A moment's mistake can mean death!

Unlike Muichiro, who dared not be distracted at all, Akaza even had the leisure to chat with him...

"I wasn't so sure at first, but looking at your sword, you might have some connection with Lord Kokushibo."

Rain of iron fists clashed relentlessly against the sharp sword blade. Seeing Muichiro clench his teeth, Akaza chuckled amidst the constant attacks and self-repair...

"Then I think we should leave you with Lord Kokushibo. He should be getting rid of the rest of the demon slayers in the carriage by now."

Upon hearing this, Muichiro's eyes narrowed slightly. However, in that instant, he was kicked in the abdomen and sent flying several meters away before he managed to regain his footing and stop!

"No, I'll die if I get distracted." Akaza retracted his right leg and grinned happily...

27. Black Death Mou and Tanjiro

"Did you succeed, Mr. Muichiro?"

As Tanjiro was catching his breath, the seemingly endless stream of passengers rushing towards him suddenly stopped and collapsed to the ground.

Tanjiro naturally interpreted all of this as Muichiro's victory.

He was panting, recovering his strength, but to be honest, he hadn't actually expended much energy.

Despite fighting intensely for several tens of minutes, and despite performing almost the entire Hinokami Kagura dance, Tanjiro strangely didn't feel overly fatigued.

He knew the reason.

With slow breathing, a faint electric current flowed through his veins, passing through his lungs and heart, stimulating his muscles to contract more strongly, making his stamina more sustained.

What made Tanjiro's progress so exaggerated was the power "granted" to him by the White Boundless.

Driven by electricity, or rather, not yet to that extent. For Tanjiro, who has just awakened, he has only just crossed the threshold of a third-level figure and barely touched the edge of being driven by electricity.

Even so, one could say he is a very "talented" person.

Because this is not a world where magnetic fields rotate...

To master this skill so quickly in a world that doesn't belong to this power system speaks volumes about one's talent.

However, even with such talent and power, Tanjiro wouldn't be able to accomplish anything significant.

Because of his personality, he was destined to never become a "great man," possessing great power but lacking a broad mind.

Even after seeing Bai Wujie, such a negative example, he would instinctively try to suppress this power.

Suddenly, Tanjiro felt Nezuko wriggling inside the box on his back, and he immediately comforted her...

"It's alright, Nezuko, everything's been taken care of, you can rest easy now..."

Nezuko continued to move, even forcefully banging against the box, and Tanjiro, who had an extremely deep understanding of his sister, already felt a strong sense of crisis!

"Where did you learn the breathing technique you just used?"

A calm voice rang out less than five meters behind Tanjiro's head. There was no killing intent in the voice, but it was this calmness that made Tanjiro feel as if he had fallen into an ice cellar!

Someone who can so easily get within five meters of you without being detected could probably have their head taken off in an instant.

More importantly, Tanjiro could smell the strong demonic aura emanating from the "demon" behind him, and the unprecedented "scent" that was almost identical to that of Muzan Kibutsuji!

"Hinokami Kagura: Fourth Form Phantom Sunburst..."

Without any hesitation, Tanjiro immediately adjusted his heavy breathing and used the divine dance taught by his father. He twisted and spun his body at an extremely fast speed and instantly jumped to the other end of the carriage!

However, when he drew his sword and turned around, he saw no enemy in front of him.

But that voice, like a persistent, lingering ghost, still echoed in the back of his head.

"Hmph, although it's used very rigidly and the ability isn't very good, it is indeed the Breath of the Sun..."

Tanjiro's breathing became more rapid, and this time he slowly turned around, revealing the true face of the "attacker" who had made the sound behind him.

Those three pairs of eyes stared at him with a mixture of hatred, lament, and disdain. He wore an old-fashioned kimono, had a burn scar on his head similar to Tanjiro's, a high ponytail, and a sword tied to his left hip.

Kokushibo was indeed very curious as to why this unremarkable and seemingly untalented kid could actually use Yoriichi's Sun Breathing.

He had been there for some time and then hid in the shadows watching Tanjiro's actions... and Kokushibo could not possibly mistake the breathing technique swordsmanship he was performing.

That was his brother's sword.

