Crossover: A Different Inuyasha

The iron-black armor was covered with crisscrossing slashes, and several armor plates had cracked and peeled off due to the cold air, revealing the new skin and wounds that had not yet fully healed.
The demonic power around him flickered faintly, like a lamp about to burn out.
He raised his head, his brows and eyes still retaining the sharpness and vigor of his youth, but the frostbite marks made him look somewhat old.
Donglan took two steps forward, her boots making a soft, crisp sound as they stepped on the ice.
She stopped less than ten feet away from her father, looked up at her still tall father even though he was kneeling, and the cold flames surging in her pupils had subsided considerably.
A complex luster, imbued with both moonlight and weariness, rose from the depths of his eyes.
"Father, it's all over."
"Finish?"
"What nonsense are you talking about!"
Qin Fang, who was kneeling, suddenly shuddered, and her right arm, covered in frost, abruptly rose.
With his five fingers spread, dark red demonic power condensed in his palm into a scorching ball of light, which blasted straight toward Dong Lan's face.
"I am a great monster!"
"The only end is the underworld!"
The distance is too close.
too little time.
Almost no one had time to react.
But Dong Lan seemed to have anticipated this attack. She clenched her five fingers together, and the chill around her surged again—like a glacier whose bottom had been pierced, all the coldness poured out and converged on Qin Fang's suddenly rising figure.
The icy blue chill climbed up Qin Fang's arms, shoulder armor, and breastplate, freezing his activated demonic power, along with his still-undeveloped form, at the starting point.
The light of the demonic power flickered twice inside the ice layer, like a flame trapped in amber, struggling for a moment before being completely swallowed up by the layers of accumulated cold.
Half of Qin Fang's face still bore the savage and resolute expression of his outburst.
But those expressions, the moment they were covered by the ice, were frozen into history, sealed beneath a shell of ice several meters thick.
Donglan stood in front of the frozen figure and slowly withdrew her hand.
As her power waned, the Winter Bone Armor gradually faded, and ice crystals began to shatter and fall off from her shoulder armor, like a layer of frost blown away by the wind, breaking into tiny starlight along her back and arms, dissipating in the moonlight.
There was a fresh scratch on her cheek, not very deep, but with a faint red tinge, which was particularly clear in the moonlight.
"Father, when you wake up next time, you will witness a different us."
Donglan lacked the resolve to kill Qin Fang with her own hands, but she was very bold in sealing him away.
After all, time will solve all the problems that cannot be solved at the moment.
"Miss!"
Shouts came from behind.
Chunlan's cat tail stretched into a straight line behind her, and her paws stomped through the snow and gravel, making a rapid and chaotic sound.
He rushed to Donglan in a few steps, grabbed her frost-covered sleeve, and shouted excitedly once again.
"Big sister—!"
Chunlan's eyes were red, but her mouth was wide open, like a cat that had been soaked in the rain for too long and was finally found. Her whole body seemed to be fighting between the two emotions of "I thought you were never coming back" and "You're back".
The pro-China faction has long held sway.
If Donglan hadn't insisted that "the leopard cat should handle its own affairs," she would have wanted to find Inuyasha, charm him, and get him to suppress the enemy.
Xia Lan bumped into them from behind, spreading her arms wide and encircling Dong Lan and Chun Lan together. She slammed her chin on Dong Lan's shoulder with such force that Dong Lan almost stumbled to the side.
Qiu Lan led the leopard cats at the back.
No one cheered loudly, nor did anyone laugh wildly, but the hushed whispers, filled with lingering fear and relief, spread like a tide among them, echoing between the moonlight and the remaining snow.
Donglan looked down at Chunlan's hand clutching her sleeve, then glanced up at Xialan's hair framing her shoulder, finally settling on Qiulan's honest smile, and laughed brightly.
"Everyone!"
Dong Lan strode forward, stopped in front of the frozen Qin Fang, and with a flick of her sleeve, her resounding voice echoed clearly through the forest.
"Past glories are no longer worth mentioning."
Having established his prestige as a hegemon of the old era, Dong Lan's gaze swept across the crowd, and everyone bowed their heads in awe.
"We once carved our pride into this land with claws and blood, but those marks have sunk beneath the ice."
"Even if it's brought out again, it will only be melted by the new sun, leaving no trace."
The wind blew through the forest, past the leopard cat and the ice, carrying her lingering voice into the distance.
Dong Lan paused for a moment, her gaze settling down. "Now we must truly embrace—the glory of the new generation!"
"And this glory—"
She raised her hand, fingers spread, palm facing up, as if holding something invisible, letting it float in the moonlight, within everyone's sight.
"I won't keep it all to myself!"
"What a fine way to say you won't keep something to yourself!"
At that moment, a round of applause came from the air.
The leopard cats surrounding Donglan looked in the direction from which the sound came.
Several wary figures even subconsciously lowered their center of gravity, but when they saw the figure flying in under the moonlight, they instantly withdrew their prepared movements and unanimously adopted a different posture.
Jie Luofei landed on the ground and stopped at the edge of the crowd. Her gaze passed over the figures who bowed their heads to make way and landed on Dong Lan, who was surrounded in the middle. She blinked and smiled.
Without much formality, she drew a dark gold scroll from her sleeve and unfurled it in her palm. The paper shimmered with a warm glow under the moonlight, and Inuyasha's source energy seal was pressed along the edge, its lines clearly visible.
Luo Shengjing, the Grand Steward, lowered his eyes to gaze at the words on the scroll and spoke.
"The Divine Decree—"
Everyone except her, including Dong Lan, knelt down on one knee.
"The eldest daughter of the Leopard Cat clan, Donglan, is skilled in defending against enemies and quelling rebellions."
