As the oldest and most experienced among them, her perspective is broader:
"To be honest, at first I didn't fully understand why the teacher exposed you to these things so early. But now, seeing the changes in you, I finally understand the teacher's good intentions."
"Hmph, good intentions, huh? You're here, you're here, you're here, you're here, Lin Zaizai, you're here..."
Rin Tohsaka immediately turned her gaze to Musashi Miyamoto, who was scratching his head and grinning at her, and said irritably:
"I only found out today that our wonderful captain had been keeping this from us for so long! No wonder I always felt she was a bit out of place with the people of this world; it turns out she was a Servant that our teacher secretly summoned to protect us!"
"Sister, Musashi and our teacher are both doing this for our own good. Looking back, we have indeed encountered danger a few times, and we were only able to escape danger thanks to Musashi's timely help, weren't we?" Sakura quickly and gently comforted her.
“I know that…” Rin Tohsaka’s tone softened slightly, but still carried a hint of resentment, “But later on, we were clearly capable of handling things on our own, so why did you still have to protect us in secret? Wasn’t that underestimating us?”
That's because you haven't really grown up yet.
Ryougi Shiki explained earnestly and patiently:
"Being in a repressive and dangerous environment for a long time will have a negative impact on your physical and mental development, and may even lead to misjudgment."
"Miss Musashi is a veteran of countless battles, and has a humorous and open-minded personality. She can not only ensure your safety, but also subtly guide you."
"The teacher took us back this time for the same reason. Being constantly immersed in war and darkness will eventually lead to a buildup of negative emotions that could become a hidden danger."
"Didn't you notice? The sadness, heaviness, and awareness you showed just now are not things that children your age should have. Your spirits need rest, and you need to rediscover the vitality that belongs to children."
After hearing Ryougi Shiki's words, the children fell into a brief silence, each lost in thought.
"Shi is right."
A familiar voice broke the silence; Wang Chong, having arranged everything, entered the room.
"Children, I am truly happy for your growth. But the battlefield is by no means the only place for you to learn and grow."
Wang Chong's gaze swept over each young face as he continued:
"Although the battle here has temporarily ended, your true progress in magic and tactical thinking can probably only be achieved by returning to the world you were originally familiar with."
After speaking, Wang Chong's tone softened slightly:
"Besides... Rin, Illya, Sakura, it's been a long time since you've seen your mothers, hasn't it? It's time to go back and see them, and let them know about your experiences and progress during this time."
"Waaah... Mom..." At the mention of her mother, Rin Tohsaka's defenses softened instantly, and she nodded, her eyes slightly red. "Sensei, please take us home..."
Wang Chong nodded, then raised his hand, and a dimensional gate, shimmering with a strange light, slowly opened before everyone. His voice was steady and powerful:
"Everyone, it's time to go home. Follow me."
Led by Wang Chong, the people in the hall stepped through the door leading to their hometown one by one.
……
Chaldea Spirit Transfer Chamber
"Phew... this Halloween adventure is finally... over..."
Fujimaru Ritsuka used almost her last bit of strength and collapsed onto the cold floor of the spirit transfer room, letting out a long sigh.
“Senior is right…” Mashu leaned weakly against the control panel, covering her ears with her hands, her face pale. “I feel like my ears are still ringing… Miss Elizabeth’s singing is simply… simply comparable to a mental torture device.”
"What?! What?!"
Elizabeth Bathory's figure then materialized in the transfer room, puffing out her cheeks and waving the microphone in dissatisfaction upon hearing the complaint.
"I went to great lengths to retrieve a new Holy Grail fragment for you all! And this adventure was so exciting! Didn't you all have a lot of fun? Especially after going through so many thrilling challenges, being able to come and listen to my headlining concert live—wasn't that a huge boost of anticipation and a sense of accomplishment?"
"You stupid lizard, can't you have any self-awareness?" Kiyohime's figure appeared almost simultaneously, her folding fan snapping shut as she pointed at Elizabeth, her tone full of anger.
"Woof! Tamamo completely agrees, woof!" Tamamo the cat appeared, wagging its tail, and stood next to Kiyohime, nodding vigorously.
"You could have just had a peaceful Halloween party at Chaldea, but you insisted on creating some kind of singularity instance using Holy Grail fragments! And you even dragged us into it to be the villains guarding the gate... I think it's because your Master isn't around and no one's properly disciplining you that you've become so lawless!"
Kiyohime grew angrier as she spoke, her eyes seemingly spitting fire.
"You scoundrel! Who are you calling a stupid lizard!" Elizabeth immediately bristled, the microphone in her hand seeming to turn into a weapon.
Seeing that the two were about to start fighting again, Dr. Roman rushed over from behind the monitoring console, anxiously trying to separate them:
"Gentlemen! Gentlemen, calm down! This isn't a place for fighting! The equipment can't afford to break down!"
"What's going on here?" a gentle, questioning voice asked.
Joan of Arc and Marie Antoinette were bewildered by the chaotic scene before them as soon as they entered the spirit transfer room.
