"We did it!" Alice shouted excitedly.

Just when everyone thought the crisis was over, a sudden gust of wind swept across the grassland. From within the wind appeared a colossal figure—a wind elemental giant as large as a mountain. Its body was composed entirely of wind element, and its eyes flashed with lightning-like light.

"This is a wind elemental giant, the guardian of this grassland. It seems we still have to face its test," Ye Chen said solemnly.

The wind elemental giant opened its massive maw and unleashed a powerful tornado that swept towards the group. Wherever the tornado passed, everything was engulfed; the flowers, grass, and trees on the grassland were uprooted.

"Everyone, quickly hide behind my Shield of Light!" Ye Chen shouted, plunging his staff into the ground and unleashing the full power of the Shield of Light. The Shield of Light shook violently under the impact of the tornado, but it still managed to barely withstand the attack.

“We can’t keep taking hits; we have to find a way to attack its core,” Lillian said.

“But its body is made of wind, so ordinary attacks are unlikely to harm it,” Groom said.

“I noticed a shimmering wind crystal core on its chest; that must be its weakness,” the elven warrior said.

“Alright, then let’s focus our efforts on attacking its crystal core. Alice, you shoot arrows imbued with the power of light to distract it. Lillian and I will prepare our strongest magic to attack its crystal core. Grum, you lead the dwarven warriors and look for opportunities to assist us.” Ye Chen gave the orders again.

Alice drew her bow and fired several arrows in quick succession, each imbued with the power of light, aiming for the eye of the wind elemental giant. Struck by the arrows, the wind elemental giant roared in anger, turning its attention to Alice.

Ye Chen and Lillian then unleashed their strongest magic. Ye Chen's light magic coalesced into a giant lightsaber, while Lillian's ice magic formed a massive ice spike. They focused their magical power on the crystal core in the wind elemental giant's chest and launched their attack simultaneously.

The wind elemental giant sensed the attack from behind and tried to turn around to defend itself, but Alice's rain of arrows made it difficult to concentrate. In that instant, Ye Chen and Lillian's magic struck the crystal core in the wind elemental giant's chest. The crystal core cracked under the attack, and the wind elemental giant's body began to become unstable.

"Continue the attack!" Ye Chen shouted.

With everyone working together, they continued their attack on the wind elemental giant's crystal core. Under their relentless assault, the crystal core finally shattered, and the wind elemental giant let out a deafening roar before slowly dissipating into the air.

As the wind elemental giant dissipated, the magical energy on the grassland gradually stabilized. The unicorn herds that had been trapped in the snares also calmed down; they glanced at the group, then turned and left.

“We passed this test,” Lillian said with a sigh of relief.

Just then, the white-clad woman's voice rang out again: "You performed well on the grassland, but this is only part of the test. Next, you will enter the depths of the forest, where even greater challenges await you."

The group followed the path along the edge of the grassland, heading deeper into the forest. Along the way, they saw all sorts of strange flowers, grasses, and trees, each exuding a mysterious aura. Some plants emitted a soft glow, while others made melodious sounds.

“This forest is full of life and mystery. I wonder what else awaits us,” Alice said curiously.

As they ventured deeper into the forest, they discovered that the trees were exceptionally tall, their branches and leaves so dense that sunlight could only filter through the layers of foliage, casting dappled shadows. A rich magical aura permeated the forest, making them feel as if they were inside a vast magical treasure trove.

Suddenly, they heard a deep roar coming from the depths of the forest. The roar was filled with anger and majesty, sending chills down their spines.

"Everyone be careful, a powerful creature is approaching," Ye Chen said warily.

A massive black bear slowly emerged from the woods. This bear was enormous, its body covered in black fur, each hair gleaming with a metallic sheen. Its eyes, like two burning flames, radiated a ferocious aura.

“This is the Steel Bear. Its fur is as hard as iron, and ordinary attacks can hardly harm it,” Groom said.

