"Die!"
"Croak—!"
The frog-like monster let out a bloodcurdling scream as a gaping hole was punched through its belly. It then flipped backward and crashed to the ground. The one who had pierced its body was none other than Artoria, her fist clenched tightly.
"Are you alright, Saber? Healing magic!" Irisviel approached Artoria and used healing magic to treat her injuries. Artoria shook her head and said, "I'm fine, Irisviel. This blood on me is from that monster."
"I never expected that you, Saber, could defeat this monster without using your sword." Irisviel looked at the giant purple frog, which was 3 meters tall, and couldn't help but be surprised. Although she knew that such a monster would not be a match for Artoria, that was only because Artoria was wielding the Holy Sword.
Now, the rules they face upon entering this room prohibit them from using magical artifacts to defeat monsters, otherwise the monsters will continuously refresh their status, not to mention opening the room door.
"Just some basic martial arts skills. There was a time when I lost my personal sword, so I specifically studied close combat for a while. Besides, although my Excalibur is restricted and I can't use it, its magical power is still there. With the help of the Wind King's Barrier, it's not difficult to kill an ordinary giant magical beast," Artoria explained.
“The door is open… and it seems to lead upwards,” Irisviel said, looking at the spiral staircase that appeared after the door opened.
"Could it be that we've reached the end? Let's go, Irisviel, let's go take a look." Artoria walked ahead, taking the lead in testing the unknown risks. Irisviel followed closely behind, quickly leaving the room.
When they reached the top of the stairs, they saw a beam of light flash from the end. After exiting, they realized that they had arrived in the outside world.
That's right, this should be the street at the very top of the Sky Gardens. I saw it before when I was circling around the Sky Gardens. In addition, the many layers of buildings that can be seen around us, as well as the stars overhead, undoubtedly indicate that the two of them have successfully escaped from the maze of rooms on the middle level and reached the outermost area.
"Irisviel, Saber." At this time, a familiar female voice came from the side. The two looked towards the source of the voice, and sure enough, it was their familiar friend - Jeanne d'Arc.
Joan of Arc's face was now stained with blood, indicating that she too had endured considerable battles before finally emerging into the outside world. Joan approached the two and said, "Gentlemen, it is wonderful to see you safe and sound as you escaped that labyrinth."
"They're just some monsters in traps, not as difficult as I imagined... but they have indeed used up a lot of my mana. The enemy is probably using this method to wear down our forces before the final Servant battle, keeping us exhausted. If we continue wandering around these rooms and can't find the enemy Servants, I'm afraid we'll be powerless to deal with them later." Artoria frowned as she looked at the densely packed buildings around her.
“By the way, Jeanne d’Arc, as a Ruler, don’t you have the ability to sense the location of Servants? Why don’t we find them now?” Irisviel suggested.
"If you can think of this, how could I not? To be honest, right after we were teleported away, I tried to use this power to find you all. But I found that there was something very strange about this Hanging Gardens... The entire castle seemed to be connected to a huge magic circle, and under this magic circle, many of my powers were restricted. For example, my senses for Servants were reduced to a range of about 10 meters around me."
Jeanne shook her head, her expression somewhat helpless, and said. Both were startled by Jeanne's words. Irisviel exclaimed, "How could that be? The Ruler class is superior to all other classes; how could it be affected by a magic circle?"
“The Ruler class isn’t absolute either. Human legends are never short of geniuses, especially those of the Caster class. They are naturally good at deciphering things related to magic… Wait, another high-energy magical reaction is approaching.” Jeanne was explaining when she suddenly seemed to sense something and looked at a building behind her.
"Is it an enemy Servant? Irisviel, move behind me." Artoria drew Excalibur, facing him directly, and warned him.
Just then, a series of hurried footsteps came from the building the three were staring at. Soon, a figure darted out from it. Upon seeing this, Joan of Arc immediately waved her flag and shouted, "Who goes there?"
"Joan of Arc? And the King of Knights and Mrs. Ellie? You've come out too?" A man's voice came, and the figure immediately stopped and turned to Joan of Arc and the other two.
"Mr. Wang Chong, it's you." Upon seeing the newcomer, the three of them breathed a sigh of relief, feeling much more relaxed. The newcomer was not an enemy, but an ally. With the three sides reunited, at least they no longer had to worry too much about those heretical Servants attacking them.
