"receive."
"Squad B, take over from the patrol team, using the whale nest coordinates as the center, and keep an eye on subspace fluctuations. Anchor immediately if any situation arises."
"receive."
"Squad C, provide cover for Rapid Response Section 1, proceed to Whale Nest, and stand by in the air."
"receive."
"Rapid Response Division, be prepared."
"Received," Jiang Zhengge replied lazily.
"Attention all units, Operation Whalers has officially begun," Hua Molan said calmly. "For Yudu, for RBAI."
“Take care of them.”

Chapter 140 Deep-Sea Armor (Second and Third Updates)
As the transport plane crossed the coastline, the torrential rain intensified, and lightning danced across the sky, as if a dragon king were venting his fury.
"Entering the airspace over the southeast sea," the pilot's voice came through the headset. "No hostile targets detected by radar."
"Subspace parameters are normal, no signs of erosion, dimensional stabilization anchor array is being activated."
Along the coastline, streaks of pale blue light illuminated the horizon, outlining its contours.
"Third Division, report on the road conditions," Hua Molan said.
"The road remains blocked, no civilian units have entered the kill radius, and buildings within the radius have been cleared."
“Received. Rapid Response Division 1, continue the advance,” Hua Molan said. “'Orca' can sink now. Multi-dimensional pincer attack strategy begins.”
"Roger that!" Bruce's gruff voice came through.
Jiang Zhengge unbuckled his seatbelt and stood up:
"Let's go, it's time to put on our armor, we need to get ready."
Lin Chen and Li Zhanyi unbuckled their seatbelts together and followed Jiang Zhengge to the end of the cabin section.
Along the wall, three sets of subspace deep-sea armor were securely fastened.
Lin Chen walked to the back of the armor and skillfully pulled down the lever. With a "click," the armor separated, releasing a faint white vapor.
He put on armored boots that were at least five centimeters higher than himself, imprinting his silhouette inside the armor, and then rotated his wrist:
"Click!"
The armor closed at the back, and at the same time, a dark blue HUD began to appear in front of Lin Chen.
"Subspace deep-sea armor... RBAI-8102β type, activating... Biometrics... Welcome, Lin, Shen."
"Zizi..."
As an electric current surged through Lin Chen's body, his nerves connected with the armor.
"Deng...Deng..."
Lin Chen began to move his body, and at the same time, Jiang Zhengge and Li Zhanyi put on their armor.
“I don’t like this feeling,” Li Zhanyi’s voice was muffled, “It’s like I’m completely enveloped.”
“It’s not just a feeling, silly girl, you’re already enveloped,” Jiang Zhengge replied to Li Zhanyi’s confused words. “Don’t worry, it’s normal to feel claustrophobic, after all, this thing is designed to resist subspace pressure.”
"Oh." Li Zhanyi pouted.
She doesn't like claustrophobic spaces... Lin Chen chuckled softly, turning to look at Black Sword beside him: This guy was still sitting in the chair, obediently fastening his seatbelt, with his hands on his knees.
"Senior, don't you need the deep-sea armor?" Lin Chen asked.
"The one I have is better than yours," Lin Chen thought he could hear a hint of... pride in Black Sword's voice, whether it was his imagination or not. "Don't worry about me."
"Speaking of which, is yours a fully enclosed exoskeleton or a body modification?" Li Zhanyi asked curiously.
Black Sword turned his head away without answering.
It seems that every man has some secrets of his own.
“We are approaching the Southeast Sea,” the driver’s voice came through, “with slight subspace interference.”
"Subspace interference? Intensity?" Hua Molan asked.
"Slight, but it's outside the normal range," the driver said.
"It's mild over there! It's not mild over here!" A voice filled with strong electromagnetic interference came through; it was Bruce. "Damn it, there's turbulence in the warp, and it's directional—a hurricane is approaching!"
The approaching hurricane means there's a lot of pent-up emotion surrounding it.
This means that subspace erosion is imminent.
