"Ugh—!" With a final, powerful thrust, Wang Chong released everything at the deepest point. Kui covered her mouth and screamed as she reached her peak, convulsing and tightening her grip on the still-spraying spray gun, as if trying to squeeze out every last drop of liquid.

"Ha...ha..." Aoi gasped for breath, tears welling in her eyes, her face full of satisfaction.

"Congratulations, Aoi. Rin hasn't turned around yet. You managed to avoid being discovered by the child." Wang Chong said with a smile, ruffling Aoi's hair. "There's still a long way to go. I'll keep ambushing you two, so you'd better keep up the good work!"

After saying that, Wang Chong had already vanished from the classroom, leaving behind Tohsaka Aoi, who was leaning against the wall, slowly sitting down, and hadn't recovered for a long time.

In a certain room

"Oh my, Master looks like he's having a lot of fun~" Black Alice smiled sweetly as she watched the scenes on the monitor.

"However, the two poor ladies probably never imagined that Master never intended for anyone to win. After all, he treats us all with relatively equal affection. Unless we commit some serious offense, it's impossible for us to be banished to the 'cold palace' for a month. Master simply enjoys and bullies the way the two ladies desperately try to win and avoid giving themselves away in front of the children," Black Alice said with a grin, seemingly explaining to no one in particular.

"Hehe, no matter how hard you try to endure, Master will eventually make macro-adjustments so that you all climb to the top the exact same number of times~ Enjoy Master's pampering of you today, something that no one else can enjoy today... Hmm, it's just a pity for these children, today they've completely become part of everyone's play... Hmm? Oh my?"

Just then, Black Irisviel noticed something odd about a child's gaze. The seemingly well-behaved and quiet Sakura kept glancing back and forth in the direction of Aoi and Irisviel, then scribbling something in her notebook.

"Oh dear~ Could it be that Master has a straggler? Did this child notice something? That's impossible... With Master's power, altering visual perception shouldn't be a problem. It's probably just an illusion; these two guys probably look too strange, and Sakura remembered them." Black Alice didn't pay much attention to this matter.

However, both Black Alice and Wang Chong forgot that Sakura... because of the Imaginary Number Magic, had already been able to see a completely different world.

Here's a summary of what I wanted to say (you can skip this part).

The first volume has finally come to an end. This is my second contracted work and my first attempt at a crossover anime/manga style. My self-evaluation is mixed; there are so many things that need improvement. I also want to thank all the readers who have supported me along the way; your subscriptions, coins, and votes are the author's biggest motivation QAQ.

It's been about half a year since I started writing this book. The book and I share the same birthday, so it has a lot of significance for me. I've been working on it repeatedly, afraid that some parts might be wrong or confusing. I've often complained in the subscription group and asked about some things related to the settings. After all, I'm pretty much in a semi-retired, semi-cloud-based state when it comes to the second game. Sometimes, filling in the gaps in the plot is really a painstaking and laborious task (;'д`)ゞ.

Now let's talk about the plot first. My first self-criticism: padding. The Fourth Shinobi World War has nearly 400 chapters, which is indeed too long, and I've seen many comments complaining about this. Regarding this, the author will take the criticism without retaliating (ㄒoㄒ). As for the reasons, there are probably two:

First, the author is overly concerned with the perfection and rationality of the setting, spending a large portion of the time explaining why the protagonist does what he does and what his purpose is. He seems afraid that he won't be able to resolve the plot holes properly, or that the readers won't understand.

But regarding these things, most people are actually just here to read in a relaxed way. Sometimes readers will selectively forgive the author for some minor logical errors. As long as readers enjoy reading and find it comfortable, they will be tolerant of the author's flaws.

When the author himself is a reader, he selectively tolerates some seemingly ridiculous plot points—for example, the Three Kingdoms period, which supposedly loved and admired poetry, is depicted as a time when someone plagiarizes a Song Dynasty poem and wins praise from numerous literati. From a literary perspective, this is indeed problematic, but the plot of a pretentious plagiarist being humiliated is still entertaining as long as the emotions are right. So why continue to criticize the author's mistakes?

At least I, as the author, will be tolerant of this (~ ̄▽ ̄)~. Of course, everyone's personality is different, but generally speaking, if you can get what the reader wants, they will be forgiving of minor flaws. After all, no one is perfect, and pursuing perfection blindly is putting the cart before the horse.

