However, the barrier did not seem to completely isolate the influence of the flute music. Some team members' eyes began to glaze over, and their feet involuntarily walked towards the direction from which the flute music came.
"Oh no! Everyone, hold each other back!" Alice shouted anxiously. She quickly grabbed an elven warrior next to her and gently tapped the confused team members with the shaft of an arrow, trying to bring them back to their senses.
Groom strode over to the bewildered dwarf warriors, shaking their shoulders and shouting, "Wake up! It's a trap!"
With everyone's efforts, most of the team members gradually regained consciousness, but two elven warriors and one dwarf warrior, under the control of the flute, broke free from their companions' pull and ran into the depths of the forest.
"We can't abandon them, let's chase them!" Ye Chen made a decisive decision and led the group in the direction where the three team members had disappeared.
As they ventured deeper into the 333 Forest, the surrounding environment grew increasingly eerie. The trees became twisted and bizarre, strange runes faintly appearing on their trunks, as if whispering ancient secrets. A faint glow flickered in the grass, like countless pairs of eyes lurking nearby.
Finally, they found the three bewitched team members in an open meadow. They were dancing around a mysterious figure in black robes, who held a flute that emitted a ghostly light and was playing the enchanting melody.
"Who are you? Why are you controlling our team members?" Ye Chen asked angrily, gathering light magic power in his hands, ready to launch an attack at any moment.
The mysterious man in black robes slowly raised his head, revealing a pair of eyes that gleamed red. He coldly laughed and said, "Foolish adventurers, you have trespassed into my territory and attempted to ruin my plans. This is your fate."
"Your plan? What exactly is your conspiracy?" Alice asked, drawing her bow and aiming the arrow at the mysterious man.
"Hahahaha, this forest is the cradle where I cultivated my dark power. I will spread this dark power throughout the world, letting darkness once again shroud the earth. And you will be the first sacrifices to my dark power," the mysterious man said with maniacal laughter.

"Don't even think about it! We will never let you succeed!" Groom roared, brandishing his battle axe as he charged toward the mysterious man.
The mysterious man waved his black robe lightly, and a surge of dark power erupted like a tide, knocking Groom back several steps.
"You think you can stop me so easily? You're too naive," the mysterious man said disdainfully.
Taking advantage of the moment, Lillian cast a spell, and a massive ice wall rose in front of the mysterious man, attempting to block his attack. But the mysterious man simply blew a note on his flute, and the ice wall shattered instantly, turning into countless ice shards scattered all over the ground.
“His strength is formidable; we need to think of a way,” Ye Chen said, a hint of seriousness in his eyes.
Just then, Alice noticed that when the mysterious man played the flute, a faint light would shimmer on his black robe, and that light seemed to be related to the source of his power.
"Everyone, pay attention to his black robe; the light emanating from it might be the key," Alice shouted.
Upon hearing this, everyone turned their attacks towards the mysterious man's black robe. Ye Chen unleashed the divine light spell "Arrows of Light," sending countless arrows of light hurtling towards the mysterious man's robe like meteors. Alice and the elven warriors also fired countless arrows of light, while Grum and the dwarven warriors flanked from both sides, attempting to distract the mysterious man.
Seeing that things were going badly, the mysterious man quickly strengthened the defenses of his black robe and increased the pace of his flute playing, attempting to regain control of the expedition members.
"We can't let him control us again, hold on!" Lillian shouted, casting a spell to empower everyone to resist the allure, while simultaneously launching a more powerful light magic attack on the mysterious man's black robe together with Ye Chen.
With everyone's concerted efforts, the mysterious man's black robe was finally breached, and a dark light surged out from the robe before disappearing into thin air.
The mysterious man, having lost the power of the black robe, suddenly became weak. His flute playing became intermittent, losing its captivating power.
"Now, it's your end!" Groom roared, brandishing his battle axe as he charged toward the mysterious man.
The mysterious man looked at Groom in terror, trying to escape, but it was too late. Groom's battle axe struck the mysterious man heavily, killing him instantly.
With the death of the mysterious man, the three bewitched team members gradually came to their senses.
"What happened? How did I get here?" an elven warrior asked, bewildered.
“You were being controlled by this mysterious person, but it’s alright now, we’ve taken care of him,” Alice comforted her.
After a short rest to recover some of their strength and magic, the group continued their journey through the forest. They knew that more dangers might await them ahead, but they were prepared to steadfastly protect this world of light, no matter what difficulties they encountered.
As they walked, they came to a wide river. The water was crystal clear, but it exuded a cold aura.
