“In that case, let’s replan the route and make sure we reach our destination as quickly as possible,” Shen Xi said earnestly, turning her head.
"Also, I think it would be best to find a safe island to stop and repair the ship first." Nagasaki Asuna looked at the hole in the bridge that had been punched through and the gap in the hull that could easily lead to the ship falling into the sea of clouds.
Just then, a hesitant, childish voice rang out, "When will I be free?"
Because of his height, the shadowy figure, who had been trying to eavesdrop on the edge of the table, blinked his ruby-like eyes and observed the group.
"Don't you want to be with us, An?" Nagasaki Asuna paused, then leaned down to look at her.
“Little Dark…you promised we could be free.” The blonde half-elf stared blankly for a moment, then shook her head violently.
Shen Xi looked at Cheng Fei expressionlessly.
Cheng Fei coughed lightly, "I'll set you free once we reach the next inhabited continent, no problem, right?"
“Good!” Shadow’s eyes lit up.
Nagasaki Asuna watched from the sidelines, hesitant to speak.
"Um, Shen Xi, I know you and Cheng Fei made a promise, but it's too dangerous for Xiao An to wander alone like this, don't you think?" She turned her serious gaze to Shen Xi.
"It has nothing to do with me. Blame the sins committed by certain people." Shen Xi sneered, turning her face away to avoid meeting her gaze.
“Cheng Fei.” Nagasaki Asuna turned her head again.
"Ahem, don't worry, Teacher Shen, I will definitely not keep her by my side." The boy looked at Shen Xi but not at Nagasaki Asuna.
“You two are really…” Nagasaki Asuna sighed softly, glanced at the shadow, and said, “Never mind, let’s talk about it later.”
The shadow seemed oblivious to the three's conversation, its eyes fixed on the empty map, gleaming as if anticipating a future life of freedom.
Leia also silently stared at the empty map.
In the quiet atmosphere, Cheng Fei suddenly asked, "If I may ask, are you feeling hungry?"
"Huh, I actually feel hungry. So we can get hungry too?" Nagasaki Asuna's eyes widened in surprise.
"Could it be that I've been away from the corridor for too long?" Cheng Fei wondered.
"That's stupid nonsense. Stands aren't perpetual motion machines. Of course, they need to eat to get energy after leaving the lock." Shen Xi said with a look of disgust.
Leia looked at the three of them with a surprised and uncertain expression.
Asuna Nagasaki tilted her head and smiled, "You should be able to tell that we're not normal humans, so don't worry about it."
Leia nodded silently.
"Little Dark is hungry too!" Shadow raised his hand.
"There are some dry rations prepared in the cabin. I'll go get them now." Nagasaki Asuna walked towards the stairs.
So the five of them had their first meal before setting sail.
After replenishing their energy, Cheng Fei and the other two planned their journey and decided to log off.
"Leya, the boat is yours while we sleep. We'll wake up in about half a day, so don't worry," Nagasaki Asuna instructed.
"I understand," the elven girl nodded quickly.
"Also, remember this guy is crazy." Cheng Fei pulled Shadow in front of her. "Don't let her touch any sharp weapons, and it's best to keep an eye on her at all times."
"Little Dark isn't crazy!" Shadow protested.
Leia nodded in agreement.
"We're leaving now, bye-bye." Nagasaki Asuna waved to her.
As Leia and Shadow, one big and one small, watched them go, the three headed to the lower cabin, where faint voices could be heard.
"Teacher Shen, how about we hug each other and log off?"
Stop dreaming.
"What's the big deal? It's not like we haven't hugged each other before."
"Shut up, I don't want to throw up as soon as I log on."
"That's ridiculous. I've never seen you throw up the morning after a regular meeting."
"Do you want those three to see you?"
"It's okay, they are all trustworthy."
"Then I'll refuse."
"Teacher Shen, let me think about it again."
"The conclusion after consideration is a refusal, Cheng Fei. Don't make me angry."
"Well, why don't you two continue chatting? I'll log off now."
……
Cheng Fei took off his infiltration helmet and opened WeChat to send a message to his friend Xiao A.
"Sweetie, don't lock the bedroom door from the inside, I'm here for our routine meeting."
"Today's routine meeting was already held online, so there's no need for any pretense."
"Teacher Shen, I don't understand the meaning of 'hypocritical'."
"Ha, they're putting on an act again."
"Huh? What does that mean?"
"I'm sleepy, please stop messaging me."
"First of all, as my little darling, you have no right to refuse my messages. Secondly, I'm here now, so you can wait and see if you're sleepy, Shen Xi."
After posting this message, the boy put down his phone, changed his clothes, and went out.
The message keeps popping up unilaterally on WeChat.
"Cheng Fei!"
"I've locked the door, please don't come any closer."
"Did you hear me? I locked the door!"
"You piece of trash!"
Cheng Fei arrived at the thirty-sixth floor across the street, opened the familiar door, and found the room quiet.
White suede ankle boots and pink sneakers were placed on either side of the entryway, both in small sizes, spotless and indescribably pleasing to the eye.
Based on their placement, the boy guessed that the ankle boots belonged to Shen Xi and the sneakers belonged to Nagasaki Asuna.
