"You're finally here!" Harley ran up to her breathlessly, her face flushed from running. "I started waiting half an hour early, and I almost thought you weren't coming!"

Vera raised an eyebrow slightly: "We didn't agree to ride together."

“But I said I’d see you when school starts!” Harley said matter-of-factly, while frantically adjusting her slipping glasses. “Besides, we’re friends, aren’t we?”

Before Vera could respond, Harley had already started pushing her wheelchair: "I'll push you in! This platform is too crowded. I just saw some older students almost bump into people. It was dangerous!"

The moment she felt the propulsion, Vera instinctively gripped the handrail, but then she immediately sensed the difference between Harley and Kreacher.

The girl behind her was a little awkward, but surprisingly steady, and didn't make her feel uncomfortable.

"Where's your luggage?" Harley asked, pushing her through the crowd while looking around curiously.

“In the extended space of the wheelchair,” Vera replied briefly.

Harley's green eyes widened immediately: "Wow! That's so cool!"

She bent down and examined the wheelchair armrest closely, her nose almost touching the metal parts. "This looks much more convenient than a regular box."

Vera subtly shifted to the side, creating a small distance: "Just some petty tricks."

“This is no small trick!” Harley straightened up and pushed her forward. “I bet you’re the only one on the whole platform who came up with this idea!”

Vera tilted her head slightly, looking into Harley's sparkling eyes, and was momentarily lost in thought.

The girl seemed to be full of curiosity and enthusiasm for everything in the magical world, like a dry sponge greedily absorbing all the moisture.

From a plot perspective, this is good; curiosity makes one more suited for adventure.

Soon, the two found an empty carriage.

Harry struggled to stuff the luggage into the carriage, then turned around, hesitated for a moment when looking at Vera, blushed and asked softly, "Do you need me to carry you up?"

Vera shook her head and pulled her wand from the armrest of her wheelchair: "I can do it myself."

She softly chanted the levitation spell, and her body, lifted by magic, gracefully rose into the carriage and landed steadily on the seat.

Knox nimbly jumped into his seat and called out to Harley as he turned around.

Harley's eyes widened even more, and she quickly sat down next to Vera: "Wow! You can use magic even before you've started formal classes?"

Vera put her wand back into her sleeve: "Just a basic spell."

“That’s amazing!” Harley said excitedly. “You know, when I was at my aunt’s house, I couldn’t even mention the word ‘magic’.”

Her voice suddenly lowered, her fingers unconsciously tracing the tape on her old glasses frame. "They always say I'm a freak... that my parents died in a drunk driving accident..."

Vera's gaze fell on Harley's thin, frail wrists, a result of long-term malnutrition.

Unconsciously, she began to seriously consider for the first time what kind of childhood the savior of this world had.

“Now you know,” Vera said softly, “they are heroes.”

Harley looked up, her green eyes sparkling with a clear light. She grasped Vera's hand in return and nodded firmly. "Yes! Thank you, Vera!"

Vera paused for a moment, then subtly tried to pull her hand away.

But it wasn't pulled out.

The savior's strength... is quite great.

Vera thought silently as she looked at the increasingly sparse crowd on the platform.

Chapter Fifteen: The New Iron Triangle

As the Hogwarts Express whistle blew, the train slowly started moving, and the scenery outside the window began to flow by.

Harley finally let go of Vera's hand and excitedly rushed to the window, her nose almost touching the glass.

"Look! London is receding!" she exclaimed like a child riding a train for the first time.

Vera watched Harry's retreating figure, and the corners of her mouth unconsciously turned up.

Knox yawned on her lap and stretched lazily.

Just then, the carriage door was gently pushed open, and a girl with brown curly hair stood in the doorway, her bright eyes scanning the carriage: "Hello, are there any seats available here? All the other carriages are full."

Vera looked up at the girl in the doorway—thick brown curly hair, bright brown eyes, and those distinctive, somewhat cute front teeth.

Hermione Granger, one of the original trio, was standing at the door with several books in her arms.

"Is everything alright?" Harley immediately looked at Vera.

