"How could I have forgotten that gentleman? He could even revive Faust, who was almost dead, and heal my hand. Moreover, he is so strong and has lived for a long time, he must have a way to help Big Sister." After thinking of this, Da Xiong single-mindedly ran straight to the tent where Wang Chong was staying, without even considering whether the other party would agree to help him.

"Huh? What's that?" But before he had run far, Big Bear vaguely saw a familiar figure wandering aimlessly. Upon recognizing the person, Big Bear was overjoyed and exclaimed, "Great! I've finally found you, sir!"

"Huh?" Wang Chong looked in the direction of the voice with a puzzled expression and saw a member of the Yeti Squad greeting him.

……

"How are things?" Because casting spells at full power was quite taxing, they took turns. Petrova felt her strength was almost exhausted, so she stopped the spell and let the next person take over. Then she quickly asked the person next to her to confirm the situation.

“I don’t know, Yang and the others haven’t come back. Oh right, and Big Bear has also disappeared.” A member of the Yeti group next to him said.

“What on earth is that bear doing! Big sister’s life is in danger, and he’s still messing around,” Petrova said, displeased.

"Hey! I've found someone who can save Big Sister!" Just then, a loud voice came from not far away. All the Yeti members looked in the direction of the voice and saw Big Bear running towards them, seemingly with someone behind him.

"Where did this guy go looking for someone? And he was the first one to come back... Wait! What's that person following him?!" Petrova was wondering where the bear had gone looking for someone, but when she looked closely, she was almost startled. How did the bear bring that being with him?

"There's hope! There's hope! Everyone, make way!" Big Bear was the first to run over, panting heavily, and said.

"Hey! Big Bear, why did you bring him... you brought the gentleman here? Aren't you just causing trouble and making things difficult for others?" Petrova was about to scold Big Bear, but when she saw Wang Chong standing in front of her, she couldn't continue and could only ask him this.

“Isn’t this the only option we have? It would take at least half an hour to bring the captain here. If my sister can make it through that time, she will have made it safely,” Big Bear said. “Besides, I think if you were able to save Faust, you must be able to save my sister too.”

"You, you..." Petrova didn't know what to say. Stupid, he knew the crisis was out of control and had the wit to call for a strong person to come and see. But smart, he was so loud and clear that he couldn't even tell if the other person had other intentions. He didn't even know if he could be saved, yet he was still shouting that he could be saved. What if there was no way to solve the problem? Wouldn't that delay his elder sister and embarrass her?

"Everyone, step aside, saving lives is the priority." Without saying a word, Wang Chong immediately released his own black mist, intending to approach Froststar.

"Wait! What are you going to do to my eldest sister!" Everyone's face changed when they saw the black fog. They had all witnessed how the black fog devoured the inner guards alive. Although they were afraid of the other party's methods, they lined up in a row in front of Frost Star, wanting to use their bodies to block the black fog.

"Tsk..." Wang Chong was too lazy to explain. He simply tied everyone up and hung them upside down with the black mist, then enveloped Froststar in the black mist.

"(Ursus profanity)!! Big Bear! You (Ursus profanity)!! You've ruined Big Sister! You (Ursus profanity)!!" Seeing Frostnova swallowed by the black mist, a group of Yeti members were so angry that their eyes were bloodshot, and they began to curse the equally upside-down Big Bear in all sorts of difficult Ursus language.

"(Ursus curse)! How could I (Ursus curse) know that this would happen!! If you (Ursus curse) challenge me to a duel, I will go down and become a ghost and will not let you go... Woo woo woo!" The big bear was about to shout something when his mouth and nose were blocked by the black fog.

"Shut up! Didn't you realize that the black fog of the gentleman can't only devour people? Use your brains and take a good look at how we are just hanging there. Have we been swallowed by the black fog?" Petrova, the only calm person present, immediately scolded everyone to be quiet.

"It seems they really weren't swallowed by the black mist... Could it be that this black mist has other uses besides swallowing people?" The Yeti members began to realize this one by one.

“And look, eldest sister’s face is still showing, and her complexion has improved a lot.” Petrova seemed to have spoken up for Wang Chong, and the black mist also put her down. Petrova pointed to Froststar’s face and said.

"Hey! It's true! Big sister doesn't seem to be in as much pain anymore."

"Could it be that we have wronged Mr. Wang Chong?"

