"Wherever people are, Doro will be there!"
When Horus's rebellion was quelled, Doro looked at the emperor, who sat slumped on the golden throne, silent as a corpse. Holding the oranges in her hands, she smiled and said, "Human, these are Eurynji, my favorite. I saved some of the sweetest ones for you. Human, why aren't you saying anything?"
Chapter Fifty-Five: They Made Up
Hermione was speaking when she suddenly remembered something and pulled a mint hard candy from her pocket: "Here, I got it from the Great Hall. Eating something sweet makes me feel much better when I'm in a bad mood."
Vera took the candy, her fingertips accidentally touching Hermione's warm palm, causing Hermione to instinctively curl her fingers, then quickly pull her hand back before Vera could look up.
Somewhat confused, Vera blinked. She didn't understand what Vera was doing, but she didn't ask any questions. She simply said "thank you" and put the candy in her mouth. The sweet minty flavor spread on her tongue.
"Hmm..." Hermione nodded, then quickly sat up. "I... I remembered I still have homework to finish. Do you want to... join me?"
Seeing her somewhat uneasy expression, Vera thought for a moment and said, "No, I'll just sunbathe here for a while."
“Okay.” Hermione nodded, turned to leave, but couldn’t help turning back to remind her, “Don’t stay too long, it’ll get colder tonight.”
Vera smiled slightly: "I understand, thank you."
After watching Hermione leave, Vera turned back to the lake, her mood much calmer.
As the sun set, she finally made up her mind to go back and see Harley.
As the sun sets, golden ripples spread across the lake, and the edge of the forbidden forest in the distance is already shrouded in twilight.
She pushed her wheelchair to return to the castle, but as she turned around, she saw a familiar figure standing not far away—
It was Harley. She was holding a package and stood there nervously, her green eyes gleaming anxiously in the setting sun.
“Vera!” Harley stopped breathlessly in front of her, her eyes filled with anxiety. “I…I’ve been looking for you for so long…”
Vera stopped her wheelchair and looked at the way her eyes reflected the light and shadow in the sunset, and was momentarily lost in thought.
Then, she looked at the package in Harley's arms and asked calmly, "What's that?"
Harley bit her lip and handed over what she was holding: "This is for you!"
Vera took the package and gently opened it—inside was a somewhat simple astrolabe model, about the size of two palms, with the Vela constellation shimmering in the sunset.
A line of small, slightly crooked words is engraved on the base: "To Vera, may your stars shine forever."
Vera was stunned. She gently touched the star chart with her finger, and the pattern of Vela immediately lit up with a soft blue light, which looked particularly beautiful in the twilight.
“I know your name comes from the constellation Vela,” Harley’s voice trembled slightly. “I made this model especially for you. It’s not perfect yet, but you…you can use it as a nightlight!”
Vera's fingers gently traced the smooth surface of the star chart, her long eyelashes drooping slightly, concealing the emotions in her eyes.
Harley couldn't see her expression, so she mustered her courage and continued, "I'm sorry, Vera! I shouldn't have said that this morning..."
Vera looked up at Harley's reddened eyes and tightly pursed lips, and the little resentment she had left completely vanished.
“No, I was wrong too,” she said softly. “I left without saying goodbye, making you all worry so much.”
Harley shook her head, then suddenly squatted down to meet Vera's gaze in the wheelchair. "No, I spoke without thinking... I always thought about protecting you, but I forgot that you don't like being treated specially. Even if I wanted to care about you, I should have chosen a more appropriate approach!"
Vera was slightly taken aback, not expecting Harley to say such a thing.
“I promise I won’t do it again,” Harley said earnestly, her green eyes brimming with sincerity. “So… let’s not have a cold war anymore, okay?”
As she spoke, she reached out her hand to Wei: "Let's make up."
Vera looked at Harley's outstretched hand, and the corners of her mouth unconsciously turned up slightly.
She gently grasped that hand, and when she felt the warmth from the other person's palm, it was as if she had grasped something psychologically secure.
My anxious heart immediately calmed down.
"Okay," she replied softly.
Harley's eyes lit up instantly, as if stars had fallen into them.
She hugged Vera tightly, burying her face in her shoulder: "That's great! I thought you were really going to stay angry with me forever!"
Vera was caught off guard by the sudden hug, but she quickly relaxed and gently patted Halle's back: "Actually, I'm not angry."
"Huh?" Harley blinked, bewildered. "Then why..."
“I just need some time to think,” Vera explained softly, “about…myself.”
Harley looked at her, seemingly understanding but not quite, unsure of what to say.
Vera looked at Harley's confused expression and gently shook her head: "It's nothing, I've figured it out."
Since she was fortunate enough to come here after death, all the events of her previous life became fleeting memories when she awoke from this body.
Dwelling on her past health is pointless; she should focus on everything she can have now.
Although Harley didn't quite understand what Vera meant, seeing her relieved expression, she smiled too: "That's good! Don't forget, we're best friends. We can solve any problems together."
Vera felt a warm current surge in her heart as she looked at Harley's radiant smile.
She nodded gently, then looked at the gift in her hand again. "This horoscope... how did you make it?"
Harley scratched her head sheepishly: "I went to the library and found a star chart. It was drawn on parchment and had an illumination spell cast on it. I also carved the base myself... although it's a little crooked."
Vera gently traced the crooked handwriting with her fingers and smiled, "Thank you, I like it very much."
Harley's face flushed slightly at her confirmation: "Really? I was worried it would be too simple..."
“No, it’s already very good,” Vera said softly, carefully tucking the astrolabe into the extended space at the bottom of her wheelchair. “Let’s go back, it’s getting dark.”
