I caught a Pokémon

Fortunately, she didn't choke on water this time.

Behind Xia You, Dragonite's bald head also emerged from the sea. The group looked towards the island and saw that most of the island had completely disappeared, leaving only the edges. In the center of the island, the originally protruding volcanic rock mountain was gone, replaced by a huge pit, and seawater was rushing into the pit through the cracks!

Looking back into the pit, Groudon and Kyogre both had sustained injuries and were panting heavily as they looked at each other.

Seeing this, A-Quan couldn't help but mutter, "What was that just now?"

Although Team Aqua and Team Magma have been searching for Groudon and Kyogre since their inception, their understanding of these two ancient legendary Pokémon is mostly based on documents and stone tablets, and they don't actually know much about the details.

The moves those two Pokémon just used were clearly not within their comprehension.

Xia You sighed: "These are the Cliff Sword and the Origin Wave, exclusive techniques that only they possess!"

"The Sword of the Precipice and the Origin Fluctuation?"

A-Quan and Huo-Yan were both stunned. Neither of them asked Xia You how she knew all this. They just stared blankly at the small island that had been razed to the ground, feeling a surge of emotion.

"Wow, that's incredibly powerful..."

Are the Cliff Sword and Root Wave strong?

It is really strong.

But for Xia You, it's actually not bad.

Although it was very powerful, it wasn't powerful enough to shock him.

In terms of power, the combined damage from these two moves is roughly equivalent to the combined attack of his three sacred birds.

Of course, this only refers to the power of a single move.

His three legendary birds become weak after using the Three Birds Combo, feeling as if half of their bodies have been hollowed out, resulting in a significant reduction in strength during subsequent battles. In contrast, Groudon and Kyogre remain unfazed after using Precipice Blade and Root Pulse, as if nothing had happened. This demonstrates just how vast the differences are between them, in addition to the fact that their moves are comparable.

It can only be said that there are differences even among legendary Pokémon.

And this is only what it is used in normal state. If they were to return to their original state, the power of the moves would increase even more!

That's truly terrifying!

After a while, the effects of the explosion gradually subsided.

Although some of the ocean team members who were further away managed to escape into the sea in time, many others still perished. Everywhere one looked, there were figures floating on the sea, motionless, their fate unknown.

Xia You's gaze swept over these people several times, but she didn't find Chi Yansong's figure, and her heart sank.

What about others?

Did it evaporate?

Or did it sink to the bottom of the sea?

Xia You was able to think of him immediately not because she was worried about his safety, but because the indigo pearl was still in his hands!

His death could be considered a loss, as he had rid the world of a scourge. However, if the indigo orb were destroyed, it would cause far more trouble.

Besides the Crimson Flame Pine, the Water Wutong, Achao, and Fire Village were also nowhere to be seen.

However, Xia You did not believe they would die so easily. After all, these people were all very tough. Although it was unknown where they were blown away by the explosion, he believed that they would definitely reappear in front of people soon!

This isn't even the worst of it.

Xia You waded through the water, floating on the surface with Huo Yan. To avoid sinking, Huo Yan had to wrap her arms around Xia You's waist, but when she touched it, she found an empty pocket!

"Huh? Where's your other gem?"

"what?"

Upon hearing Huo Yan's words, Xia You looked down and saw that the bottom of the pocket that was originally tied around her waist had a large hole!

The vermilion pearl that was originally placed inside has disappeared!

This……

Xia You was stunned for a long time before letting out a helpless sigh.

This is truly a case of misfortunes never coming singly...

It's obvious that the impact must have torn the pocket, causing the pearl to be thrown out.

He was eager to search, but the sea was right beneath his feet, the sky was overcast and raining, and visibility was extremely low. Where could he possibly look?

Ah Quan looked at his empty pockets, moved his lips, but said nothing.

It was incredibly unlucky, but Xia You couldn't be blamed for it. If the bag had been on her, she wouldn't have escaped the same fate under such an impact.

I had just collected the two precious pearls and hadn't even had a chance to enjoy them, but I never expected to lose them one after another in such a short time.

This is too much of a rollercoaster ride...

The only good news is that Groudon and Kyogre were not controlled by anyone. Although they fought each other and destroyed an island, it was still a relatively good outcome.

For Xia You, however, this does not seem to be the end.

He shook his head helplessly and said to the two women beside him, "I have a feeling this isn't over yet. Just watch, even though the pearl is lost, it will definitely be in the hands of Shui Wutong and Chiyansong when we meet again!"

Ah Quan's brows furrowed immediately: "Why would you say that?"

