The violent energy rushed towards us, like countless sharp wills roaring and colliding; an ordinary person would lose their mind if they took one step closer.
As Vera approached step by step, the bricks beneath her feet began to glow slightly, and golden patterns spread across the ground, forming a gentle barrier that enveloped her and kept the violent forces away from her.
Sure enough, the will of Hogwarts was fully awakened the moment she stepped into the core of the vault, and it was now steadily protecting her.
Vera stopped in front of the surging energy and took a deep breath.
Those mixed emotional energies mingled together, forming a vortex powerful enough to devour everything.
She slowly closed her eyes, held her wand horizontally in front of her chest, and gently stroked the wand with her fingertips. The magical circuits within her body stretched out, like countless fine veins spreading across her body, resonating with the golden patterns of Hogwarts.
"Let's begin."
She murmured to herself, slowly closed her eyes, and stretched out her hands.
Magic flowed from her palm, merging with the will of Hogwarts to form a fine yet resilient net that gently contained the massive, complex mass of dark purple energy.
The moment the restrictions were lifted, a violent force surged toward her like a flood bursting its banks!
Vera shuddered, cold sweat instantly beading on her forehead, but she didn't take a single step back.
Following the method of magical transformation, she disassembled the incoming energy layer by layer, removing the violent and chaotic parts, leaving only the purest source of power, and gradually incorporated it into her magical circuits.
Sera stood not far away, gripping her wand tightly, her crimson eyes fixed on the figure, her breathing barely touching the surface.
If Vera loses her balance even slightly, she will rush over without hesitation, even if it means forcibly interrupting the process, to bring her back.
But the girl in front of him was unusually calm.
Golden light and dark purple aura intertwined and swirled around her, and the violent energy gradually calmed in her hands, like a tamed beast, flowing into her body little by little along her magical circuits.
500...1000...2500...
The experience points were jumping wildly on the panel, climbing rapidly.
The barrier of the magic circuit trembled slightly under the impact of the enormous energy, and the originally taut boundary began to loosen. In just a few breaths, it easily broke through that invisible barrier.
[Magic Circuit Level: Beyond? Intermediate (6733/10000)]
The moment she leveled up, a magical power far more refined and vast than before exploded within her body, making her feel as if her limbs and bones were being soaked in warm water, and even her soul felt relaxed.
Vera slowly opened her eyes, a fleeting golden gleam flashing in her dark pupils.
The churning, dark purple energy in the center of the secret vault had shrunk to the size of a volleyball. She had almost completely absorbed its energy, leaving only purer negative emotions that emitted a nauseating stench, as sticky and heavy as rotting sludge.
Vera frowned. These were pure malice and madness that she had filtered out, and they would be difficult to transform in a short time, let alone integrate into her magic circuits.
Fortunately, such things, apart from corrupting one's will, are no longer coveted.
Sera also sensed something was wrong, and subconsciously took half a step forward, her wand taut in her palm: "Don't touch the rest, just get rid of them."
Vera glanced back at her, shook her head slightly, but a relaxed smile appeared on her lips. "Don't be so nervous, I have a way."
She raised her hand, no longer trying to absorb it, but instead fully activated the will of Hogwarts. Golden patterns spread wildly along the ground, instantly binding the filthy negative energy tightly.
"Condensing Form and Creating Source".
The wand was gently waved in mid-air, and several golden threads appeared out of thin air, carrying a faint halo.
Upgrading to the intermediate level of Condensed Creation Source allows one to create any magical item at will.
The threads Vera created this time were specifically designed to target these negative energies, woven in accordance with her own principles of transforming magic.
Under Vera's command, the golden threads coiled around the filthy negative energy as if they were alive, wrapping it up layer by layer.
The pure malice struggled violently the moment it touched the silk thread, as if it were being scorched by a raging fire, yet it was helplessly broken down and transformed little by little.
“The energy from this decomposition will directly feed back into the entire Hogwarts,” Vera said with satisfaction as she watched the scene unfold. “However, this process will take a long time, and during this period, we still need to strengthen our vigilance over the vault.”
Sera walked to her side, naturally put her arm around her waist, and gently brushed her slightly sweaty forehead with her fingertips, her tone filled with undisguised concern: "You must be exhausted."
