Digimon: I really didn't want to be the Digimon Emperor!

"Now's the time!" Cheng Yuan's eyes blazed with a fierce light. He activated [Ghost Shift] and instantly appeared behind the wizard beast. The crimson light blade of [Blood Assault] slashed down fiercely!

scoff!

[Space Shield] Fluctuates violently as the powerful blood blade clashes and rubs against the space shield.

Although it blocked the attack, the enormous impact still caused Wizardmon to stagger.

A successful collaboration!

They gradually became familiar with the rhythm of the wizard beast's magical suppression and began to look for weaknesses!

Cheng Yuan stopped attacking blindly and instead used [Ghost Shift] to make probing short-distance movements, forcing Wizard Beast to frequently use [Blink] and [Spatial Shield].

Wizard Beasts dared not approach.

Tailmon, meanwhile, was fully utilizing its "Cat Eyes," which allowed it to see through the illusions of Mythramon's clones.

"Right rear! It's fake!"

"The lightning overhead is real!"

"Your main body is directly in front of you. Prepare to cast a spell!"

Wizardmon's pressure suddenly increased! It found that its opponent's coordination was becoming more and more perfect, and could always detect its movement and attack intentions in the first instant. Its magic was no longer as invincible as before.

Spatial magic consumes a lot of resources, and the frequent use of [Blink] and maintaining the [Spatial Shield] is causing its data energy to be consumed at an accelerated rate.

It tried to use [Disordered Corridor] to trap its opponent again, but Cheng Yuan and Dilumon had learned their lesson and were already on high alert.

"Cheng Yuan! It's trying to change space!"

"Interrupt it! Light and Dark Energy Impact!" Cheng Yuan roared.

Without hesitation, Gatomon forcibly fused the energy of light and darkness between its claws once more. Although it was not enough to unleash the complete [Light and Dark End], a chaotic energy shockwave was already unleashed, shooting straight towards Wizardmon, who was guiding a large-scale spatial magic spell!

The wizard beast had to interrupt its spellcasting and use Blink to dodge. But as soon as it reappeared in another location, Cheng Yuan seemed to have been waiting for it!

[Ghostly Twilight]! Seven blood-red eyes stare simultaneously!

In its prime, Wizardmon's mental strength would be enough to withstand this interference, but at this moment, it was consuming a lot of energy and had been interrupted in its spellcasting, leaving a gap in its mind!

It was this tiny gap! The power of [Ghostly Twilight] successfully seeped in, causing its thoughts to become hazy and sluggish for a fraction of a second!

Its blinking was a fraction of a second slower!

Meanwhile, Cheng Yuan's [Ghost Shift] had already been activated simultaneously!

The Darkmon appeared in front of Wizardmon and slashed out with two "Blood Evolution" demon swords!

[Blood Assault - Cross Slash!]

laugh--! ! !

This time, the [Space Shield] failed to activate fully!

The crimson cross-shaped blade of light slashed fiercely into the Wizard Beast's chest!

"Ugh—!"

The wizard beast let out a painful groan as its mage robes were torn.

A deep cross-shaped wound appeared, scattering a large amount of data fragments and blood! The entire beast, along with its shield, was sent flying backward by the cleavage, crashing heavily into a stone pillar.

[Blood Evolution] It greedily sucked the blood from the blade, emitting a cackling laugh.

The wizard beast supported its body with its staff and cast healing spells, constantly repairing its wounds only to have them torn apart again by the remaining brutal crimson energy.

Just then, a voice came from behind the glowing stone platform in the center of the palace:

“Truly…astonishing combat skills.”

Then, the animal trainer named Lin Yu slowly walked out from behind the stone platform.

He was indeed very young, looking to be under twenty, and was well-mannered, like a college student.

When he saw the wizard beast was injured, his face didn't show much panic, but rather a scrutinizing and curious expression.

He glanced regretfully at the mysterious object on the stone platform protected by the light shield: "A mysterious artifact, but unfortunately, there wasn't enough time... We were just a little short of breaking through this final defense."

He pushed up his glasses, looked at the Darkmon that Cheng Yuan had transformed into, and said calmly, "How about we stop here? Although I don't know which of those students' tamers' Digimon you are, the strength and wisdom you have shown have earned my respect and are enough to make you a true opponent to Wizardmon."

He recognized Gatomon, and naturally included Darkmon in the list of Digimon trained in Shanghai.

“Bring your beast tamer over. We can discuss a deal that might be more advantageous to you than to your beast tamer.”

Through the mask of the Dark Beast, Cheng Yuan emitted a hoarse, distorted metallic scraping sound: "What's there to talk about! What's there to talk about with you Japanese devils from the four island nations!"

Upon hearing this, Lin Yu's pupils contracted sharply, and for the first time, a clear look of astonishment appeared on his face: "Digimon have no borders. I never expected that you, a Digimon, would talk about borders."

Cheng Yuan continued cursing, "Damn, just a casual remark, and you really are scum from the four island nations?"

Lin Yu's face instantly darkened: "...You're bluffing me?"