“This river looks a bit strange. How are we going to cross it?” Alice frowned as she looked at the river.
“I can try to build an ice bridge with magic,” Lillian said, waving her magic wand and beginning to cast a spell.
However, when Lillian's magic touched the river, a huge wave suddenly surged up, and a giant water monster leaped out of the river. This monster was covered in blue scales, had a huge head with sharp teeth and long tentacles, and a pair of huge eyes that gleamed with a cold, icy light.
"What kind of monster is this?" Groom exclaimed in surprise.
"Whatever it is, we have to defeat it to cross the river," Ye Chen said, casting his Light Shield once again, enveloping everyone within it.
The water monster roared and swung its enormous claws, lunging at the Light Shield. The shield shook violently under the monster's attack, and Ye Chen felt an immense pressure bearing down on him. He gritted his teeth and did his best to maintain the shield's stability.
“This can’t go on; we have to take the initiative,” Alice said, drawing her bow and shooting an arrow into the monster’s eye.
The water monster, in pain and anger, turned its gaze to Alice. It opened its gaping maw and spewed out a powerful jet of water. Alice tried to dodge, but was still struck by the water, her body flying backward and crashing heavily to the ground.
"Alice!" everyone exclaimed.
Seeing this, Groom roared and broke through the shield of light, charging towards the water monster. He swung his battle axe, slamming it down hard on the monster's claws, splashing water everywhere.
The water monster, in pain, grabbed Groom with its other claw and lifted him up.
"Groom!" Ye Chen shouted anxiously. He cast the divine light spell "Holy Liberation," and a beam of light shot towards the water monster's claws, forcing it to release Groom.
Groom seized the opportunity to break free and plummeted from the sky. The instant he landed, he adjusted his posture and charged at the monster again.
Lillian was not to be outdone. She unleashed powerful magic, raining down ice spikes upon the water monster. The monster was struck by the ice spikes and sustained some wounds, but it seemed unconcerned and continued its frenzied attack on the expedition team.
During the battle, the group gradually discovered a relatively weak spot on the monster's abdomen.
"Concentrate your attack on its abdomen!" Ye Chen shouted.
Upon hearing this, everyone turned their attacks towards the monster's abdomen. Despite her pain, Alice drew her bow again, gathering the power of light into the arrow, and shot it towards the monster's belly.
Ye Chen and Lillian also unleashed powerful magic attacks on the water monster's abdomen. Grum led the dwarf warriors to draw the water monster's attention, causing it to expose an opening in its abdomen.
With everyone's concerted efforts, the monster's abdomen was finally breached. It let out a painful roar, and its massive body slowly collapsed, splashing up huge sprays of water.
"Finally defeated it." (Good, good) Alice breathed a sigh of relief, a tired smile on her face.
"Is everyone alright?" Ye Chen asked, looking at everyone with concern.
“Aside from some scratches and magic depletion, everyone is fine,” Lillian said.
“Let’s hurry and cross the river. We don’t know what dangers await us,” Groom said.
Lillian used magic to create a sturdy ice bridge across the river. The group helped each other and carefully stepped onto the ice bridge, walking step by step towards the other side of the river.
"Can this ice bridge hold up? I feel like it's wobbling a bit," Groom said with a frown, looking at the ice bridge beneath his feet with some concern.
"Don't worry, my magic is enough to help everyone cross the river. Just don't panic and keep moving forward steadily," Lillian reassured her, though her face was slightly pale; the battle with the water monster had drained a lot of her magic power.

The group successfully crossed the ice bridge, and as soon as they stepped onto the land on the other side of the river, they felt a sinister aura wash over them. The surrounding trees became twisted and grotesque, their branches resembling withered arms, swaying in the wind and making eerie sounds.
"Something's not right here, everyone be careful." Ye Chen gripped his staff tightly, his eyes scanning the surroundings warily.
“I have a feeling that something is watching us from the shadows.” Alice also sensed the hidden malice. She nocked another arrow, the tip of which gleamed faintly.
Suddenly, the ground began to shake, and a group of skeletal warriors reeking of decay emerged from the ground. Their eye sockets burned with eerie green flames, and they brandished rusty weapons as they charged towards the expedition.
"These undead creatures again. Looks like we're in for a lot of trouble today." Groom brandished his battle axe, charging at the leading skeleton warrior. He cleaved it into pieces with a single blow, but soon more skeleton warriors surged forward.
"I'll try purifying them with light magic." Ye Chen cast the divine light spell "Holy Purification," and a dazzling light shot out from the tip of his staff, instantly turning the skeleton warriors into dust wherever it touched. However, the number of skeleton warriors seemed endless, rising wave after wave from the ground.