“Then what should we do?” Alice asked.

“We can try attacking its eyes with magic first, that’s its relatively weak point,” Ye Chen said.

Alice drew her bow and nocked an arrow, this time imbuing it with both light and ice magic. The arrow shot towards the steel bear's eye, but the steel bear sensed the attack, raised its paw, and swung it away, deflecting the arrow.

"Its reaction speed is so fast!" Alice exclaimed in surprise.

“It seems we need to change tactics. Lillian, use ice magic to create ice around it to restrict its movement. I'll attack its eyes with light magic. Grum, you lead the dwarven warriors to attack its legs from the side,” Ye Chen said.

Lillian cast ice magic, creating a sheet of ice around the Steel Bear. The Steel Bear staggered as it walked on the ice. Taking advantage of this, Ye Chen cast light magic, shooting beams of light towards the Steel Bear's eyes. Struck by the beams, the Steel Bear roared in anger.

Groom led the dwarven warriors, wielding their battle axes and hacking at the Iron Bear's legs. Although the Iron Bear's fur was tough, the dwarven warriors' relentless attacks still left some scratches.

Enraged by the group's attack, the Steel Bear stomped its foot, shattering the ice instantly. Then it pounced on the dwarven warriors.

"Get out of the way!" Grum shouted, and the dwarven warriors scattered to both sides.

"This can't go on. We need to find its fatal weakness," Ye Chen said.

During the fierce battle, the elven warriors discovered a patch of skin on the Iron Bear's belly that was not covered by hair and was a dark red color.

“Look, its abdomen might be its weak point,” the elven warrior shouted.

“Alright, let’s focus our attack on its abdomen. Alice, you cover us with a rain of arrows. Lillian and I will unleash our magic attacks. Grum, you lead the dwarven warriors to find an opportunity to deliver the fatal blow,” Ye Chen said.

Alice drew her bow again, and countless arrows rained down on the Steel Bear. While the Steel Bear struggled to defend itself, Ye Chen and Lillian seized the opportunity to unleash their magic. Ye Chen's light magic coalesced into a massive ball of light, while Lillian's ice magic formed a giant ice spike. They channeled their magical power towards the Steel Bear's belly.

The Steel Bear sensed the attack on its abdomen and tried to dodge, but it was too late. The ball of light and the ice spike struck its abdomen simultaneously. The Steel Bear let out a painful roar as a huge gash appeared on its abdomen, from which blood gushed.

Seeing an opportunity, Groom led his dwarven warriors to charge at the Iron Bear. They raised their battle axes high and hacked at the Iron Bear's wounds. With their combined efforts, the Iron Bear finally collapsed.

“We’ve passed another test,” Alice said excitedly.

However, before they could catch their breath, another strange sound came from the forest. The sound was like the whispers of countless creatures, or some kind of mysterious incantation.

"What is that sound?" Lillian asked warily.

As the sound drew closer, they saw a group of mysterious figures dressed in black robes slowly emerge from the woods. Their faces were shrouded in shadow, obscuring their features.

"Who are you? Why are you stopping us?" Ye Chen asked.

“We are the guardians of dark magic. You should not venture into the depths of this forest. The secrets here do not belong to you,” one of the mysterious figures said.

"We came here to protect the world of light. The secrets of this forest may help us find a way to protect it. We will not give up easily," Ye Chen said firmly.

"Then don't blame us for being impolite." After the mysterious man finished speaking, black magical flames appeared in his hand.

The other mysterious figures also unleashed dark magic, and flames of dark magic surged towards the group like a tidal wave. The shield of light teetered precariously under the onslaught of these flames.

"Hold on, everyone! We're going to fight back!" Ye Chen shouted.

Alice drew her bow, imbuing the arrow with the power of light, and shot it towards the mysterious man. But the mysterious man seemed to be surrounded by a dark shield, and the arrow bounced off the shield after striking it.

“Their shields are very strong; they’re difficult to break through with ordinary attacks,” Alice said.

