"Brother, why did we have to climb this damn Mount Taixu? Dad didn't tell us, and neither did your mothers... Hey? Siqing, did your mother tell you?"

Xu Siqing stopped at the highest point—beside her older sister, Xu Siqi. She shook her head, her expression indifferent, and her voice sounded rather cold.

She said, "My mother didn't tell me any of this."

"Huh? How could this be... Even Fu Hua's mother isn't talking about it..."

"Alright, Xiao Zhe!"

Xu Siqi rushed up behind the boy, full of energy.

Xu Siqing, who had finally managed to climb to the same spot next to her, seemed to subconsciously reach out her hand as the girl moved, wanting to grab her.

But Xu Siqi was just too fast.

She pushed Xu Sizhe upwards, her face full of smiles.

Seeing this, Xu Sining shook her head, smiled helplessly, and followed.

"Let's go! Last year, my mom and I came to climb the mountain, but even she couldn't make it to the top!"

"Huh?! Even Mei's mom didn't make it up?! What are we even trying to do? Let's just hurry home..."

Xu Siqi clenched her fist and grinned.

"No way! If you dare go back, I'll break your legs!"

"Waaaaah! Even my mom has never hit me..."

Xu Sining burst out laughing!

Seeing that the group was starting to climb the mountain again, especially after Xu Siqi started going up, Xiao Siqing followed without saying a word.

On the way up the mountain, Xu Sining noticed that Siqing's sweat was almost dripping into her eyes, so she took out a handkerchief from her backpack and wiped the girl's sweat.

"Um... thank you, Brother Ning."

Xu Sining has a warm and sunny smile.

"What are you thanking me for? Let's go. If we're any slower, we won't be able to catch up with Sister Siqi."

Xu Siqing's cheeks suddenly turned a little red.

I don't know if it's because of the sport of mountain climbing, or because of what Xu Sining just said.

He turned his head away, and said with a hint of reproach, "I...I didn't mean to pursue Sister Siqi..."

"Okay, okay, okay~~"

Xu Sining smiled and extended her hand, saying, "I want to pursue Sister Siqi, so Qing'er, can you hold my hand and lend me some strength?"

Xu Siqing was taken aback, lowered her head, and hid the smile on her lips.

She handed her hand to Xu Sining, feigning indifference.

“Since Brother Ning has said so, then Qing’er will naturally help.”

Over there, Xu Siqi pushed her younger brother for a while, then stopped.

She quickly climbed to the front of the group and continued to act as a navigator.

Xu Sizhe kept saying, "Ah... I'm not climbing anymore... I'm going to die... I'm sending it..."

But my body was still honestly climbing the mountain.

I remember my dad saying that this kind of person is the type who likes to say one thing and mean another, and is mostly the kind of person who secretly schemes against others!

Hmph! My dear brother, what a pity, I've seen through your scheme!

……

At this very moment, on a side peak of Mount Taixu, Xu Qi was holding his phone, watching the movements of several children as they climbed the mountain.

A miniature Klein was always lurking beside them, providing Xu Qi with a live broadcast throughout the entire process.

Mei stepped forward, and gently hugged Xu Qi from behind, welcoming the breeze. She smiled and said, "Watching the kids again? The sisters have already set up the barbecue stall, aren't you going?"

"Let them go crazy, but remind Himeko that she is pregnant and shouldn't drink alcohol."

"We're celebrating Professor Möbius's successful delivery. If you don't come along... I might not be able to help you tonight, okay?"

Xu Qi's face turned pale, and he shivered.

He gave an awkward smile and said, "Well... I'll go over later."

Mei leaned closer and saw that Xu Qi was still staring intently at his phone. She couldn't help but chuckle and said, "You... you've become addicted to watching the kids?"

"You're really making things difficult for them, saying you want them to start climbing Mount Taixu when they're ten years old... Is that even a child capable of climbing? I can't even reach the top."

Xu Qi then said with a proud expression.

“Just because you can’t climb up doesn’t mean your child can’t. Look at Siqi! How amazing she is! She’s always at the very front.”

Seeing that Xu Qi couldn't suppress his smile, Mei couldn't help but roll her eyes.

For some reason, she felt jealous when her husband praised her daughter so highly.

She was secretly thinking about which girlfriends she should invite tonight to give her husband a good talking-to.

"Haha! This Si Ning has the same style as me when I was young."

Mei, out of curiosity, leaned closer and overheard Si Ning and Si Qing's conversation.

She rolled her eyes at Xu Qi and said, "He's so young and he's already learned how to use sweet talk. I wonder how many girls he'll ruin when he's out in society."

"That's my son too!"

……

Of course, children can't hear what adults are saying.

They were still huffing and puffing as they climbed the mountain.

As Xu Siqi climbed, she said, "Don't underestimate this mountain just because it's not high. I've heard from Fairy Mother that every step here contains some kind of magical power."

"Without a strong will, you can't climb to the top!"

By this point, even Xu Sining was feeling the strain. He couldn't help but ask curiously, "But even Mei's mother couldn't climb up there. How strong of a will must that take?"

"Hmm... Dad once told me secretly that my mom couldn't climb up because she got married and became lazy, so she lost her willpower."