After Wang Chong approached the three, he briefly recounted his recent experiences and exchanged intelligence and information. Of course, most of his experiences were fabricated by Wang Chong, but as the true owner of this Sky Garden, he was very familiar with its internal structure, making it incredibly easy for him to create a route.
"Mr. Wang Chong, my servant search ability is now almost as effective as it is now. Where should we go now? Or should we gather here the other servants who are still in the second-level maze?" Jeanne asked.
“I previously observed the castle’s exterior structure and discovered that the entire Hanging Gardens are connected at the very center of the castle. Judging from the flow of magic, that is undoubtedly the core area. So we just need to head in that direction, and even if we don’t have any other Servants, we will at least encounter the owner of the Hanging Gardens—Semiramis.”
After Wang Chong finished speaking, the three of them basically nodded. Having a general direction was at least better than their current aimless wandering around like headless flies.
"Also, although your detection range is only 10 meters, Jeanne, it is still sufficient to some extent. After all, the buildings here are very dense, and if the other party is determined to hide, finding them is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Therefore, your 10-meter detection range is very useful at this time."
After Wang Chong finished speaking, he waved his hand, and thick black mist reappeared around him. He said, "This black mist of mine can replace my eyes and help me find the whereabouts of those Servants in those buildings. So let's head towards the center and see if we can get lucky and find a few heretical Servants along the way and eliminate them."
After speaking, Wang Chong paused, looked at Irisviel, and said, "And... if we're a little luckier, we might be able to help Mrs. Irisviel find her daughter sooner."
“Ah… if we can really find Ilya, Mr. Wang Chong, Irisviel will never forget your kindness. Whatever you ask me to do, I will…” Irisviel was about to continue when Wang Chong interrupted her:
"Alright, Mrs. Alice, aren't we allies? Helping each other is only right. Let's go. The longer we drag this out, the more things might change. We don't even know how the battle between that White Princess and that Fallen Ancestor is going."
“Really… thank you so much, Mr. Wang Chong.” Irisviel’s expression softened further as she looked at Wang Chong’s firm yet gentlemanly smile, and a flutter of emotion began to resurface in her heart.
Chapter 240 The Precognitive Dream is Playing Out
"Intensiveeinascherung (Give our enemy a harsh cremation)!"
As the incantation began, the red gem in his hand emitted light, and a magic circle resembling the Tohsaka family crest appeared. Then, flames spewed from the circle, surging towards the group of monsters in a serpentine wave.
Although the monsters were numerous, they were ultimately low-level creatures, easily handled by Tokiomi Tohsaka's power. However, the repeated use of magic still made Tokiomi frown. After all, for the Tohsaka family, jewel magic was an extremely expensive art. Such frequent use further strained Tokiomi's already precarious financial situation, which had been further depleted by the destruction of his house.
Originally, these monsters would have been easily dealt with by the King of Heroes. He only needed to supply the King of Heroes with mana to eliminate them. However, now, due to certain reasons, he was separated from Gilgamesh, which meant that he not only had to deal with these monsters himself, but also had to share the mana consumption on Gilgamesh's side. No wonder Tokiomi Tohsaka seemed so unhappy.
However, Tōsaka Tokiomi probably didn't know that even if he was really with Gilgamesh, he would still be the one to clean up these monsters. Gilgamesh didn't want to clean up these ants.
Since Tokiomi Tohsaka was the only Master traveling alone, and lacked the formidable strength of Wang Chong, he only managed to enter the central area after everyone else had already arrived and been there for quite some time. This area was the first special rule-based room Tokiomi had encountered; he had to remain completely still and defeat the monsters to open the door to the next area. Otherwise, even if he killed the monsters, they would respawn.
"Is it just my imagination...? I feel a little uneasy." Just as Tokiomi Tohsaka was about to step out of the room, he felt his right eye twitch every now and then. It was as if something had happened to his right eye today, twitching every now and then, making Tokiomi Tohsaka wonder if he was cursed.
"We need to find the King of Heroes as soon as possible. If I'm not mistaken about the direction, as long as I keep going forward, I should be able to run into the King of Heroes." Tokiomi Tohsaka strode forward quickly.
