Ross did not stop, but simply released his right hand that was supporting the boy's buttocks and instead gripped the hilt of the knife.

"Tigers and sheep see the world differently. The reason they betray each other is because they are afraid that the tiger cubs will grow up and eat them."

Hearing the man's calm voice, Barrett suddenly felt most of his anger disappear.

"But what they didn't know was that they were facing more than just a tiger."

"Wait, leave them to me."

"I know you can do it. Leave them to me. I want to kill these traitors with my own hands!"

Rose paused in his knife-wielding motion, his eyes darted around, and a playful smile appeared on his face.

"Leaving it to you is fine, but Barrett, you have to promise to travel with me."

"Otherwise, I'll have no choice but to send these brainwashed idiots to their next life."

Seeing that the man was about to swing his knife again, Barrett panicked.

He didn't know how strong this man was, but he couldn't even see the speed at which the other man had just used.

Even if ten of them attacked together, they would most likely still lose.

"I agree! Leave them to me. Those despicable, vile, and filthy traitors, I'll make them regret it!!"

Chapter 38 The weapon of the strong is used to sever their former weakness.

The sudden burst of power stunned the little devil blocking his way, and Ross continued on his way.

"What was that just now?"

Sleepiness came over Barrett, but he refused to go to sleep.

"It's Conqueror's Haki."

Olvia, who was standing beside her, explained softly:

"There are three types of Haki on the sea, and Ross uses the most special kind of Haki."

Domineering?

Barrett didn't understand, but he remembered it well.

Seeing that the boy had fallen into a deep sleep, Olvia moved to the other side and lowered her voice again.

"Ross, why are you looking for him?"

“The Boy Scouts have a bad reputation; they are war orphans or abandoned children.”

“Those in power here will brainwash them and use those children to step on landmines or clear roads.”

"That kind of person is awful!"

Ross shook his head helplessly. "Olvia, you can say whatever you want, but don't get angry inside."

"That's why I didn't want to get involved in other people's business when I was buying Apple products."

"This place is just called hell, parents don't care about their children, and everyone loves war."

"Here, human life is no different from that of chickens and ducks."

"We don't have enough manpower, so we need to rest and recuperate."

"Once enough soldiers are captured or purchased, a new round of war will begin."

"Even if a demon were to descend, it would probably shock the rate of death of life on this small island."

The two left the alley and headed in the opposite direction from where the sounds of fighting were coming from.

"As for why we needed to find Barrett~"

"Well, just think of it as the goddess of fate lifting the hem of her skirt."

……

Half a day later, in the evening--

In the wilderness, in a mountain cave.

The head of the dead brown bear was carelessly tossed in a corner, while the burning campfire crackled.

The occasional stirring of the pork chop released an enticing aroma.

"Well……"

Barrett's eyelids twitched several times before returning to calm, and half an hour later, his eyelids opened completely.

The confusion in his eyes lasted only ten seconds.

He sat up abruptly, retreated sharply, and clutched the stone he had picked up in his hand.

"You're awake!"

Olvia, who was eating meat in small bites, waved to the boy.

"Want some roasted bear meat? It's freshly roasted and super delicious!"

"I won't eat... *gulp*!"

Barrett's face flushed slightly, but he couldn't get the words out.

"Come here and sit down."

Ross simply patted the stone slab next to him.

"Don't make me say it a second time, or your ass will personally experience my strength. You'd better pray it's harder than my Armament Haki."

Barrett approached silently and sat down not far from Ross.

"Take it and eat it."

Barrett obeyed and launched a fierce attack on the roasted bear leg.

After they had eaten and drunk their fill, it was already fifteen minutes later.

Why did you save me?

Barrett, his belly round from eating, could only lean against the wall, looking like a corpse.

His face, still covered in fine hair, was greasy.

"Why ask so many questions? If you have nothing better to do, come and help."

Ross retorted irritably, as he was busy cleaning up food scraps, planning to throw them outside with the bear head to feed the wild animals later.

"Okay, coming right away."

Barrett, not daring to disobey orders, struggled to his feet and carried the pile of bones on the ground out of the cave.

After the cave was cleaned up, the three of them sat down in a clean spot and let out a long sigh of relief.

Why did you save me?

Seeing Barrett stubbornly pursuing the answer to the question, Ross rubbed his temples.

"Come here."

Barrett thought the man wanted to tell her the answer, so she curiously moved closer.

bang~

"Ouch! You jerk, what are you doing?!"

Barrett, clutching the large bump on his head, was enraged and about to launch an attack.

"Your fists are not for attacking your own people."

Ross's words left Barrett stunned.

"After you've taken your revenge, I'll take you away from this cramped place. When that time comes... come here first."

Barrett cautiously retreated.

But seeing the warm green light that had appeared on the man's hand before, he subconsciously relaxed his guard.

Seeing Barrett approach him, Ross's lips curled up, he stopped talking and punched Barrett on the head.

"Damn it, you dare to play me for a fool!"

Barrett, with the gourd on his head, lunged at Ross without hesitation.

"Not 'you bastard,' but teacher, you idiot!"

Bang--!!

Rose no longer held back, and his fist, now at half its strength, slammed down again.

Barrett was knocked to the ground, his head burying itself in the dirt.

"When speaking to a teacher, you must maintain basic politeness."

Barrett, panting heavily, struggled to his feet.

His eyes were bloodshot, like a bull in heat.

If it weren't for the three large, shiny bumps piled up on his head, he would have looked rather frightening.

“Remember, Barrett.”

Ross's expression suddenly turned serious.

"Never point your fists or swords at your own people who are truly good to you."

"The weapons of the strong are not for harming your family and friends; they are for helping you sever the weakness you once possessed!"

"I don't care what kind of life you lived before, or how you've been brainwashed."

"You must etch these words into your very soul!"

"If your reason for swinging your fist is solely for killing, then you'd better throw away that power sooner rather than later!"

"Anyone can kill, even a kid with a gun can kill an adult, but not everyone can protect."

"Whether it's this world, the girl I like, or the students who follow me..."

"If a man can't figure out why he wants to become stronger, he'll never become stronger!"

guard?

Barrett scoffed, "I'm not going to do that kind of trouble!"

"As long as I keep winning, as long as I defeat everyone, I will be the strongest!"

Ross stood up; he knew he had to resort to drastic measures.

If we can't change young Barrett's mind, this idiot will become a menace sooner or later.

"Come out with me."

Upon arriving outside the cave, Ross drew his Wild Sun sword and swung it rapidly at the tree trunk.

In less than ten seconds, two crudely made wooden swords appeared.

One of the swords was tossed to Barrett, and Ross held the sword with his right hand hanging naturally at his sides.

"Attack me, and let me see your so-called strongest power."

"If you can make me move one step, I'll turn around and leave."

"If you can't, then you'll have to obediently follow me in my cultivation from now on."

Take a step?

Barrett narrowed his eyes. "Hey, aren't you being a bit too arrogant? No matter how strong you are, you can't possibly..."

Before he could finish speaking, Barrett suddenly bent down, grabbed a handful of sand from the ground, and threw it at Ross.

"We succeeded!!"

Barrett's face lit up with joy as he watched the enemy close his eyes.

Without hesitation, he charged forward, thrusting his wooden sword toward his groin.

Given his current height, he can't effectively strike the neck. Rather than forcing it, it's better to directly attack a man's weakest point.

In a place like that, no one can remain calm if it is attacked!
