I caught a Pokémon

We'll probably have to wait and see.

After Huang Guaxiang and Cai Dou stood on either side, an older apprentice took on the role of referee.

As the one being challenged, Cucumber Fragrance was the first to release her Pokémon.

With a flick of her wrist, three Poké Balls flew out simultaneously, and with a flash of blue light, three Pokémon appeared outside the battlefield.

Upon closer inspection, these three Pokémon are Ironhide, Medicham, and Hitmonchan. In terms of type, all three Pokémon are clearly Fighting-type, which fits the character of Cucumber Fragrance.

This makes it look more like a dojo.

Looking at Bea, she also released her Pokémon.

When the same three blue lights flashed, an Octopus Warrior, a Wrestling Hawkman, and a Tyrannosaurus Rex appeared outside the arena, facing off against Cucumber Fragrance's Pokémon.

These three are undoubtedly all Fighting-type Pokémon.

It seems this battle will be a major clash between Fighting-type Pokémon.

To be honest, Bea's Pokémon also opened the eyes of these Kanto people.

After all, these Pokémon, which are completely different from those in the Kanto region, are quite novel. In particular, these three Pokémon are all very fierce, with a menacing look on their faces. They look very difficult to deal with, and one can't help but feel worried for Cucumber Fragrance.

Actually, the three Pokémon that appeared in front of her were completely unfamiliar to her.

While being a pioneering mind would naturally broaden one's knowledge and horizons, and one would also have some understanding of Pokémon from other regions, information is information. Pokémon from other regions rarely come to Kanto, let alone fight against them. So, one would naturally not be so confident in a fight.

Unfortunately, this is limited by the types of creatures found in the region. But if you look at it from another perspective, a Pokémon from the Kanto region might become a rare find in other regions.

However, although both sides' Pokémon made an appearance, it wasn't a full-scale three-on-three battle. Instead, they would take turns fighting to determine the winner one by one.

The previous segment was more like everyone revealing their cards and then playing openly!

Although I don't know its significance, it is a place that is different from ordinary dojos.

Without much preamble, both of them selected their first Pokémon from their respective teams. Cucumber chose her Ironhide, while Bea sent out her Pandaren.

In terms of type, these two Pokémon are both Fighting-type, and they both prefer to use strength to decide the outcome rather than technique, which will make this battle even more intense.

There's no need to say much about Bea's Pandaren; Xia You had seen it in battle before and knew it was very powerful. As for Cucumber Fragrance's Iron Fist, Xia You had just learned from Ashida that this Iron Fist was also Cucumber Fragrance's ace Pokémon and the one she used most often. It seems that this battle will not only be intense but also a crucial one.

With the referee's signal, the match began immediately.

The two Pokémon immediately launched into an attack, running towards each other with long strides and quickly engaging in combat.

This was a clash of strength; they went back and forth, each move powerful and heavy, neither willing to yield, and neither would retreat even when struck hard.

Although such battles lack sophisticated moves, they still possess the charm of Fighting-type Pokémon and are undoubtedly thrilling to watch!

It was easy to see from the expressions of the apprentices that they were all clenching their fists, cheering and applauding as the situation on the field changed. It could be said that every confrontation deeply affected their minds.

However, no matter how intense the battle, it will eventually come to an end.

Cucumber Fragrance's strength is indeed outstanding, otherwise she wouldn't have been invited by Ashida to be the pioneer's brain, but this time she has obviously met her match.

As the official Gym Leader of the Pokémon League, Bea travels, trains, and challenges all over the world, so her strength is not to be underestimated. Although she is certainly not as strong as the Elite Four, she is not someone that a Scout can handle.

Ultimately, thanks to his superior perseverance and strength, the domineering panda defeated the iron-palm warrior in the first battle!

Chapter 795 Karate

With Iron Palm Warrior falling, it also means that Rainbow Bean has won the first round.

Xia You, Xiao Xia, and Xiao Yao clapped their hands, and even Ashida clapped with a smile.

For the boss behind the Frontier Zone, whether it's the Frontier Brain winning or the Challenger succeeding, he's happy to see a brilliant performance that showcases the spirit of the Frontier Zone.

Just as Xia You clapped, Cai Dou glanced at him quickly, seemingly nonchalant, before refocusing her attention on the competition.

This subtle action went unnoticed by anyone, including Xia You.

On the other hand, although they felt it was a pity, Cucumber Fragrance was still quite convinced of its defeat.

After all, this battle was purely a clash of strength. Her Pokémon was simply outmatched, and she was defeated fair and square, so there's not much to say about it.

After recalling Iron Palm Warrior, Cucumber Fragrance considered her lineup and, when the second round began, waved her hand and sent out her Çalhan.

