Lin Xuanqi walked on by herself, looking at the road without saying a word.

So no one spoke again, and the three of them remained in this state as they climbed the teaching building, until Shen Xi wanted to continue up the stairs.

"Oh, right, trash, look at me." The aloof girl stood on two steps and suddenly turned around.

When the boy looked at her as if he had sensed something, the girl just stared at him without saying a word, her pretty face expressionless, and she didn't make any move. After a pause of a second, she turned and left, as if nothing had happened.

Cheng Fei hesitated, as if he wanted to say something but then stopped.

Lin Xuanqi frowned slightly as she gazed at the slender figure with an ambiguous expression. "Husband, what does she mean?"

The boy shook his head and turned to walk towards the classroom.

Lin Xuanqi quickly followed.

In the classroom, Chen Hao became increasingly alarmed when he noticed the two appearing side by side again, and he slapped Du Xinhua, who was playing a mobile game next to him, on the shoulder.

Cheng Fei sat down in his seat, and Lin Xuanqi also sat down. Then she turned around and silently watched the boy, her hands clenched on her lap.

After a moment of awkward silence, the boy, who was tidying up his belongings, casually asked, "Did she send you yesterday?"

"I originally wanted to ask her to meet me after school, but she said she had a club activity, so I thought I'd go check it out," Lin Xuanqi said softly after a moment's hesitation.

The boy thought for a moment, then nodded tentatively, "Mm."

The girl looked at him cautiously, and seeing that he didn't seem inclined to say anything more, a hint of hesitation appeared between her brows. "I heard everything you said."

"Oh," the boy replied calmly.

956. Lin Xuanqi is no longer afraid of Cheng Fei.

Lin Xuanqi rested her chin on her arm, leaned over the edge of the boy's desk, and looked at him with her head tilted. Then she sighed softly, her brows furrowing slightly as if she were lamenting, "Cheng Fei, you really love her."

"Good to know." The young man nodded casually.

"I..." The girl opened her mouth, stared into the void and fell silent. After a moment, she spoke again, "I still want to go back to the way things were before with you."

"Now that we know it's like this, do you think it's possible?" The boy shook his head and put away the things he had just organized.

"What I mean is, like before, she is her, and I am me. You used to be with both of us at the same time, so let's pretend that what happened during this period never happened, okay?" Lin Xuanqi asked cautiously.

"You should have heard that, right? I'm not going to let you take her place as her girlfriend again." The boy frowned as he looked at her.

"I didn't mean to take her place." Lin Xuanqi met the boy's gaze, her eyes, reddened at the corners, conveying a sense of submission. She muttered softly, as if complaining, "Then this time, let her be my girlfriend, okay?"

The young man looked at her, his gaze shifting slightly. "Miss Lin, there's really no need to force yourself like this."

"I didn't force you. I think it's fine. You spend time with her when you should, and with me when you should. That's how it's always been. We're all happy when we don't know anything, right?" The girl said, gritting her teeth, her voice muffled as if she was unconvinced. "Just consider it as me taking what I owed her before, and now I'm returning it to her, okay?"

"What do you mean, 'accompany you' or 'accompany her'? What do you take me for?" the boy said irritably.

Lin Xuanqi stared at him, her lips twitching slightly, a hint of schadenfreude in her expression. She quickly straightened up and said in a low voice, "You used to be like this, spending time with me when she wasn't around, and with her when I wasn't around."

"What did you say?" the boy asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Honey, I was wrong." The girl's eyes darted around, one second she was obedient, the next she was restless. "So, is it okay or not? I just want you to be with me like before, I don't want anything else."

"Wake up, Lin Xuanqi." The boy's indifferent expression remained unchanged.

“I’m perfectly sober.” The girl stared at him stubbornly. “So you’re still angry and want to teach me a lesson. Once you’ve calmed down and don’t hate me anymore, you’ll forgive me, right?”

"You." The boy hesitated, then stopped.

"Isn't that what you said to Shen Xi yesterday? You said you couldn't bear to part with me, and that you would get back together with me as long as Shen Xi agreed." Lin Xuanqi said, a look of smug joy on her face.

"I said that? There's a limit to how far you can take things out of context." The boy was a little shocked. "What I told her was that I would put her first no matter what, and even if something unfortunate happened a trillion times over, I would get her consent first."

"What do you mean by 'what if something unexpected happens even if we take a trillion steps back'? You just can't bear to part with me but you're afraid of her. As long as you appease her, you'll be with me again." The girl lowered her head and blinked at him.

“You’ve got it wrong, I didn’t mean that.” The boy said without hesitation.

"Then what do you mean by saying you can't refuse me?" Lin Xuanqi leaned forward slightly, getting closer to him.