Secondly, the author wanted to have it all. Perhaps it was greed at play (so much for his wife!), or perhaps he genuinely added too much background information, resulting in a story that, despite being just about the Fourth Shinobi World War, dragged in a whole host of characters. Ryougi Shiki, Aozaki Touko, Leticia, Sajō Aika, Arcueid, Merlin, and so on, not to mention the numerous Servants originally drawn in by the main characters. With so many characters, a lengthy storyline was inevitable; you can't just include people without giving them screen time or highlights, can you?

The plot connections and transitions between characters are handled with ease when padding out the word count (not really). A slight misstep can result in the plot failing to advance much, and then, oh wow!, the word count for this chapter is met. As a result, it has to be postponed. This is entirely the author's fault for being incompetent; unable to use concise language to connect the plot, they have to rely on lengthening the text to slowly transition between characters (T ^ T).

So, regarding the writing style, all I can say is that I'm constantly improving and optimizing. Ultimately, it's just that I'm a bit inexperienced and lack sufficient writing skills, so I can only ask readers for their understanding (ㄒoㄒ). (Whispering comment: I hope things will improve starting from the second volume.)

The second point of self-criticism: plot setting and conflict.

I've noticed, to some extent, that many of my plot points felt forced, and some of the strategic battles, upon reflection, felt rather strained. This inevitably affected the viewing experience. ╮(╯﹏╰)╭ Not to mention, many plot points weren't really relevant to the main storyline: for example, the system shop – I barely used it, and some of the characters I acquired are now just background characters: Aika, Illya, Ryougi Shiki, etc…

In this regard, I can only say to read more good works and see how other authors handle things. Ultimately, it comes down to a lack of experience... For this, I can only say that I'm sorry that what you're encountering now is me as I grow, not the me who will reach my peak in the future... |*'A`)ノ I also thank the readers for their understanding and for accompanying me as I continue to grow.

That's enough self-criticism for now. If you have any suggestions for the author, please leave them in this comment. The author may not reply, but I can guarantee that I will read them all carefully.

Now, let me talk about some recent events. An unpleasant incident happened during the National Day holiday this month… being plagiarized is something that happens all the time in this industry; it's nothing unusual. Generally, once the plagiarized book is taken down, the matter is considered closed. However, out of revenge, someone reported the book and the book's online community. We don't know if the person is still hiding in the community, but because of this person, it's impossible to post any daring content in the outermost book groups anymore.

I won't say more; the author doesn't have time to go looking for more or cause any more trouble. After all, the author knows that their writing... isn't exactly presentable. Perhaps this is the bitterness that comes with having to swallow this kind of bitterness o(︶︿︶)o.

If you have any requests for special offers, the group announcements clearly state them. Extra chapters and other perks are all available in the fully subscribed group, which has a minimum subscription requirement. I also know what most readers of this book like to read. In future chapters, I will balance the amount of plot and special offers, ensuring everyone enjoys both (laughs).

Finally, there's the plot of Volume Two, where the protagonist begins preparing to enter Arknights to grind for villain points. The author will also carefully consider how to fill in the issues they've identified in the second volume. For example, will characters like Ilya and Ayaka have a role to play? Of course, the most crucial element is handling the atmosphere and story to ensure the reader enjoys the narrative and finds something that resonates with them.

You need to adopt the same spirit as a young man, treating your readers like a loving wife, constantly exploring and developing their sensitivities. Once this becomes a habit, you'll be sure to win them over. What readers can't you poach? (Sounds confident and self-assured) (What a wonderful metaphor!)

So, thank you all for joining me for Volume 2! (ゝω???)

Volume Two: This Land...

Chapter One: Flames Burn the Village

"Ah...ah..."

With a trembling body, the white-haired Drak shed a final tear as she gazed at the raging fire burning in the village. This was a tragedy she had created with her own hands, a symbol of the hatred in her heart finally taking root and sprouting.

Under the curse of her body, the hatred and darkness had become like a boulder falling from a mountain, unstoppable once it began. The tears were like the last remnants of kindness in her heart, slowly being squeezed out of her body.

There's no going back. Once you accept him, once you understand him, once you realize what kind of land you're on... you'll eventually become him too.

This is the tragic end of this grand act of righteousness on the snowy plains, and it will also become the origin and beginning of the next tragedy...

However, a spatial rift that appeared in front of a house began to ripple the course of this world.

……

"Tap..."