“This means that Whale Nest has begun to operate,” Hua Molan’s voice remained calm. “It’s alright. The warm-up of such a large weapon will definitely take time. Proceed according to the original plan.”
"receive."
"We've reached the drop zone!" the pilot's voice came from the cockpit. "Everyone! Enter the submersible!"
"Let's go." Jiang Zhengge nodded.
Lin Chen nodded and followed Jiang Zhengge into the submersible.
The space inside the deep-sea submersible is very cramped, and this crampedness is even more pronounced when wearing deep-sea armor.
The last one to squeeze in was Black Sword. Once he came in, the three of them were basically unable to make any big movements. Only Jiang Zhengge, who was standing next to the control panel, had relatively more room to move around.
Jiang Zhengge pulled down a few levers, and with the roar of the engine, the cage-like mechanical creation began to breathe.
"Little White Whale is on standby." Jiang Zhengge pressed the earpiece.
“What a cute name,” Lin Chen muttered. “We have both orcas and beluga whales, it’s like a marine life party.”
"Don't you think it's cute?" Jiang Zhengge smiled.
“It’s not good at all. Orcas are the rulers of the ocean, while beluga whales are just stupid fat nerds,” Li Zhanyi still seemed to be in a bad mood. “Just like us, they can’t fight back when they get beaten up.”
"The beluga whale can't fight back, but we'll find a way to fight back, right? Don't worry."
At that moment, the driver's voice came through the earpiece:
"Attention, have arrived at the drop-off point."
"Let's start the deployment!" Jiang Zhengge said.
"Buzzing..."
The rear cargo door of the transport plane slowly opened, like a seashell opening its mouth, revealing the little pearl, the Beluga Whale.
A gale swept into the cabin, and through the porthole of the deep-sea submersible, Lin Chen could see the roaring sea: a torrential rain was sweeping through the gap between the sky and the sea.
As the altitude gradually decreased, Lucy reached the control panel and grabbed the lever.
"300 meters...200 meters...100 meters!"
"Deploy!" Lucy pulled down the lever.
"Crack!"
The anchor rope loosened, and the submersible slid down the edge of the cabin and plunged into the sea.
After a brief feeling of weightlessness, Lin Chen felt a soft tremor, and then the seawater filled the view outside the porthole.
"C-01 is returning to base," the pilot's voice rang out.
The submersible sank into the seawater, its lights penetrating the water and illuminating the schools of fish on the seabed.
Unlike the turbulent surface of the sea, the calmness of the seabed made Lin Chen feel somewhat uncomfortable, as if they had suddenly entered another world.
"Phew...it's so quiet..." Li Zhanyi whispered. "Shouldn't I be playing games at this hour? I'm just one or two ranks away from Master..."
"We can fight it again when we get back," Jiang Zhengge comforted Li Zhanyi. "Xiao Lin, the girl is a little afraid of claustrophobia, can you comfort her?"
"I'm fine, I just said it offhand," Li Zhanyi quickly replied.
At this moment, Lin Chen gently grasped Li Zhanyi's hand.
Even through the armor, Lin Chen could feel that Li Zhanyi seemed to tremble slightly.
"Oh, stop spoiling me like this," Li Zhanyi said softly.
“You never told me you were afraid of claustrophobic spaces,” Lin Chen said. “Wait… you were fine during that time in the subspace.”
“Subspace is different; it’s much brighter in there,” Li Zhanyi shook his head. “The armor, the submersible, the ocean floor—it’s all too oppressive… The only claustrophobic space I can tolerate is my little bedroom!”
“Then you should go to the reserve group. You can come in after the door opens anyway,” Lin Chen said. “Don’t force yourself.”
"I was just worried about you all," Li Zhanyi said sullenly. "My prophecy is very useful in situations like this..."
“Remove the ‘we’,” Jiang Zhengge said calmly. “You’re worried about me? You’re definitely only worried about your Lin Chen!”
"Nonsense, nonsense! Have you forgotten why I first revealed my psychic abilities?" Li Zhanyi retorted, unconvinced.