Although it may only be a part of Yoriichi's swordsmanship... or even just a tiny, insignificant element of the swordsmanship he created, there is no doubt that this is the inheritance of the Breath of the Sun.

This inevitably pulled Kokushibo into his past memories.

The man he was destined to never surpass, like the blazing sun high in the sky, was his hated "monster" brother.

However, after these reflections, Kokushibo had no other emotions.

Although it is quite rare to see swordsmen who have inherited the Breath of the Sun in modern times, this is only true in modern times.

For Kokushibo, one of the conditions for his cooperation with Muzan was that he would eliminate the swordsmen who had inherited the Breath of the Sun in his place.

Since hundreds of years ago, Kokushibo has hunted down no fewer than ten swordsmen who have inherited the Breath of the Sun...

As for them, Kokushibo's evaluation was the same as his evaluation of everyone in the Demon Slayer Corps except for himself and his brother.

The Clown Who Doesn't Know Anything

Most of them couldn't even complete more than three moves of the sword dance, and most of them were ridiculous compared to the boy in front of them.

Yoriichi's swordsmanship was truly a hidden gem in their hands.

Kokushibo sighed, perhaps mocking himself, thinking that when he made such a remark, Yoriichi actually believed that there would be swordsmen in later generations who would surpass him.

But now look, who can surpass him? With these nonsensical things, these are things that he doesn't even consider "qualified"?

And so, Kokushibo made his move.

First Form: Dark Moon: Night Palace

A simple yet incredibly fast draw slash, while the surging sword energy forms countless crescent-shaped cutting energies at the same moment of the strike.

They'll die! If they don't do everything in their power to stop them, they'll definitely die!!

Tanjiro's spirit was issuing such a rapid warning, and his intense sense of crisis combined with his will to survive, resulting in an astonishing outcome in that instant.

Hinokami Kagura!

There was no particular model number, or more accurately, Tanjiro had to muster his slightly tired body...

Forced to unleash four different dance styles at once to counteract Kokushibo's sharp and terrifying cutting energy!

This is extremely difficult, or rather, it was something that Tanjiro in the past simply could not do!

Tanjiro's talent is not strong. He is far inferior to his father, who was able to complete the Kagura Dance in the snow even when he was sick. His body cannot withstand the extreme pressure that the Sun Breathing puts on the body.

For him, being able to perform a complete dance move in one go was once the limit, and perhaps he improved after practicing Concentration Breathing... but without a doubt, he was still nothing more than a speck of dust in front of Kokushibo.

But now, Tanjiro possesses a different kind of power, a power that arises from the emotional outburst during a life-or-death situation.

Electric Current Drive - Hinokami Kagura!

The talent that Bai Wujie activated out of boredom automatically triggered a powerful electric current within his body, coursing through his limbs and bones.

The power of his body was instantly unleashed, and at the same time, the burning-like markings on Tanjiro's head became even more conspicuous!

“Spots? No… your heart rate is not over 200.”

The four consecutive dance moves perfectly neutralized Tanjiro's sword strike, which was theoretically impossible for him to withstand, without even harming the unconscious crowd around him.

Kokushibo's attention was clearly not on that; he was simply looking with interest at the markings on Tanjiro's head and said softly...

"Kid, there's something you probably don't know: people who awaken their markings usually don't live past twenty-five. Besides... kid, yours isn't just markings, is it? Is there some kind of power hidden within it that I don't know about?"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

Tanjiro whispered, still shaken. Although he had activated the power of electricity in the face of death, he ultimately did not have true control over this power. Even with the power, he had no idea how to use it.

He could only fight using familiar methods as much as possible. Unable to truly apply the electric current to his moves, he could only use it to stimulate his body.

"It doesn't matter, but you are a pleasant surprise."

Kokushibo spoke softly, then slowly drew his sword.

It was only then that Tanjiro could clearly see his "sword"—a blade, hilt, and grip all covering his eyeball, as if it were a grotesque sword forged from flesh and blood.

But it was sharp enough that it easily tore open the top of the train with just a light slash.

Kokushibo was the first to jump up, and even without saying a word, his actions made his invitation clear – if we're going to fight, let's go somewhere spacious and have a good fight.

