Kujo Toru picked up his rather unusual schoolbag and stepped out of the house.

This bag is a hiking backpack left by my parents. It has a large capacity, which is perfect for carrying all sorts of odds and ends.

For example, things like shimenawa (sacred rope), samurai sword (divine sword), omamori (amulet), and sword exorcism.

As a high school student who inherited a shrine, Toru Kujo felt it was perfectly reasonable for him to carry these things with him to school.

It's only a little past six o'clock, and the temperature hasn't risen yet; in fact, it's rather cool.

Kujo Toru walked slowly down the street.

Occasionally, you can still see sanitation workers sweeping the streets.

The air was very quiet, with only a few clear birdsongs.

This is why he likes to get up early to go to school—it's cool enough.

If it were a little later, I would start sweating after walking just a few steps.

Part of the reason was that he didn't want to spend money on bus fare.

The dog system will consume all the offerings he receives, making it impossible for him to withdraw them.

This meant that the only money he could use was from living off Hiratsuka Shizuka and from the regular offerings from his long-time customer, the goddess.

As for using supernatural powers to make money, Kujo Toru did seriously consider the feasibility, but ultimately gave up.

He was not confident that he would not reveal himself.

The authority on marksmanship and ballistics is still valid.

Besides, if he could encounter a third-rate psychic like the Goddess, then there are probably many more people with similar psychic powers hiding beneath the surface world.

The risk is too great.

Just play it safe and slowly grind experience points; there's no need to risk your life for a little money.

But if you happen to run into a rich but unlucky guy, you might be able to find a way to squeeze a lot of money out of him.

As Kujo Toru walked toward the school, his mind wandered freely.

As he passed the bus stop, a beautiful figure caught his attention.

Her long silver hair danced in the breeze.

His blue eyes scanned everyone who passed by.

Her delicate features were like those of an elf.

Once you catch a glimpse of it, it's hard to look away.

Beneath the pleated skirt, her plump thighs were marked with slight lines from the black stockings.

Isn't she from Haneyama High School? How did she end up in the Soubu High School area?

Kujo Toru was somewhat puzzled.

Just then, the other person turned their gaze in their direction, and their eyes immediately lit up.

A sweet smile appeared on her lips as she waved at him.

Good morning, Kujo-kun!

Good morning, Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

He casually raised his hand in greeting, then asked the question that had been bothering him:

What are you doing here?

"I'm looking for you."

Natsukawa Masaki replied as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Then, with his hands behind his back, he moved directly in front of Kujo Toru.

They were very close.

From this angle, he could not only vaguely see the fair skin inside the collar, but also smell the fragrance on the other person's body.

He frowned slightly, pressed his right hand directly against Xia Chuanzhen's forehead, and pushed her away.

"It's too hot, don't get so close, get to the point."

"I'm fine now."

Her smile grew even sweeter as she glanced at Kujo Toru's Soubu High School uniform.

She pressed her finger to her pale pink lips and blinked.

"Just bored."

After uttering those two words, Kujo Toru ignored her and continued walking forward.

Natsukawa Masaki wasn't angry; she just followed him around with a smile.

From a distance, they look like a couple.

Ever since the day she learned from Yotsuya Miko where she met Kujo Toru, Natsukawa Masuzu had been staking out that bus stop for a whole week.

He even took an indefinite leave of absence because of this.

Fortunately, the teacher understood her personality quite well and approved it directly.

And her goal in doing so was very simple:

Find out which school Kujo Toru is in, and then transfer there.

Having finally encountered a real exorcist, how could we let them go so easily?

Moreover, Natsukawa Masaki had another plan.

Kujo Toru was too lazy to guess what she was thinking.

He could tell from their very first meeting that Natsukawa Masuzu was not an normal human being.

Given the circumstances that night, who would choose to follow someone and deliberately go to a school that was clearly suspicious?

Kujo Toru felt that if he could understand her thoughts, he would probably be very far removed from her.

The two walked side by side in this strange manner.

Until a streak of gold brushed past Kujo Toru.

It's Yumiko Miura.

However, something was clearly wrong with the other party's situation.

It wasn't just because she didn't pick a fight with Kujo Tetsu as usual.

It was also because she was holding a bright red envelope in her hand.

It's exactly the same as the one that fell out of Yukino Yukinoshita's shoe cabinet.

Kujo Toru's eyes sharpened.

A spark of inspiration ignited in his eyes as he carefully observed Miura Yumiko's retreating figure.

There was no resentment, nor any foul air?

Seeing that she was about to turn the corner, Kujo Tetsu quickly reminded Natsukawa Masuzu:

"You go first, I have something to do!"

After saying that, he strode after them.

But soon, footsteps sounded behind him, and Natsukawa Masaki's voice reached his ears:

"Is it the same paranormal event as last time?"

I glanced at her; her face was full of excitement, and her eyes sparkled.

"Yes."

Withdrawing his gaze, Kujo Toru recalled the scene of his failed attempt to use the spirit-summoning technique at the main hall of the shrine. After a moment of contemplation, he finally took out a sword purification scroll from his backpack and handed it to her.

Then, amidst the other person's puzzled gaze, he spoke:

"I need your help with something later..."

Chiba Park.

The gilded bronze lettering still had a few dewdrops clinging to it.

The air was somewhat humid, and the park was deserted.

There were no insects chirping, no birds singing.

Only the rustling sound of the morning breeze through the leaves could be heard.

A blond figure walked in, breaking the eerie silence.

Yumiko Miura's eyes were slightly vacant, and she clutched the crimson envelope tightly in her hand.

The round-toed leather shoes made a clicking sound as they hit the cobblestones.

Her long, slender legs swayed alternately as she walked deeper into the park.

An unusual mist began to rise in the air.

It blocks out the morning sunlight.

Following the path past the bushes, a small artificial lake came into view.

The temperature seems to have dropped.

The red paint on the swing looked like freshly smeared blood.

A blurry figure stood ahead.

The black crop top perfectly showcased the girl's beautiful figure.

A happy smile appeared on her delicate face.

Then, she opened her arms, extending a silent invitation to Yumiko Miura.

"Xingzi..."

Yumiko Miura's eyes were unfocused as she murmured something softly.

He took a step and walked towards the figure.

The temperature is getting lower and lower.

The faint sound of water could be heard in my ears.

Yumiko Miura finally got close to him.

He reached out, about to grasp her hand.

Suddenly, a hand landed on my shoulder, and the palm was very warm.

"Why are you in the park instead of going to school? Are you skipping class?"

A familiar, calm voice brought her back to reality.

Yumiko Miura was startled when she saw her right foot already touching the surface of the lake, and instinctively took a half-step back.

Turning his head to look at his side, Kujo Toru's face showed a hint of confusion.

They didn't seem to understand why she would come to the park at this time.

Just as she was about to open her mouth to explain, she caught a glimpse of a flash of silver light out of the corner of her eye.

The gleaming metal baseball bat, accompanied by the whooshing sound of the wind, swung fiercely towards Kujo Toru's temple!

Volume 1: Chapter 43 Save Me, Lord Black Fox

Is it finally out?

The wind howled behind my head.

The sound of the airflow made Kujo Tetsuya's neck feel a little cold.

But he was not surprised, but rather delighted.