In truth, Tokiomi Tohsaka could have easily sacrificed a Command Seal to bring Gilgamesh to his side. However, firstly, Tokiomi now cherishes the use of Command Seals and will not activate them unless absolutely necessary. Secondly, his use of a Command Seal to forcibly recall Gilgamesh on the first night of the Holy Grail War had already displeased Gilgamesh. He knew that if he were left with only one Command Seal, he might not be able to control and restrain the King of Heroes. Therefore, he had to ensure he retained at least two Command Seals.
Unfortunately, man proposes, God disposes. Tokiomi Tohsaka could never have imagined that his caution would bring him unimaginable demise.
……
Meanwhile, after reuniting, Wang Chong and the others began heading towards the center. Although they had left the room, they encountered a series of summoning arrays that suddenly appeared along the way, from which numerous magical beasts emerged and fought against them. Fortunately, with the three of them working together, there was no opponent they couldn't defeat. Before long, they had covered nearly half the distance.
During this time, besides fighting the monsters, the main task was to use the black mist to locate the Another Servants and Illya. Unfortunately, they couldn't find Illya, or even the Another Servants. The rooms that the black mist could penetrate were mostly empty.
Those entrances that couldn't be penetrated were generally blocked by a magically enchanted door. After investigation, the group discovered that these doors were similar to the one they had used to emerge from the underground labyrinth. It seemed that these doors could only be opened after certain conditions were met from the inside, connecting them to the underground labyrinth.
However, the group didn't treat all the doors that the black mist couldn't penetrate equally. They checked as many as possible to avoid missing any special rooms. And sure enough, they encountered quite a few doors that could be opened. But without exception, they either contained traps or were completely empty. One room was filled with materials, but it was just a storage room for materials; they didn't find what they were looking for.
"Don't worry, there's still half the journey left. We might find it later. Besides, this fortress is enormous. Even if we reach the center, we've only explored one-eighth of the entire Sky Garden. Not to mention the underground levels. So don't fret if we don't find it right away. Your daughter will be alright."
At this moment, Joan of Arc glanced at Irisviel, who looked uneasy, and thought that Irisviel was worried that her daughter had not been brought to the Hanging Gardens, so she spoke up to comfort her.
“Yes, thank you, Miss Jeanne. I’m fine… don’t worry, let’s continue.” Irisviel said with a forced smile. Jeanne, seeing this, didn’t say anything more. She knew Irisviel was probably just putting on a brave face, and thought to herself, “Such is the heart of a parent. I hope we’re lucky enough to find Ilya’s whereabouts.”
What Joan of Arc didn't know was that Irisviel's unease wasn't due to Ilya. She was now absolutely certain that the scene she dreamed of last night was a future scene, especially with the information about the Fourth Night she heard in the dream now matching up one by one, Irisviel was increasingly convinced of the accuracy of that prophetic dream.
Therefore, Irisviel knew perfectly well that Ilya must be in the Hanging Gardens; otherwise, there was no way to explain why Ilya's resentment would appear in Fuyuki's hell. Moreover, she had sensed Ilya's presence before, and she was quite certain of her motherly intuition. Therefore, she never entertained the idea that Ilya might have met with misfortune at the Einzbern residence.
What truly unsettles Irisviel is the statement made by the Dream King, regarding the pivotal event that altered the course of the Fourth Night's War:
"...I, Saber, Jeanne...the three of us fell into a trap and were sealed in a room with you, my lady. Because the barrier was too ruthless, if the damage output was too high, we would all be buried along with the entire room. If the damage output was too low, we simply couldn't break through it. We were trapped in that barrier for too long, which eventually led to the other Servants being defeated one by one."
"...This barrier has been enhanced by the rules, so it's very difficult to break it by force unless its conditions are met. The more difficult the conditions are to fulfill, the better the effect, and the harder it is to break it using magic principles. This is already a relatively uncommon application of magic, similar to a spell. We have no way to break the door except to meet its conditions."
Irisviel recalled the words of the Dream King Chong and realized that all the conditions were now in place. The three of them had gathered together, and they had already gained a deep understanding of the special rules in the previous underground labyrinth. They had also encountered many such special rules rooms in this area.
Therefore, Irisviel was very worried, fearing that she and the others were about to be trapped in that terrifying room. Judging from Wang Chong's behavior in the dream, fulfilling the conditions in that room must be extremely difficult; otherwise, why would Jeanne d'Arc, Artoria, and Wang Chong all choose to break down the door instead of fulfilling the conditions of that special rule?
