“So,” Hermione put down her spoon and finally spoke, her voice so calm it betrayed no emotion, “Professor Kronos, how should we address you from now on?”
Sera looked up at her, a faint smile curving her lips: "I'm no longer a professor, just call me by my name."
Hermione nodded slightly and did not ask any further questions.
Harry looked up from her soup bowl, a few crumbs still clinging to the corner of her mouth. Her green eyes darted back and forth between Sera and Vera, as if she wanted to say something but hesitated.
“Say what you want to say.” Sera picked up her teacup, took a sip, and spoke casually.
Harry hesitated for a moment, then spoke up: "So... will you stay at Hogwarts from now on?"
“Yes.” Sera put down her teacup, her gaze falling on Vera’s face before shifting away. “But for now, I have no plans to leave.”
Harley nodded, glanced at Vera instinctively, and then lowered her head again.
The silence continued until Vera finally put down her fork, her gaze sweeping over the three faces, a sudden headache forming in her eyes.
“I have a suggestion.” She cleared her throat, drawing everyone’s attention. “Now that everything is settled, let’s go on a trip together during the summer vacation.”
Since we'll have to face this eventually anyway, we might as well let them get to know each other in this way first.
Harley immediately looked up, her green eyes lighting up: "Really? Where to?"
"I haven't decided yet." Vera smiled slightly. "However, we can discuss it together."
Hermione put down her spoon, a faint smile playing in her brown eyes: "As long as it's not too dangerous, I'm fine with anything."
Sera shrugged. "I have no objection."
The firelight flickered, illuminating Sera's slightly upturned lips as she spoke.
Harley poked at the fried egg on her plate, and couldn't help but mutter, "I want to go to the beach," before Hermione quietly stuffed a piece of bread into her mouth to shut her up.
Vera looked at them, watching the warm light cast their four shadows on the wall, overlapping and separating, before belatedly realizing that the room had never been so lively.
"Then it's settled." She picked up her cup, which contained hot tea that Sera had poured at some point. "We'll do it together this summer."
The four cups gently tapped together, making a crisp sound.
The night outside the window had completely fallen. The spires of Hogwarts were bathed in starlight, the surface of the Black Lake shimmered with tiny lights, and the distant Forbidden Forest occasionally echoed with the long calls of animals.
After dinner, Sera stood up and casually cleared the table with a wave of her wand.
She wanted to say something more to Vera, but Hermione had already walked over and stood next to Vera, naturally taking her arm.
"It's time to go back," she said, her gaze falling on the night outside the window. "I have class tomorrow."
Vera hesitated for a moment, but when she saw Sera nod gently at her, she pursed her lips and said, "Then we'll head back now."
Harley slowly stood up, paused as she passed Sierra, looked up, and stared intently at her with her green eyes: "Well... please take care of me from now on."
Sera paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "Mm."
After Harley finished speaking, she quickly walked out with Hermione, leaving Vera at the very back. As she left, she didn't forget to look back one last time.
Sera was still standing by the table, nodding slightly at her, the curve of her lips subtle yet unmistakable.
"Goodnight." Vera silently mouthed the words before turning and closing the door.
The corridor was quiet, with only the sound of the three people's footsteps echoing softly on the stone wall.
As Harry walked beside Vera, she kept glancing at her unconsciously. After walking for a while, she couldn't help but ask, "Vera, when did you and her... start?"
Upon hearing this, Hermione silently slowed her pace and walked alongside them.
Vera thought for a moment, then her gaze fell on the arched window at the end of the corridor, where starlight flowed slowly along the window frame.
“A long time ago,” she said softly. “Would you like me to tell you?”
“I don’t want to hear it,” Harley said, turning her head away, her voice muffled.
But the next second, Hermione's voice rang out: "I want to hear it."
Harley paused, and as soon as she turned her head, she heard Hermione explain, "I want to know because I want to know what you went through in the past, not for anything else."
Harley opened her mouth, then swallowed the words that were about to come out. Her green eyes lingered on Vera's face for a moment, then she turned her face away and muttered softly:
"...Fine, I'll listen too. You have to tell me everything from the beginning, without omitting a single word! Otherwise... Hermione and I will... we'll punish you together!"
Vera couldn't help but chuckle, just as she felt her sleeve being tugged.
She turned her head in surprise and met Hermione's serious expression, who even nodded at her.
Oh no, it looks like I'm in for a lot of punishment tonight.
Vera felt a tightness in her chest, but then she smiled and pulled the two of them closer to her: "Okay, I'll tell you the story slowly, starting from... a Christmas Eve many years ago."
The night is still long, and they have many more stories to hear and many more things to do.

Author's Closing Remarks
现在是2026年4月7日晚上22时44分,我写完了第七本完结书!
Finish spreading flowers!
The two Harry Potter books are my best-written works, and I've been reading Harry Potter since I was a child, so I have a deep affection for the series.
The book before that, the one about Kate, was my first time writing a harem novel, which resulted in poorly written romance scenes and a lot of criticism.
So later I wrote a story about a girl band to practice.
The good news is that I'm not so bad at handling romance anymore, but the bad news is that this improvement has led to a lot of detailed descriptions of romance in the book, which has slowed down the pace somewhat...
For my next book, I'll definitely pay more attention! I'll make sure to balance the romance, the main plot, and the characters' development, and try my best to avoid a repeat of this book's situation!
Okay, regarding the characterization of Vera, I initially only had the idea of a sickly and beautiful girl. The character design was improved as I wrote, including the storyline, which was all developed and refined as I went along.
To prevent the harem from expanding like before, I decided from the beginning that there would only be three people. I wonder what you all think?
Actually, compared to my other characters, Vera is a relatively decisive type. At least she thinks a lot, but once she makes a decision, she will execute it immediately and will not hesitate any longer.
Sigh, I seem to really enjoy writing about ambiguity... I'll try to tone it down next time.
Thank you all for your support and understanding. I will continue to improve in my next book!
I haven't written the extra chapter for the previous vote yet, haha... I'll write it when I have time later; it'll probably be about my pregnancy.