"Snow...and flames all around? Could it be that I've been parachuted into a battlefield in some snowy plain?" As soon as Wang Chong stepped out of the space, a wave of heat blew through his hair. Wang Chong immediately looked around. Snow, villages, flames, and the sounds of wailing echoed everywhere, making it hard not to think of a war-torn region.

After all, Wang Chong had already appreciated enough of these landscapes in the Middle East region of the Type-Moon universe.

"Hmm?" At this moment, Wang Chong finally noticed a white-haired woman in a military uniform, covered in blood, walking towards him like a walking corpse. It was obvious that the fire in this village was likely related to this man who looked like a sergeant. The most striking feature of the woman was the pair of horns-like structures on her head.

"No way... Talulah?"

Dragon horns, white hair, military uniform... coupled with the current environment of snowfields, flames, and villages, Wang Chong instantly realized who the person in front of him was and what an awkward timeline they were currently in.

Meanwhile, the Black Serpent, which had been steadily expanding Talulah's dark side and gradually gaining control of her body, was in a very good mood. Through its meticulous planning and manipulation of human nature, it had already predetermined Talulah's current fate.

It could certainly sense the resistance of Talulah's remaining will, but that could no longer stop it. Now was the time to take over this body and fulfill the true value of "Talulah".

"Hmm, there's still one living person? Their clothing... it's somewhat Colombian in style. But why can't I find any racial features in their appearance? Are they hidden or..."

But at that moment, the black snake sensed a gaze and looked in the direction of the gaze, only to discover that there was still one living person left in the village who had not been burned.

"Judging from your appearance, you're probably not from this village. You seem more like a merchant who came to Ursus for trade. But unfortunately, tonight you can only become Talulah's sacrifice."

The black snake controlled Talulah's body. No matter how much her remaining will struggled, she could only watch helplessly as she raised her butcher's knife and once again reaped the last surviving person in the village.

Upon seeing the man draw his knife, the man showed a look of terror, trembling all over. He tried to flee but was too frightened to move his legs. Black Snake noticed his reaction, which dispelled his initial wariness of the suddenly appearing stranger.

"For the glory of Ursus, become the final sacrifice for my daughter's fall." The black serpent laughed as it raised its sword, Originium Arts causing it to blaze with flames. Then, it slashed at the man's neck.

"Chong-"

Then, the black snake's smile froze, and a sound that could never have come from a human body echoed between the two. The man, who had been terrified, now wore a mocking expression.

"No, this is really too weak. Whew~"

Wang Chong tilted his head and blew a breath onto the flaming longsword, which wasn't hot at all. The vaporization-freezing technique activated, and the longsword, along with the attached flames, began to freeze into ice.

The black snake finally realized that this person was no ordinary merchant passing by. Based on its understanding, it was likely that Talulah might not be able to defeat him. Seeing the icy aura spreading to its hands, the black snake immediately controlled Talulah's body, discarding its longsword, and then retreated rapidly, trying to create distance between itself and its opponent.

"boom!"

Black Serpent felt a sharp pain in his abdomen, and the surrounding environment rushed forward. Then, his back and the back of his head slammed against the wall. The buzzing in his ears and the dizzying sensation made Black Serpent feel extremely uncomfortable. If it weren't for Black Serpent's incredibly tenacious will and Talulah's own physical strength, he would probably have already passed out from this blow.

"Ha...ha...where did such a being come from? I have records of powerful figures from all over the world in my mind. But none of them can match this person in front of me."

The Black Serpent never expected that at the crucial moment when its plan to corrupt Talulah was just one step away from success, such a variable would suddenly appear. If Talulah were to die here for no reason, wouldn't its painstakingly constructed scheme be completely ruined?

As the opponent drew closer, the black snake secretly began to gather its strength using its Originium Arts, waiting for its chance to strike like a true venomous snake.

"Who...who exactly are you?" The black snake silently hoped that the other party would get closer while gathering its strength.

“Don’t you think you should state your name before asking others? Especially since you were the one who started it, and now you’re the one crawling on the ground like a defeated dog,” Wang Chong said slowly.

"Me? Talulah... is just an ordinary infected person," Black Serpent said bluntly.

"Infected? So all these villagers were burned to death by you using Originium Arts?" Wang Chong crossed his arms and looked at the other person with a scrutinizing attitude.

"Was he standing up for those ordinary villagers?" Black Serpent wondered to himself, then, feigning rage and intense hatred, he shouted, "They deserve to die!"