“We can use a magical fusion attack to break their shields,” Lillian said.

Ye Chen and Lillian began attempting to fuse light magic and ice magic. During the fusion process, the two types of magic collided and intertwined, generating powerful energy fluctuations.

"Are you ready?" Ye Chen asked.

“Ready,” Lillian replied.

They unleashed the fused magic at the mysterious figure's shield. Upon impact, cracks began to appear in the shield.

"Continue the attack!" Ye Chen shouted.

Groom led his dwarven warriors in a charge at the mysterious figure, wielding their battle axes and hacking at the cracks in the shield. With their combined efforts, the mysterious figure's shield was finally broken.

Seeing the shield shattered, the mysterious figures unleashed even more powerful dark magic. One of them summoned a horde of dark specters, which lunged at the group with bared fangs and claws.

"These dark ghosts will devour our souls, everyone be careful!" shouted the elven warrior.

"I'll use light magic to dispel them; you attack those mysterious figures," Ye Chen said.

Ye Chen unleashed a spell of light, sending beams of holy light hurtling towards the dark phantoms. Bathed in the light magic, the dark phantoms screamed in agony and vanished.

Alice, Lillian, Groom, and the others launched an attack on the mysterious figure. Alice's arrows rained down like meteors across the sky, Lillian's ice magic created vast shards of ice, and Groom led the dwarven warriors, wielding battle axes, in a fierce close-quarters battle with the mysterious figure.

During the battle, Ye Chen noticed that one of the mysterious figures was holding a magic book that exuded a dark aura. That magic book seemed to be the source of their dark magic.

"Everyone, focus your attack on that mysterious man with the magic book!" Ye Chen shouted.

Hearing the shouts, everyone turned their attacks on the mysterious figure. Under their fierce assault, the mysterious figure gradually became unable to withstand the onslaught.

"You won't get your hands on this magic book!" the mysterious man shouted, throwing the book into the air. The book then began to release powerful dark energy.

Dark energy formed a massive black hole, emanating a powerful suction force that tried to pull everyone inside.

"Don't get sucked in!" Ye Chen shouted.

He and Lillian cast spells again, attempting to counteract the black hole's suction with magical power. Alice, Groom, and the other warriors clung tightly to the surrounding trees to avoid being sucked into the black hole.

With everyone's efforts, the black hole's suction gradually weakened. Ye Chen seized the opportunity to fly into the air, used light magic to wrap the magic book, and then sealed it away.

With the spellbook sealed away, the mysterious figures lost the support of dark magic and were defeated one after another.

"We did it!" Alice shouted excitedly.

The group rested briefly in the forest, restoring their strength and magic. Then they continued deeper into the forest. Along the way, they encountered some small magical creatures and magical traps, but they overcame them all.

When they reached the edge of the forest, they discovered an ancient castle. Vines climbed the castle walls, exuding an ancient and mysterious aura. The castle gates were tightly shut, and various mysterious runes were carved on them.

"This castle looks very unusual; it must be hiding an important secret," Ye Chen said.

They approached the castle gate, and Ye Chen tried to decipher the runes on it. After some effort, he finally found a way to open the gate.

"Everyone step back, I'm going to open the door," Ye Chen said.

He infused his magic into the runes on the door, and the runes began to glow. As the light flickered, the door slowly opened, and an ancient aura wafted out.

As the group entered the castle, they found it spacious, yet filled with an eerie atmosphere. The castle's main hall was filled with various ancient artifacts and magical items, and the walls were adorned with enormous portraits.

"These artifacts and props contain powerful magical energy, so please do not touch them carelessly," Ye Chen reminded everyone again.

They cautiously explored the castle. Suddenly, they heard heavy footsteps coming from deep within the castle. The footsteps sounded like the movement of a huge creature, each step causing the ground to tremble slightly.

“Another challenge is coming,” Lillian said.

