She was short, but she climbed very fast, like a nimble lynx, moving effortlessly between the cliffs.

The bright moonlight shone on the rocks, making it possible to see even without candlelight.

She would stop every now and then on a rock to look at the picture in her arms, and then continue climbing.

All night long, the little zombie with long braids kept moving between the various stone peaks, tireless and undeterred.

Finally, as dawn broke, she found the thing depicted in the picture hidden in a crevice in the rocks.

This plant is hidden in the crevices of rocks and among fallen leaves. Its tiny roots cling tightly to the surrounding stones, and a larger section of its rhizome emerges from a crack no bigger than a fingernail, like a flattened green radish.

But when you touch it, it's as cold as a stone, hard as a rock.

She tried to pull it, but couldn't budge it.

After realizing she couldn't pull it, she changed her approach.

Her fingernails became sharp and hard, and her long nails dug directly into the stone wall, digging out the entire stone from which the Kongtong Hundred Spirit Jade grew, as if digging tofu.

Once the item is found, the order will be lifted.

Her stiff, robot-like, indifferent eyes regained their liveliness and brilliance.

"found it……"

Delighted, she placed the item into the bamboo basket on her back, spread her wings of wind, and flew downwards.

Back at the camp, she put down her bamboo basket and went to the lake to wash off the dust and dew.

Unbeknownst to her, her hair and clothes were already covered in dew.

As she watched the rising sun, a very faint smile appeared on her face.

.

Hu Tao yawned as she came out of the tent, feeling extremely depressed at the thought that she might have to search for many days.

In her search for this Kongtong Hundred Spirit Jade, she now even dreams of climbing mountains.

However, there is no way.

She definitely needs to look for her; she's not the kind of person who gives up easily.

But to her surprise, the first thing she saw when she opened the tent was a small figure squatting in front of her tent door.

Seeing her come out, Qiqi, who had been squatting at the door waiting for her to wake up, stood up and showed her what she was holding.

"Seven Seven... has been found..."

Although her face was expressionless and blank, her eyes were bright and sparkling, even more dazzling than the sun in the sky.

Under such a pair of eyes, Hu Tao was somewhat afraid to look directly at them.

"Qiqi, this is for you... Qiqi doesn't want to go to the afterlife..."

Hu Tao looked at what she was holding in her hands, and it was none other than the Kongtong Hundred Spirit Jade that they had been searching for for two days without success.

The soil on top was still fresh, and the leaves still had some dew on them, clearly indicating that they had just been picked.

Looking at Qiqi holding it in her hands, Hu Tao was momentarily speechless.

Mingming brought her along because he was worried about her being alone in the mountains, and he didn't expect her to be of any help. In the end, it was she who helped him find her.

"You didn't search all night, did you?"

Hu Tao looked at her clothes. Although some of the dust and dirt had been wiped off, there were still some areas that hadn't been cleaned.

Looking at Qiqi, who was so sincere and eager to live, she knew that she could no longer treat her the way she used to.

She couldn't bring herself to go against her will and send her to her death.

Qiqi didn't deny it, but simply raised the object a little higher, "Qiqi wants to help you find..."

Hu Tao looked at her with a complicated expression, then squatted down and rubbed her head.

"Thank you, I respect your wishes and will not send you to your death."

"Really?" Qi Qi was a little surprised to hear Hu Tao's direct and straightforward answer.

Suddenly, the person in front of me wasn't so annoying anymore.

"I always keep my word!" Hu Tao patted his chest to prove that he was a man of his word.

Her reputation is the reputation of the Hall of Rebirth.

"If you ever find life too bitter, come find me! I guarantee I'll give you a beautiful funeral!"

Hu Tao's emotions came and went quickly. Now that she had decided not to send Qi Qi to her death, she naturally wouldn't hold onto the matter any longer.

However, the traditional virtue of selling the Wangshengtang package to the target customers will not change.

She pulled out a stack of flyers. "I have cremation packages, half-price for the second tombstone, buy-one-get-one-free deals, and premium VIP customized services at preferential prices..."

Qiqi took two steps back in fear, realizing that her earlier feeling that she wasn't that annoying was just an illusion.

"No...no need..."

"Why not take a look? It won't hurt. You know, everyone dies eventually. The less you care about death, the better you'll live..."

Walnut continued her rambling, and Qiqi took off running.

This woman is absolutely terrifying; Qiqi definitely can't stand her.

"Don't run away..."

The two ran and chased, and the small Huaguang Forest suddenly became noisy.

Awakened by the noise, Jiang Bai groggily walked out of the tent and looked down to see the Kongtong Hundred Spirit Jade lying carelessly on the ground.

He rubbed his eyes in disbelief and pinched himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming.

"Why is this Kongtong Hundred Spirit Jade here?" He picked it up and examined it several times before confirming that it was genuine and not some counterfeit product.

He looked left and right but couldn't see the Walnut Man. Holding the Kongtong Hundred Spirit Jade, he walked and shouted loudly, "Hall Master! Hall Master, where are you?"