Then, the black figure began recounting the villagers' crimes: luring the infected into the warehouse, locking them up, and starving them to death. The performance was so vivid that, if Wang Chong hadn't known the plot, he would have truly believed the figure acted out of righteous indignation, unable to suppress his anger, which led him to burn the entire village alive.

“Now that those people are dead, my compatriots have been avenged. If you wish to take my life to avenge those unjustly killed village women and children, then go ahead and do it.”

The black snake tried its best to appear ready to die a heroic death. It wasn't betting that its opponent was a kind-hearted person who would simply stand up for the villagers and spare its life after learning the truth. It simply wanted to use this performance to make the opponent believe it was a bold and impulsive person. Only in this way could it launch a sneak attack if the opponent approached to kill it. After all, who would be wary of a straightforward person?

"Hahaha, why should I avenge those people? Just like you said, didn't they deserve to die? Well, good riddance." However, Wang Chong's smiling reply made the black snake suspicious. It had no idea what kind of thoughts this person was harboring.

A kind and righteous person? Then why don't they feel the same righteous indignation as I do, instead they have a smug and gloating look on their faces?

"So, does Your Excellency mean you intend to spare my life?" the black snake asked.

"Spare your life? Are you mistaken?" Wang Chong pointed to his neck and said, "What price do you think you'll have to pay for this?"

"I understand. He's just a nasty and self-centered guy." After understanding the other party's personality, Black Snake breathed a sigh of relief. This kind of person is actually very easy to control as long as you cater to their preferences and satisfy their desires.

Moreover, the black snake also understood the unspoken message: the question of what price he needed to pay implied that there was still room for negotiation and that the other party did not intend to kill him outright.

"My answer is my fate. But if you wanted it, you would have taken it from the beginning and wouldn't have been wasting time talking to me like this. So what price do you want me to pay?" the black snake asked.

“It’s simple.” Wang Chong took another step forward, slowly approaching, and then pinched Talulah’s chin with his hand, saying, “I want your body. Are you willing to give it to me?”

Chapter Two: If you walk by the river often enough, you're bound to get your shoes wet.

Want this body?

Black Serpent was taken aback, then quickly understood. It seemed the other party was after Talulah's beauty, which was why they hadn't killed her on the first strike. Black Serpent had to admit that Talulah did indeed have good genes; even though her fashion sense was terrible, dressing herself like a man, it couldn't hide the noble beauty hidden in her blood.

Moreover, Talulah had honed her etiquette and demeanor herself over the years; this refinement and habit were ingrained in her very being, giving her the charm and style befitting a noblewoman in every gesture. It was perfectly natural for her to attract young men.

However, because of this, Black Serpent's opinion of the person before him lowered slightly. A person who couldn't control his lower body, even with immense strength, was simply someone Black Serpent could manipulate at will. Black Serpent even felt that it wasn't worth it to be on top of him.

So now there's only one question left to consider: Is Talulah's virginity worth the price of gaining this powerful man's participation? Black Serpent believes it is. Although the man's character is questionable, his ability to freeze Talulah's flames without a staff, his terrifying physique that can withstand a sword strike to the neck unscathed, and his ability to kick Talulah away with a single blow—this monstrous strength, if added to his scheme, will undoubtedly accelerate his grand plan to revive Ursus.

Thinking this, the black snake didn't immediately stop its spell, but instead planned to agree verbally and see what the other party would do. However, when it met the other party's eyes, which were filled with amusement, the black snake's heart skipped a beat: Could someone with such formidable strength really be as simple as it thought?

"No, he's been observing my behavior. And I just clearly showed a straightforward and passionate personality. But if I agree now, it would be a complete contradiction."

The black snake realized what was happening, so it feigned anger and said, "A scholar can be killed but not humiliated. If you want my body, then I'd rather die!"

"Hahahaha..." Wang Chong burst into laughter after hearing this, shaking his head as he said, "I never expected you to interpret this sentence like that. Seeing is believing, indeed..."

"What do you mean by that..." Black Snake felt a chill run down his spine, and an ominous feeling inexplicably crept into his heart.

"What do you mean?" Wang Chong feigned a question, then leaned closer to Talulah's ear and whispered, "Should I call you Talulah, or should I call you... 'The Undying Black Serpent'?"

"..."

The black snake instantly understood everything. From the very beginning, the other party's target wasn't anyone else, but it. No, it wasn't just itself; the words "wanting this body" meant that the other party also had their eyes on the value Talulah possessed.