"Miss Joan of Arc, Queen Marie Antoinette, you've come at the perfect time! Quickly help separate them! If they keep fighting, the control room will be doomed!" Dr. Roman exclaimed as if he had seen a savior.
Thanks to the timely intervention and reassurance of Joan of Arc and Mary, the imminent conflict between Kiyohime and Elizabeth was barely averted.
Later, Jeanne and Marie learned the whole story from Dr. Roman's rapid-fire explanation and the tired additions from Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mashu:
It turns out that Elizabeth somehow obtained a fragment of the Holy Grail and, on a whim, used it to create a small Halloween-themed singularity.
She meticulously designed numerous challenges and assigned Kiyohime, Tamamo Cat, and several other summoned Servants to serve as the bosses guarding the challenges.
In the end, Fujimaru Ritsuka and Mashu successfully cleared the game and retrieved the Holy Grail fragments.
Chapter 493 Reunion (Part 1)
Although Ritsuka successfully passed the challenge, the live concert by Elizabeth Bathory, which appeared as the ultimate reward, brought a profound "mental trauma" to everyone who had just experienced an adventure and was exhausted both physically and mentally.
"I see. I now understand the details."
Joan of Arc's voice was calm with a hint of helplessness, and she nodded slightly:
"I will discipline Elizabeth and the others properly before Mr. Wang Chong returns."
During Wang Chong's absence, the daily affairs of the Chaldea Servants were basically coordinated and managed by this just saint.
Therefore, if Elizabeth were to secretly create a singularity, causing great trouble for the entire Chaldea, she would naturally be taken back by Joan of Arc for a profound lesson.
“But… the Halloween adventure?” Marie Antoinette, standing to the side, cupped her cheeks in her hands, her eyes sparkling with longing, her tone full of regret. “Hmm… it’s such a shame I couldn’t participate.”
"Haha, no need to be so regretful..." Dr. Roman interjected with a laugh, "Although we missed the singularity adventure, we can still hold a normal Halloween event inside Chaldea. I remember we should have plenty of candy and other supplies in the warehouse, so there's still plenty of time to start preparing now."
Kiyohime leaned against the wall, sighed lazily, and replied listlessly:
"Celebrating Halloween in Chaldea... that doesn't sound so bad. But the problem is, our Master still hasn't returned."
Her voice carried a deep longing and a hint of boredom:
"I miss my Master so much... If I hadn't missed him so much, I wouldn't have been so blinded by greed and agreed to that stupid lizard's terrible idea to become the final boss."
"So, Mr. Wang Chong has indeed been gone for quite some time now." Mashu nodded thoughtfully. "If I remember correctly, since he left, we've experienced the Nero Festival and that strange 'stolen moon-viewing dumplings' singularity incident..."
Upon hearing this, Dr. Roman quickly checked on his terminal and confirmed, "Yes, if I think about it carefully, it does feel like more than a month has passed."
“I remember the doctor mentioned before that Mr. Wang Chong went to investigate the third singularity, right?” Mashu looked at the doctor with concern. “Has Chaldea’s observation system not yet located the exact spacetime coordinates of the third singularity?”
Dr. Roman turned his gaze to Ritsuka and Mashu and replied, "Based on the current progress of the analysis, we should be able to pinpoint the exact location in about three more days."
He paused, his tone becoming more serious: "Mash, Ritsuka, although you've had a tough Halloween adventure, you probably don't have much time left to rest. A new round of challenges is about to begin."
"Everything else is fine," Ritsuka muttered under her breath, a barely perceptible shadow crossing her face. Clearly, her experiences in the Second Singularity had left a deep impression on her. "I just hope that this time... there won't be any more unexpected challenges."
“Well…theoretically, it shouldn’t be possible, right?” Dr. Roman tried to reassure her, his tone tinged with uncertainty. “Well, we’ll probably have to wait until Mr. Wang Chong returns to find out the specifics.”
Just then—
"Sniff...hmm?"
Kiyohime, who had been lost in boredom, suddenly twitched her delicate nostrils a few times. Then, her beautiful eyes lit up instantly, as if she had caught something extremely special, and an irrepressible joy brightened her face.
"Uh, you guys keep chatting, I'm suddenly starving, I need to get to the cafeteria to fill my stomach!"
Before she finished speaking, Kiyohime's figure shot out like an arrow, so fast that she left only a gust of wind and disappeared around the corner of the Spirit Transfer Chamber passage in the blink of an eye.
"Huh? Is this guy that hungry?" Elizabeth put her hands on her hips, looking suspicious. "She just ate several pumpkin pies and a bunch of Halloween candy not long ago, and her stomach is all round and full!"
Kiyohime's unusual, almost fleeing speed immediately piqued Elizabeth's curiosity, so Elizabeth chased after her, leaving behind the words, "No, I have to follow her and see what's going on. There's definitely something strange about this guy!"
"Woof! Don't leave Tamamo-woof behind! Tamamo-woof wants to go too!"
Seeing Elizabeth chase after them, Tamamo Cat, who had been squatting to the side, immediately perked up. Not wanting to miss any possible opportunity for a snack, she immediately took off running after the two figures.