"Phew, that scared me to death! I thought I was about to see my mom..."

"Quiet down!" Wang Chong shouted, and the noisy room above instantly fell silent. Wang Chong didn't say anything more, focusing instead on sensing the changes within Froststar's body.

Chapter Seventeen: Special Attack on Terra Species

Wang Chong was carefully examining the changes within Froststar's body, temporarily suppressing the activation reaction of the Originium within her using the power of the black mist. However, this was ultimately only a temporary solution; the best approach was to completely cure Froststar's Originium disease.

"The black mist can indeed erode Originium, and the energy contained in a single Originium is far beyond my imagination, no less than the magic crystal block of the equally important Type-Moon world. However, the Originium in their bodies is a bit strange. Even if a portion is absorbed, the absorbed portion will be slowly replenished, as if the other party's physical condition information has been determined and has reached this concentration level, so there is no way to reverse it by conventional means."

Wang Chong roughly understood why Oripathy was so difficult to cure; this method, similar to meme contamination, was indeed somewhat perplexing to him.

"Information recording... Yes, everyone gets Oripathy, but only the Doctor, being a pure human, doesn't. And the infection rate and upper limit are different between different races. It's almost as if it's determined by genetic information. So, since Frostnova's physical condition has been determined, the concentration of Originium in her body will always remain at that level. But since I've eroded a part of it, the missing Originium shouldn't appear out of thin air."

Wang Chong pondered carefully, and soon he noticed something: the atmosphere. The air in Tailai was filled with Originium dust, which entered the body through respiration, just like oxygen, completing the exchange with the body.

“Then… do it this way.” Wang Chong used black mist to purify the surrounding air, essentially creating a completely dust-free environment for Froststar, and then Wang Chong made the same attempt again.

"It failed and is still growing slowly, but this shouldn't be the case. I've already confirmed that no dust has entered Frost Star's body, so why is it still... the Originium crystals are merging with the cells... Yes, it can completely use Frost Star's cells as nutrients to achieve its own proliferation. Could it be that the Originium disease cannot be broken by my own strength?" Wang Chong frowned.

"No, there's another way, and that is my blood... I just don't know what effect the blood of a human from another world like me will have on this... Besides, my blood can't be pure right now, after all, there is also the blood of the True Ancestor mixed in... Let's try it and see, at least we can explore the changes, maybe we can discover something."

Without hesitation, he used his blood manipulation ability to let blood seep from his fingertips, then pinched Frostnova's chin, opened her mouth, and dripped his own blood into it.

After all, the reaction from the injection was too strong, and besides, the blood of the True Ancestor could be absorbed into the body orally, so Wang Chong's blood was no exception.

"Hey, did the gentleman just feed his own blood to the eldest sister? What kind of manipulation is this?"

"Don't ask me, how would I know? Just observe what's going on with the doctor."

"If the eldest sister drinks blood, will she turn into one of those terrifying vampires in the future? I've heard in some stories that vampires are born this way."

"What's there to be afraid of? Even if our eldest sister becomes a vampire, she'll still be our eldest sister."

Upon witnessing Wang Chong feeding the blood, the group of Yeti members immediately began chattering amongst themselves. However, their noise was quickly silenced by the black mist, who covered their mouths one by one.

"Phew... It actually works! It really reduced it a little bit, even if it's just a tiny bit, it's still a reduction. Could it be that pure human blood is the key to solving the problem? But mine isn't pure either!" Wang Chong was a little puzzled, but now that he saw that his blood really did have the effect of reversing Oripathy, it seemed that some of his ideas could come in handy.

However, Wang Chong didn't continue trying. Feeding her blood just once had already caused such a commotion; if he fed her blood several more times, and Froststar's Oripathy was mostly cured, the secret would likely be exposed. It was better to proceed gradually and subtly.

"How is the situation?" Petrova asked as soon as she saw Wang Chong stand up and begin to absorb the black mist back.

"He's alright now. He just exhausted himself fighting the pain and didn't sleep all night, so he's passed out now." After Wang Chong finished speaking, he began to release the Yeti members one by one.

“Um… Mr. Wang Chong, we are so sorry. We were blind to your abilities and offended you. You saved our eldest sister’s life, which is the same as saving our lives. We will do our best to repay your kindness in the future if you ever need our help.”