“It’s a feeling, or maybe it’s the law of bad guys,” Xia You sighed. “And I can sense that when we meet again, we won’t be facing Groudon and Kyogre in their normal forms. We’ll definitely be facing them in their Primal Reversion forms, and we might even face Rayquaza!”

Chapter 713 Groudon: You're actually a pretty nice guy.

The Ocean Team members fled in panic.

Not only the speedboats that landed, but also the two submarines that they and the Lava Team had traveled on were affected by the explosion and sank one after another.

This operation undoubtedly caused extremely serious losses to both sides.

Fortunately, they had Water-type Pokémon to ride, and since they were good swimmers, they were not destined to perish in the sea.

Xia You didn't have the extra energy to deal with these people; his gaze returned to Groudon and Kyogre.

Although all the precious pearls were lost, there was some good news. With Crimson Flame Pine and Water Wutong no longer around, at least there was no need to worry about anyone else causing trouble!

"What I just said is all in the future. It won't happen until Crimson Mist and Archie reappear. We just need to keep an eye on things. Right now, we have to stop Groudon and Kyogre before Rayquaza notices this. We can't let those two keep fighting!"

Xia You's concerns about whether Rayquaza would appear were not unfounded.

After all, many years ago, Rayquaza had stopped Groudon and Kyogre from their epic battle. Because of that battle, Rayquaza was worshipped by the Meteor People. Although neither of these Pokémon has undergone Primal Reversion and the impact is very limited, Rayquaza, who is very familiar with their auras, will definitely not remain indifferent if it senses them again!

Therefore, this matter must be resolved before Rayquaza discovers it.

A-Quan clearly agreed with this view. She turned to Xia You and said, "Then it's up to you now. We can't help you much. And your Deoxys has been keeping quiet until now, isn't it all for this moment?"

Although Ah Quan's tone was somewhat joking, what she said was not wrong.

Why has Xia You kept Deoxys hidden until now, and why didn't he participate in the previous battles?

Naturally, this is all to conserve energy so that we can launch a surprise attack at a crucial moment!

However, now is not the best time to release Deoxys. After signaling Dragonite to fly out of the water, Xia You, A Quan, and Huo Yan first climbed onto its back, and then let Dragonite fly to a slightly farther place in the sky before taking out Deoxys's Ultra Ball and waiting for the right opportunity.

With three adults on board, even though Dragonite is relatively strong, it naturally wouldn't fly as nimbly as usual.

This is why it couldn't escape in time and was knocked into the water by the shockwave of the explosion.

However, simply carrying them and flying them in mid-air is not a problem.

Dragonite flew slowly around the ruined island at an altitude of several hundred meters.

At this moment, in the center of the battlefield, Groudon and Kyogre charged at each other again. However, compared to before, the two Pokémon were in slightly worse condition. Both their wounds and their stamina showed that the battle had taken a toll on them.

However, this is only a slight improvement. If things continue to develop like this, the two Pokémon will probably fight not only into the night but also until dawn, and there may still be no winner.

Just as the two Pokémon collided again, Xia You finally moved.

He activated the Super Ball, and the next second, his Deoxys appeared in the air.

While inside the Poké Ball, it had already taken in all the situations using its psychic powers. Now that it had appeared, without Xia You's command, its gaze naturally fell on Groudon and Kyogre.

Xia You raised her chin: "See that blue Pokémon? That's Kyogre. Keep an eye on it and help Groudon take it down!"

As soon as he finished speaking, not only did Deoxys turn to look at him, but even Huo Yan, who was sitting in front of Xia You, couldn't help but turn around and glance at Xia You.

Aquan's eerie voice came from behind: "I say...did Kyogre offend you before? Didn't you send Deoxys to stop them? Why did you help Groudon instead?"

"You don't even understand this?" Xia You snorted. "The best way to stop two Pokémon is not to defeat them at the same time. That would be too tiring and you'd easily be attacked by them at the same time. So the best way is to take sides. As long as one of them is defeated, the fight will naturally stop!"

“Even so…” A-Quan couldn’t help but ask, “Then why not help Kyogre fight Groudon? You know, Kyogre is a Water-type Pokémon, while Groudon is a Ground-type. Water-type Pokémon have an advantage over Ground-type Pokémon, so you could defeat one of them faster that way, right?”

There's one more thing she didn't mention: as a former member of Team Aqua, despite her goal being to control Kyogre, Izumi still secretly favors Kyogre.

If you're going to help one of them, it's best to help Kyogre fight Groudon.

It's obvious that Firebird is just as close to Groudon as Firebird is to her, and since Firebird is now a teammate, it's not appropriate to say these things in front of Firebird.