"Sigh, these three clowns..."
Joan of Arc gazed in the direction they had disappeared, rubbing her temples in exasperation, revealing obvious fatigue.
“These past few days, I’ve been tormented by those three every day. When we discovered they were missing, we spent ages searching for them with Mary.”
After saying that, Joan of Arc turned to Mary and continued, "Since they've disappeared again, let's leave now and not bother the doctor and the others any longer."
"Miss Jeanne, you've really worked hard." Dr. Roman nodded understandingly. "I also need to arrange physical examinations for Ritsuka and Mashu as soon as possible."
Joan of Arc nodded slightly in acknowledgment, then turned and left the spirit transfer room with Mary. Her sharp eyes swept across the ground, and she quickly walked forward, following some subtle traces.
"They're running so fast..." Mary followed Joan of Arc, jogging to keep up with the saintess's suddenly quickened pace, her face full of confusion. "Could it be that some amazing new delicacy appeared in the cafeteria today, and Kiyohime's nose spotted it ahead of time?"
"I think... what attracted her was probably not the food in the cafeteria."
Joan of Arc's steps did not falter at all; on the contrary, they became even lighter, and a barely perceptible, gentle smile even appeared at the corners of her mouth.
"Hmm? What could that be?"
Mary was initially puzzled, then as if suddenly realizing something, her eyes widened abruptly, and she exclaimed, "Ah! Could it be... that he's back?!"
Mary instantly understood Joan's meaning, and a surprised smile bloomed on her face. She and Joan immediately quickened their pace again, heading towards a familiar room with a clear goal.
……
Chaldea, inside Wang Chong's personal dormitory.
"My husband—!!"
With a call filled with deep affection and ecstatic joy, Kiyohime, like a green whirlwind, rushed towards the familiar figure in the center of the room without hesitation. She clung tightly to Wang Chong's back like a koala, her arms wrapped tightly around his neck, her cheeks rubbing happily against his back.
As for why he didn't choose the front view—the reason is obvious: Wang Chong's front view was already firmly occupied by a petite figure.
Kiyohime did have the urge to kick him away, but when she thought about the fearsome beast he possessed, she ultimately chose to rationally cling to Wang Chong's back.
Caught between two attackers, Wang Chong could only sigh helplessly, feeling the weight on his back and chest.
"I'm telling you, Aika and Kiyohime, if you keep hanging around like human ornaments, how am I supposed to step out of this dorm room?"
"Because His Highness the Prince has been gone for too long!"
Saya Aika, who was facing Wang Chong, buried her face deep in his chest, greedily breathing in his breath, her voice muffled but full of coquettishness.
"Aiko hasn't smelled His Highness's pleasant scent for over a month... His energy is severely depleted, and we must replenish it immediately..."
Ever since Wang Chong kissed her, Aika Sajou has completely abandoned any reserve in front of him, and her unreserved affectionate behavior has become even more excessive.
"My Master...my Darling...my Husband..." Kiyohime whispered in Wang Chong's ear in a sickeningly sweet voice, her arms tightening around him, her breath hot against his skin. "Kiyohime can't hold back anymore, I want to make love to you so much (beep)!"
Kiyohime's performance was as straightforward and fiery as ever, with all sorts of explicit language tumbling out without any hesitation.
Fortunately, Rin Tohsaka and the others were changing clothes in the Dimensional House next door and didn't come over immediately, otherwise the situation would probably have become quite awkward and uncontrollable.
Chapter 494 Reunion (Part 2)
"The lord's entourage of wives... is truly quite impressive."
Miyamoto Musashi, who had been silently observing this scene of "embracing two women," couldn't help but inwardly click his tongue in amazement:
"A rough calculation shows that the number... seems to have easily broken into double digits, right? My lord's charm is truly admirable."
"Ah—!! I knew it! You cunning mudskipper, you were running in a completely different direction from the cafeteria!"
A sharp, clearly annoyed shout suddenly rang out, instantly shattering the slightly "warm" atmosphere in the room.
Elizabeth Bathory caught up to the door, panting, her fair cheeks flushed from running.
Her gaze swept quickly across the room and immediately locked onto Qingji, who was tightly hugging Wang Chong and whose face was full of smugness.
Seeing this, Elizabeth's anger flared up instantly. She pointed at Kiyohime and shouted angrily:
"So! So you found out your Master is back! And you actually tried to sneak away all by yourself without even saying goodbye, huh? How cunning! How despicable!"
"Cuckoo~"
Kiyohime turned her head triumphantly, made a playful yet provocative face at Elizabeth by the door, shook her head boastfully, and spoke in a sweet but barbed voice:
"Who told you that the bond between you and your Master isn't deep enough? Do I really need to remind you of something like this? Let me tell you, as long as your Master appears within a kilometer radius of me, I can immediately and accurately detect that unique and intoxicating aura emanating from him!"
She deliberately dragged out her words, continuing to provoke:
"You can only envy this innate skill, you clumsy lizard~ You'd better learn from it~"
"Mmmmmmmmmmm—!!"