After the Snow Monster members who had been put down discovered that their eldest sister Frost Star was completely fine, they all smiled happily. Of course, when they faced Wang Chong, they all lowered their heads in embarrassment. After all, they had just questioned Wang Chong.

"Alright, alright, I can't be bothered with such a small matter. Besides, you were all protecting your eldest sister, so for that reason alone, I won't make things difficult for you. But the other one..." Wang Chong said, glancing at the only one still hanging there, the big bear.

"Mr. Wang Chong... it was my fault, Da Xiong. I'm too straightforward, and you startled me, which is why I did something foolish." Da Xiong apologized to Wang Chong with a simple smile.

"Oh, you did something foolish. It's alright, I do have a question I'd like to ask you," Wang Chong said with a smile.

"Hahaha, Mr. Wang Chong is my sister's savior. Don't even mention one question, I, Da Xiong, will answer ten or a hundred questions truthfully." Da Xiong laughed heartily, looking like he was trying to please Wang Chong.

“I don’t need your answer to whether it’s 10 or 100. I only have one… and that’s what you just said, ‘You (Ursus profanity) challenge me to a one-on-one fight.’ What does the ‘(Ursus profanity)’ mean in that sentence?” Wang Chong asked with a smile.

"Ouch—" Upon hearing Wang Chong's question, Da Xiong's face turned extremely embarrassed. He pulled out both hands and slapped his own mouth hard, saying, "Mr. Wang Chong, it's my fault for being so foul-mouthed. If you're still angry, you can slap me twice too. As long as you can calm down, that'll be enough. Next time something happens to my older sister, I can come to her rescue immediately."

"Wow, I didn't expect you to care so much about your elder sister. You've even decided to let me come and see her next time." Wang Chong patted Daxiong's shoulder and said.

"Hehehe, isn't this amazing, sir? You saved Faust, healed my hand, and saved my elder sister's life. You are a very capable person, and I, Big Bear, admire you very much. Of course, I hope you can come more often to take care of and treat my elder sister's illness." Big Bear said with a silly grin.

"Okay, considering you're so eager to save your elder sister and you're so sweet-talking..." Wang Chong smiled and patted Da Xiong's shoulder. Suddenly, a playful look appeared in his eyes as he said, "You don't really think I'll let you go just because I said that, do you?"

"Huh?" Big Bear was stunned. When he heard Wang Chong's opening remarks, he really thought that Wang Chong was going to let him go.

"I'm sorry, I have many strengths, but I also have many weaknesses. One of them is that I'm narrow-minded." Wang Chong turned around and said, "There's no need to slap you. I'm afraid you can't withstand it. But don't even think about getting down from there today. Just hang there and reflect on your actions. Don't let your words bring trouble upon the whole family in the future."

After saying this, Wang Chong waved his sleeve and left, as if he had come here simply to treat people's illnesses, without any intention of lingering. This left the members of the Yeti team present exchanging bewildered glances.

"Sir...sir, I really know I was wrong, please put me down..." Big Bear cried out, on the verge of tears, which made the Yeti team below unable to hold back any longer and laugh at Big Bear.

Chapter Eighteen: Froststar's Approach

"So, that's why the bear was hanging there?"

At this moment, Frostnova had regained consciousness and looked up to see the Yeti members surrounding her, as well as a large bear that had been hanging there for a long time, whimpering.

Froststar only remembered that she was saved by Wang Chong. After all, although she was in great pain at the time, she was still aware of her surroundings. She knew very well that she was able to get through the crisis because of Wang Chong's help.

Especially after being enveloped in the black mist, Frostnova surprisingly didn't feel uncomfortable; in fact, her whole body began to feel warm... This was the feeling of warmth she desperately craved. Since contracting Oripathy, her senses had been reduced to only cold and pain. Unfortunately, she couldn't touch anything that provided warmth, like fire; those things felt to her like having a scorching hot iron touching her skin.

Even hot drinks couldn't warm her up. Warm food and water would burn her insides. Therefore, she preferred a spicy candy from Ursus, made with a mixture of alcohol and spices. The spiciness gave her a fleeting illusion of warmth.

But now, Froststar felt as if a parched land had received rain, experiencing warmth. Already exhausted, she quickly fell into a deep sleep after the pain was removed from her support. Therefore, Froststar was unaware of what happened afterward; she only knew that she was now beginning to miss the feeling of being in the black mist.

