A clerk rushed to the screen, his face turning deathly pale.

"Station Chief Estella! An energy level fluctuation has appeared in the Doomsday Beast; it is approaching the main control area along the outer structure!"

Estella paused for a moment.

He strode to the control panel and leaned over to look at the data on the screen for a few seconds.

How long can the protective shield last?

"Five minutes max."

"Everyone, evacuate to the lower level immediately."

Estella straightened up.

"Take your portable terminal and core data with you, and leave the rest of the equipment alone. Use the emergency exit, and do not take the elevator."

The staff immediately sprang into action, carrying terminals and equipment boxes and running in an orderly fashion toward the emergency exit.

Estelle turned to look at the group on the Star Train, about to speak.

A gray figure darted past her.

Xing, carrying a baseball bat, strode towards the corridor.

"Xing! Where are you going!" March 7th shouted from behind her.

"Fight monsters." Xing said without turning his head.

"That's a Doomsday Beast! Not an ordinary Void Soldier! You can't defeat it alone!"

"We'll talk about it if we can't beat them."

Xing tilted his head and tapped his shoulder with his baseball bat.

"And that thing is so big, it looks very valuable."

March 7th stood there with his mouth agape, completely stunned.

By the time she realized what was happening, Xing had already run more than ten meters away.

"Is she crazy?!"

On March 7th, he turned to look at Danheng.

Dan Heng had already gripped the spear, his brow furrowed but he remained calm.

"We can't let her go alone."

March 7 gritted his teeth and quickly followed.

Estella called out to them from the evacuating crowd:

"The platform is up there! Don't fire from the main control area, the shield won't hold!"

After saying that, he was surrounded by his colleagues and led to the emergency exit.

Qi Ye followed Dan Heng and San Yueqi upstairs, quickly processing the current situation in her mind as she ran.

The apocalyptic beasts have arrived ahead of schedule.

This plot isn't going right.

According to the process he had played in the game, wouldn't the Doomsday Beast have to meet Himeko first?

Instead of the way it is now.

An amnesiac girl, carrying a baseball bat, rushed up to challenge him to a one-on-one match.

Following behind were a cursing, pink-haired archer and a cold-faced, expressionless spearman.

There was also a vendor selling light cones, carrying a bag of miscellaneous items and sweating profusely.

"The plot is too abstract."

As Qi Ye climbed the stairs, she muttered to herself.

[Additional note: You're still carrying that bag on your shoulder, would you like to put it down?]

Qi Ye paused for a moment, then stuffed the bag into the corner of the stairwell.

quicken your pace to catch up with the people in front.

The moment I reached the top of the last step, my view suddenly opened up.

The rooftop area was much more spacious than the corridor, and the dome was covered with a semi-transparent energy shield.

This isolates the vacuum from the interior of the space station.

Through the protective shield, you can see the distorted starry sky outside.

The doomsday beast is swooping down from directly above the dome.

Two giant claws slammed heavily onto the protective shield.

The energy barrier fluctuated violently, and cracks spread outwards from the point of impact.

The entire rooftop was shaking.

Xing was already standing in the very center of the rooftop.

The cracks in the protective shield continued to spread above her head.

She looked up at the giant beast, her baseball bat planted firmly on the ground.

He looked excited, as if he were looking at something incredibly red.

"A good person!"

She turned around and called out in the direction of Qiye.

How much can this sell for?

Qi Ye, panting as she leaned against the door frame at the top of the stairs, almost choked on her breath when she heard those words.

"You rushed up here just so I'd give you a price estimate?!"

"No, I'll just call you while I'm at it, but I'll ask about the price first so I can decide how much effort I need to put in."

On March 7th, the two people's outrageous conversation nearly made him snap his bowstring.

"That's a doomsday beast! Can't you two be serious for once?!"

Dan Heng did not participate in this conversation.

He had already cut in from the side with his spear, the tip of which touched the ground.

Using the momentum, he leaped into the air, and a spear beam slashed through the air, piercing straight at the forelimb joint of the Doomsday Beast.

Xing watched as Dan Heng made his move, and no longer waited for Qi Ye's offer.

He swung the bat and charged forward with his feet.

The giant claw of the Doomsday Beast slammed into the protective shield, and another crack exploded.

Golden fragments rained down from the sky.

Her figure, holding the baseball bat, appeared as small as a speck of dust in the face of the behemoth.

Chapter 12 An Old Clue

The star rushed out very fast, and flew back even faster.

When the giant claw of the Doomsday Beast swept horizontally across...

She even made a swinging motion in the air.

Then he and his baseball bat were knocked away.

The gray figure traced an arc and landed squarely on Qi Ye, who hadn't even had time to react.

Qi Ye was knocked to the ground by her, sliding about half a meter before stopping.

Xing lay on top of him, and the baseball bat rolled to the side.

She blinked and looked down at Qiye, who was pinned beneath her.

He looked up again at the roaring apocalyptic beast in the distance, his face full of curiosity.

"It doesn't hurt!"

"Of course you're not in pain!"

Qi Ye's voice was squeezed out from between his teeth.

"You're using me as a cushion!"

"Well, you're quite soft."

Xing climbed off him and dusted off his knees.

I reached out and pulled him up too, giving him a once-over.

"Are your ribs broken?"

"It didn't break, it almost did."

Qi Ye rubbed his chest.

"Then everything is fine."

Xing bent down to pick up the baseball bat, hoisted it back onto his shoulder, and turned to look at the Doomsday Beast.

The giant beast was swinging its two massive claws and frantically smashing the protective shield.

The cracks in the protective shield have spread to the edge of the dome; if it continues any longer, the entire rooftop will be exposed to a vacuum.

Danheng's spear pierced the joint of the Doomsday Beast's forelimb, leaving only a shallow white mark.

The ice arrow of March 7th struck its eye, and it merely shook its head.

The two attacks struck the Doomsday Beast with an effect roughly equivalent to flicking a rhinoceros with a rubber band.

"This thing has too thick armor."

Dan Heng took a step back.

"I can't break through!"

Another arrow was fired on March 7th.

The arrow struck the Doomsday Beast's carapace and exploded into a cloud of icy mist, leaving not even a crack.

Qi Ye stood on the edge of the rooftop, quickly flipping through the system's inventory.

Other light cones are simply no match for enemies of this level.

The only thing that could be considered offensive was the thing he swore he would never use again.

[Light Cone Name: "The Man with His Own Background Music"]

[Current Status: Activate]

There was no other choice.

On March 7th, he nocked an arrow, drew his bow, and aimed at the gaping maw of the Doomsday Beast.

She didn't notice that a dark purple ball of light was gathering deep inside the Doomsday Beast's throat.

By the time she realized what was happening, a beam of light had already shot out from the giant beast's mouth, heading straight for her.

She didn't have time to dodge and was so frightened that her legs went weak.

Just then, a figure blocked her way.

With his back to her, a spotlight descended from the sky, enveloping him in dazzling white light.

On March 7th, she knelt on the ground, looking up at the back of the figure blocking her way.

The spotlight outlined the contours of his shoulders and back, and the afterglow of the light shattered into countless golden rays around him.