Tanjiro had no reason or right to refuse. He breathlessly put his sister down from his back and whispered...

"Nezuko, stay here and behave yourself. If I don't come back soon, run to the back of the carriage."

Tanjiro didn't know why Haku Mukai hadn't made a move yet... but he believed that this strongest and most brutal person he had ever seen wouldn't be defeated so easily.

Using someone who sees Nezuko as an experiment as a last resort is clearly not a wise choice... but Tanjiro has no one else he can entrust with this matter.

Taking a deep breath, Tanjiro raised his sword and jumped onto the carriage through the crack.

When he looked back, the sound of metal clashing against metal at the front of the carriage and the incredibly strong smell of Muzan told Tanjiro what Muichiro was doing.

"The train will arrive at the station in about ten minutes."

Kokushibo gazed at the brightly lit city in the distance and said calmly...

"If you can't hold on before then, I'll kill you. If you hold on, I'll make an exception and give you a chance to become a ghost."

"Remember my name, call me... Kokushibo."

"Nonsense! If you want to fight, then come on! Hinokami Kagura: Train!"

The only response to those words was a scorching slash...

Tokyo Asakusa

In a secluded dwelling hidden by Blood Demon Art, Tamayo, the demon who betrayed Muzan, was caught in a state of fear and ecstasy.

Just now, her assistant Yushiro saw what had happened on the train through the talisman of the invisible cat that was following Tanjiro.

Over the past century, he has rarely made a move, and whenever he does, he inevitably kills Upper Moon One and Upper Moon Three of the Pillars and goes to intercept the passengers on that train.

Tanjiro and Muichiro were locked in a fierce battle, or rather, it was a hellish place from which there was no return.

The strength of the top three Upper Moon demons is such that a single demon slayer cannot possibly defeat them.

Apart from Yoriichi Tsugikuni, demon slayers with the upper limit of human potential are no match for these monsters who have hundreds of years of lifespan and growth.

Tamayo was naturally terrified, because Tanjiro and Nezuko were key to whether she could create a drug that could turn demons back into humans!

Moreover, even from the perspective of a friend and elder, she absolutely did not want anything to happen to these unfortunate siblings.

As for the reason for the joy? It's because since Muzan has brought out almost all of the Upper Moons... it means that this guy probably really has no other means left.

The opportunity to destroy that demon was within reach, how could Tamayo, who had been tormented by hatred for hundreds of years, not feel joy!

"Lady Tamayo, I'm ready!"

Yushiro, having donned the eye charms, loudly proclaimed that his Blood Demon Art: Eye Concealment not only concealed his vision... but also created a charm that projected and shared the vision of both parties.

If the Blood Demon Art is further developed, even dialogue will become possible.

Of course, it would be much more efficient to use something called a "telephone"... but considering that Tamayo and Ubuyashiki both need to hide their residences, it's impossible to make use of such a thing.

The moment the Blood Demon Art was activated, veins bulged around Yushiro's eyes. Bearing such a long-distance call, not to mention the pressure on the other party, was no easy task for him.

About the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, Yushiro's voice came from Ubuyashiki Kagaya's weary voice.

"What's wrong, Miss Tamayo?"

"Now Upper Moon One and Upper Moon Three have gone to surround and kill Tanjiro and the others."

"What?! Are you sure?!"

Kagaya Ubuyashiki, who had just gotten out of bed, exclaimed in shock, while Tamayo nodded heavily...

"That dense demonic aura could only come from an Upper Moon demon. Anyway, are you in time to help Tanjiro and the others?"

The members of the Demon Slayer Corps are not permanently stationed at headquarters. In fact, most of the time even the Pillars are scattered in various cities and regions throughout the country, waiting to deal with the local demons.

Tamayo didn't know which Pillar was currently in charge of the Kikugaki area... but she knew that sending a single Pillar to provide support would only be suicide.

"impossible."

The words spoken by Yushiro, the Demon Slayer Corps leader, instantly plunged Tamayo's heart into an icy abyss.

“All the pillars are currently near Ebara County; there’s no way they can get here in time,” Ubuyashiki Kagaya said in a deep voice.
