of his wand, the bookshelf opened automatically, revealing the room inside.

This is a spacious spell training room. The walls are all made of high-grade alchemical materials and are engraved with special protective runes in ancient magic to ensure that magic cannot cause damage to them.

There are several dummies standing at the end of the room. These dummies are not simple either. They are all made by alchemists and have unique alchemical spells attached to them, so that magic like Tarantella dance that is effective on living people can also be effective on these dummies.

Professor Flitwick entered the room without saying anything. He pointed the wand in his hand forward, and a deep purple flame gushed out from the tip of the wand and sprayed directly onto the dummy in the distance.

The temperature of these flames was so high that the air near the flames was burned and distorted. Although the dummy was made of alchemical materials and had strong resistance to high temperatures, it began to melt almost instantly under the scorching purple flames and was burned to ashes in just a few seconds.

Flitwick glanced at the stunned Mike and smirked.

He stretched out the magic wand and pointed again, and the purple flame appeared again, but this time it was a ball of flame and kept flying out from the tip of the wand one after another.

These purple fireballs were flying at extremely fast speeds, and some of them were moving irregularly in the air. Eventually, these fireballs landed accurately on the dummy, causing a violent explosion.

By the time the explosion was over, the dummy had long disappeared, leaving only a charred area where it had been.

Mike's eyes lit up, he didn't expect the fire spell to be so powerful that it could even be used as a fireball.

Judging from the spell that Flitwick just cast, this is clearly a fireball machine gun!

"Magic spells are flexible, Mac." Flitwick interrupted Mac who was in a daze. "Most of the spells you are learning now have been simplified. Although these simplifications make your learning easier, they also make the spells you cast become dull and weak."

"Meditate and feel the flow of magic when you cast a spell. Once you have clearly felt the flow of magic, try to control it, let it accept you, and become your hands and feet..."
