After a while, Harley straightened up, looking a little embarrassed: "Then... you're not allowed to do that again! You have to tell me everything that happens, okay!"

Seeing her trying to appear strong despite her red eyes, Vera nodded obediently, a clear and gentle smile curving her lips.

"Okay," she agreed softly, "I'll tell you everything from now on."

Hearing her affirmative answer, Harley smiled and then carefully picked up the stack of letters as if they were some priceless treasure.

"Can I have these?" she asked softly, her eyes still glistening with tears.

“Of course,” Vera chuckled, “it was originally written for you.”

Harley immediately hugged the letter even tighter, as if it were a precious treasure.

“It’s settled then. From now on, we’ll share everything together!” Harley emphasized again, extending her little finger.

Vera's heart melted at her childlike gesture, and she extended her little finger and hooked it with hers earnestly.

The naive vows echoed in the ancient corridor, yet carried an air of profound solemnity.

Sunlight streamed through the high window, landing perfectly on their clasped fingers, warm and bright.

……

The days that followed seemed no different, yet they were different in every way.

Harley no longer felt anxious or uneasy about the closed training room door.

She knew that Vera was working hard inside to become stronger, and she herself also had a goal to catch up with.

She began to peruse the Black family's library more carefully—of course, those that Vera had selected as safe and harmless.

She discovered some interesting notes on the history of magic, and even found an old book about the evolution of Quidditch tactics, which she read with great interest.

Occasionally, she would sit on the carpet outside the training room with a book in her hand, reading while waiting for Vera to come out.

When Vera finished training and opened the door, exhausted, the first thing she would see was that fluffy black head looking up at her with bright green eyes, asking, "Finished? How was today?"

It's a wonderful feeling; it's as if no matter how arduous the process, seeing this scene at the end can quickly soothe all the hardships.

Vera would often pat her head and solemnly answer how she was feeling that day.

Sometimes, she would briefly share some of her training progress, such as being able to do one more kneeling push-up today, or that her physical fitness had improved slightly.

Harley always listened very attentively, and even if she didn't quite understand some of the terminology, she would try her best to comprehend it and then offer sincere praise and encouragement.

In the afternoon, sunlight streamed through the tall, narrow windows of the library, casting slanted beams of light into the dusty air.

Vera will continue her magical research and studies, and the profound ancient magical runes and complex magic circles often make Harley dizzy.

But she preferred to sit quietly to the side, reading her own book or doing her pre-grade homework. Occasionally, when she encountered a difficult problem, she would ask Vera for help.

As long as she could stay by Vera's side, even the most tedious homework seemed bearable to her.

More often than not, they would enter together the habitat within the magic scroll, a secret paradise that belonged only to them.

Lou Williams seems to have included Harley in his group of people who need protection, and he even occasionally rubs his huge head against her cautiously.

Although the force still often made Harley stumble.

Although Hemera would occasionally let out a few jealous sparks when Harley and Lou Williams played around, most of the time it was able to allow the big guy to share its territory.

Harley herself would ride a broomstick and fly over the vast habitat, feeling the freedom of the wind brushing through her hair.

She would race Hemera and try to throw the special frisbee to Ruwei's three heads, watching them clumsily and excitedly scramble for it, their laughter echoing across the grasslands and lakeside.

Vera sometimes joins in, but more often she sits on the sidelines, watching Harley play with the two magical creatures.

The sunlight in their habitat is always just right, warm but not scorching, and the air is filled with the fragrance of grass and earth, allowing them to completely relax.

On weekends, Vera would take Harley for walks around, helping her get acquainted with the area around Black's old house.

These fulfilling, peaceful days, filled with little surprises, always seem to fly by.

Before we knew it, August was already halfway over, and the new term notice and reading list for Hogwarts were delivered to Grimmauld Place by owls.

“…Gilderoy Lockhart?” Harley read the long list of authors with the same name on the books, her tone somewhat puzzled. “How come almost all the new textbooks are written by him? Is he that great?”

Vera took the book list, glanced at it, and her brows furrowed almost imperceptibly.

Gilderoy Lockhart…that conman who masquerades as a thief by stealing other people’s memories and achievements is a troublesome and superficial fellow.