"It means I'm kind-hearted and don't want to bully a weak little girl like you." The boy looked down at her expressionlessly.

"You're kind-hearted? I could say I'm kind-hearted too, you just can't bear to part with me." The girl rolled her eyes. "You say she's cute, but I'm not? I'm not only cute, I'm mature too, you said that yourself."

As she spoke, she straightened her upper body, raised her chin, and puffed out her chest in a defiant manner towards the boy.

"That was just to make you happy, why did you take it seriously?" The boy's gaze swept over her full curves, then immediately looked away with a puzzled expression.

"Tch, I can accept that you're just trying to coax me, but how much time have we been together? When you were hugging and kissing me all night, was that also trying to make me happy? I was disgusted by your saliva." Lin Xuanqi blushed and crossed her arms, shivering as if she had remembered something.

"Sorry, I've always been attracted to girls with small breasts, that's why I love Shen Xi." The boy retorted without backing down.

The girl laughed mockingly, "Then I'll go ask Xiaoshuang and Nagasaki Asuna. I want to see if you'll touch them..."

"Tsk, you better stop now." The boy became annoyed.

"So, do you want to get back together with me? If you agree, you can do whatever you want to me, just like before, okay?" The girl leaned closer to him, relentlessly pressing him.

"Not interested? Don't dream about it." The boy simply pulled out a book to read.

"So you're still angry and want me to keep bothering you until you forgive me," the girl said with certainty.

"Don't flatter yourself. I just want to keep my distance from you." The boy stared at his book, refusing to look at her.

"If you really wanted to keep your distance from me, you wouldn't have given Shen Xi any warnings." The girl peeked into his field of vision, giving off a feeling of pressing him closer.

“I didn’t give her any warnings, I just wanted to put her at ease,” the boy emphasized.

"That's two different things. Anyway, I heard everything, so yelling at me won't change anything," the girl snorted.

The boy took a breath. "Don't force me to do it."

"Okay, go ahead and hit me. Hit me, and the pain will hurt you. No wonder you hit me so lightly that day, hehe." The girl tilted her head and brought her face close to his, her naturally charming face becoming all smiles, without a trace of fear.

The boy stared intently at her, his eyelids twitching.

Just then, the urgent preparatory bell rang, breaking the lazy atmosphere of the morning classroom.

"I don't want to waste my breath on you, turn back." The boy sighed, pinching his brow.

"Fine, I'll go ahead. You're my husband, so you get to decide, hmph." The girl stood up defiantly, moved her chair back to the front, and sat down.

Soon, when the second bell rang, the homeroom teacher, Zhao Ya, walked into the classroom, attracting everyone's attention.

The boy in the corner of the classroom, sitting by the window, glanced at the arrogant girl's listless back as she taught the class. He listened to the math problems on the podium while shifting his gaze to the books in front of him.

As soon as the bell rang for the end of the last get out of class in the morning, Cheng Fei immediately got up and, together with his group, skillfully headed to the cafeteria.

Chen Hao was talking about the corridor again, his face beaming with excitement, as if he had switched from the basketball club to the gaming club. Du Xinhua and the vice class monitor were also very interested. The three-person team seemed to have made a lot of progress these past two days.

"Internet addict." Zhou Han said with disdain, moving slightly closer to Cheng Fei as if drawing a line between them, seemingly forgetting what the Corridor Research Department was all about.

The boy in the middle, with his hands in his pockets, seemed distracted and didn't participate in any of the conversation.

Just as Cheng Fei was about to rejoin the group who had split up to get their food, carrying a steaming bowl of braised chicken rice, a familiar, petite figure blocked his way.

Ye Shuang stared at the boy with a cold expression.

Lin Xuanqi followed behind with her hands behind her back, pretending to look around at the scenery.

Soon enough, Cheng Fei sat down in an empty seat in the corner, head down, devouring his braised chicken, not even looking up as if it were some kind of delicacy.

The obedient girl sat upright in front of him, staring at him with a slight frown. Lin Xuanqi, standing beside him, propped her chin up with one hand, a faint smile playing on her lips, looking like she was watching a show.

"You scumbag, is it really that delicious?" Ye Shuang's clear voice was soft and seductive.

"What is it, Master Ye? Please speak." The young man seemed to wake from a dream, put down his chopsticks and looked at her.

"When are you going to tutor me?" the obedient girl asked in a muffled voice.

"Tutoring?" The boy glanced at Lin Xuanqi next to him and coughed lightly. "I have adaptive training this weekend, so I might not have time. How about we make it up next week?"

"No, you promised me you'd make it up once a week." The obedient girl stomped her foot and stared intently at him.