Cheng Yuan brandished his demon sword smugly: "So what if I tricked you? I'll not only trick you, I'll beat you up too! Who gave you the guts to come to Dongguo and cause trouble!"

A flash of anger crossed Lin Yu's eyes, but he quickly suppressed it, revealing a meaningful smile instead: "Heh, what an interesting Digimon. Your tamer is not worthy of you at all. All he can give you are some low-level data fragments and superficial commands."

He tried to recruit you: "Abandon him and follow me. I can take you to a wider world! Learn the profound dimensional magic originating from Wilcheni and experience the true mysteries of power! I can even take you to the underworld, where the purest and most concentrated dark power is available for you to absorb! Follow me, and your future growth will be limitless!"

The Underworld?

Cheng Yuan's heart skipped a beat, and he instantly thought of the Underworld. He tried to get information out of her: "Hmph, all that hype! What Underworld? Never even heard of it!"

Lin Yu smiled proudly: "In our four island nations' 'Reed Island' digital space, there is a relatively stable and safe entrance to the Underworld! As long as you pass through 'Yomihirasaka,' which is connected to Reed Island, even a 'living person' can reach the Underworld. The Underworld is the origin of dark-type Digimon! Countless Digimon like you, filled with darkness and evil, live there. You can grow faster there."

Reed Island! A stable entrance to the Underworld! Cheng Yuan was deeply shocked and firmly memorized the name. It turned out that the four island nations also controlled a passage to the Underworld, and it seemed even safer!

No wonder he can decipher ancient scripts like Guan Yan.

"How about it? Are you tempted?" Lin Yu tempted, "Power, knowledge, endless darkness... these are things that your insignificant beast tamer can't give you."

Cheng Yuan feigned hesitation, then sneered, "No matter how nicely you talk, you're still just someone's dog. I'm free now, why should I believe you?"

"Of course, it's based on my strength." Lin Yu shook his head, seemingly regretting Cheng Yuan's "shortsightedness": "A few Digimon against Wizardmon, what's there to be proud of! Don't think that just because you've defeated Wizardmon, you have no backup plan?"

"Since you're so stubborn, I'll show you the wondrous artifact I've obtained from exploring countless ruins. This artifact is enough to utterly crush you!"

He took a deep breath and took out a digital egg radiating a burning aura of courage from his pocket—the Courage Armor Egg!

"Come on, Wizardmon! Armor of Courage—Evolve!" (Yoshima's words)

A dazzling light enveloped the injured Wizardmon!

Its form underwent a dramatic change in the light; the staff became like burning lava, the robe turned red, flame patterns appeared, and its aura surged wildly!

[Wealth Points -100]

【Flame Wizard Beast】

【Virus - Demon Type】

[Armored Body - Mature Stage]

[Skills: Explosive Fireball, Lava Storm, Flame of Courage, Enhanced Spatial Magic...]

[Status: An Armored Digimon evolved from the power of the "Digital Spirit of Courage," possessing greatly enhanced fire and magical powers. It has a volatile personality, its heart is filled with evil negative energy, and its strength is almost at the Ultimate level!]

A powerful pressure swept over us!

However, just as Lin Yuzhi was feeling smug and preparing to enjoy the other person's terrified expression—

"Tsk, what's there to be so proud of..."

Cheng Yuan's next move almost made his eyes pop out and his heart stop!

The Dark Beast then pulled out an identical armored egg, gleaming with the light of courage, encapsulated it into a chip, inserted it into the Arc Light Machine, and shouted in perfect Eastern Mandarin:

"Our turn! Gatomon - Armor of Courage, evolve!"

Lin Yu: "???"

Chapter 195 Light in Desperate Circumstances

Lin Yu's face showed shock as if a mountain had collapsed, an unbelievable shock!

His gaze was fixed on the Arc Machine in the Dark Beast's hand, which was guiding the evolution of the armor!

How could a Digimon possibly use the Arc Machine, a weapon exclusive to Tamers?!

An absurd yet uniquely logical idea struck his mind like lightning, making him scream:

"You...you're not a Digimon?! You're a Tamer?!" His voice was shrill and distorted with extreme shock, his face filled with "This is impossible."

The ability to transform into such a powerful Digimon, and to use the Arc Machine for armor evolution... has completely overturned his understanding of the Beast Tamer system!

Beneath the mask, Cheng Yuan curled his lip and replied in a hoarse, metallic voice, "Tsk, so much nonsense."

Facing the Flame Wizard Beast, whose aura was surging and was almost at its complete form, Cheng Yuan dared not be careless in the slightest.

The opponent was already cunning and difficult to deal with before evolving, and its strength is now vastly different after evolving!

With a thought, a dark shadow condensed beside him, and the Armored Spirit Sea Dragon Beast was summoned once more, letting out a low roar.

Many beasts have great strength.

"Lynx!" Cheng Yuan whispered.

Amidst the glow of evolution, the mighty lynx roared with its head held high, its body ablaze with the fire of courage, ready for battle.