"At this rate, our magic will run out. We need to think of a more thorough solution," Lillian said anxiously as she cast spells to fend off the skeleton warriors.
“I’ve discovered that the movements of these skeleton warriors seem to be controlled by a dark magic circle over there,” said a wise elven man, pointing to a magic circle emitting a dark glow in the distance.
"Then let's destroy that magic circle first!" Alice shouted, firing several arrows towards it in an attempt to disrupt its operation. But the arrows were deflected by a dark force as they approached the circle.
“This magic circle has strong defenses; we need to attack it together,” Ye Chen said. He and Lillian exchanged a glance, then simultaneously unleashed powerful magic, a force of light and ice blasting towards the magic circle. Meanwhile, Groom and the dwarven warriors fought valiantly to hold off the skeleton warriors, buying them time.
Under the combined attack of everyone, the magic circle finally showed a crack. "Give it another push, it can't hold on much longer!" Alice shouted, gathering all her strength into the arrow and firing it with a powerful burst of light. The arrow flew straight towards the core of the magic circle, and with a deafening roar, the magic circle shattered completely. The skeleton warriors instantly lost control, collapsing one after another, motionless.
"Phew, we finally got through this crisis." Grum wiped the sweat from his forehead. Although he was physically strong, the continuous battles had left him feeling somewhat exhausted.
"Everyone, take a break and recover your strength and magic. I feel there are even tougher challenges ahead," Ye Chen said, sitting down on the ground and beginning to meditate to restore his magic.
After resting for a while, the group continued their journey. They arrived at a swamp shrouded in mist. The swamp emitted a pungent odor, and bubbles occasionally rose to the surface, releasing toxic fumes when they burst.
“This swamp looks dangerous. How are we going to get across?” Lillian looked at the swamp with a troubled expression.
“Perhaps we can make a simple raft using some branches and vines,” Alice suggested.
So, the group began searching for suitable materials. Groom and the dwarf warriors cut down branches, while the elven warriors used their agility to gather vines. With everyone's combined efforts, the simple raft was finally completed.
"I hope this raft can successfully carry us across the swamp." Ye Chen looked at the raft, feeling somewhat uneasy.
The group carefully pushed the raft onto the swamp and then boarded it one by one. Grum and several strong warriors rowed, and the raft slowly moved deeper into the swamp.
However, as the raft reached the center of the swamp, several enormous vines suddenly emerged from the swamp and tightly bound the raft. "Oh no, we're under attack!" Groom shouted, swinging his battle axe to try and cut the vines, but the vines were exceptionally resilient, and his attacks only left shallow marks on them.
“Let me try using magic.” Lillian cast a fire spell, and flames ignited along the vines, but the vines seemed unafraid of the flames, instead wrapping around them tighter and tighter.
“These vines might be the tentacles of some kind of swamp monster. We need to find its true form to completely solve the problem,” Alice said, standing on the raft, trying to find traces of the monster through the mist.
Just then, a gigantic swamp monster slowly rose from the swamp. Its body seemed to be made of countless rotten mud and flesh, and its huge head had a pair of blood-red eyes and a mouth full of sharp fangs.
"This monster is disgusting! Everyone be careful of its attacks!" Ye Chen cast a Light Shield, enveloping the raft.
The swamp monster let out a low roar, then lashed out with more vines at the raft. The shield teetered precariously under the onslaught of the vines, and the group tumbled and staggered on the raft.
"We can't just sit here and wait to die, fight back!" Groom shouted, leading his dwarven warriors in a desperate attack on the approaching vines. Alice drew her bow and shot an arrow at the swamp monster's eye. Her arrow struck the monster precisely in the eye, and in pain and rage, the monster turned its attack on Alice.
It opened its gaping maw and spewed out a corrosive liquid. Alice quickly dodged, but some of the liquid still splashed onto her clothes, instantly corroding them and creating several large holes.
"Alice, are you alright?" Lillian asked anxiously.
"I'm fine. Everyone, focus on attacking its head; that should be its weak point," Alice said, enduring the pain.
Upon hearing this, everyone focused their attacks on the swamp monster's head. Ye Chen unleashed the divine light spell "Radiant Judgment," sending a powerful beam of light hurtling towards the monster's head. Lillian also unleashed powerful ice magic, raining down ice spikes upon the swamp monster's head. With everyone's combined efforts, the swamp monster's head was struck multiple times, and its movements became sluggish.
