Outside the corridor lies the wedding venue, the main hall of the Duke's mansion.

Inside the magnificent, brightly lit hall, elegantly dressed guests were enjoying the wedding banquet.

On stage was an orchestra invited from the Kingdom of Valencia, playing cheerful tunes on saxophones and cellos that filled the entire venue.

At the bride's main table, Mr. and Mrs. Haiwei raised their glasses and chatted with their old friends from the capital with tears in their eyes; at the groom's main table, the members of the Seven Stars Society competed with the guests who came to toast them, drinking round after round.

The two little demons, Achamonte and Lucyville, were eating and drinking heartily in a corner, wolfing down their food; while Augustus and Alina, as ambassadors of the temple, were performing holy light magic for the children watching.

Countess Eileen, the hunter Marilyn, and the awakened Femishire were drinking alone, the three strangers yet seemingly sharing the same melancholy, as if they had known each other for a long time; Empress Serendra of Aslan listened quietly to Princess Lilia of Loren complaining about the empire's politics; Agnes, the younger sister of the Boromeo family, sat at the table, rubbing her fingers with a somewhat depressed expression.

On the players' side, Hu Hao, the reincarnated God of War Oz, was leading a group of Revelation Society colleagues to unfurl a celebratory banner and scatter flower petals in the lobby; the Wei Xing Tong team and the Che Xi Ya team were excitedly discussing their respective adventure stories at a table of player guests, while Yi Fei and Bai You Zao were fighting with spoons over a piece of cake;

Kronos and Sherlinford, two solitary men as free as the wind, stood in a corner, smiling as they admired the festive scene. Then, Freya, carrying a bouquet of flowers, snapped her fingers and turned their hookahs into brass blocks, nearly knocking out their teeth…

Before long, the music that had been playing in the hall suddenly swelled up, and everyone fell silent and turned to look at the stairs.

A silver-haired girl dressed in a pure white dress appeared from the corridor. Even with a white veil on her head, her beautiful profile was like a jasmine in the mist, revealing a graceful silhouette.

Greta, Skadi, and Susie followed behind in their bridesmaid dresses, each one radiant and stunningly beautiful.

Ye Xiao, dressed in a well-fitting suit, walked down the stairs from the other side. After having his hair styled by a royal stylist, he looked rather handsome.

Although Decalli might be slightly less handsome than Julius and the incredibly good-looking groomsmen behind him, thanks to the magical lighting, her father-in-law still didn't feel that his daughter had married the wrong person.

The two walked through the fluttering petals to the main hall downstairs, where, witnessed by Archbishop Holmes, Ye Xiao softly recited the oath.

The screen suddenly shook violently as a secretly filmed video abruptly cut into the live stream: On the streets of Shibuya, Tokyo, a young man in a hospital gown smashed a vending machine, the flying aluminum cans frozen in mid-air by some invisible force; under a bridge in Brooklyn, New York, flames shooting from a woman's fingertips illuminated the large words "WEARE THE NEW CODE" on graffiti...

After a brief flash, the screen switched back to the news broadcast.

Final remarks

First of all, as is customary, thank you all for your support, hahaha!

Although I thought a lot about what I would say and what I had to say when the book was finished during the writing process, I actually felt a sense of relief and ease after it was finally over.

Although there are indeed some things that are not explained clearly, there is no way around it; the story must ultimately stick to the main plot.

Of course, this isn't because of some abstract reason like "I never felt happy while writing this book," it's simply because I'm often staying up late and am a bit tired.

As for this book, it has actually brought me a lot of valuable experience, and I have truly felt the joy of creation and many special insights from it.

So after thinking about it, I decided to add a closing statement to make it a proper ending.

That being said, the author's mind was actually quite blank when it came to what to say. After thinking for a while, the author decided to mainly answer a few questions that everyone is most concerned about.

First of all, I do have a next book in the works, and it's already in preparation. I'll probably try it out on Qidian first. The genre is also Western fantasy, but it's a male protagonist story, not a story with one soul and two bodies.

There's no way around it. Although the author also really likes the "one soul, two bodies" theme, it's just so, so hard to write, hahaha. Now I know why there are so few books of this type.

The subject matter is relatively niche, and the plot must always consider the scenes of the two main characters complementing each other, which means that each event has to be arranged with two main storylines. Even the originally simple plot becomes much more complicated.

But the complex ideas must be presented to the reader in a simple and clear way. In addition, there are elements like exciting moments and foreshadowing. Every day, I feel dizzy from brainstorming.

But the author does like this genre. If he ever achieves financial freedom, he'll write another one, hahaha!

As for the side stories that everyone is concerned about, although there are some plans, the author also needs to prepare for the next book, so it will be a while before they can be updated.

Regardless, this long journey, spanning nearly two years, is an extremely valuable one in the author's creative career.