After receiving Vera's tacit nod, she immediately got up enthusiastically and began to help Hermione move her things in.

Hermione's eyes flashed with surprise when she saw Vera's wheelchair, but she quickly resumed her polite smile: "Thank you! I am Hermione Granger."

“Harley Potter.” Harley held out her hand and pointed to Vera beside her. “This is Vera Black.”

“Is it really you?” Hermione’s eyes widened. “I know everything about you! You’re mentioned in books like ‘A History of Modern Magic,’ ‘The Rise and Fall of Dark Magic,’ and ‘Important Magical Events of the Twentieth Century.’”

Harley awkwardly adjusted her glasses, her cheeks slightly flushed. "Uh... really? I don't actually know much about these things..."

Hermione immediately launched into a long and detailed account of all the legends about Harley, while Vera sat quietly to the side, observing this future academic star with detached composure.

As she expected, Hermione's thirst for knowledge was indeed as strong as described in the original book, and her attitude was also quite friendly.

“Oh, right!” Hermione turned to Vera curiously, “Are you Black? Are you from the Black family? Your family is mentioned in the Pureblood Register.”

Vera looked at her with interest: "You've even read books like this? That's impressive."

Hermione's face flushed slightly: "After receiving my acceptance letter, I read every spellbook I could find. The Pureblood Register is a bit... outdated, but it does contain a lot of useful historical information."

Knox suddenly jumped off Vera's lap onto the table and sniffed the books Hermione had brought with curiosity.

Hermione's eyes widened in surprise: "Is this your cat? It's so beautiful!"

“Its name is Knox,” Vera said, gently stroking its head. “It has some cat-raccoon blood.”

"Catfish!" Hermione excitedly pulled out a copy of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," quickly flipping to a page. "The book says they can recognize suspicious people and are very intelligent magical creatures!"

"Really? Let me see!" Harley hurried over to look at the book, the two girls' heads almost touching.

Vera watched this scene with great interest—it seemed that even in this world, some destinies were predetermined.

Just then, the carriage door was pushed open again.

"I heard the Savior is in this carriage—" Draco Malfoy's arrogant voice trailed off, his expression clearly showing surprise upon seeing Vera. "Vera? What are you doing here?"

His gaze swept over Harley and Hermione, and he curled his lip: "Still with these... people?"

Harley immediately straightened her back, her green eyes fixed warily on Draco: "It's you again."

Hermione looked at both of them, puzzled: "You know each other?"

“Hmm,” Vera replied calmly, her fingers gently stroking Knox’s fur. “Is there something you need, Draco?”

Draco's expression was somewhat stiff, and his two henchmen, Crabbe and Goyle, blocked the doorway like two small mountains.

“My father sent me…to say hello,” he said reluctantly, his gaze lingering on Harley for a moment. “But it seems you’ve found a companion.”

Harley frowned: "Vera doesn't need you to tell her what to do."

Draco's face darkened: "Potter, you'd better know who you're talking to!"

“Cousin Draco,” Vera interrupted softly, looking at him calmly, “want to cause trouble on the first day of school?”

Draco opened his mouth, seemingly wanting to say something, but under Vera's gaze, he ultimately just snorted and turned to leave with his two henchmen.

A moment of silence fell over the carriage.

Hermione looked at Vera curiously: "Cousin? You two are related?"

“A distant relative,” Vera replied briefly, not wanting to dwell on the topic any longer.

Harley huffed and puffed as she sat back down in her seat: "That Malfoy is so annoying! How dare he talk to me like that?"

Suddenly remembering something, she quickly leaned closer to Vera and asked in a low voice, "Is he holding a grudge against you because of what happened at Madam Malkin's shop last time? Do you want me to teach him a lesson for you?"

Vera looked at Harley's serious expression and couldn't help but chuckle. "No need, I can handle it."

Hermione's eyes darted back and forth between the two, keenly sensing something she didn't know, and she couldn't help but ask, "You knew each other before?"

Harry immediately began to recount their encounter in Diagon Alley with great enthusiasm, making Hermione's eyes light up.