"Sister, please say some good words for me. I would be so embarrassed if I were hung for the whole day." Big Bear said with a sad face.

"Don't you think what you did wasn't embarrassing enough? Besides, I don't even know him, what's the point of me saying anything? It would be more appropriate to let Talulah do it, after all, he's pursuing Talulah, not me," Frostnova said irritably.

"Hehe, in my eyes, the eldest sister's charm is no less than that of the leader of Talulah, maybe..."

"Ding--"

A sword formed from black ice crystals hung directly above the bear's head. Petrova couldn't help but shake her head and rub her forehead. This stupid bear really dared to say anything.

"Big...Big Sister!" Big Bear looked at the black sword hanging above his head and trembled with fear.

"Shut up, Petrova. Keep an eye on him. He's not coming down today." Frostnova's face darkened. What did she mean by having to compete with Talulah in charm? What? Did she have to steal that man from her? What would people say if that got out? That she was stealing Talulah's man?

Froststar shook her head. Although she admitted that the black mist had indeed stirred some thoughts in her, she didn't have any worldly feelings for Wang Chong for the time being. In fact, she wasn't particularly interested in matters of the heart. Her mind was currently preoccupied with how to save this land.

"Hey everyone! I've brought the captain back!"

Just then, Yang Ge's voice came from afar, followed by a giant shadow descending from the sky. It seemed to leap across the sky and landed directly in front of Froststar, shaking up a snowflake that turned into a snow mist, showing how hasty the arrival was.

"Yelena...your body?" The person who appeared before them was none other than Patriot, whom Yang had gone out to find. After hearing about Frostnova's health problems, Patriot arranged for the guerrillas to patrol as planned and immediately ran back, fearing he would be too late. When he saw a group of people gathered there, he thought something had happened to Frostnova, and in his anxiety, he immediately activated his marching stance and quickly arrived.

But to his surprise, Froststar stood perfectly fine before him, as if nothing had happened, and even looked much better than before. Suspicious, Patriot immediately inquired.

"Dad, it was that..." Seeing Patriot rushing back, Frostnova felt a warmth in her heart, and then told Patriot everything that had just happened.

"You mean, he used the power of the black mist to suppress your illness this time, right?" Patriot asked seriously.

“Yes… although we’ve never been sure about his attitude, we owe him a favor this time,” Froststar said.

Patriot nodded and said, "Of course, I will inform Talulah about this once she returns."

As he spoke, Patriot glanced at the bear that was hanging there, and then at Frostnova.

"Ignore him, he brought it on himself, let him hang there for a while," Frostnova said directly.

“Okay, come with me for a moment, I need to check on your condition again. The rest of you, continue to rest here,” Patriot said.

Frostnova nodded, understanding that Patriot wanted to speak with her privately. She then followed him away from the Yeti camp, to an open area. Patriot first grasped Frostnova's wrist, chanting ancient and obscure words. A faint blue light then shone from his hand. After carefully assessing Frostnova's physical condition, Patriot finally released her hand and said:

"Hmm... the activity of the Originium has been temporarily suppressed. His body shows no abnormalities, and his black mist... can indeed save lives," Patriot said directly.

“In that case, wouldn’t his power be useless against us Infected…” Frostnova was about to say something when Patriot stopped her.

"Have you considered... what price he'll have to pay to suppress this? His identity... we need to think this through carefully... we can't rush things. We must inform Talulah." Patriot's throat began to hoarse; having just used Originium Arts, his physical condition was clearly not very good.

Froststar felt a pang of heartache. If the black mist could bring her a sliver of warmth again, if this power could help her fellow infected, even setting aside a cure—something Froststar herself considered impossible—simply suppressing their symptoms during flare-ups and reducing their suffering would be incredibly good news for them. Especially for her father's voice, at least he wouldn't have to strain so much to speak.

But she also understood that her father was right. The other party was not a member of the Reunion Movement, and it was impossible for them to use this power without paying a price. What right or obligation did they have to ask them to do so? The other party had helped her once in a while, and it was probably only because of Talulah.

Unbeknownst to them, both father and daughter tacitly attributed Wang Chong's recent assistance to Talulah. After all, if Wang Chong wanted to win Talulah's heart, he needed to gain her favor, and helping the members of the Reunion Movement led by Talulah was clearly the most direct and effective way.

"Dad, should I go and meet this person to learn more about him?" Froststar asked.