"How about... tell Mr. Wang Chong to stop exploring those rooms? Perhaps that way, we can change the course of history." Irisviel weighed the pros and cons. Rather than searching for Illya now, it would be better to reverse fate first, allowing Wang Chong and the others to defeat those alien Servants before continuing their search. After all, even if she could find Illya after losing the Fourth Night War, once Fuyuki was destroyed, only death would await Illya.
“Mr. Wang Chong, how about we hurry towards the central area? If we continue searching like this, we might not be able to find Illya and those Another Servants. Didn’t you say that Semiramis, the Another Servant who controls this Hanging Gardens, is very likely in the central area? Wouldn’t it be better if we captured Semiramis first, and then used her to find Illya? She is the owner of this Hanging Gardens, she must know where Illya is.”
Once Irisviel had made up her mind, she spoke up immediately.
Chapter 241 Back to the Room of Love Elixir
"Mrs. Ellie, your idea is good. I also know that you are anxious to find your daughter, Illya. However, it is not advisable for us to rush directly to the central location. After all, we are not only looking for Illya, but also those Alien Servants. Even if we find all the way to the central area and fail to find those Alien Servants, it is best not to rashly attack Semiramis."
After hearing Irisviel's words, Wang Chong nodded slightly at first, but then shook his head and said, "Madam, you must know that this fortress is Semiramis's home ground after all. It's possible that the other side has made thorough preparations in the central area. I think the best course of action right now, besides finding those outcast Servants, is to gather all of our normal Masters and Servants."
"Gather all the normal Masters and Servants?" Irisviel was taken aback when she heard this.
“Yes, from the moment Semiramis stepped into the Hanging Gardens, she had the enemy Berserkers distract us Masters, thus successfully activating the transfer magic spell to scatter us all, intending to defeat us one by one. The reason she did this is probably because if we were to fight as a team, she wouldn't have the advantage, and might even be at a disadvantage, so she had to scatter us. Now, if we want to deal with her, we naturally have to do the opposite.”
Wang Chong paused after finishing his words and said, "Actually, I've marked all the gates that appeared along the way that connect to the underground maze with black mist. If someone emerges from one of those gates, I'll be able to sense them immediately and attach myself to them. This way, we can quickly reunite with the other Masters."
"I see..." Irisviel nodded slightly. Indeed, although their three groups were now united, directly storming into the central core area to defeat Semiramis would still be very risky. However, wouldn't that mean Wang Chong would have to check every door and room? Wouldn't that mean they would inevitably stumble upon that special room?
Sure enough, Wang Chong continued, "So, let's continue our search according to the original plan. I just sensed the magical fluctuations around us. It seems that, apart from those other Servants hiding their auras, there are only us in the entire upper level. We haven't sensed any movement from other Servants. We should be the first lucky ones to leave the dungeon, so it's good to proceed slowly and explore gradually."
“Yes, Wang Chongjun is right, Mrs. Alice, please be patient a little longer,” Joan of Arc also advised from the side.
"..." Although Artoria didn't speak directly, her expression clearly showed that she agreed with Wang Chong's statement. Seeing this, Irisviel could only give up for the time being, thinking to herself, "Could it be that fate really cannot be changed?"
"Even if it's about precognitive dreams, it's hard to believe unless you experience it yourself... especially with all those weird things in the dream... Ugh... We can only take it one step at a time for now, and remind them to be careful when exploring the room." Irisviel had no choice but to continue exploring the room with the others, keeping the black mist in sight.
However, when Wang Chong turned back to face forward, with his back to Irisviel, a strange light flashed in his eyes, and the corners of his mouth curved slightly. He naturally knew what Irisviel was thinking, and he also understood that Irisviel had made certain preparations and was prepared for this.
“Then… it’s time to head to that place.” Wang Chong continued to release black mist, and as before, there was nothing unusual, except that Wang Chong deliberately began to gather it in a certain direction.
Soon, after completing his exploration, Wang Chong said, "There's another room to the left that the black mist can't penetrate. Let's go take a look; maybe we'll find something this time."
The three nodded. This wasn't the first time they'd heard Wang Chong say this, and without the slightest doubt, they followed him in that direction. Soon, the group arrived at a staircase leading deeper underground, not much different from the gates connecting to the previous underground labyrinths.
"Another maze gate?" Seeing this familiar layout, Artoria felt she could guess what kind of gate was below.