If Voldemort hadn't cursed the position of Defence Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts, preventing any teacher from holding the position for more than a year, there would never have been a chance for such a fraudster to come to Hogwarts.

Dumbledore must have had no one else, so he grabbed this guy to make up the numbers, right?

"In some respects... I'm fairly well-known," Vera said calmly, handing the book list back to her.

Anyway, that guy wasn't harmful, and she couldn't be bothered to speak ill of him.

“We need to go to Diagon Alley,” she changed the subject, “to buy all these books, and you might also need to get a new school uniform.”

She noticed that Harley had grown taller, and last year's robe seemed a little short at the ankle.

“Okay!” Harley nodded immediately; she hadn’t been to Diagon Alley yet this summer.

So, on a sunny morning, Harley, dressed in her finest clothes, was invited by Kreacher to the fireplace in the living room.

Harley was stunned as she stared at the rising fire in front of her.

"What... what should I do?" she stammered, glancing instinctively at Vera, a hint of nervousness flashing in her emerald eyes.

Hmm... I forgot that Harley has never used Floo Powder.

Vera steered her wheelchair toward the small silver jar beside the fireplace and picked up a pinch of Floo Powder.

"Walk into the fireplace, clearly state your destination, and then throw the powder at your feet... Remember, your pronunciation must be clear."

She paused, looking at Harley's pale face, and added, "You might feel a little dizzy the first time, but it will be fine soon. I'll give you a demonstration."

She stepped into the emerald flames and clearly uttered, "Diagon Alley!"

She vanished instantly, enveloped in flames.

Harley nervously swallowed, and mimicking Vera, picked up a pinch of Floo Powder and stepped into the fireplace.

As the powder was sprinkled down, flames rose. She looked at Kreacher, who was standing guard by the fireplace, and in a panic, she opened her mouth and immediately inhaled a large mouthful of scalding hot ash.

“Yes, Diagon Alley!” she mumbled through a cough, then disappeared into the fireplace.

Kreacher's eyes widened suddenly.

It seems like it heard... Miss Potter mispronounce a place name?

Chapter Two: Who's being sarcastic? (6k bounty)

Meanwhile, Vera had already made her way into the Leaky Cauldron.

She quickly maneuvered her wheelchair to avoid other travelers who might appear behind her, and then waited for Harley to pass by.

However, several seconds passed, and Harley did not appear from the fireplace.

Logically speaking, while Feilu.com travel may occasionally experience minor delays, it shouldn't be this long.

An ominous premonition quietly gripped her.

Just then, accompanied by another explosion and a cloud of ash, Kreacher appeared at her feet in a panic:

"Miss! Something's wrong! Miss Potter—she, she called the wrong name! She went to Knockturn Alley!"

Flipped Alley?

Vera frowned suddenly; she had completely forgotten that this detail was also mentioned in the original story.

In the original story, Harry was picked up by Ron and taken to the Weasleys' house. When they arrived at Diagon Alley, Harry mispronounced the name of the place and was teleported by the Floo Network to Borginborough in Knockturn Alley.

Unfortunately, it was an antique shop that handled a lot of shady business and even sold items with black magic or other dangerous properties.

There, Harry even encountered the Malfoys, father and son, who were selling a number of dark magic items to avoid being caught by the Ministry of Magic, but they didn't notice.

“I understand,” Vera immediately turned her wheelchair, her voice tinged with urgency. “Kreacher, follow me.”

“Yes, Miss!” Kreacher replied immediately.

Without hesitation, Vera maneuvered her wheelchair and sped toward the dark side street that connected Diagon Alley and Knockdown Alley.

Driven by surging magic, the wheelchair sped almost silently. A barely perceptible golden light flickered deep within her black eyes as her magic circuits operated at full power, sensing the chaotic and chilling magical fluctuations ahead.

Upon entering the Overturning Alley, even the air seemed to thicken, filled with a strange medicinal smell and a certain rotten odor.

The items displayed in the shop windows along the street also became bizarre—shrunken human heads, giant black spiders, bone daggers, and various crystal balls that shimmered with ominous light.

The gazes cast by passersby were filled with scrutiny and greed, making one extremely uncomfortable.