Xia You sighed deeply, as if she were disappointed in someone: "I always thought you were smart, but I never expected you to be so stupid!"

"What did you say!?"

Upon hearing Xia You's words, A-Quan's brows immediately furrowed.

Before she could speak again, Xia You explained, "We're in the ocean right now. Kyogre is known as the embodiment of the ocean, controlling it is a piece of cake. If we defeat Groudon and it targets us, it will be very dangerous. So we have to defeat it first! And..."

At this point, Xia You suddenly paused.

Seeing that A-Quan and Fire Goose were listening intently, Xia You smiled and said, "And Groudon can't fly, that's the most crucial thing!"

"This..." A-Quan blinked, puzzled, "What does this have to do with anything?"

"Of course!" Xia You said matter-of-factly. "That way, even if Kyogre is defeated and flees without looking back, Groudon, which can't fly, won't be able to catch it! When we retreat, even if Groudon still wants to fight, it won't have a match. Even if it's impotently furious, it won't be of any use. Wouldn't that completely end this battle?"

Ah Quan never expected Xia You's final explanation to be like this!

Although she vaguely sensed that something was amiss, she opened her mouth, but in the end, she could only helplessly say, "Okay, what you said does make some sense. After hearing it, I even want to thank you on behalf of Groudon..."

While they were talking, Groudon and Kyogre had already fought several more rounds.

Seeing this, Xia You no longer hesitated and said calmly, "Deoxys, attack form!"

The moment his order was given, Deoxys's body underwent a transformation.

The body, which was originally normal, transformed into an attack form with four tentacle-like arms and a head with three sharp horns in the next second!

Without Xia You giving any further instructions, Deoxys spotted its target and swooped down, heading straight for Kyogre!

The distance of six or seven hundred meters was covered in an instant by Deoxys' speed. On its way to Kyogre, Deoxys had already condensed a terrifying energy. When it arrived next to Kyogre, it unleashed the energy, which struck Kyogre squarely in the back!

This was so sudden that Kyogre didn't realize he'd been ambushed until he was hit!

Even Groudon, which was standing in front of it, discovered Deoxys at this moment.

It's no wonder they were so careless and didn't give any warning. In fact, Deoxys doesn't cause such a huge commotion as Kyogre and Groudon when it appears, like a landslide or a tsunami.

It was released from the Poké Ball by Xia You, making a silent and unnoticed appearance without alerting anyone.

In addition, the distance was relatively far, Deoxys was extremely fast, and Kyogre and Groudon were also engaged in a fierce battle and had no time to spare, which made the sneak attack so successful and caught Kyogre completely off guard!

Deoxys in its attack form is extremely powerful, and this attack directly caused Kyogre to let out a painful roar!

It suddenly turned around and rammed its massive body into Deoxys, but Deoxys was already on guard against its counterattack and easily dodged the impact.

At the same time, Deoxys struck again, delivering another Psychic attack to Kyogre.

Kyogre is so big that it's hard to miss!

However, Kyogre was no pushover either. It also discovered that the creature that had suddenly appeared was extremely agile, and that simple attacks could not hit it at all, so it had to use an area-of-effect attack directly!

But at that moment, Groudon saw that Kyogre's back was wide open, revealing an opening, and immediately launched an attack on it.

With a powerful swing of its claw, Groudon was slammed from mid-air onto the water's surface, and naturally, the power it was meant to unleash dissipated within its body.

In fact, although these two ancient legendary Pokémon also use the power within their bodies to fight, they do not have the concept of 'moves' and fight entirely based on instinct.

Instinct makes them tear the earth apart; instinct makes them cause weather changes; instinct also makes them release their surging power through various means!

For those who do not understand them, because they are not bound by fixed moves, they often cannot predict their attack methods. As a result, throughout history, anyone who has fought against them has suffered a great loss!

For example, right now, A-Quan and Huo-Yan recognized some of the moves they were using, but they were encountering many of the attack methods that couldn't be considered moves for the first time!

If they had seen Xia You's Gengar fight in that playful way, they would have a clearer understanding of what kind of fighting style it was.

Fortunately, this time, Groudon and Kyogre's opponent is Deoxys, an extraterrestrial Pokémon from outer space.

Similarly, although some moves look exactly the same, Deoxys doesn't have the concept of 'moves' in its mind. Just like the energy balls and shields it used before, it doesn't use them according to a fixed pattern, but manipulates them at will!

This is also the biggest difference between these legendary Pokémon and ordinary Pokémon in the human world!