In terms of appearance, Medicham is a human-like Pokémon. Its head, legs, and lips are bright red with some pale yellow spots, while the rest of its body is white. Its upper body is relatively slender, while its lower body is relatively plump, and its arms are long. This color scheme makes it look somewhat like a yoga practitioner or a Latin dancer.

After rigorous yoga training, this Pokémon can use its developed mental strength to predict its opponent's actions. It also often meditates for long periods without eating anything. As long as it concentrates, it can see its opponent's aura. Some people have even discovered that it can increase its internal energy through meditation, and its sixth sense becomes more acute. It can also merge with the wild and eliminate its own aura.

As a Pokémon with both psychic and fighting attributes, compared to the previous Iron Fist Pokémon, this Medicham is undoubtedly more skill-oriented. It uses graceful, dance-like movements to dodge attacks while delivering a powerful blow to its opponent.

Looking at this Medicham, Bea pondered for a moment among her own Pokémon, then withdrew her Pokémon Pandaren and sent out her new Pokémon Hawlucha.

This is not a very wise decision.

Çalhan has the Psychic attribute. Originally, when facing Pandaren, she would be unable to deal damage due to Pandaren's Dark attribute. However, Bea switched Pandaren out, which means that she actively turned her advantage into a disadvantage.

However, this is understandable.

After all, the Overlord Panda had also suffered some injuries in the previous battle, and its stamina had also decreased. It was uncertain whether it could fight a full match again, so replacing it to rest was a way to have some backup plans.

Moreover, compared to Bea's other Octopus Warrior, the Wrestling Hawkman at least has the Flying attribute, which makes it not so helpless when facing the Psychic-type Charem.

At the referee's signal, the second round officially began.

Knowing that his attributes were disadvantageous, the Wrestling Hawkman launched the first attack.

It must be said that although the name contains the word "eagle" and it has cloak-like feathers, the Wrestling Eagle can't actually fly. However, it has a light body and can nimbly jump into the air. It can also use its cloak-like wings to adjust its posture and achieve a brief period of airtime.

This also makes its attacks more varied.

However, Çalhanoğlu's flexibility played a significant role at this moment.

Facing the attacks of the Hawkman, Çalhm easily dodged the Hawkman's various moves with very soft and large movements.

When the Wrestling Hawkman raised his two talons and missed again, it was clear that he was getting impatient, which gave Çalam an opportunity.

It can be said that people like Huang Guaxiang and Cai Dou are also very good at seizing opportunities, and they can keenly detect any mistakes that occur.

In an instant, Charem unleashed his superpowers, stunning the Hawkman, and then followed up with his fighting techniques, ultimately defeating the Hawkman with ease.

This battle had nothing to do with strength; it was simply that Charem's flexible body was a perfect counter to the Wrestling Hawkman's tough attacks, while his superpowers were a perfect counter to his opponent.

The score was tied at 1-1.

Seeing this, the trainees were naturally happy for Huang Guaxiang's victory, while Xia You and the others, looking at Cai Dou's calm face, knew that the competition was not yet halfway through and were waiting for her to perform next.

Soon, Cai Dou proved with her abilities that her travel training was not in vain.

In the third round, she still didn't send out the Tyrant Panda, but instead sent out the Octopus Warrior. Despite the same unfavorable attribute, she used the four tentacles on the upper body of the Octopus Warrior to successfully defeat Çalem by reversing the attribute!

Charem's supple body and movements were completely rendered useless by the four tentacles. Once the Octopus Warrior seized the opportunity, he directly imprisoned Charem and strangled him until he fainted.

This brought the score to 2-1.

But that wasn't the end of it. When the panda returned from its rest and made its second appearance, it used its overwhelming power to punish the Pokémon whose punches were said to be 'faster than bullets'.

One punch shattered Fast Punch Man's winning mentality.

Two punches shattered Huang Guaxiang's dream of a comeback.

A domineering panda carrying a long bamboo leaf in its mouth—how terrifying!

In the end, Ayame won the battle relatively easily with a score of 3 to 1.

The apprentices scratched their heads, looking utterly disappointed and upset, while Xia You and the others clapped lightly.

"I lost." Seeing this result, Cucumber Fragrance shook her head helplessly and looked at Bea and said, "Your Pokémon training is quite outstanding. I am no match for you at all."

Despite being a pioneering genius, Cucumber Fragrance is clearly not as concerned with saving face as some other club owners who are easily defeated and can't bring themselves to admit it. For her, losing is losing, and she can accept it with complete equanimity.

However, she didn't expect to be facing a woman who was 'completely unromantic'.

Hearing Huang Guaxiang's words of half admiration and half praise, Cai Dou simply nodded and said, "Losing a match proves that my cultivation is not enough."

In short, it's unclear how the cucumber fragrance will continue the conversation.