Just then, the carriage door was pushed open again.

A red-haired boy with freckles poked his head in: "Have you seen a toad? Neville's pet has run away again—"

His gaze fell on Harley, and his eyes suddenly widened: "Oh my god! Harley! We just met on the platform, I'm Ron Weasley!"

Harley waved her hand in a friendly gesture. "Of course I remember, Ron. We didn't see the toad... Shall we come in and look?"

Ron's gaze swept across the carriage, and he paused noticeably when he saw Vera, especially after noticing her wheelchair; his expression became somewhat uneasy.

"Uh... thank you." He scratched his head and carefully stepped into the carriage. "I hope I won't disturb you."

Hermione immediately showed her usual helpfulness: "We can help you look! Where do toads usually hide?"

Ron shrugged. "Who knows? Neville's toads are always running around."

Knox suddenly jumped off Vera's lap, strolled gracefully to Ron's feet, and sniffed his trouser leg.

"Wow!" Ron took a step back in surprise. "Is this your cat? It's...so beautiful."

“Its name is Knox,” Vera said softly. “It has cat-raccoon blood; perhaps it can help find the toad.”

As if he understood her words, Knox's ears twitched, and he turned and crawled under the seat.

A few seconds later, a panicked "Caw!" rang out from inside the carriage.

Chapter Sixteen: Just Spoil Her

With the help of the cat team, the toad croaked.

"Found it!" Harley exclaimed in surprise, kneeling down to look under the seat. "It really is there!"

Ron quickly lay down and clumsily grabbed the struggling toad: "Rafer! Don't run away!"

After a period of chaos, Ron finally stood up, his clothes covered in dust.

"Thank you!" he said, carefully cradling the toad. "Neville will be very happy."

Hermione smiled and took credit for Knox's work: "It's all thanks to Knox!"

Ron looked at Knox with a hint of envy in his eyes: "It's really amazing... much better than my Scabbers."

As he spoke, he pulled a sickly-looking mouse out of his pocket. "Look, all it does is sleep all day."

Knox suddenly pricked up his ears, his amber eyes fixed on the mouse, his tail standing dangerously upright, and his body slightly arched, as if he had his eyes on his prey.

Vera noticed the change keenly and called out softly, "Knox, come here."

Knox reluctantly returned to her side, but his eyes remained fixed on the mouse in Ron's hand.

Ron seemed oblivious to this detail, continuing to recount the "glorious history" of his pet, Scabbers: "...it's been with us for eleven years. It used to be my brother Percy's pet, and now it's mine..."

Hermione's eyes widened in surprise: "Eleven years? Ordinary mice don't live that long!"

Ron shrugged. "Mom said it might have eaten some kind of magical food."

Vera glanced at the mouse, then gently stroked Knox's fur with her fingers, gradually calming it down.

Soon, a round-faced boy timidly peeked in: "Ron? Have you found Leif?"

“Here it is, Neville!” Ron held up the toad in his hand. “Thanks to this clever cat.”

Neville's face immediately lit up with a relieved smile: "Thank you so much! I've searched all six carriages..."

His gaze swept over the people in the carriage, and he paused noticeably when he saw Harley, then noticed Vera's wheelchair, and his expression became even more tense.

“Uh… hello, I’m Neville Longbottom,” he introduced himself quietly.

Hermione greeted him warmly and also introduced Vera and Harley.

What was unexpected was that Neville was initially excited, just like Ron, when he heard Harry Potter, but his face suddenly turned pale when he heard Vera's last name.

“B-Blake?” He instinctively took a step back, his lips trembling slightly. “My grandmother said… the one who got locked up in Azkaban…”

He suddenly stopped speaking, and his face turned even paler.

The atmosphere inside the carriage instantly became somewhat heavy.

Vera's eyelashes trembled slightly. She remembered that Neville's parents had been driven insane by Bella's Cruciatus Curse.

Add to that Sirius Black still in jail, and her adoptive father Regulus…

If Voldemort were still alive, he would practically be a standard Death Eater trainee.
