Seeing that he could soon return with his fighting force, Jaken lost his initial urgency.

Inuyasha glanced up at the sky.

The dark clouds arrived suddenly and fiercely, and the mountain wind carried the damp, cold, and fishy smell of rain.

Several silver streaks flashed silently across the distant mountain ridge, followed by rumbling thunder.

"Let's find a place to take shelter from the rain up ahead."

The three quickened their pace and passed through a bamboo grove that rustled in the wind.

Jieluo used her hair to probe the way ahead and soon found the cave hidden in the mountain valley.

The cave entrance is small and half-hidden by several clumps of dense bushes, but once you push them aside, you'll find a hidden paradise.

Inside was a natural grotto about two zhang square. The ground was dry, and a few bones left by some unknown animal were scattered in the corner. The entrance was sheltered from the wind and in a very good location.

As soon as the three of them entered the cave, it was as if the sky had been torn open.

The rain poured down.

The raindrops pounded on the rocks at the cave entrance, creating a white mist.

The distant mountains and nearby trees were completely blurred in the rain, and only the rumbling of the rain could be heard between heaven and earth, occasionally interrupted by deafening thunder.

Lightning struck, illuminating the cave entrance brightly, followed by a deafening roar.

"That was close! I almost got soaked to the bone." Xie Jian squatted at the cave entrance, leaning on his man-headed staff, and clicked his tongue in relief as he looked at the rain outside.

Jieluo looked around, wrinkled her nose in disgust, and used the strands of hair that flew from her fingertips to clean up the bones and rubble in the corner.

She then used her hair to sweep a clearing inside the cave before glancing at Inuyasha.

The latter smiled, leaned against the dry, clean rock wall, and sat down cross-legged.

Jieluo beckoned with her finger again.

Dozens of objects wrapped in hair flew in from outside the cave, startling Xie Jian, and landed in the center of the open space.

The loose strands of hair revealed a bundle of dry wood, uniform in thickness and with neat cuts, which Jieluo had picked up along the way.

Upon realizing it wasn't an enemy attack, Xiejian immediately perked up. He rushed to the woodpile, raised the staff with the human head on it, and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Staff with human head, start a fire!"

The old man on the top of the cane opened his mouth, and a fireball shot out, instantly igniting the dry wood.

The staff with human heads is a small magical artifact. As its name suggests, the top of the staff has two human heads facing away from each other; one is the head of an old man, and the other is the head of a woman.

The old man's mouth can breathe fire.

Humans would typically be burned to death by the flames of the staff with the human head, leaving not even a trace of their bodies.

At the same time, the staff with the human head has the ability to locate cemeteries.

The old man laughs when they approach the dog general's grave. If they are in the wrong place, the woman screams.

A burst of orange-red flames shot up, dispelling the chill and darkness of the cave and casting the shadows of the three people, which stretched and dwindled, leaping erratically across the rock face.

Just then, illuminated by the firelight, both Jaken and Jera saw it—

Inuyasha's once silvery-white hair, like the moonlight, was now gradually turning black, starting from the roots.

The silvery white receded like the tide, replaced by a deep, clear, pure black, gleaming with a warm, dark light in the firelight.

The dog ears on its head also shrank and deformed, transforming into ordinary human ears.

"Inu, young master Inuyasha!"

Jaken's eyes widened, and in an instant he guessed that it was Inuyasha's new moon.

Jieluo's pupils contracted slightly as the thought of whether or not to make a move swirled in his mind.

Inuyasha, now in human form, sports long, smooth, jet-black hair like his mother, and wears a lazy smile on his face.

His dark eyes reflected the flickering firelight and the faces of the two people as he spoke.

"It's just the new moon that comes once a month. What, don't you recognize me?"

Upon hearing this, Jaken immediately sprang to his feet.

"Young Master Inuyasha, Jaken will keep this a secret and will absolutely not tell a third person other than Young Master Sesshomaru!"

'Oops, I let it slip!'

'It's over! '

Before Xie Jian could change his mind, Jie Luo, whose expression flickered in and out of the firelight, waved his hand.

Her hair wrapped around Xie Jian's waist, and she flung him out of the cave.

Xie Jian drew a short parabola in the air and fell into the rain with a "plop", his head and face covered in mud and water.

Before he could even get up, the cave entrance was already covered by layers upon layers of hair, so thick that not even a sliver of light could get through.

"Hey! Hey!"

Xie Jian panicked and pounced on the hair barrier, punching and kicking it, yelling, "What do you think you're doing, you female demon! Let me in right now!"

"Today is Inuyasha's new moon... Wait, what are you trying to do!"

The man with wrong views paced anxiously in the rain, his mind racing with the worst thoughts.

As a monster capable of seeing through evil, he could see the entrance to the cave covered by long hair.

What's the use of being able to see it?

If you can't get in, you just can't get in.

He gritted his teeth, took two steps back, raised the staff with the human head and aimed it at the cave entrance, about to shout "Breathe fire!" when Inuyasha's voice came from behind the hair barrier.

"Wrong view, come again at dawn."

The staff with the human head was held in mid-air, and rainwater streamed down its shaft.

Xie Jian opened his mouth, then swallowed the words back down his throat.

He turned away dejectedly, found a rock face that could barely shelter him from the rain, squatted down, curled up into a small ball, and muttered to himself.