He walked through the brightly lit hallway to the familiar bedroom door, turned the doorknob, and failed.
"Shen Xi, you really locked the door?" The boy was shocked and started knocking.
"I told you I wouldn't open the door for you." A muffled voice came from behind the door.
"Teacher Shen, is this really necessary? Can we talk about it in bed?" the boy said to her through the door.
"No." The girl said coldly.
"Shen Xi, something seems off about you. What have you been thinking about these past few days?"
"Shut up. First of all, I'm not thinking anything. Secondly, please disappear now. I'm going back to bed. Goodbye."
"Teacher Shen, stop pretending. Do you think you'd be asleep if I didn't leave? You'd definitely be hiding behind the door waiting for me to talk to you." The boy shook his head and sighed.
A few seconds passed without a response.
"Shen Xi".
I waited for half a minute, but there was no response.
"Shen Xi?"
There has still been no response.
"Teacher Shen?"
"Little cutie?"
"your Highness?"
"Your Majesty?"
Several minutes passed without any response.
"Could he really be asleep?" Cheng Fei stared at the closed door, lost in thought.
376. Shen Xi was unwilling to attend the regular meeting.
Just as Cheng Fei was starting to think about finding another reason to get his hands on Shen Xi's bedroom key, the door on the other side of the corridor opened, and Nagasaki Asuna walked over, tilting her head and making a shushing gesture.
She first threw herself into the boy's arms and rubbed against him, then squinted her eyes, stood on tiptoe, and desperately absorbed the antidote before pursing her lips and stepping back. She took a deep breath and said casually, "Cheng Fei, don't pay any attention to her. How about you go to my room to sleep?"
Less than a second after the girl finished speaking, the door in front of them clicked open.
Shen Xi stood inside, her brows furrowed, her face radiating coldness and disgust. "You vixen, I'm warning you, don't cause any trouble over there. My patience has its limits."
"Yes, yes, I was wrong. You've finally opened the door. Here's your Cheng Fei back." Nagasaki Asuna gave a perfunctory yawn and turned to go back to her room.
Shen Xi's expression changed, and she immediately tried to close the door, but the doorknob was grabbed by the boy outside the door first, and she couldn't push it open with her strength.
Under the girl's murderous gaze, the boy squeezed in, closed and locked the door, turned and walked to the bed, patting his own pillow that was still in its place.
Once he was comfortably seated against the headboard, the boy sighed contentedly and looked at the girl who was staring intently at him. "Teacher Shen, are you planning to stand guard over there tonight?"
The room was deathly silent.
After a moment, Shen Xi squinted and walked to the other side of the bed, pulled back the covers and lay down, staring at the ceiling in silence.
Cheng Fei first looked down at her displeased little face, then looked up at the ceiling, and asked seriously, "Teacher Shen, do you hate the ceiling that much?"
"Excuse me, but what I hate is some marine debris that disrespects my opinions, forcibly barges into my room, and sleeps on my bed." Shen Xi seemed to be cursing the ceiling.
“Teacher Shen, let me remind you, you decided on the weekly meeting, and you also decided to hold it in bed. Don’t you think it’s too willful of you to just change it to online?” The boy looked at her and shrugged.
"You're always good at twisting the truth, so now it's become you keeping your promise and me going back on my word?" Shen Xi sneered at the ceiling.
"That's the truth, based on the facts." The boy rubbed his chin.
"Cheng Fei, if you insist on coming, then straighten out your attitude. If you keep this up, I'll really get angry." Shen Xi frowned.
"Could it be that they really have a problem with me?" The boy looked exaggeratedly surprised.
"Still haven't realized the seriousness of the problem? Oh well, it's not worth wasting time and energy on a hypocritical aquatic mammal like you." Shen Xi turned her back to him. "Please turn off the light, I'm going to sleep."
"Okay." The boy turned off the light as instructed and lay down facing the girl. "Sweetie, can you turn over?"
"nausea."
"Ms. Shen, please turn around so we can begin our meeting." The boy looked at her back.
"The meeting is over, no need for this pretense," the girl said coldly, remaining motionless.
"Shen Xi, if you don't cooperate, I'll pin you down and kiss you forcefully. I'm not kidding."
"Cheng Fei, how dare you?" The girl stared at the window, gritting her teeth.
"I'll count to three, and you'll see if I dare."
"Cheng Fei, so now you're openly threatening me like this?" Shen Xi suddenly rolled over, turning 180 degrees to face the boy, glaring fiercely in the darkness.
"It was just a trick to get you to turn around, Your Highness, please calm down." The boy said with a relaxed expression.
"That doesn't change the fact that you're threatening me." The girl kicked him from under the covers, her small, delicate feet cool and soft.
"I won't really force a kiss on you, don't worry. Even if you ignore me, I definitely won't do anything to you." The boy looked at her nonchalantly.
"That sounds nice, but who knows what you would have done if I hadn't turned around." The girl kicked him again.
"Teacher Shen, in your eyes, am I really that unreasonable and disregard your opinions?" the boy asked in surprise.
"Isn't that right?"
"You actually think that way? I've always regarded you as my real princess and revered you."