As the girl began to show some emotion, the tense, claustrophobic atmosphere eased considerably.
At this moment, the faint light attracted Li Zhanyi's attention. She looked out of the porthole and saw faint specks of light floating and moving in the seawater.
“400 meters, operating normally,” Jiang Zhengge glanced at the depth gauge. “The water is stable.”
"The warp's unstable, turbulence's been nonstop!" Bruce's booming microphone crackled through the air. "Damn it, watch out, I don't think this is weapon warm-up..."
“Then we’ve arrived just in time,” Hua Molan said. “This shows that we were prepared quickly enough.”
"What's the situation on the sea?" Jiang Zhengge asked.
“Everything is normal. Our sentries are watching the Foundation’s hangar, but they haven’t made a move. It seems they don’t intend to interfere,” Hua Molan said.
“That’s really good,” Jiang Zhengge chuckled. “It’s clear that the hawks want us to fight like dogs with the doves. I reckon Mr. Z must be furious.”
"You're the dog, Lao Jiang," Li Zhanyi muttered.
“I am indeed an old dog, you little puppies,” Jiang Zhengge raised his head, “500 meters.”
In the deep sea, apart from the sounds of instruments rising and falling inside the submersible, there was only the slight sound of seawater squeezing and deforming the submersible.
Lin Chen suddenly had a strange feeling: he was like a patient lying in a hospital bed after surgery, with monitoring equipment monitoring his vital signs, just as a deep-sea submersible was protecting him from being squeezed into a bloody mist by the water pressure from all directions.
As the submersible continued to descend, the visibility around it decreased, and the water, except for the searchlights, turned into solidified ink, with shadowy figures flitting around the edges of the lights.
In the blink of an eye, the submersible pierced through 1000 meters below the seabed.
Debris drifted through the beams of the searchlight, like a blizzard.
The scene was so absurd that it was impossible to tell whether one was at the bottom of the sea or deep in a snow-covered forest.
"The situation is not good." Hua Molan's voice suddenly came.
"What happened?" Jiang Zhengge sensed something was off from the director's tone.
"The officers are repeatedly reporting on the erosion incidents," Hua Molan said quickly, "The growth rate exceeds the normal threshold!"
On a rainy night in Tiejiao District, beside a tent at a construction site blocking off the road, Shen Xuanyi held an umbrella and frowned as she looked up at the sky.
A faint blue aurora appeared in the sky, attracting the workers to stop and watch.
As they watched, some people felt dizzy and looked away, then knelt on the ground and began to vomit.
They lack knowledge of paranormal phenomena, and the Bureau of Investigation has managed to control unusual events in the Rain City very well over the years, so they don't know fear.
“Louis, a ‘nepotism’ has been discovered on the coastline,” Shen Xuanyi picked up a large walkie-talkie. “You’d better get to work.”
"Siblings" are the projection of subspace turbulence into the three-dimensional world, taking the form of a bizarre and enchanting blue aurora.
This phenomenon indicates that large-scale abnormal erosion is occurring in the area.
"Received, we're already handling it," Louis's voice came through.
Amidst the rain, helicopters flew out of the Investigation Bureau's hangar, carrying reserve members of the Second Division to various parts of the city.
"Our main force was just borrowed, and now something's happened in the city? Damn it, section chief, what do we do?"
At the edge of the helicopter, Marcus, fully armed, inspected his assault rifle with a solemn expression.
“Just do what needs to be done,” Marcus said in a low voice. “Leave Whale Nest to those freaks in Section 1, and we’ll guard the city’s defenses.”
Marcus raised his wrist and looked at the screen on his personal portable display: about three-quarters of the rainforest had experienced abnormal erosion, from the streets and alleys to the high-rise buildings.
“Most of them are Delta-class, which the police can handle,” Marcus said. “There are a few Gamma-class ones here. We’ll suppress them in small teams, prioritize containment, and eliminate any weak points.”