Vera's heart raced slightly, not from fear, but from worry.

Harley was all alone here, like a clueless lamb wandering into a pack of wolves.

Just as she was about to rush to the door of the famous antique shop, the door was suddenly kicked open from the inside!

Harley stumbled out, pale-faced, her glasses shattered, her emerald eyes filled with shock and lingering fear.

She spotted Vera rushing towards her at a glance, her eyes lighting up instantly as if she had seen a savior: "Vera!"

She practically threw herself at Vera's wheelchair, her voice trembling with obvious panic: "Th-inside..."

Vera immediately reached out and shielded her behind her, her cold gaze sweeping towards the dark entrance of the Borginburg store.

A hunched-over, greasy-haired man stood inside the door, staring at Harley with a playful look in his eyes.

He hesitated for a moment when he saw Kreacher and Vera's cold gaze behind him, then reluctantly shrank back into the shop, slamming the door shut.

“It’s alright, Harley, he’s too scared to come out.” Vera gripped her hand tightly, and seeing that Harley was unharmed except for being frightened and having her glasses broken, she breathed a sigh of relief and said, “Let’s get out of here first.”

Without hesitation, she turned her wheelchair around, using her body to shield herself from Harley and the malicious gazes of those in Knockturn Alley, and quickly retreated the way she had come.

Harley didn't breathe a long sigh of relief until she was back in the sunny, bustling Diagon Alley, her body still trembling slightly.

"The people in there are all so strange..." She glanced back at the dark side road with lingering fear. "I just misspoke the name..."

“Flyro.net travel requires a very clear destination,” Vera explained, softening her tone. “It’s natural to be nervous the first time you use it, but you’ll remember it next time.”

She pulled out her wand and pointed it at Harley's glasses: "Restored to its original state."

As the tip of the wand flashed with a faint light, Harley's shattered lens was instantly restored to its original state.

Harley put on her glasses, and her vision cleared again. She rubbed her nose sheepishly, "I was so nervous, I inhaled so much dust..."

“It’s alright,” Vera smiled gently and handed her a handkerchief to wipe her face. “Are you feeling better now? We need to go buy the books.”

They walked along the cobblestone street toward Flourish and Blotts, with Harley close behind Vera, calming herself in the sunlight.

Diagon Alley is even more lively and bustling than usual during the summer vacation.

The young wizards excitedly flitted between the shops, while parents busied themselves checking lists. The hooting of owls, the shouts of shopkeepers, and the clamor of the crowd blended together.

Seeing that they were alright, Kreacher went back alone.

However, Harley was still somewhat shaken after the incident.

She would instinctively move closer to Vera's wheelchair, her emerald eyes scanning the surroundings warily, as if afraid that some strange person or thing like Knockdown Alley might suddenly appear from some corner.

Vera could sense her tension, so she slowed down the wheelchair slightly and said in a calm voice, "Look over there, Florin Fosco ice cream shop has a new flavor. We can try it after we buy the books."

Harley looked in the direction she indicated and sure enough, she saw a small line forming in front of the ice cream shop, with signs advertising new flavors hanging in the window.

She swallowed hard, her attention successfully diverted, and her eyes brightened: "It tastes like honey! I'll try it!"

As they were talking, they heard Hermione's voice coming from the Gringotts entrance not far away: "Vera! Harley!"

The two turned around at the sound and saw Hermione running towards them, her fluffy brown hair flying behind her.

"Merlin! It really is you!" Hermione ran up to them breathlessly, her eyes wide with surprise. "I thought I was seeing things!"

Harley scratched her head. "I just received this year's new book list, so Vera and I came to buy books."

Hermione glanced at their empty hands: "You must have just arrived too, right? Shall we go together?"

“Okay!” Harley nodded immediately, a relaxed smile finally appearing on her face.

Hermione seemed to have a lot to say as well, so she naturally walked to the other side of Vera's wheelchair and accompanied Vera to Flourish and Blotts with Harry.

After briefly telling Hermione about her embarrassing mistake of mispronouncing a place name, Harley started sharing information: "Guess who I saw at Borgin Burke's? Malfoy and his father!"

"Did they buy anything?" Hermione asked curiously.

Harley shook her head: "No, he went to sell things."