Before he could hear Hu Tao's reply, a small figure rushed past him, kicking up dust, followed by a person holding a large handful of flyers—it was none other than Hu Tao.

Walnut ran extremely fast as well, kicking up dust that splattered onto Jiang Bai's face.

Jiang Bai stared blankly at everything, not knowing what had happened.

"Why not take a look? It won't hurt! Our services at the Rebirth Hall are quite extensive..."

Hu Tao's voice continued, but Qi Qi's voice sounded like she was crying.

"No...don't..."

Jiang Bai scratched his head blankly.

Is the head of the hall trying to take Qiqi back to the Hall of Rebirth or something?

As for why we didn't guess that Hu Tao wanted to cremate Qi Qi, Hu Tao's demeanor didn't seem like it at all. She was holding a flyer and being very cheerful, which didn't look like she was going to start cremation work.

As for Qiqi, it's probably just a case of post-traumatic stress disorder.

Jiang Bai returned to the tent, took a toothbrush and a mouthwash cup, and stood by the lake to rinse his mouth while watching them put on a chase scene.

It's like watching two monkeys playing around in a zoo.

In the end, it was Hu Tao who couldn't go on.

She watched, panting, as Qiqi, who had been running for an unknown amount of time but whose speed had not decreased at all, gave up.

"I'm not chasing anymore, I'm exhausted..." She leaned against the stone wall, her chest heaving.

----------

P.S.: I'd like to explain some of the issues here.

The first issue is map size.

Since it's a novel, it can't be completely based on the game.

Liyue Harbor is the only city in the country and is home to 90% of the country's population, which is at least tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, or even millions of people!

It definitely won't be as small as it appears in the game.

(Just between you and me, I think the population of the seven kingdoms is very small, maybe only a few million at most, because the arable land area is limited and can't support a large population.)

That's a design limitation in the game. They can't actually give you a city as big as Beijing, otherwise you'd be exhausted from running around doing quests.

The same applies to other countries; the maps are zoomed in.

Secondly, there's the issue of settings.

The main settings are based on the game's settings, but the characters' abilities cannot be completely replicated from the game.

Various elements will certainly be developed for multiple uses, such as using rock elements to make stools, fire elements to burn, and water elements to make drinking water, all of which are applications of elements.

The characters we drew aren't stupid; they each have their own way of being used. The novel is meant to bring these characters to life. If we only limited them to a few skills, it would be a shame to have this elemental world.

That's all for now. I'll add more later.

Chapter 70 The Hair Washing Boy

Because I had just woken up and hadn't washed up, my hair was disheveled, I wasn't wearing a hat, and sweat was sticking to my face, I looked like a female ghost.

Seeing that she had stopped chasing, Qiqi finally stopped, her face filled with trepidation.

This person is absolutely terrifying...

"Master, what are you guys doing?" Jiang Bai had a towel draped over his shoulder. He had already washed his face and hair.

"Nothing! I'm just happy!"

Jiang Bai tilted his head.

Is your happiness just chasing after Qiqi?

"Hmm~ I found the stuff, I'm in a good mood today! I'll rest for a while this morning, have lunch, and then head to Hulao Mountain."

After finishing her sentence, Hu Tao tossed her hair back, humming a song as she walked into the lake.

Suddenly remembering something, she turned and looked at Jiang Bai warily:

"This master is taking a bath; you are not allowed to peek!"

Jiang Bai tilted his head again.

Do you take your clothes off when you shower?

What's so interesting about you taking a bath?

But speaking of which, he really should take a shower; he's going to start smelling bad if he doesn't.

He cupped his hands into a megaphone shape and shouted at Hu Tao, whose entire body had sunk into the lake and only his head was visible, "Master, give me a set of my clothes!"

Hu Tao, whose head was the only part of her body above water, threw a set of clothes over, which Jiang Bai leaped up and caught precisely.

Jiang Bai looked at Qi Qi, who was peeking out from behind a tree, and said, "Qi Qi, take a rest. After you've rested, we'll go to Hulao Mountain."

After giving a shout, he found a place where the water was relatively deep, took off his clothes until he was only wearing his underwear, and jumped in.

The lake water was icy cold in the morning, but it didn't bother them at all, even though they had the eyes of God.

Jiang Bai submerged his entire head in the water, bubbling away.

His short white hair drifted east and west with the current, as if he were having a great time.

It's called taking a bath, but it's really just soaking in water to wash away the sweat, since there's no way to scrub yourself properly.

Not long after, feeling that he had washed enough, he poked his head out of the water.

Qiqi squatted by the lake, quietly watching them play in the water.

Zombies are not afraid of water, but their clothes will get wet.

I got wet and have no clothes to change into.

Walnut's head sank into the water, with only bubbles rising to the surface.

Jiang Bai swam in the lake, sometimes doing breaststroke, sometimes freestyle, sometimes backstroke, and sometimes doggy paddle. As he swam, he swam to the side of the walnut tree.

"Oh, Master! What a coincidence!"

Looking at Hu Tao, whose hair was disheveled and who looked like a female ghost floating in the water, he whistled.