"die--"

Without hesitation, at such close range, the black serpent manipulated Talulah's Originium Arts, and scorching flames exploded between the two. However, before the exploding flames could fully spread, they were frozen again.

But the black serpent seemed to have anticipated this, and with its other hand, it touched Talulah's body. It never expected its fire magic to have any effect on the other party; all it needed to do was activate its Originium Arts so that it could be on top of the man before it.

"Well……"

Wang Chong let out a muffled groan, as if he had suffered a blow. Seeing this, the Black Serpent breathed a slight sigh of relief. Fortunately, it had already made contact with the other party using its most unique Originium Arts. Given enough time, this person before it would inevitably become one of its clones.

But the next second, the black snake was horrified. It could feel its separated consciousness being forcibly swallowed up. Forget about controlling it; it couldn't even shake its soul. It was directly transformed into nourishment, completely devoured.

"Consciousness and soul... Hehehe, this land is truly my blessed land." Wang Chong appeared completely unaffected at this moment; everything that had just happened was merely a disguise on his part.

"Okay, I've had enough fun. Black Snake, it's time to say goodbye to this body of yours. Power of Destruction..." At this moment, Wang Chong's aura was no longer concealed. A large amount of black mist rose from Wang Chong's body and directly invaded Tallulah's body in the most intuitive form.

As the saying goes, "He who walks by the river will eventually get his shoes wet." The black snake, who was used to possessing and brainwashing others, never imagined that one day it would face being possessed and brainwashed itself. But more than its fate, it was shocked by the methods Wang Chong displayed and his unparalleled power.

"Evil... evil spirits... wait, no..."

After uttering its last few words, the black snake was completely absorbed and assimilated by the black mist.

"A demon? They didn't think I was a demon just because I have black mist, did they? Hmm? Something's not right. How could I escape like that? Terra's Originium Arts seem to be more complex than I thought."

After assimilating the black snake, Wang Chong absorbed its memories, but he quickly realized something was amiss. He had indeed brainwashed the black snake, but he hadn't completely brainwashed and devoured it.

To be precise, the black serpent he devoured was merely a fragment of the consciousness of the concept of an immortal black serpent. Even after he devoured this black serpent, people in the land of Ursus would still be possessed by reborn black serpents. In the last memories Wang Chong collected, the next black serpent had already possessed a history teacher.

Moreover, what surprised Wang Chong the most was that the black snake could continuously resonate with the consciousness of the black snake he controlled, trying to break free from the brainwashing. Of course, the black snake, already assimilated into a ghost, couldn't break free from the brainwashing without Wang Chong's permission. After all, in terms of strength, the black snake was no match for Wang Chong's overwhelming power.

However, it must be said that the fact that it can affect his current ghostly state demonstrates that Originium Arts and Originium itself are not something to be underestimated. It simply means that Terra's current civilization has not fully explored the true potential of Originium.

Wang Chong looked at Talulah. Having lost the Black Serpent, Talulah could no longer withstand the mental blow and the subsequent shock, and ultimately fainted temporarily. Wang Chong held Talulah in his arms, first dispelling the vaporization and freezing technique he had just used, then closing his eyes and allowing the black mist to seep into Talulah's body. He began to carefully sense the Originium particles hidden within Talulah's body—that is, Oripathy.

"Unfortunately, since entering the second world, the system has suddenly entered an upgrade phase. It will take another three days to complete the upgrade and officially appear. Otherwise, we could have the system scan us now to see what's going on with this Oripathy and Originium." Wang Chong shook his head, relying solely on his magical knowledge from the other world and his own power to make comparisons.

"It's a bit like a meme... but there are differences. It possesses both memes and pheromones, as well as a vast amount of energy. It can be used to store and compile information, and it can also reverse-engineer and transform reality... This energy is even comparable to True Aether in the Type-Moon universe, and the miracles it creates are in no way inferior to the Five Great Laws. Is this really the world of Arknights, the one with the localized uprising war? Have I been out of the loop for too long?"

Soon, Wang Chong opened his eyes, his brows furrowing. His memories of Arknights' storyline stopped at the ending of Howling Light. Oh, and he also briefly mentioned a roguelike scenario where the Sea King destroys the world. Aside from that, he didn't have any other deep memories of the Arknights' plot.

In his view, even if the so-called Sea Heir were to destroy the world, he could withstand it single-handedly. After all, his corrosive power of decay was a natural counter to such beings without individual consciousness. However, now, he might have to re-examine this planet and the stories unfolding on this land.