"The Shrine Fighting Division is now established, under the command of Donglan. It is independent of the Eight Divisions of Yama Army and directly under the command of the God Lord."
"The staffing and training of the subordinates are all decided by the head of the fighting department and reported to the shrine for record. Every five years, they can receive a piece of spirit armor!"
After Jie Luo finished reading the last word, he closed the scroll, held it with both hands, and handed it to Dong Lan. When his gaze fell on Dong Lan's excited face, his smile deepened.
"Donglan, receive the order."
The leopard cat tribesmen surrounding Donglan quieted down, all of them filled with longing.
Without hesitation, and without any need for hesitation, Donglan reached out and took the scroll.
"Dong Lan, Lord of the Dou Tribe, obeys the command!"

After Jieluo left, Xia Lan excitedly circled around Dong Lan twice, her cat tail wagging like a dog's tail.
"Big sister, we're going to be rich!"
"One spirit garment every five years, ten every fifty years, and one hundred years—one hundred garments!"
She counted on her fingers twice in front of Dong Lan, and the more she counted, the more she felt that she was right. She raised her eyes from her palms, her gaze sparkling, as if she could see the magnificent scene of leopard cats in the future, each with a spirit garment, dominating the world.
The others were overjoyed to hear this, and even Dong Lan nodded slightly with one hand on her hip—she seemed quite pleased with herself.
"Cough cough."
As the most intellectual among the leopard cats, Chunlan, who was usually excited, was not excited at all when she looked at the illiterate people around her. She covered her mouth with the back of her hand and whispered.
"Twenty items in a hundred years."
"That doesn't matter, there are plenty anyway!"
Upon hearing this, Xia Lan waved her hand, deftly pushing aside the "tiny" error, her smile undiminished.
"Besides, if you make a contribution in the process, the God will give you extra rewards. If you add that up, you'll have a hundred items!"
"That's right, that's right."
Dong Lan nodded in agreement, then reached out and ruffled Xia Lan's hair. When it comes to being lively and cheerful, this younger sister is the ultimate source of joy.
"Therefore, we should work even harder to reach the goal of one hundred items."
His gaze lifted from Xia Lan's head, swept over Chun Lan's pursed lips, passed over Qiu Lan's honest smile, and landed on the clansmen before he raised the appointment scroll high above his head.
"My people!"
"Now that we have gained the favor of the gods, and the reputation of the Fighting Tribe has only just been established, outsiders are waiting to see what we can do."
"Therefore, the first task given by the God was to unravel the mystery of the dream city in the mirror."
"It must be completed perfectly!"
"Meow meow meow—!"
As autumn transitions into winter, a gentle, first snowfall falls on the eaves and torii gates of Ruri Shrine, painting the distant mountain ridges into a pristine white canvas.
However, the shrine remains perpetually spring-like due to the power of the earth's veins gathered by the Roaring Cauldron and the barrier technique developed by Inuyasha.
The green grass and trees on both sides of the stone steps are still lush and green. The wind under the eaves carries a warm dampness as it brushes against your cheeks, creating a wonderful contrast with the first snow falling outside the eaves. It's like a window divided in two, with winter on one side and spring on the other.
It's like the realm of gods and the human world.
The paper door to the side room of the main hall was half-open. Maple and Kikyo sat on either side of a low table, with a dish of freshly baked snacks and two cups of hot tea between them.
The two sisters looked at each other, their eyes smiling, but both felt a little awkward inside.
It's not that I reject them, but rather that I find it difficult to maintain a normal mindset when communicating with them.
To Kikyo, Kaede was like a younger sister who suddenly grew up after waking up, quietly taking over her place.
Moreover, this audacious younger sister even allowed other women to take advantage of her vulnerability, making her utterly incompetent.
Feng's feelings towards his older sister weren't that complicated; his strongest emotion was simply embarrassment.
After that, she simply hoped to rely on the magic of time to make Kikyo accept her.
Being together isn't just for a short while, it's a long, lasting commitment.
The two sisters and Inuyasha lived a comfortable and prosperous life, which was more important than anything else.
"Sister, were you also summoned by Inuyasha?" Just as Kikyo was about to nod when Feng took the initiative to ease the atmosphere, the door was opened.
"Haha, everyone's here."
The half-demon, smiling, entered the room and sat down between them. Without any hesitation, she moved the cushions of the other two women closer to her, using a "semi-coercive" method to bring the three of them closer together.
"Inuyasha!"
"Inuyasha~"
My sister's coquettish tone.
The younger sister's helplessness.
Fortunately, the man did not continue his reckless behavior, which relieved Kikyo and Kaede.
The two sisters glanced at each other subconsciously, then turned their heads away at the same time.
Inuyasha observed their actions and knew that things couldn't be rushed.
He cleared his throat and asked, "Have you heard a story?"
"Once upon a time, there was a celestial maiden who descended to the mortal world under the moonlight and bathed in a hot spring hidden in the mountains."
"The moonlight shone on her shoulders, and the misty vapor looked like a layer of crushed clouds—but a passing man saw the feathered robe hanging on a nearby tree branch, and, overcome by greed, stole the celestial maiden's feathered robe."
"That's exactly the kind of vulgar story you'd tell," Kikyo commented incisively.
Feng reached out to pour tea for the dog and asked curiously, "And then what happened?"
Inuyasha picked up his teacup, took a sip, and continued, "With her robes stolen, the celestial maiden could not return to heaven, and in her rage, she turned her anger on the innocent villagers."
"At that time, blood flowed everywhere and resentment filled the sky. A powerful sorcerer arrived and sealed the celestial maiden into the Mirror of Life."