Harley nodded and offered to push the wheelchair: "I'll help you!"
This time, Vera did not refuse her kindness.
The two walked slowly along the lakeside path toward the castle, their shadows stretched long by the setting sun.
“Vera,” Harley suddenly spoke up, “If you want to go anywhere in the future, can you tell me? I won’t bother you, I just… want to know if you’re safe.”
Vera was silent for a moment, then nodded gently: "Okay."
A smile immediately bloomed on Harley's face, her green eyes sparkling in the twilight.
When the two returned to the Gryffindor Tower, Hermione was sitting in front of the fireplace in the common room, pretending to read a book, but actually glancing frequently at the entrance.
Seeing them return together, and with the atmosphere clearly easing, she visibly breathed a sigh of relief.
"You two made up?" she asked softly, closing the book.
Harley nodded vigorously, a bright smile spreading across her face: "Of course!"
Hermione looked at Vera, who nodded slightly, and a tacit understanding grew between them.
"Oh, right, Harley, Wood just came to see you. He said there's extra Quidditch practice tomorrow night," Hermione reminded her, pretending to have just remembered.
Harley sighed, "Not again? I'm exhausted..."
Hermione looked at her exaggerated expression with amusement: "Who told you to be Gryffindor's secret weapon~"
Harley chuckled and then said, "Actually, flying feels really great, Hermione. You should really try flying longer next time."
“No need for that,” Hermione’s lips twitched, and she shifted to the side. “Whatever makes you happy.”
“Well…” Vera hesitated for a moment, then said softly, “Next time you have time, take me flying around too.”
Harley's eyes lit up instantly: "Really? I mean... of course!"
Seeing her excited expression, Vera couldn't help but smile.
Hermione shook her head helplessly, a smile unconsciously creeping onto her lips.

Chapter Fifty-Six: The New Broom
And so I spent my first weekend at Hogwarts.
As the second week progressed, the new students gradually got used to this routine.
Of course, in the world of magic, a surprise can appear out of nowhere at any time.
For example, right now... everyone in the auditorium was captivated by the slender package carried by six long-eared owls in mid-air.
Soon, under everyone's watchful eyes, several owls swooped down and landed right in front of Harley.
"Why is a package being delivered so early in the morning?" Hermione put down her food and looked curiously at the strangely shaped package.
Harley shook her head. "I don't know, I've never received a package."
"Just open it and you'll see," Ron urged, curiously examining the package.
Just as Harley was about to open the package, she heard Vera cough lightly: "Harley, there's a letter next to the package."
Following her gaze, the group discovered a letter hidden beneath the package.
They hurriedly opened it and saw that the letter read: "Do not open the package on the table."
Inside is your new flying broomstick, Nimbus 2000. I don't want everyone to know you have a new broomstick, lest they all want one too.
Also, Oliver Wood will be waiting for you at the Quidditch Stadium tonight at 7 p.m.
Professor M. McGonagall.
"Nimbus 2000!" Harley exclaimed, then immediately covered her mouth, her green eyes gleaming with excitement. "Professor McGonagall gave it to me!"
Ron looked at the long, thin package with envy: "That's so cool! This is the latest model broom! I've never even touched a Seven Stars Broom..."
Vera gently patted Harley's shoulder: "Hurry up and put it away, don't let too many people see it."
"Okay!" Harley nodded, hurriedly putting the package on the ground, but many students had already noticed the commotion and looked over.
But Harley didn't care at all. She excitedly moved a few steps closer to Vera and whispered in her ear, "From now on, I can use this broom to carry you flying."
The girl's excited breath gently brushed against her earlobe, and Vera was slightly startled, subconsciously tilting her head, a barely perceptible blush rising on the tips of her ears.
"Mmm," she replied softly, as if nothing had happened.
"Remember to tell us how it feels after training tonight!" Ron said excitedly. "I bet it's much faster than the comet over there in Slytherin!"
Hermione frowned: "Keep your voices down... Malfoy is looking this way."
Vera glanced discreetly at the Slytherin table, only to meet Malfoy's gloomy gaze.
She raised an eyebrow slightly, and the other person immediately turned their face away, pretending to talk to Crabbe.
“Never mind it,” Harley said nonchalantly, her fingers lightly tracing the broom handle hidden underneath. “I can’t wait to try it out!”
“But class is about to start,” Vera calmly reminded her, taking a sip of milk. “Harley, I think you might have to put it in your dorm first and use it in the evening.”
Harry let out a disappointed "Ah," and reluctantly hugged the broom handle, touching it again and again. After a long while, she finally made up her mind and stood up. "Okay, I'll go put it away right now!"
As she spoke, she picked up her bundle and quickly left the Great Hall, leaving Vera, Hermione, and Ron looking at each other in bewilderment.
"She runs really fast," Ron exclaimed.
Hermione shook her head helplessly: "Hopefully she won't be late. The first lesson today is Transfiguration."
Vera gently put down her cup and pushed her wheelchair: "We should go too."
The three packed their things and headed towards the Transfiguration classroom.
The day's schedule was packed, with Transfiguration and Charms classes in the morning, and Herbalism and Defense Against the Dark Arts in the afternoon.
Sure enough, in the Transformation class, Harley was a little late in the morning and rushed into the classroom almost right on time.
“Miss Potter,” Professor McGonagall gave her a stern look, “please be on time next time.”
“Yes, Professor!” Harley blushed and ran to her seat.
Vera noticed that her hair was messier than usual, clearly because she hadn't had time to fix it in her haste.
While Harley hurriedly took out her book, she raised her hand and silently smoothed down Harley's unruly hair.