"Don't rush, we'll know after we check. If it is, I'll leave another marker later." After saying that, Wang Chong led the three deeper into the area. Soon, they arrived at the gate. When Jeanne saw the shape of the gate, she couldn't help but exclaim softly, "Huh? This gate doesn't seem to be the kind that leads to a maze. It looks very small, more like the door to some small room. But why would such a door block Wang Chong-jun's black mist?"
“This door…” Artoria frowned slightly. For some reason, seeing this door gave her a strange sense of familiarity… even though she had never seen it before. And for some reason, Artoria felt a little hungry.
"Why, do you have any ideas?" Wang Chong couldn't help but ask when he saw that Altria seemed to be hesitant to speak.
"No...it must be my imagination." Artoria shook her head, feeling that she might simply be feeling hungry because she had used up too much magic power.
If I manage to survive tonight and defeat the otherworldly servants, I should suggest to Wang Chong that we have a good meal together.
"I thought you'd already realized this was your dining table," Wang Chong thought to himself.
Then, Wang Chong pretended to tentatively explore the door to check it out, and "accidentally" pushed open the folding fan "Round Table Door", revealing the scene inside to the four of them.
"The door opened. It looks like it's some kind of special room. Jeanne and I will go in first, just in case there's a trap, the two of us can handle it well." Wang Chong turned to Irisviel and Artoria and said.
"Then I'll leave it to you," Altria said without hesitation, having come all the way here before. Wang Chong and Jeanne entered the room. After a while, a voice rang out from within: "Mrs. Ellie, please come in! We seem to have found some clues here."
"Huh?" Irisviel was startled upon hearing this, then exchanged a glance with Artoria before quickly entering the room together. As they entered, they failed to notice the door silently beginning to close.
When Irisviel and Artoria entered the room, the first thing they saw was a variety of torture instruments, making it look like a dungeon or prison. There was also a pile of broken chains on the floor. They had heard a clanging sound not long ago, which must have been some chain-related traps, but Wang Chong and Jeanne had easily dealt with them.
However, the two did not see any trace of Wang Chong and Joan of Arc until they continued walking forward and found a corner. At the end of the corner, there was a large pink bed, and Wang Chong and Joan of Arc were searching for something under the bed.
"What are you doing...!?" Irisviel was just wondering when she suddenly stared intently at the items Wang Chong had taken out after emerging from the ground, as if she were seeing something extremely familiar.
"It seems I wasn't wrong, Mrs. Alice. These should... be your daughter Ilya's clothes, right?" Wang Chong was holding several pieces of clothing that looked like they were for a child: a purple winter coat and a purple hat.
Chapter 242 The Real Trap
Upon seeing these familiar clothes, Irisviel became somewhat overwhelmed with emotion. Although she was certain that Ilya should be in the Hanging Gardens, she was still filled with mixed joy and worry upon finally receiving the news. She was happy that Ilya was indeed safe and sound, but worried that she hadn't found Ilya here, and judging from the layout of the room, Ilya might have suffered some inhumane treatment.
Seeing Irisviel's expression, Artoria couldn't help but comfort her, "Irisviel, are you alright? We've finally found a clue to Illya, which means our efforts haven't been in vain. Although Illya isn't in this room, at least we've confirmed that she's in the Hanging Gardens. As long as we can defeat those Other Servants, we should be able to rescue Illya eventually."
“Hmm…I know. Mr. Wang Chong, could you please give me those clothes?” Irisviel nodded, then looked at Wang Chong and pleaded.
Without a word, Wang Chong handed the few pieces of Ilya's clothing to Irisviel. Irisviel placed them in the inner pocket of her own clothes, then looked around at her surroundings, a bitter feeling rising in her heart. She murmured, "Ilya... is locked up in a place like this. Ilya is his child too, why did he do this? Is he really that heartless?"
“Mrs. Ellie, things have come to this point now, and I believe you should no longer harbor any illusions about Kiritsugu Emiya. He will stop at nothing to achieve his goals, and all he wants to accomplish is his ambition. Doesn’t seeing your daughter being treated like this prove that point?” Jeanne spoke up at this opportune moment.
“Sigh…” Irisviel sighed first, then looked at Wang Chong, seemingly hesitant, but finally spoke, “Mr. Wang Chong, I have a question I would like to ask you.”