If losing one game means you haven't cultivated enough, then if I lose three games, does that mean I haven't cultivated at all?

What about my apprentices?

However, judging from the stiff tone of the beautiful woman in front of her, Huang Guaxiang could roughly guess what kind of personality she had. After shaking her head, she didn't think too much about it.

Walking up to Cai Dou, Huang Gua Xiang took out a round, gold badge that looked like a gold coin from her pocket and handed it to Cai Dou.

"This is a symbol of perseverance in winning the arena battles. Please accept it."

Cai Dou thanked him, took the badge and put it in her backpack, then took a step back and turned her head towards Xia You.

Xia You also got up at this moment, and led Xiaoxia and Xiaoyao to the cucumber fragrance.

"Congratulations, you played really well."

After congratulating Cai Dou, Xia You turned to Huang Gua Xiang, but just as he was about to speak, Huang Gua Xiang shook his head at him.

"I'm sorry, although I'd love to battle you right now, as you just saw, all my Pokémon have been defeated. I'm afraid I can't fight you until they recover."

"Huh?" Xiaoxia, who was very outspoken, asked in surprise, "Miss Cucumber Fragrance, do you only have these few Pokémon?"

“Of course not,” Cucumber Fragrance laughed. “I still have many Pokémon, but when facing a champion, I still hope to use my strongest lineup. However, as you can see…”

So that's how it is. Medicham and Ironhide were her strongest Pokémon...

There was no other way. Xia You naturally wanted to battle her strongest Pokémon, but they were already injured, so she could only wait for them to recover.

"Okay, I'm willing to wait."

Hearing Xia You agree, Huang Guaxiang breathed a sigh of relief.

In fact, whether it's the gym leader or a pioneer like her, most people would be willing to have a serious battle with a master like Xia You. Regardless of winning or losing, it's a good way to train Pokémon. So now that such an opportunity is available, she naturally doesn't want to miss it either.

After calming Xia You down, Cucumber Fragrance turned to Aya again and said with a smile, "Miss Aya, if I may ask, you must be a karate master, right? Besides Pokémon, would it be possible to spar with you in karate?"

With just one sentence, everyone's attention was once again drawn to the two women.

It wasn't a Pokémon battle, but a karate sparring match, which is extremely rare to see!

When Ayako heard that Cucumber Fragrance wanted to have a karate match with her, she was stunned for a moment, but then nodded slightly.

"can."

First, she handed her Poké Ball to an apprentice to treat the Pokémon. Cucumber Fragrance straightened her clothes and then looked directly at Bea, at which moment a fierce aura erupted from her!

Xia You quickly led the two girls back to where they had been, clearing the area for them. Even Ashida took off her sunglasses and stared intently at the battlefield.

As for the apprentices, they didn't even dare to breathe loudly.

Under everyone's gaze, Cai Dou looked at Huang Gua Xiang without showing any weakness, and her momentum rapidly increased at this moment. In the next second, the two of them simultaneously let out a low shout and got into a fighting stance!

As they faced off, they probed each other back and forth, seemingly searching for each other's weaknesses or guarding against an opponent's attack.

Even before the match started, a tense atmosphere already enveloped the entire arena.

To be honest, Xia You knew absolutely nothing about karate, and didn't know any of the technical terms involved. She was just an outsider watching the show.

In the blink of an eye, Cucumber Fragrance took a step forward and attacked Rainbow Bean with both hands, while Rainbow Bean countered while defending!

Everything happened so fast!

It felt like they had already exchanged blows and separated within a second or two!

It seems like it's a tie.

However, judging from the slightly incredulous exclamations of the surrounding apprentices, it seemed that Cai Dou had once again gained the upper hand.

Xiaoxia then asked softly, "Brother Xiayou, can you understand it?"

Xia You shook her head: "We've never been involved before and don't know the rules. Let's just watch the show and find out when the results come out."

If it's something that's obviously superior or inferior, then even an ordinary person could tell the difference. But the real challenge is when, after the match, you have no idea who has won or who has scored. That's when the spectators' eyesight is truly tested.

Whether someone is a novice, an expert, or only has a superficial understanding, it becomes crystal clear at this moment.

But as Xia You said, he didn't actually need to understand it at all; he could simply watch the battle with an appreciative eye.

After their initial clash, Rainbow Bean and Cucumber Fragrance seemed to have a general understanding of their opponent's level, so they stopped probing and launched a fierce attack.

The two figures clashed, using both their bare hands and bare feet, engaging in several brief but intense exchanges that seemed to rival any battle between Pokémon!

Not only were Xia You and his group deeply attracted, but even the apprentices were stunned. It's likely that even they rarely witnessed such a high-intensity and fierce karate duel!

However, in the next second, the two people in the arena took a step back at the same time and bowed to each other.

Huh? It's over already?
