And all of this before my eyes.

Pure logistics, absolutely pure logistics.

Each part, viewed individually, seems unremarkable and might even elicit a mocking smile from well-traveled nobles.

They were just some crude bombs and simple devices, utterly incomparable to the exquisite works of art and the magnificent, mountain-like runic artifacts.

But you only need to observe the cartloads of copper and iron being sent into the workshop to know this.

In a typical noble territory, it would take ten years to consume this much iron and copper.

Quantitative change leads to qualitative change.

These strange devices, in terms of performance alone, may not be able to surpass the Kingdom's rune bombs, but their production capacity is definitely more than a hundred times that of the Rune Workshop!

There are no fancy tactics; war is all about logistics. Pure logistics leads to pure numerical superiority!

The sheer impact of this concept far surpasses the initial glimpse of its magnificent appearance.

She seemed to understand a little better how that deformed dragon had died.

But does this really give us a chance to defeat high-level transcendent beings?

Before she could figure it out, she heard the voices of several other knights behind her.

"Hey, a clean mouse girl is quite cute too."

"Look over there, that young lady is hammering nails!"

The knights huddled together, chattering away, completely unaware of what was happening beneath their feet.

Ignorance is bliss.

The brown-haired horse girl withdrew her gaze, hoping that she would never have the opportunity to be enemies with Dwarf Mountain again.

She glanced at the figure walking far ahead, suppressing her shock.

The mountaintop is the landing and takeoff point for airships.

Several blacksmith rats were making final adjustments around the 150mm fixed gun.

This cannon was designed entirely by the Rat Girl herself.

The gun barrel was long and thick, and because it lacked strength, it made up for it with thickness, resulting in a serious imbalance in its proportions.

It's covered with all sorts of strange devices. This one is probably for fixing things, that one is probably for adjusting the angle, and there are quite a few other parts that are full of my own quirks. They're attached to the gun body, giving people a strong feeling that I've done my best.

The blacksmith mice circled around it, tapping here and twisting there, having a great time.

"Alright, alright, that's better now."

Is it really better?

"Okay, I think it's okay now."

"That's good."

A cannonball stood beside the cannon, its shape extremely exaggerated, its interior encasing the runic crossbow bolt.

Not far away, two airships were parked on the ground, their airbags having been checked and properly filled with hydrogen.

Several sets of somewhat complex pulleys were hung on the 150mm gun, waiting to be pulled up after preparation.

Several mouse girls were carrying box after box of lime bombs onto the ship, carrying them carefully and stacking them neatly.

Several cylindrical frames stood on the deck, densely packed with explosives. Each one had a cute little parachute attached to its end, not yet deployed, clustered together like tiny mushrooms.

The flying mice stood on the ship's side and immediately raised their little hands when they saw Morren approaching.

"Your Excellency!"

"Your Excellency, look! It's almost packed! We'll be ready to depart soon!"

The other rat girls were working together to drag the ballista, pushing it onto the airship with great effort. The ballista was heavy, while the rat girls were light.

The ballista does not produce flames when fired and can be safely mounted on an airship.

Molen glanced at it and then looked up.

Not far away, four other airships had already risen and were hovering above the low hill.

Be prepared to rush to the end of this chaotic situation.

Chapter 124 Carpet Bombing

Six airships were traveling north in the night.

The huge cloth airbags dragged the cabin, the propellers spun low, and the triangular sails were taut in the wind at high altitude as it sailed northward.

Between the two airships, the 150mm fixed gun hung suspended in mid-air.

A complex pulley system suspends it between the sides of the two ships, and the whole device sways gently in the wind.

The flying mice gathered around the pulley system, their little hands constantly adjusting the ropes and winches.

"Tighten it a little more on the right side, the right side."

"Squeak squeak squeak, to the left, to the left!"

"Okay, okay, don't pull too hard, the two ships are going to collide!"

The mice waddled and scurried about.

The ropes tightened little by little, and then loosened a bit at times, causing the two airships to sway back and forth, making the rats on them bounce around, but always maintaining a delicate distance.

The cannon hovered steadily in the middle, without hitting anything.

The band rats surrounded Morren, clutching their hats and instruments, their eyes wide open. They glanced cautiously at the ground before quickly retreating.

These kids, who used to bang and clang when they practiced in the low hills, are now shaking like leaves.

That's understandable, since most of them were riding in an airship for the first time, so how could they be as brave as Moren?

He wasn't scared at all the first time he sat in it!

Cough cough, I'm definitely not scared!

Lyme stood on one side of the deck, his arms wrapped around the Dragon Slayer projectile.

The Dragon Hunter warhead was over two meters long, but very slender. Lym stood it upright on the deck, held it in his arms, and steadily supported the warhead with his small hands.