A gigantic gargoyle slowly emerged from the depths of the castle. This gargoyle was tall, its entire body made of hard stone, with enormous wings and eyes that gleamed with red light.

“This is a gargoyle. It has strong defensive and offensive capabilities and is immune to magical attacks,” Groom said.

"Not afraid of magical attacks? Then what should we do?" Alice asked.

“We can use the mechanisms and traps in the castle to deal with it,” Ye Chen said.

They began searching the castle for mechanisms and traps. In one corner, they discovered a massive crossbow. The crossbow was loaded with enormous bolts, their arrowheads gleaming coldly.

"This crossbow might be able to damage the gargoyles," Ye Chen said.

Alice and the elven warriors were responsible for operating the crossbows, while Ye Chen, Lillian, Grum, and others were responsible for attracting the attention of the gargoyles.

Upon seeing the group, the gargoyle opened its enormous mouth and spewed forth a stream of flames. The flames swept towards them, and they hurriedly dodged.

"Quickly, fire the crossbow bolts!" Ye Chen shouted.

Alice and the elven warriors pulled the triggers of their crossbows, sending massive bolts hurtling towards the gargoyle. The bolts struck the gargoyle, sending sparks flying, but the gargoyle was not seriously injured.

“Its body is so tough that the crossbow bolts could only leave some scratches on it,” Alice said.

"We need to think of other ways," Ye Chen said.

In another room of the castle, they discovered a huge magical furnace. A roaring fire burned within the furnace, and the flames seemed to contain powerful magical energy.

“We can lure the gargoyle to the magic furnace and use the power of the flames to deal with it,” Lillian said.

“Good idea,” Ye Chen said.

They drew the gargoyles' attention again, then ran towards the magic forge. The gargoyles gave chase.

When the gargoyle caught up with the magic furnace, Ye Chen and Lillian used magic to channel the flames from the furnace and burn the gargoyle. Engulfed in flames, the gargoyle roared in agony.

As the flames scorched the gargoyle, cracks began to appear on its body. Groom saw an opportunity and led his dwarven warriors to charge at the gargoyle. They swung their battle axes, hacking at the cracks in the gargoyle's body.

With everyone working together, the gargoyle was finally defeated and turned into a pile of rubble.

“We’ve passed another test,” Alice said excitedly.

They continued their exploration of the castle, and in the castle's basement, they discovered a huge magic circle. The magic circle emitted a dazzling light, and the light seemed to conceal some secret.

"This magic circle looks very important; perhaps it holds the key to protecting the world of light," Ye Chen said.

Ye Chen slowly crouched down, carefully examining the magic circle before him that radiated a dazzling light. The complex runes flickered in and out of view in the light, as if telling an ancient and mysterious story.

"Everyone, don't get too close yet. The power fluctuations of this magic circle are very strong. I need to try to decipher it first," Ye Chen said solemnly.

Upon hearing this, everyone stopped in their tracks, their gazes fixed on Ye Chen and the mysterious magic circle.

Ye Chen closed his eyes and slowly released his magic power, attempting to establish a connection with the energy of the magic circle. After a moment, fine beads of sweat gradually appeared on his forehead, clearly indicating that the process of deciphering the magic was not easy.

"The structure of this magic circle is extremely complex, and it seems to be quite different from any magic we have encountered before." Ye Chen slowly opened his eyes, his brows still furrowed.

"What should we do, Brother Ye Chen? We finally found this place, is there no way to figure out its secret?" Alice asked anxiously.

"Don't worry, Alice. I'll try another method." Ye Chen comforted her, then stood up and began pacing around the magic circle, muttering incantations as if reciting some ancient spells, trying to explore the mysteries of the magic circle from different angles.

Just then, a sinister laugh suddenly echoed through the castle. The laughter seemed to come from all directions, making it impossible to pinpoint its exact source.

"Hahaha, do you think you can unravel the secret of this magic circle so easily? How naive!" A deep, hoarse voice echoed in the castle.
