Let go of that monster girl!
Page 123
The damage wasn't high, but the Chimera Beast was temporarily forced back a few steps. It quickly adjusted its strategy, its massive body suddenly accelerating and crashing directly into the side of the carriage.
"Oh no! It's coming at us!"
"Get out of the way!"
boom!!
A burst of red and green light exploded!
The militia rat, holding an acid gun, poked half its body out of the torn opening in the carriage and blasted the Chimera Beast's entire face with acid fireballs at point-blank range.
Corrosive slime and flames instantly covered its entire head, and the red and green acid burned through its fur and into its flesh.
The chimera was completely unprepared for this terrifying attack; its massive body tumbled downwards and rolled off the road.
All the rat girls in the carriage were so shocked that they covered their ears, while the beast girls stared at the acid gun that was already half melted, their eyes filled with shock.
What kind of weapon is this? Its power is terrifying!
The militia rats threw away the discarded guns, and the other militia rats squeaked as they pulled out two new acid guns and several round grenades from the weapon crates.
If Molen were here, he would surely feel deeply grateful for the abundant martial spirit of the Dwarf Mountain Military Industry.
The chimera rolled twice on the ground, clutching its burned head. The acid penetrated deep into its bones, and the muscles around the wound could not regenerate, being locked in place by the strong acid.
But it was too big; while the damage was severe, it wasn't fatal.
Its only remaining intact eye reopened, its pupil reflecting the fluorite lights of the departing train, filled with a calm ferocity.
The beast girl, who had once been a knight, immediately noticed the problem.
An ordinary Chimera would have lost its mind and charged around recklessly after suffering this level of damage.
The monster was blasted in the face with acid guns and had one eye gouged out by a short spear, yet it did not go berserk or go berserk at all.
Oh no, this thing is intelligent!
Why didn't it rush up?
"Will it rush up? Squeak!"
The militia rats also noticed the anomaly, picked up various rat-related gadgets, aimed them at the burning figure behind them, and discussed nervously.
The catgirls on the roof were the first to realize the problem, and they all meowed and climbed towards the front of the train. The mousegirls in the carriages also followed suit and crawled towards the front of the train.
The Chimera Beast's speed increased, with several tails spreading out behind it to maintain balance, and its remaining multi-legged body working at full power. In the darkness, its massive body instantly exploded to its limit!
"It's about to jump, squeak!"
"Run! Run!"
The targeted carriage instantly became a swarm of mice, who desperately squeezed towards the side doors, their tiny bodies stacked several layers high to block the entrance.
The beast girls grabbed a terrified rat girl in each hand and frantically stuffed her to either side.
The militia rat climbed onto the roof from the windows of other carriages, preparing to intercept it the moment it landed.
"Squeak! Quickly move the turret to the back!"
The militia rats at the rear of the vehicle frantically cranked the handle, and the cannon muzzle chased after it.
It leaped into the air, its massive body soaring above the maximum elevation angle of the gun emplacement, using the roof of the carriage to shield the militia inside from firing range, and then crashed down straight down from the blind spot directly above the train's defenses!
The short man with a small pot on his head remained seated in the same spot.
She looked up, and the smiling face of the rat girl painted on the small pot looked quite comical.
This scene seems a little familiar.
The giant chimera beast crashed down onto the top of the train, overpowering the rain of arrows fired by the catgirls!
From its perspective, the thin sheet metal roof was rapidly approaching, with several small creatures on it that hadn't had time to escape.
Under the watchful eyes of the mouse girls, and amidst the exclamations of the cat girls.
The giant chimera beast was kicked away by the mysterious rat girl who burst through its roof.
With a mournful and puzzled "woof," it spun around like a puppy and stuck into the rock wall beside it.

?
What's happening here?
Moren watched as the rat train clanged and clattered slowly back to the low hill platform. The doors opened, and a large group of cats with weak legs and overly excited rats poured out.
Most of the train is still intact, except for one carriage which is basically just the chassis and wheels; the sheet metal is completely gone.
On the roof of the remaining carriage, two enormous, frighteningly large, chimera hides, a strange leaden gray color, were still tied.
Chapter 149 Rat Girl Train Level Up
As soon as the train stopped, the catgirls, still shaken, rushed out. Several of them collapsed limply onto the platform, melting into a puddle of cats, their tails no longer able to lift.
"I'll never dare to climb on the roof of the car again, meow."
"Never again, meow, my legs are too weak to move, meow."
The mouse girls chattered and rushed towards the carriage bound with animal skins, their little hands busy untying the ropes.
"My Lord Baron, look at the spoils we brought back!"
"Look, look! It's huge!"
The ropes loosened, and a giant, rolled-up, inlaid animal hide rolled off the roof of the vehicle.
The mouse girls by the carriage all raised their little hands to try to catch it, but were then slammed to the ground along with their animal skins with a dull thud, and several mouse girls were completely covered by the thick fur.
"Quickly, save the rat!"
The other mouse girls and cat girls immediately surrounded them, then retreated one by one.
"It stinks."
"It stinks, meow."
As the Rat Girl train moved along, the wind blew backward, and only the militia rats at the rear gun emplacement could enjoy the fragrance of the inlaid animal hides.
Now that the car is parked, things are different.
The rat girls pinched their noses and approached, hesitantly grabbing the edge of the fur, then retreating because of the stench, caught between a rock and a hard place.
Fortunately, the fall of less than two meters did not cause any damage, and the rat girls finally crawled out, each one covered in dust and covered in the stench of inlaid animal hides.
"Ugh, we rats all stink."