"It's alright." Vera leaned against her chest, feeling the surge of magic power within her and the unobstructed circuits, feeling exceptionally cheerful. "Another breakthrough, I'm so happy."
Her magic circuit level jumped directly to the Beyond level, and her self-created spell, Eternal Night, should also improve significantly.
Sera looked down at the bright light in her eyes, feeling somewhat helpless but mostly relieved. "It's good that you're alright."
Vera tilted her head back and gently nuzzled her chin, a satisfied smile on her face: "Now it's all right, the Vault is completely safe, no one will bother with it anymore, and Hogwarts can finally take a good rest."
As soon as she finished speaking, several lines of text flashed before her eyes:
[Mission complete, Hogwarts' approval rating increased by 9%]
[Hogwarts' current approval rating: 99%]
Vera was taken aback. How come there's still a 1% short?
Can this really cause the progress bar to freeze?
Or is there some other task waiting for me?
She waited for a long time, but did not receive any further news about the castle.
"What are you thinking about?" Sera asked gently, noticing her puzzled expression.
Vera snapped out of her daze, smiled gently, turned around and hugged Sera, burying her face in the crook of her neck: "Mission accomplished."
"Hmm, anything else?"
"I've received the reward too."
"Besides this?" Sera tried to coax her.
“Then…” Vera tilted her head slightly, her dark eyes curving into crescents, “we can go and fulfill our promise to go on the trip now!”
Sera finally smiled with satisfaction, lowered his head and placed a light kiss on the corner of her lips, his voice gentle and light: "I've been waiting for you to say that, my dear girlfriend."
Although she is good at waiting, she still prefers waiting for the reward that follows.

Chapter Twenty-Seven: Sera Eats
Unsurprisingly, the destination for the trip was Athens.
It wasn't just because the Blake family owned a villa here; there was something else even more important.
"The Acropolis...you're saying this stone you got came from the Parthenon?"
Seated peacefully on the terrace facing the sea, Sera had changed into Muggle clothes. A light beige trench coat made her skin appear even whiter, adding a touch of everyday gentleness.
Vera leaned against her, looking at the deep night before them, toying with the stone between her fingers: "Well, during my first year summer vacation, I spent some time in Athens and discovered that there was a will similar to Hogwarts in the Parthenon."
The difference lies in the fact that Hogwarts is clearly more humane, while the consciousness in the temple barely responds to her.
“This stone is indeed unusual.” Sera looked thoughtfully at the finger she was playing with. “When you transformed the Dementor before, was it this that absorbed the Dementor’s energy?”
Vera nodded. Not only that, but also during the battle against the basilisk, if the stone hadn't suddenly fallen, she probably would have died.
As for what that blurry silhouette that appeared behind her at the crucial moment was... although she had guessed it back then, she still dared not be completely sure.
Having just absorbed the energy of the secret vault, although her foundation was still somewhat unstable, she was at an unprecedented peak. Coupled with being with Sera, this gave her the idea of coming to Athens once again.
“In that case, let’s go and find out more tomorrow.” Sera smiled, grabbed her hand, and gently pulled her into her arms. The sea breeze swept across the terrace, carrying a salty, warm feeling, and intertwined their hair.
“Anyway, the holiday is still long,” she said, lowering her head to rub Vera’s forehead. “No matter what’s hidden in that temple, I’ll go with you.”
Vera tilted her head back and met those tender, crimson eyes. Her heart stirred slightly, and she instinctively wanted to get closer, but Sera quickly pressed her index finger against her lips.
She was taken aback, and then saw a bright smile in Sera's eyes. "You've absorbed so much energy today, can your body handle it?"
What do you mean?
Vera didn't react for a moment, and instinctively replied, "Of course!"
Sera chuckled softly, amused by her eagerness to prove herself, and lightly brushed her lower lip with her fingertip, her tone carrying a hint of ambiguity:
"Really? Then don't call it off later."
The moment she finished speaking, she leaned down and covered those lips, which still carried the coolness of the sea breeze.
The kiss was no longer as gentle and restrained as before; it was filled with endless tenderness and undisguised possessiveness, slowly prying open Vera's teeth and taking away all the words she hadn't spoken.
Vera frowned, instinctively clutching the hem of her clothes, her body trembling slightly, yet she stubbornly refused to back down an inch.