"What's the problem?" Wang Chong was a little puzzled as to why Irisviel suddenly wanted to ask him a question, but he didn't show anything unusual on his face and just asked in a normal manner.
"Mr. Wang Chong, what are your thoughts on the desire to save all of humanity?" Irisviel asked.
"Save all humanity?" Upon hearing this, Jeanne d'Arc and Artoria were both taken aback, not understanding why Irisviel would suddenly ask such a question. Only Wang Chong understood what was going on. After a moment's thought, he didn't answer Irisviel's question directly, but instead asked in return:
"Was this the wish that Kiritsugu Emiya made after he wanted to seize the Holy Grail?"
“How could that be? How could that guy have such a wish?” Before Irisviel could answer, Artoria immediately denied it. She couldn’t believe that such a despicable and unscrupulous man could have such a noble ideal.
“Yes.” However, Irisviel nodded, which made Artoria even more incredulous. She almost thought that Irisviel was too emotional and was talking nonsense.
“I see. That explains why you, Madam, still supported Kiritsugu Emiya and even harbored illusions about him, even though you knew he had done so many terrible things the other day,” Wang Chong said, feigning sudden realization. Irisviel lowered her head guiltily after Wang Chong's explanation.
“Alice, you’ve been deceived by Kiritsugu Emiya. How could someone like him possibly have a desire to save all of humanity?” Artoria said.
"No, that's impossible... Sometimes, the pursuit of justice is far more insane and obsessive than the pursuit of personal desires. I've seen Kiritsugu Emiya's file before. Judging from his past actions and his current actions of orchestrating the Holy Grail War and creating Heretical Servants, Mrs. Irisviel's explanation is actually the most reasonable one." However, Wang Chong directly believed and accepted Irisviel's words.
"...So, Mr. Wang Chong, what is your opinion?" Irisviel felt a warmth in her heart after seeing that Wang Chong believed her, and then continued to ask.
"The ideal of saving all mankind is both naive and unimaginably lofty. But... if these words are spoken by a person who intends to achieve them through the Holy Grail, then this ideal is more... nothing but arrogance," Wang Chong said slowly.
"Arrogance? Is it possible that the Holy Grail cannot fulfill this wish?" Irisviel did not expect to hear an answer that was slightly different from Wang Chong's in her dream.
"Alice... and the Knight King, Joan of Arc. In your opinion, should the future of all mankind be decided by an individual, or by all mankind?" Wang Chong asked slowly.
"This..." For a moment, the three women present were stumped by Wang Chong's question, but they all leaned towards the latter answer. After all, the three women present were more inclined towards positive thoughts and held expectations for all of humanity.
"It seems your answer is the latter, right? Even if it's not the latter, it's definitely not the former either. That's why I said Emiya Kiritsugu is arrogant. What makes him think he can save all of humanity? What qualifications does he have to save all of humanity?"
After Wang Chong finished speaking, he paused for a moment and continued, "Let's talk about the Holy Grail. Admittedly, the Holy Grail has infinite power. But since it fulfills wishes according to the personal will of the person who makes the wish, the so-called wish to save all mankind that it ultimately fulfills will only be what Kiritsugu Emiya perceives as salvation. So for all mankind, it is not a true salvation of all mankind at all."
"Isn't this arrogance? Believing oneself to be right, the eventual fulfillment of one's wishes will inevitably be heavily influenced by personal biases, or even distorted. If Kiritsugu Emiya had continued down this path on his own, perhaps I would have admired him. Although he couldn't succeed, his spirit would likely have been passed down, and perhaps one day, humanity could truly be saved when all of humanity understood this principle. But he insisted on using the Holy Grail to accelerate things, ultimately becoming nothing more than an arrogant fanatic."
After Wang Chong finished explaining, the three people present all began to ponder. Among them, Artoria was thinking about her own Kingdom of Britain. Perhaps the future of the kingdom was not solely determined by her own efforts. Did she really have the right to easily erase that history on behalf of those people?
Irisviel was most deeply moved because she clearly understood what Kiritsugu Emiya was about to do and his resolve, and she even foresaw his ultimate fate in her dream. Therefore, after Wang Chong finished his assessment, Irisviel finally understood. From the very beginning, they shouldn't have harbored delusions, clinging to such an unrealistic ideal as saving all of humanity. This was not a feat that one person could accomplish alone; only all of humanity could save it. Their dream had to end.