"It's almost done for, everyone give it one last push!" Groom shouted, swinging his battle axe and bringing all his strength down on the swamp monster's head. The axe struck the swamp monster's head with tremendous force, and the monster let out a painful roar as its massive body slowly collapsed, splashing up a large amount of swamp mud.

As the swamp monster collapsed, the vines binding the raft loosened. The group quickly rowed the raft and finally crossed the swamp.
Once ashore, everyone breathed a sigh of relief, but they knew the road ahead was long and many more unknown dangers awaited them. They rested briefly, organized their equipment, and then continued towards their destination.
As they walked, they came to an ancient castle. The castle walls were covered with vines, the gates were tightly closed, and it exuded an old and mysterious atmosphere.
"This castle looks like it's been abandoned for a long time. I wonder what's inside," Alice said, looking at the castle with curiosity.
"No matter what's inside, we have to go in and take a look. Maybe we can find some clues about the secrets of this forest," Ye Chen said, leading the way towards the castle gate.
As they approached the gate, it suddenly opened slowly, letting out a gust of cold wind carrying a musty smell. The group cautiously entered the castle, where the light was dim, with only a few faint rays filtering through the cracks in the windows.
The castle's hall was filled with worn-out tables and chairs, and faded portraits hung on the walls. "It looks like someone used to live here, but what happened?" Lillian murmured.
Suddenly, they heard a sinister laugh echoing through the castle. "Who is it?" Groom shouted, gripping his battle axe and looking around warily.
"Welcome to my territory, foolish adventurer," a voice echoed from the depths of the castle.
The group walked towards the source of the sound and arrived at a room. Inside sat a man in a black robe, his face hidden beneath the robe, making it impossible to see his features.
"Who are you? Why did you lead us here?" Ye Chen asked.
"I am the guardian of this castle. You have trespassed into a place you should not have entered, and you will pay the price," the man in black said coldly.
“We were just passing through, looking for some secrets about this forest, and meant no offense,” Alice explained.
"Hmph, whatever your purpose is, you can't leave here." After saying that, the man in black robes waved his robes, and a group of ghosts emerged from the walls and pounced on the expedition team.
These ghosts were ethereal in form, emitting mournful cries that sent chills down everyone's spines. "Ghosts again, everyone be careful, don't get possessed," Lillian warned, casting a spell to create a magical barrier around them.
The ghosts kept crashing against the magical barrier, but Ye Chen used the divine light spell "Holy Protection" to strengthen it. "This can't go on; we need to find a way to dispel these ghosts," he said.
“I’ve heard that ghosts fear divine power; we can attack them with light magic,” Alice said. She drew her bow, the arrow tip gathering light power, and shot it towards the horde of ghosts. The arrow pierced through the ghosts' bodies, and they cried out in pain, but were not driven away.
"These ghosts seem unusual; ordinary light magic isn't very effective against them," Ye Chen said, frowning.
"I've discovered that these ghosts seem to be connected to some source of dark power within the castle," the elven sage said after observing for a while.
“Then let’s go find that source of dark power and destroy it,” Groom said, and he rushed into the depths of the castle first.
The group followed Groom as they traversed the castle in search of the source of dark power. Along the way, they were constantly attacked by ghosts, but they fought back bravely.
Finally, they found a magic circle in the castle's basement that exuded a strong dark aura. The magic circle was surging with black energy, which was the source of the ghosts' power.
"That's it! Attack together!" Ye Chen shouted, and he and Lillian simultaneously unleashed powerful magic, blasting it towards the magic circle. Grum and the dwarven warriors defended them from the ghosts' attacks. Alice stood to the side, drawing her bow and shooting down any approaching ghosts.
Under the combined attack of the group, cracks began to appear in the magic circle. Seeing the situation was dire, the man in black robes tried to stop them, but was blocked by Groom. Groom wielded his battle axe and engaged the man in black robes in a fierce battle.
"You won't stop us!" Groom roared, his battle axe slashing with immense force at the black-robed man. The black-robed man, in turn, used dark magic to fight back against Groom.
As the attacks on the magic circle continued, it finally shattered. The ghosts, instantly deprived of their source of power, vanished. The man in black robes was also severely injured by the shattering of the magic circle; his robes were torn, revealing a pale and distorted face.

"You...you ruined my plans..." the man in black said weakly.
"What is your plan? Why set up so many traps in this castle?" Ye Chen asked.
“I originally intended to use these dark powers to rule this forest and make all creatures my puppets, but you…” The man in black robes collapsed due to his severe injuries before he could finish speaking.