The magic within her body, not yet fully subsided, stirred gently with her heartbeat, intertwining with the warmth between her lips and teeth, making her dizzy.
The sea breeze, carrying the night, swept across the terrace, while the waves gently lapped against the beach in the distance. Vera, however, was gradually being overwhelmed by the person on top of her, and could only passively endure this tenderness that carried a predatory connotation.
Only when her breath was almost completely taken away did Sera step back slightly, her forehead touching hers, her fingertips gently caressing the corners of her reddened lips, her breathing slightly heavy, her eyes surging with lingering passion and desire.
"Can you still hold on?" Her voice was low and alluring, with a hint of deliberate teasing.
Vera was panting, her cheeks burning, but she still stubbornly reached out and hooked her arm around her neck, leaning in to gently bite her lower lip, her voice still hoarse:
"What... can't be withstood?"
Before she could finish speaking, her lips were sealed again.
The warm sea breeze of the night carried away the sounds of breathing that mingled on the terrace, scattering them into the darkness.
Vera couldn't remember how she was brought back to the bedroom from the terrace; she only remembered that those hands held her steadily, their palms burning hot, as if they wanted to burn a hole in her soul.
Sera's kisses traveled down her lips, across her jaw and neck, lingering on her collarbone for a long time, leaving fine red marks.
Vera tilted her head back, burying her fingers deep in her long, gray hair, and gasped for breath.
"Slow down, slow down..." She finally couldn't hold back, her voice as soft as sand soaked by seawater.
Sera lifted her head from her chest, her crimson eyes appearing exceptionally deep in the dim light of the wall lamp, her lips redder than usual, glistening with moisture, as if she had just tasted something delicious.
"Didn't you say you could handle it?" Her voice was low and husky, with a hint of satisfied laughter, but her fingertips were still slowly tracing Vera's waist, sending a shiver down her spine.
Vera was speechless at her words and could only turn her face away, burying her burning cheeks in the pillow.
Sera chuckled softly, leaned down and kissed Vera's red earlobe. The touch was as gentle as a feather brushing against her, yet it made Vera's body tense even more.
"Don't hide." Sera's voice was close to her ear, her warm breath brushing against her sensitive skin. "I want to look at you."
Vera bit her lip and slowly turned her face. Her dark eyes were filled with tears, shining brightly in the dim light, like starlight that had been shattered.
Sera looked at her, a surge of emotion welling up in his eyes for a moment, then lowered his head and kissed her eyelashes very gently and slowly.
“My Vera,” she whispered, her voice as soft as a sigh, “finally…”
She didn't finish speaking, but Vera understood.
Finally, I don't have to wait anymore. Finally, I can hold her in my arms legitimately. Finally, I can make up for all the days and nights I missed over the years, little by little.
Vera raised her hand, her fingertips gently tracing her brow bone, the bridge of her nose, and finally resting on her lips.
“Sera,” she whispered, as if confirming something, or as if declaring something, “you are mine.”
Sera took her hand, turned it over, and kissed her palm.
“It always has been,” she said, her tone as certain as if stating an eternal truth.
From the age of six to sixteen, and now, she has long been captivated by Vera.
The sound of waves crashing against the rocks outside the window was like the breathing of this ancient city as it slept.
The glow of the wall lamp enveloped them, casting two overlapping shadows onto the snow-white wall, like a gentle silhouette.
The night felt both long and short.
As night deepened, Vera groggily woke up and turned to look at Sera, who was already asleep beside her.
Moonlight filtered through the gaps in the curtains, casting a thin silver line across her face.
She looked much younger when she was asleep than during the day, with relaxed eyebrows and a slight curve to her lips, as if she were having a sweet dream.
Wei stretched out her hand, her fingertips gently tracing her contours, from her brow bone to the bridge of her nose, from the bridge of her nose to the peak of her lips, her movements so light as if afraid of disturbing something.
Sera unconsciously rubbed against her palm in her sleep, like a docile big cat.
Vera smiled, withdrew her hand, snuggled closer to her, and closed her eyes.
Tomorrow, they will have a whole day.
The day after tomorrow too.
Every day from now on will be the same.
……
The result of her indulgence the night before was that Vera was practically woken up by the sun the next day.
What's worse, when she woke up, she felt sore and weak all over, as if her whole body had been thoroughly massaged, and even lifting her fingertips felt heavy.