Molen walked over and asked gently:

"Lem, does this arrow smell familiar to you?"

Lem nodded seriously.

Molen reached out and patted her head.

The horse girl knights lay on the ship's railing, imitating the mouse girl by sticking their heads out and looking down.

In the darkness, everything on the ground shrank to tiny dots, and the light from the fluorite lamps became tiny dots in the distance.

One of the female horses let out a soft cry, then pulled her head back, took two steps back, lay down on the deck, and stopped looking down. The other female horses followed suit and pulled their heads back as well.

These brave female knights are now a little afraid of heights.

A human, with less than a hundred rat girls and a dozen horse girls, fighting against tens of thousands of deformed beasts, plus a dragon girl, is practically committing suicide even if it's just a sneak attack.

Many of them originally thought so.

But once you board this seemingly simple airship and ascend to over 500 meters above the ground, everything that was once magnificent and grand on the ground becomes a tiny, distant dot.

You'll immediately realize that the ability to fly is why it's called a "dimensional reduction attack."

This ugly, enormous airship is even more terrifying than it initially appeared!

The thoughts that had been swirling in the mind of the horse-woman knight about whether to hold the hill or wait for the kingdom's army to send reinforcements were immediately swept away by the wind high in the sky.

At this altitude, one can see the glowing sea to the west, churning with blue-green fluorescence; the dark red giant tree piercing the clouds in the distance; and the Holy Remains Army gradually approaching from the due north.

Due north, the ranks of the Holy Relic Army advanced southward in the darkness.

Tens of thousands of footsteps pounded the ground, white flags fluttered in the wind, and the dark mass of people stretched as far as the eye could see, spreading southward.

Nearby, directly below, the refugee beast girls are making a difficult retreat.

Most of them were old or injured, and were left behind by the fleeing crowd.

"Don't worry about me, just run! Once you get to the low hill, you'll be safe."

"What nonsense are you talking about? Hang in there."

"Woooo..."

Six airships flew overhead, and Morren glanced down at the staggering figures.

The wolf-like chimeras draped in the shroud of holiness moved through the darkness, their six legs treading in a steady rhythm, the white shroud fluttering in the wind.

The towering giants followed behind them, each step causing the ground to tremble slightly.

The veiled snake-woman nun, carrying a long white banner, walked on either side of the procession, her face calm and her movements composed.

The ghouls' army was incredibly imposing, and their numbers were far greater than at the beginning.

Until the airships flew closer and closer.

The snake maidens raised their heads, and a hint of indescribable surprise finally appeared on their usually calm and devout faces.

"Short mountain? How come there are so many airships? Did they kill that deformed dragon?!"

The snake girls had seen the dwarf mountain's airship before.

Although they didn't understand why these things could fly, the weakness of these giant floating objects was immediately apparent.

As long as that dragon exists, that deformed giant dragon, these floating sacs are all just fragile toys.

But what about dragons?

Why are there only airships?

Why are there so many airships?

Completely beyond their comprehension, they were all stunned.

So much so that when those strange cylindrical cabinets fell from the airship, unfolded in the air, and scattered a dense array of tiny parachutes...

The snake girls stared at the cute cartoon slime girl pattern on the tiny parachute.

All that remained in my mind was a sense of absurdity.

The next moment, the small lime bombs exploded in the air in clusters.

Green acid mist spread through the air, obscuring the entire sky and turning the darkness overhead into a deadly emerald green.

During this extremely brief period of leniency, the herd of monstrous beasts raised their heads, took six steps, and tried to disperse.

The giant reached out his hand to protect the snake girl below.

The ghouls futilely raised their shields, trying to block the attack from above.

But the hills didn't give them any chance.

In the next instant, countless points of light lit up in the sky that had fallen into a verdant death.

Explosion! Deafening roar!

The shockwave descended from the sky, destroying everything in its path. The deformed beasts, giants, ghouls, and their controllers had no time to react before being crushed into the ground and reduced to ashes.

The rapidly healing flesh, the hardened bone spurs, the immortal army—all were pulverized under this overwhelming pressure that scorned all things.

The devastating shockwave crushed the surrounding dead trees and rocks, turning everything to dust in an instant.

All that remained was a charred, oxygen-deprived, and horrifyingly acid-corroded area, leaving no living creature to savor the remnants of this hellish landscape.

The once invincible and unstoppable Holy Relic Army was unable to put up any resistance and died like ants.

In the distance, refugees staggered and screamed.

On the airship, all the horse girls stared wide-eyed in disbelief.

Molen showed a satisfied expression.

Perhaps, many years from now, the Lyme bomb will make the army afraid to gather again.

Behind them, the entire Holy Remains Army stopped in their tracks, staring at the approaching airship, their distorted faces revealing utter terror.