"Master Ye, you're clearly a delinquent girl, when did you become so motivated and ambitious?" The boy's surprise seemed genuine.

"I'm not a delinquent girl." Ye Shuang glared at him, raising her voice, "You forced me to learn before, and now you're not teaching me anymore?"

“Master Ye, it’s pretty good that you’re consistently ranking around 200th in the monthly exams. As the old saying goes, the master leads you through the door, but the practice is up to you. Just like you’ve stopped teaching me combat skills, I can’t keep tutoring you forever.” The boy shook his head and sighed.

"You mean you're not going to tutor me anymore?" The obedient girl's eyes reddened, and her pretty face with its delicate features looked pitiful.

The boy choked up, "That's not what I meant. It's okay to make up for it occasionally."

"Then when exactly?" the girl asked immediately.

"Anyway, it's not today. We'll let you know later." The boy nodded to himself after saying that and continued eating.

"I don't need further notice, you decide quickly." The girl's voice became muffled, with a kind of resentment that only came when the two of them were alone.

"Master Ye, please don't do this." The young man felt a chill run down his spine.

"Is it that you just don't want Miss to go to tutoring?" Ye Shuang gritted her teeth.

"Master Ye, you admit you wanted to take her to tutoring classes while you were at it?!" The young man spoke as if he had just revealed a major secret.

"That's exactly what I meant!" the obedient girl raised her voice.

"No, I refuse." The boy shook his head in a second.

"You scumbag, do you really want me, do you want me..." Ye Shuang stammered, biting her lip and looking around, unable to continue.

“Master Ye, you mustn’t.” The young man looked around and then at Lin Xuanqi, raising his hand to interrupt her.

The obedient girl opened her mouth, a little anxious, hesitated for a moment, then looked to her side, "Miss, you go first, I'll talk to him alone."

"Well... alright, thank you for your hard work." The arrogant girl hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

"It's okay." The obedient girl quickly lowered her head and shook it.

This made the boy observing the two of them on the other side look uneasy.

Lin Xuanqi took a couple of bites and then threw away the plate before leaving, probably in a hurry to make room for Ye Shuang.

After Lin Xuanqi walked away, Cheng Fei sighed, "Master Ye, I never expected you to be like this."

"What's wrong with me?" the obedient girl asked, staring at him intently.

"I thought you had reformed after all this time, how come you're still working as her maid?" The young man looked heartbroken.

"I'm not a maid!" Ye Shuang raised her voice, then paused, "I said I would help Miss, and I've already helped you enough before."

"Master Ye, don't you think what you're doing is a bit..." The young man rubbed his chin, looking as if he wanted to say something but hesitated.

The obedient girl didn't say anything, her crystal tears welling up in her eyes as she just looked at him.

The boy's expression hardened. "You're wrong. My Master Ye is well-behaved, cute, and has a strong sense of justice. She's definitely not some wicked girl with ulterior motives."

"Anyway, I'm going to take Miss to tutoring. You figure it out." Ye Shuang wiped her eyes haphazardly, her tone conveying a sense of resignation.

The boy fell silent as he mixed his rice with the rich broth from the braised chicken.

The obedient girl remained silent, her small hands clenched tightly in her private area.

The two remained locked in a stalemate until, after a moment, the boy let out a sigh.

“If Master Ye really insists on this, it’s not impossible. I’m spoiling you.” Cheng Fei smacked his lips.

"Then what do you mean?" Ye Shuang asked suspiciously.

"However, helping others comes at a price. Is Master Ye sure you've thought this through?" the young man asked casually.

"What price?" The obedient girl seemed to sense something, and a hint of unease appeared on her face. Her straight legs, encased in white over-the-knee socks, subconsciously pressed together.

……

When Cheng Fei returned to the classroom, Lin Xuanqi was already slumped over her desk, looking lost and preoccupied.

"Ye Shuang asked me to bring this to you." The boy casually tossed a pineapple bun onto her desk, sat down expressionlessly, and began to busy himself as usual.

The haughty girl blinked at the pineapple bun on the table, a look of disbelief flashing in her reddish eyes. She straightened up abruptly, turned around, and stared intently at the boy.

"I'm busy, don't bother me, thank you. If you want to be ordered, just get yourself a test paper to do." The boy didn't even look up.

"How did your chat with Xiaoshuang go?" Lin Xuanqi thought for a moment and tilted her head.

"Not good at all, Miss Lin. Can't you have any shame? You even ordered her to do this kind of thing?" The young man's tone was impatient.

"Xiaoshuang and I have a good relationship, is that not allowed?" Lin Xuanqi slowly tore open the packaging in her hand and stared at the pineapple bun.