Lin Yu stared intently at the black sea dragon beast, which had clearly shrunk in size but remained unchanged in form, and immediately recognized it as his teammate's partner! Now, he wondered what strange method the other party had used to transform it into a dark beast for his use!

Not only can he transform himself into a powerful unknown Digimon, but he can also summon (transform) other Digimon, and even possess the same Armor of Courage that he obtained by exploring ruins with great effort...

The mysterious enemy before him, the secrets he held, made Lin Yu's heart pound with greed!

"Hahaha! Hahaha!" Lin Yu suddenly burst into wild laughter. "Good! Excellent! As long as I defeat you and extract your secret, all this power will be mine!"

"Flame Wizard Beast! Crush them!" he commanded, his eyes burning with a mad, intense passion.

The battle erupted instantly!

After evolving, Flame Wizardmon experienced a qualitative leap in strength!

Not only does it perfectly inherit all of Wizardmon's bizarre spatial magic and illusions, but its [Sky-Splitter Blade] is even denser and sharper, [Blink] has almost no cooldown, and [Spatial Shield] is as solid as steel! Even more terrifying is the wondrous fusion of its magic with the blazing flame power originating from the "Digital Spirit of Courage"!

[Exploding Fireball] crashes down like a meteor shower, the shockwave of the explosion mixed with the power to distort space!

The lava storm swept past, and the scorching lava fragments were able to track Cheng Yuan's footsteps and erupt beneath him!

It can even cast [Flame of Courage] to enchant itself and its staff, so that every ordinary magical attack and physical attack is inflicted with soul-scorching fire damage and a knockback effect!

Its physique has also been greatly enhanced, its movements are more swift, and its ability to withstand and control magical energy is far greater than before!

With its near-perfect power and combined with Wilcheni's profound magic, Flame Wizardmon displayed overwhelming strength!

The lynx's [Courageous Claws] and [Holy Light Impact] are often deflected by [Spatial Shield] or shattered by [Sky-Splitting Blade] before they can even get close. Its proud speed is also inadequate in the face of the opponent's almost blind-spot-free [Blink] and area-of-effect magic.

The Armored Seadramon's [Black Ice Arrow] and [Breath of Frost] were completely countered by the raging flames. The chilling breath it spewed out was evaporated by the intense heat before it could even take shape. Its massive body became the perfect target, and it was riddled with wounds by [Exploding Fireball] and [Sky-Splitting Blade]. Finally, it let out a mournful cry and was forced to turn into a streak of black light and retreat into Cheng Yuan's armor to recuperate. However, its massive and resilient body also shielded Cheng Yuan from a lot of fatal damage.

The lynx was also caught off guard and struck by the edge of the [Sky-Splitting Blade]. It let out a miserable cry and fell into the lava storm. After escaping the lava storm, its body was surrounded by flickering evolutionary light. Due to excessive energy consumption, it was forced to regress into a puppy in its growth stage and fell weakly at Cheng Yuan's feet.

"Little dog beast!" Cheng Yuan's heart tightened.

To protect the weakened puppy beast beneath his feet, Cheng Yuan, who was already stretched thin, was further restricted in his movements.

The Dark Beast's body became the best shield, taking the brunt of several attacks from [Sky-Splitting Blade] and [Exploding Fireball]!

Cracks and charred marks covered the jet-black bone armor, and data fragments kept escaping from the wounds. Cheng Yuan could feel his consciousness beginning to blur, and maintaining the Dark Beast form became extremely difficult, as if it would completely disintegrate at any moment.

However, the tenacity of him and his lynx pair far exceeded the expectations of Flame Wizardmon and Lin Yu.

With its energy level nearly reaching its ultimate form and its advanced magical skills, Flame Wizardmon should theoretically be able to easily defeat several Champion-level monsters.

However, its energy reserves were almost depleted under this intense magical bombardment, its aura began to become unstable, the frequency of its [Blink] skill decreased significantly, and the light of its [Spatial Shield] dimmed considerably.

Cheng Yuan has managed to hold on until now entirely thanks to the super-strong defense of the Dark Beast Armor, the eeriness of [Ghost Shift], the occasional energy feedback absorbed by [Blood Evolution], and his willpower to protect his partner at all costs!

Just then, deep within Cheng Yuan's mind, Mo's cold voice rang out again, this time with unprecedented seriousness:

“Cheng Yuan, you cannot defeat it in your current state. Before you are completely defeated, temporarily hand over your body to me for control. With my knowledge of Wilcheni magic, there may still be a glimmer of hope for victory.”

Cheng Yuan did not respond, continuing to parry the attacks with difficulty.

Mo seemed somewhat anxious, his tone becoming more solemn: "I can guarantee it! After the victory, I will immediately return control of your body to you! Moreover, even if I have any ulterior motives, you will definitely find a way to take back the body; I have already experienced this deeply. Now we are one; if you die, I will also be trapped in eternal imprisonment and silence. I don't want to see you die at the hands of this thief from the four island nations!"

These words were spoken with such sincerity that even the usually dissenting Yaodao was unusually silent, refraining from any sarcastic remarks, seemingly convinced as well.