Climbing Mount Taixu is both difficult and easy; as long as you have the will to uphold your lifelong belief, you can easily climb it!

On Xu Qi's side, Mei looked at Xu Qi with a smile.

"I was so exhausted from what you did that morning that I couldn't even get up, and you're making up stories about me behind my back..."

"Uh!... Cough! This Siqi, she's gone astray!"

……

"Then... then what is... a belief that lasts a lifetime?" Xu Sizhe was so tired he could hardly breathe, but he still asked the question.

Xiao Siqi proudly puffed out her chest.

"That's a question only I know the answer to! As my dad always says, 'The path a person chooses to take is up to them!'"

Xu Qi was so moved he almost cried.

“However… a belief that lasts a lifetime, that’s a really heavy topic,” Xu Sining said with a sigh. “I find it a little hard to imagine.”

Xu Siqing nodded silently. Clearly, this rational girl agreed with Xu Sining's words.

As a result, Xu Siqi chuckled a few times.

"My silly little brother!~~"

Xu Sining covered her face, not wanting to know her.

"Why should we need to think about all this?" Xu Siqi stood with her hands on her hips in front of the three children, at the very top of them, and said with a proud expression.

"For us, isn't the only meaning of climbing this mountain path to see scenery that we have never seen before?"

Although I've said so much, I think it's all just my dad's theory, his lifelong beliefs. To me, that's bullshit!

My purpose in climbing this mountain, Xu Siqi, is only one!

Xu Siqi raised her index finger to the sky, her face beaming with joy.

"That is to follow the path that my mother never finished walking, all the way up! To witness the scenery that neither I nor my mother ever got to see!"

I remember what this was called again? Hmm... there's a word for it..."

Xu Siqing said calmly, "Expansion."

“Yes!” Xu Siqi gave her sister a thumbs up.

"It's all about exploration! I, Xu Siqi, am determined to explore all the landscapes in this world that have never been seen before! No matter the wind or the sun! I'll explore for the rest of my life! Haha! Isn't that awesome!?"

……

Xu Sining lowered her head, then suddenly burst into laughter, her shoulders trembling.

"Huh? Little brother, what are you laughing at?"

"No...it's nothing." Xu Sining raised her head and followed her sister step by step, saying, "Pioneering? That sounds like a good word."

"Hmph! ~~ Right? What about you, Xiao Zhe?"

"I...don't know..." Xu Sizhe stuck out his tongue as he climbed step by step along the mountain path. "I just want to get to the top of the mountain as soon as possible and then rest for a bit..."

"And what about you, Ah Qing?"

Xu Siqing's face was slightly flushed. She looked up at her sister, and the sunlight overhead warmed her heart and soul.

"If that is my sister's ideal, then I will dedicate my life to realizing it."

"Huh?! It...it didn't have to come to this..."

"Alright, navigator." Xu Sining passed Xu Siqi, turned back to his sister and smiled, "Weren't you going to... explore the unseen scenery ahead?"

"Oh right... Ah! You little brat! You've gotten ahead again! This time I won't lose to you!"

(End of the book)

Author's Closing Remarks

To be honest, the author himself was a little dazed, not expecting that the book would be nearing its end so soon.

When I typed the words "The End" in the book, I felt a little reluctant to part with it, after all, this book had been with me for more than two years.

I didn't initially intend to write such a long story. In fact, at the very beginning, I even considered having Mei as the main heroine. However, I eventually followed my true nature and created a harem (laughs).

Actually, there are still some characters whose stories haven't been told, such as Gretchen.

However, I still feel that the main text of the book should end here. There's no need to continue writing, since Xu Qi's story has already ended. Further developments can be placed in the epilogue.

My emotions are churning, and I don't know what to say. After all, I've never written such a long novel before, let alone thought about putting a period to it.

Essentially, this is a slice-of-life story. I initially just wanted to write some romance scenes and create a fanfiction focused on love, maybe with some Gundam elements mixed in (laughs). I never imagined it would end up being over two million words long.

Some people like it, while others might turn away readers who are unaware of the facts, but... it doesn't matter.

Reading is like a two-way choice, and the process is a two-way journey between the reader and the author.

I am very grateful to the readers who have read this far and stayed with me until the end of this book. I am glad that you chose this book and you chose me.

I'll probably take a few days off before releasing my new book, and I hope everyone will support me.

That's it, thank you everyone, the end!

New book preview: Sending you to Star Iron is for pioneering, not for building a harem.

The new book will likely be released around July 1st. I'm rushing to finish the writing contest for Dimension Princess, and I hope it will go well. If all goes as planned, the title should be "Sending You to the Star Railway is for Expedition, Not for Building a Harem." Below is a preview of the first volume; you can treat it like a new anime PV.

The so-called fate originated from a book, from the joint creation of two people.

"So what if I want to write about Tina!?"

"The fireflies were faint, yet they still gave me a glimmer of light—even though it was fleeting, it brought me the only hope for survival in the face of death... I remember everything about Yiyi~~"

Even the smallest things are remembered; even the most insignificant people can shine like the sun.

"The engraving of the book has done me a favor..."

"You must remember that pioneering means following the path that no one has gone before, moving forward to witness the scenery that has never been before."

A single red bean bun is enough to leave a lasting impression.