Inside the cave, azure flames ignited from Inuyasha's shoulders and waist, hanging down like a cloak, and spreading along his body, gradually weaving into a flame garment covering his entire body.

The flames had no heat; they did not burn rocks or vegetation, yet they filled the cave.

Unique Spirit Armor: Garment of Kagutsuchi.

Yura was lifted high in the air, her neck gripped by Inuyasha's hand, her whole body suspended in mid-air.

Azure flames climbed from Inuyasha's arm up to her body.

It didn't burn an inch of her clothes or scorch a patch of her skin, but it was burning away her demonic power, her physical strength, and her will.

It was a searing pain that reached the very soul, as if one had been thrown into an endless abyss of karmic fire, where every wisp of consciousness wailed in the flames.

Inuyasha looked at Yura.

Bathed in the azure firelight, that human face displayed a coldness somewhat similar to Sesshomaru's, yet the arrogant smirk at the corner of his mouth was so roguish it made one's teeth itch.

"Jie Luo, even if I gave you a chance, it was useless!"

With a flick of his wrist, he threw the female monster to the ground.

Jieluo groaned and rolled half a circle on the cold stone ground, her short, ear-length hair sticking messily to her cheeks.

Inuyasha sat down on the ground, propped up one leg, and rested his arm on his knee.

The flames gradually disappeared from his body, and the orange firelight inside the cave restored the temperature.

He looked down at her.

"Crawl over here, you bastard."

Jieluo lay on the ground, his limbs, scorched by the azure flames, still trembling slightly.

She bit her lower lip, propped herself up on her elbows, and her knees scraped a shallow drag mark on the rough stone ground.

Like a tamed puppy.

With her head down, the shadows of her disheveled short hair obscured all her facial expressions as she slowly crawled beneath Inuyasha.

"Wang Wang~"

She raised her head, and deep within her beautiful pink eyes, a heart seemed to sparkle.

Chapter 11 Brothers Reunited

After a night of rain, the sun shines down.

The air is filled with the fresh scent of earth and new leaves. Water droplets on the leaves sparkle in the morning light, dripping onto puddles and creating tiny ripples.

A bird flapped its wings from a branch, circled twice in low air, and landed lightly on a glossy green head. It pecked at the head with its beak and then rubbed it with its claws.

In his dream, Xiejian wrinkled his nose.

He dreamt that because of his poor performance, Inuyasha was torn apart by Yura, and an angry Sesshomaru was stabbing his head with his sword.

"Lord Sesshomaru... don't poke me anymore, I'll die..."

"It's still because half-demons are useless... If they were like young master Sesshomaru..."

The bird tilted its head and continued pecking.

"Lord Sesshomaru, no..."

Xie Jian suddenly opened his eyes, let out a strange cry, and sprang up from the ground.

The bird was so frightened that it fluttered away and stomped on his head before it left.

Jaken covered his forehead, which was red from being pecked, and grabbed the staff with the human head that had rolled on the ground with his other hand, waving it around in anger.

"How dare a little bird bully Grandpa Evil View! Don't run away if you dare!"

"Achoo!"

Xie Jian roared a few times, then suddenly sneezed and immediately remembered why he had spent the whole night squatting in the rain.

The little demon shuddered and quickly turned to look in the direction of the cave, praying, "I hope it's not Inuyasha's minced flesh, otherwise this is bad."

The hair still covered the cave entrance. Xie Jian circled around twice before deciding to wait there.

Last night's retaliatory attack on Jieluo was an instinctive reaction in a moment of desperation. Now that the storm has passed and the sun has come out, everything that was going to happen has happened.

Jaken, knowing the power of the female demon, did not believe he could avenge Inuyasha.

At most, they would collect his remains afterward to prevent them from being left to rot in the wilderness, and then report the matter to Sesshomaru for a final decision.

Inside the cave, the languid murmurs that had lasted all night slowly ceased. Inuyasha looked at Yura, who resembled a pet, and subconsciously recalled the stunning appearance of her when she first appeared.

'If that's the case with Yura, then... the aloof Kikyo and the courageous Kagome...'

'Phew, I can't think about it too much. How can I confuse my ideal woman with a pet?'

The half-demon, whose demonic power had been restored to his body, glared at the female demon who had disturbed his Dao heart.

First, she experienced a moment of stillness, then she experienced the loss of humanity in Jieluo. Upon noticing her master's gaze, she supported her soft, delicate body and once again assumed the yoga pose—downward-facing dog.

But instead of a sudden shock, she was met with a ball of pale blue flame.

The flames burned away the filth and brought the female demon's confused thoughts back to reality.

Jieluo trembled, and her dazed eyes finally regained their clarity.

She straightened up, her hair brushing against her body, and in the blink of an eye, she regained her usual exquisite yet dangerous appearance.

But when she looked at Inuyasha again, her gaze was like that of a lotus root still attached to him, as if she wanted to stick to him forever, and her voice was soft.

"Young Master~"

"what--"

Upon hearing those two sweet, coquettish words, Inuyasha felt a tingling sensation shoot from his spine straight to the top of his head, raising goosebumps all over his body.

He slapped her on her ample breasts, the crisp sound echoing through the cave.

"Be normal, you old man."

Jieluo covered the spot where she had been slapped, and almost collapsed again as she recalled the memory. Inuyasha didn't care what thoughts were swirling in her mind.

"Open the hole, it's time to get out."