“No… please continue.” Patriot frowned, about to refuse, but then he thought about how easily the other party could suppress Froststar’s condition, which made him hesitate. So he decided to listen to Froststar’s advice.

“I know Dad is worried about me, but this time my life was saved by Mr. Wang Chong, so it’s only right and proper that I personally visit him to express my gratitude. Since I have to make contact with him anyway, I might as well take this opportunity to gather more information so I can inform you how to handle this matter. What do you think?” Shuangxing said.

Patriot thought for a long time, weighing the pros and cons and the other party's performance, and finally nodded, saying, "Alright, be careful."

After hearing Patriot's agreement, Frostnova smiled slightly and said, "Don't worry, I'll make contact this afternoon and bring back some good news."

……

"Yawn... This is so boring. I'm dying of boredom while waiting for the system upgrade to finish. I've been refraining from interfering too much with the plot because I'm worried that during the system upgrade, any interference I do will not count as villain points, and then I'll have lost a lot of resources." Wang Chong sat in front of the brazier roasting sweet potatoes, silently waiting for them to be cooked through.

"I almost regretted killing those inner guards last night. If they counted as villain points, I wonder how many I would have gotten. I just killed them like that, without any system notification or increase in villain points. The only improvement they gave was a slight increase in the strength of my dilapidated black mist, but that little bit of black mist is less than what I get in a day by automatically converting it with the third method running," Wang Chong thought to himself.

"Whew... It's finally roasted! This is the first batch of sweet potatoes harvested from the Dimensional House. Let's taste them and see how they taste." Feeling that the time was about right, Wang Chong took one out, peeled off the skin, and immediately a rich aroma wafted out.

"Smell... It smells so good! What are you roasting?" Just then, a girl's voice rang out beside Wang Chong. A pair of snow-white rabbit ears twitched with lively spirit, and a pair of beautiful eyes were staring intently at the sweet potato in Wang Chong's hand.

Chapter Nineteen: Froststar: I'll Help You Win Over Talulah

Wang Chong wasn't surprised to see someone appear beside him; with his current level of sensory awareness, he was acutely aware of his surroundings. He was curious about what this little rabbit, Carter's, whom he had just healed, intended to do.

However, he did not expect that the first thing the other party said was about his roasted sweet potatoes.

"Roasted sweet potato, haven't you ever seen one? Want one?" Wang Chong picked up another roasted sweet potato, handed it to Shuangxing, and said.

"...No, I can't eat this right now. It's too hot." Shuangxing stared at the sweet potato that Wang Chong handed to her and sniffed it for a long time, but finally shook her head and sat next to Wang Chong.

"Is it because of your health?" Wang Chong put down the sweet potato and asked.

"You know that?"

"After all, I used my black mist to suppress the activation reaction of the Originium in your body, so how could I not know your physical condition?" Wang Chong continued to peel the skin of the sweet potato in his hand. He didn't even let go of the sweet potato puree on the skin, and directly sucked it into his mouth to savor it.

Seeing Wang Chong eating like that, Shuangxing swallowed hard and said, "Is it really that delicious? You're licking the skin clean."

"It's delicious! In fact, the part stuck to the skin is the best part—it's soft, crispy, and crunchy. Why don't you try it and see?" Wang Chong pointed to the roasted sweet potato placed in front of Shuangxing and said.

"You know perfectly well I can't eat that much," Froststar said irritably.

“That’s true… but this thing tastes best when it’s freshly baked; it loses its flavor when it’s cold,” Wang Chong said.

"Is this guy just trying to piss me off? No wonder Talulah reminded me before that I should be prepared for my emotions to get out of control when communicating with this guy." Frost Star couldn't help but complain in her heart.

"Miss Froststar, what brings you to my place?"

Upon hearing Wang Chong inquire about the purpose of her visit, Shuangxing took the opportunity to explain her intentions: "I came specifically to thank Mr. Wang Chong. I also want to apologize for the rudeness of my brothers."

"Oh, that? I'd completely forgotten about it." Wang Chong shrugged, indicating that he didn't care.

"If you really forgot, then how come Big Bear is still hanging on you? You even said yourself that you're petty." Froststar thought to herself, then said calmly, "Perhaps this is just a trivial matter for Mr. Wang Chong, but for us, especially for me, there is no doubt that Mr. Wang Chong has saved my life. If you ever need any help in the future, feel free to come to me."
