"Your people?" he asked.

“My people have already left.” Xileina closed her eyes and nodded.

"You're... from the First Division of the Rapid Response Team? Yes! I know you!" The confidant drew his pistol.

"But I don't know you."

As Jiang Zhengge was speaking, a cleaner pushed a cart past behind him.

He casually pulled a silver PM pistol from the cleaner's waist.

"Clap clap clap!"

Three precise shots, muffled by the noise of the downpour, sent his confidant and bodyguard to the ground, their foreheads stained with blood.

The remaining bodyguard drew his gun to shoot Jiang Zhengge, but a slender hand gripped the back of his neck and squeezed hard—

"Crack!"

tide Lena released her grip, and the bodyguard collapsed to the ground, motionless.

Jiang Zhengge then walked into the private room and closed the door.

He turned his head, glanced at Pan Enfu on the ground, and clicked his tongue in disdain:

"Your taste in men has gotten worse."

“You know perfectly well that I didn’t choose him; he was parachuted in!” Xileina puffed out her cheeks slightly.

Jiang Zhengge chuckled and tossed the silver custom-made PM pistol to tide Leina, who caught it.

“I’m here to return the gun,” he said. “I owe you a favor from Waldaff.”

"What do you mean 'for the sake of it'? You owe me a favor," tide Leina muttered under her breath. "You're quite clever, aren't you? How did you find out that I don't like Pan Enfu?"

“When he posts on social media, he calls you a Gypsy,” Jiang Zhengge laughed. “If you have a good enough personal relationship with him, you will correct him to the non-discriminatory term ‘Roma’.”

"You know me quite well."

tide Lena turned around and looked at the huge four-sided stage outside the private room in the pouring rain: her band had taken over and was playing a Gypsy jazz tune.

"Look how many times bigger my stage is compared to when I was a street musician in New Orleans!" Her voice carried a hint of pride. "Aren't you going to congratulate me?"

“What’s so strange about that?” Jiang Zhengge said.

“It’s not surprising, you’ve come here so many times secretly,” Xileina turned her head, “did you think I didn’t know?”

“Of course you know,” Jiang Zhengge said softly, “then why are you bragging to me?”

For a moment, the two were speechless, simply gazing at each other silently.

After staring at Jiang Zhengge for a while, tide Leina reached out and tossed the silver PM pistol back to him.

"Take it, it's yours. The coating on this gun is special; it can conceal the internal blue energy signal. Theoretically, it can be filled with whale-sound bullets without being detected by the blue radar. It's quite useful... Use it to assassinate a demigod or something."

“Such a small-caliber whale-sound bullet, it probably can’t even kill you, right?” Jiang Zhengge grabbed the pistol and muttered, “I always use large-caliber ones.”

“If we shoot right at the heart, we should be able to kill him,” Xileina said seriously.

She turned around, slowly walked to the edge of the private room, and put her hand into the rain.

“I know what you want from me—intelligence on Project Black Star, right? But I can’t tell you too much.”

"Why didn't you tell me?" Jiang Zhengge said.

"Because right now, I'm the one pushing forward Project Black Star."

tide Leina turned around and looked directly at Jiang Zhengge once again.

This time, her eyes held a hint of sadness.

“The Black Star is destined to rise, and you can’t stop us now,” Xileina said softly. “Old Jiang, stop. Some things are beyond our control.”

Chapter 12 Informing (Fourth Update)

After placing the bugging device, Lin Chen and Li Zhanyi quickly left towards the entrance of the underground parking garage.

At that moment, Louis's voice came through the earpiece:

"Attention, a reinforcement convoy is approaching; it seems Mr. P has sent people!"

"That was pretty quick," Lin Chen said in a low voice. "Old Jiang, are you done?"

Jiang Zhengge did not respond.

"We need to stall the convoy and not disturb Lao Jiang's enjoyment," Lin Chen muttered.

“Thirty seconds later, enter the underground parking garage,” Li Zhanyi’s eyes gleamed with a deep blue light. “Any ideas?”

“There is one.”

Lin Chen inserted a can of Azure Factor into his neck, shook his wrist, and walked to the middle of the road.

"I'll give them a big one," Lin Chen said.

"What big? What big?" Li Zhanyi asked hurriedly, "Don't keep me in suspense, I can't predict you!"

You'll find out soon enough.

As the projection appeared, Lin Chen covered his eyes and began to repeatedly sketch the riverside outside the Olympic Sports Center in his mind.

This process of outlining spatial coordinates is very difficult; every sound around him can affect his accuracy. Lin Chen began to understand why Euclid wore a helmet.

The good news is that, since he hasn't developed his spatial tearing ability to a very high degree, this superpower doesn't put a great strain on his body.

Is this good news?

Lin Chen shook off the unnecessary thoughts and continued to sketch the coordinates.

On the road outside the underground parking garage, a long convoy of troop transport vehicles was entering one by one.

"Captain, we're entering the Olympic Sports Center," a fully armed soldier checked his watch in the vehicle. "Do we have clearance to shoot?"

