Chapter 7 Reversing the Future (Part 2)

"Tingting!" Gu Haitao was frantic with worry when he saw this.

When I tried to put my arm around the girl, I couldn't find anything suitable, so I gritted my teeth and simply shoved my hand between her teeth.

Li Ping examined him and saw that he was also sweating profusely. While performing first aid, he said:

"It's epilepsy, a serious condition! Call an ambulance immediately!"

Until the ambulance sped away, when I looked back, Meng Chao, Li Ping, and I were completely soaked, as if we had been drenched in water.

After breathing heavily for a while, Li Ping gestured for us to go into the cold drink shop next door.

He was the oldest and most composed of the three, insisting that drinking iced beverages would arouse his inner fire, and he made Meng Chao and me order room temperature drinks.

After I cooled down, Meng Chao was the first to ask me, "Tell me, what happened? How did you know Gu Haitao's sister had an epileptic seizure? Don't tell me you dreamed about it."

Seeing that Li Ping was also looking at me with a questioning look, I smiled wryly: "Brother Ping, Mengniu, we're all family here. If I... if I said it really was a dream, you wouldn't think I'm crazy, would you?"

Li Ping took off his glasses, wiped the lenses, and glanced at me sideways: "It's not that serious. Actually, besides being a brain response, dreams have also served as warning signs throughout history. Li Ping put on his glasses and shook his head. "I picked it up from my dad's pocket, and he found out. Apparently, he had a dream the night before that I brought a new computer back from outside."

I listened intently for a long time before realizing he was talking nonsense, and I couldn't help but smile wryly again.

Meng Chao punched him on the shoulder and then asked me how I knew Gu Haitao's sister was in trouble.

The cold drink shop had just opened, and the girl running it was busy in the back. Seeing that no one else was around, I turned to Liping, chuckled twice, and asked:

"Brother Ping, has the school already decided to punish me? Suspend me from school?! Unless the police can provide proof that I'm not the murderer?"

Meng Chao's eyes widened immediately. "What? A murderer? Hey, tell me what happened!"

Li Ping, being mature and composed, took a sip of his drink and patted my shoulder. "You're quite well-informed. But, this isn't a huge deal. After all, it involves a life, so the school has to be mindful of the impact, right? If this matter isn't resolved by the end of the day, how can the other teachers and students work and study normally with you on campus?"

I gave a wry smile: "Yes, it's very well thought out."

I checked the time on my phone. "So in ten minutes, the head of discipline will call me and tell me to pack my bags and get out!"

Li Ping was somewhat surprised, but still comforted me, saying that it wasn't a big deal and that I could come back once the investigation results were confirmed.

I couldn't listen to any of that advice, but at least I saved a life, which made me feel a little better.

Seeing that they both genuinely cared about me, I didn't hesitate and told them about my experiences over the past few days.

Upon hearing this, the two of them were stunned for a moment, then looked at me with the same eyes they would give an idiot.

Just then, my phone, which was on the table, suddenly vibrated.

Upon seeing the displayed landline number, Meng Chao didn't react much, but Li Ping suddenly stood up. "It's the Academic Affairs Office!"

I didn't answer the phone directly, but cleared my throat and said:

"Sanqi, you're a good student and a smart kid. You probably already guessed why I called you..."

I gave a very serious speech, then answered the phone and put it on speakerphone. A pretentious voice came through the speakerphone: "Sanqi, you're a good student, and a smart kid..."

After the phone call ended, Li Ping and Meng Chao slowly woke up and started jumping up and down, their only line being "Holy crap!"

The two only calmed down and sat down awkwardly after the shop assistant came out from behind with a fruit knife.

Li Ping asked, "Brother, are you and Director Ding teaming up to mess with me?"

Meng Chao stared at him with wide, bull-like eyes and asked, "Twenty-one, did you really dream about it? Do you really have the ability to foresee the future?"

Twenty-one was the nickname he gave me, just like I call him "Mengniu" (a brand of dairy products).

I had no concern about revealing the 'secret' because, in my view, nothing was more serious than being punished by the school.

I told the two of them that I had dreamt about some things, but the situation in the dream was different from reality.

For example, I dreamed that Gu Haitao's sister had an epileptic seizure.

I really didn't know she was having an epileptic seizure. In my dream, I only saw her mouth full of blood. In the end, amidst the cries of her parents and Gu Haitao, she was zipped up, packed up, and carried onto an ambulance.

"You even dreamed about his parents coming?" Both of them found it unbelievable.

I nodded. "One was a balding man who looked old; the other was a middle-aged woman with glasses thicker than bottle bottoms. They... they said they were going out for a stroll to buy some daily necessities for Gu Haitao."

Before he could finish speaking, Meng Chao had already taken out his phone.

Li Ping snatched it away, "Don't do anything reckless! You want to call Gu Haitao and ask if his father is balding? Even if you confirm it, what good will it do? Wouldn't that expose Sanqi's secret of being able to predict the future?"

"That's right, this huge secret can't be revealed to anyone!"

Meng Chao shook his head, exchanged a glance with Li Ping, and then the two of them suddenly put their arms around my shoulders, one on each side.

Li Ping took a deep breath, nodded vigorously at me, and said, "Brother, from now on we're brothers!"

Meng Chao nodded vigorously: "I don't ask to be born in the same month of the same year, but I ask to die in the same month of the same year. Oh, no, I mean to share life and death, and to share wealth and honor!"

I was completely bewildered until Meng Chao blurted out the secret, and then I understood what was going on.

My phone vibrated again, and I saw it was an unfamiliar number. For some reason, my heart started pounding.

I answered the phone and put it on speakerphone. The other person seemed to hesitate for a moment before a deep voice came through: "It's me, Gao He."