The giant chimera hide was spread out on the ground by the rat girls, who pinched its little nose. The coarse, lead-gray fur spread out over a huge area, about five meters wide when fully unfolded.
It was exceptionally spectacular, but also exceptionally smelly. One piece of animal hide was clearly blown apart, leaving only half of it.
A little mouse girl ran up to Moren, looking up at him with her little face to report.
"Your Excellency, we were just heading towards the market in our carriage when we encountered these two huge monsters before we even reached Carrot Territory. They were so dark we couldn't see them at all. After we blasted one away, we were almost ambushed. Thank goodness for Miss Robert, otherwise we would have been injured."
Where is Miss Robert?
"We were just here a moment ago. Anyway, one of the carriages broke down, so we came back first."
The catgirls crowded around the spread-out animal hide, raising their little feet to try and step on the furry surface, only to be repelled by the stench.
Moren suppressed the smell and crouched down to examine the lead-gray animal hide in front of him closely.
Even the Rat Girl could probably sense that these two Chimera Beasts were not quite right.
Chimera Beasts are completely disordered creatures, and most of the time they are strange and deformed, but as long as the base number is large enough, even if the probability is low, you will eventually be able to draw an SSR.
Blind birds are one type of special case. Another type of special case is those that, very occasionally, possess superior magical properties, thus enabling them to have larger bodies, stronger physical abilities, and even occasional special abilities.
However, these creatures are not perfect, high-end, custom-made boss-level products like the Deformed Dragon. These randomly rolled elite monsters generally have many flaws, and the more extreme they are, the more they can only survive in the depths of darkness.
This was the first time Morren had ever seen a promoted species active in the shallow, dark zone.
Is it because the mutation is lower, allowing movement even in shallower layers, or is it due to a coincidence in evolving a better magic structure, or some other reason?
Unfortunately, there are only two pieces of skin left, and there are probably no more clues.
Molen thought for a while, but couldn't come up with anything.
The blacksmith rats had already crawled under the train and between the carriages to inspect the damage. Their tiny figures darted around under the train, clanging and banging away for a while.
After the inspection was completed, the blacksmith mouse crawled out from under the car, its little face covered in grease.
"Your Excellency, apart from a piece of metal missing from one carriage, there's basically no other damage. We have a spare carriage that can be used directly, so it should be repaired quickly. Shall we arrange for the train to depart again?"
Molen felt it was best to play it safe.
Actually, he had previously felt that the defense of the Rat Girl Train could be improved. It was fine when all the cannons were attached to the flatbed carts, but after the carriages were attached, the carriages easily blocked the firing line of the cannons. With only one cannon at the rear, it was not safe enough to run on the wasteland.
"Don't rush to set off yet. The other vehicle should not leave Aishan Territory either. Send a telegram to Aishan Market and say that the train needs to be repaired for a few days."
"Call the sulfur and the foreman rats over."
A moment later, in the workshop.
Molen, Sulfur, and several foreman rats sat around a table with a freshly drawn concept art spread out on it.
The concept art depicts the full side view of an armored train, with riveted armor covering the body and turrets distributed on the tops of each carriage. The overall lines are rugged and fierce, and the charcoal lines are drawn with explosive coolness.
But it's just a cool-looking drawing; there's no scale marking at all, it's purely a concept drawing.
Sulfur glanced at the concept drawing, its red eyes narrowed, and it looked up at its master, asking:
"Boss, where's the scale?"
"This isn't a blueprint; I just drew it for fun."
Molen shrugged and said matter-of-factly.
He's handsome, so I'll draw it; whether I can actually make it or not is another matter.
The foreman rats crowded around the table, standing on tiptoe to look at the concept drawing, extremely excited.
"So handsome!"
"I really want to drive this car, bang bang bang bang!"
"But can such a big car even be driven?"
With her arms crossed over her chest, Sulfur, as the chief designer of the Rat Girl Train, was quite knowledgeable about this large iron contraption.
"No problem, just add a few more motors."
Morren nodded.
Electric trains have a huge advantage over steam trains: they do not have boilers.
The size of the steam engine alone is manageable, but with the addition of the boiler, such a massive size means that there is only one power unit, which can only be driven by the locomotive. The larger the train, the larger the locomotive needs to be, and if the train is too big, the locomotive will explode.
Aishan's advanced new energy trains can skip this problem directly; modern electric trains have 14 motorized and 2 trailer trains.
The problem is that Dwarf Mountain doesn't have that many motors right now. The two motors on the two Rat Girl trains are one of the ones they picked up from the crashed airship.
Although the motors in the dwarf mountain use excitation coils to bypass the threshold of permanent magnets, each coil still requires the little hands of the mice to slowly pull the wire from a copper rod using a wire-drawing board, and it takes several weeks to make one motor.
Molen looked at the concept art on the table.
"So we need to cut costs and increase revenue, and first eliminate the unnecessary parts."
"Unnecessary parts?"
The foreman rats watched helplessly as Moran's charcoal pencil traced across the reassuring side armor of the armored train, erasing it with a black cross.
"Adding appropriate protective panels to the sides of the carriage would suffice; this would be too wasteful of weight and cannot be used."
The mice's round ears drooped slightly.
Molen raised his charcoal pencil again and drew a large X on the imposing rotating main turret on the roof of the vehicle.
"Without armor plates to lower the center of gravity, large artillery pieces will tip over; they can't be used."
The foreman rats' round ears drooped a little more.
Then Morren removed the neatly arranged small gun mounts from the side of the vehicle.
The mice reached out their little hands and scratched their round ears. They didn't actually know what those things were, but the powerful-looking "bang bang" thing had been scratched off, which made the mice feel a little regretful.