“Mr. P said to play around as you please, and he’ll take responsibility,” the captain said in a low voice. “If you spot any suspicious targets, open fire immediately.”

"This is insane, there are seventy or eighty thousand people in there..." the soldier whispered. "A stray bullet could take a life..."

"Kid, you've been doing this job for money for so long, don't you understand the basics?"

The convoy passed through the archway and entered the underground parking garage.

"Get your weapons ready," the captain ordered, and the soldiers quickly released their safety pins.

"Captain! There are people ahead!" the driver shouted.

The captain looked through the small window at the windshield and saw a man wearing a mask and a trench coat standing in the middle of the road, raising one hand forward.

That looked like... like they were forcing it to stop.

"What do we do?" the driver asked.

“Ram it, we have kill permission,” the captain said coldly.

The driver slammed on the gas pedal, a cruel look on his face: after so long as an urban executioner, the thirst for blood was ingrained in his bones.

"Om——"

Just as the car was about to hit the person blocking the way, suddenly, a beautiful river view came into view—

"Ahhhh!"

A sudden feeling of weightlessness descended, and the passengers screamed as they plummeted from the air toward the river.

However, the second car, the third car, the fourth car...

"call!"

Lin Chen closed the triangular door, feeling a throbbing pain in his temples.

“Louis, how is it?” He pressed the earpiece.

"They all fell into the river and became fish food. It's raining heavily now, and there are no witnesses on the surveillance cameras. I don't know how many of them will survive."

"Serves him right." Lin Chen exhaled.

He turned his head and found Li Zhanyi looking at him with a strange expression.

"what happened?"

"It's nothing," Li Zhanyi shook her head, "I feel like you can be quite mischievous sometimes..."

“This is malicious, it saves us from fighting them,” Lin Chen laughed. “Let’s go, let’s go outside and wait for Section Chief Jiang.”

"it is good."

Li Zhanyi's pupils flashed several times with a deep blue light. After confirming that no one was around, she led the way to the entrance of the underground parking garage.

......

“I have to go back, Part Two is about to begin,” Xileina said. “You can leave through the staff entrance. I’ve told my people, they won’t stop you.”

After saying that, tide Leina walked towards the door, brushing past Jiang Zhengge.

She hoped that Jiang Zhengge would stop her, that he would at least show some kind of pleading.

But Jiang Zhengge just stood there, silently watching her leave.

"..."

As she reached the door, tide Leina sighed and then turned to look at Jiang Zhengge.

"Aren't you going to stop it?" she said softly. "This is a deal, and I'm going to get it for free."

“You won’t get something for nothing,” Jiang Zhengge said. “I’ve solved a problem for you, so you have to solve one for me.”

“I’m a demigod. Don’t you think all demigods are bad guys?” Xileina said. “How can bad guys have a sense of contract?”

“You are different from other demigods,” Jiang Zhengge said with certainty.

tide Lena smiled. She looked really beautiful when she smiled, but her sweet face always seemed to carry a touch of sadness.

"Tomorrow night, Triton will go to the Southeast Sea to deal with the data redundancy left in subspace by the whale nest debris."

tide Leina stared directly at Jiang Zhengge.

"He and his team will travel directly by the Royal Draco luxury cruise ship, disembark when they pass through the southeast sea, and carry out their operation covertly."

"If you can get to the ruins before him, you might be able to get some information."

tide Leina stared at Jiang Zhengge, a slight smile playing on her lips.

“I am just like any other demigod,” she corrected, “don’t try to excuse me.”

"If you want to stay here and watch my performance, then stay. As long as you don't mind spending some time with Pan Enfu, no one will bother you."

"In any case, just use the employee entrance when you leave."

After saying that, tide Leina opened the door to the private room and walked out.

Staring at the spot where she disappeared, Jiang Zhengge remained silent for a while before sitting down at the edge of the private room.

Soon, the music on the stage started again.

......

Lin Chen and Li Zhanyi waited until after the concert ended before Jiang Zhengge finally arrived.

“We’ve got the intelligence. Tomorrow night, the Royal Draco,” Jiang Zhengge said with satisfaction. “tide Lena didn’t tell me where the ruins are, so I’m afraid we’ll have to go with Triton.”

"Old Jiang, did you listen to the whole performance?" Li Zhanyi asked with a look of disgust. "And you told me not to become a fan of the demigod... What kind of nonsense is this?"

“That’s called being cautious,” Jiang Zhengge smiled.

The Porsche cut through the rain and merged into the traffic.

It was right after the concert ended, and the roads were packed with cars, stopping and starting, making it incredibly boring.

"So you should tell us, right?" Li Zhanyi leaned forward, turning to stare at Jiang Zhengge. "How exactly did you and that girl meet?"

"It's all old news, what's there to talk about?" Jiang Zhengge muttered.

"Old Jiang~ This is a bit distrustful of your teammates, huh?" Li Zhanyi squinted.

"Alright, alright, if you really want to hear it, I'll tell you."

Jiang Zhengge breathed a sigh of relief. Some secrets were too heavy, and he didn't want to keep them from the children all the time.
