Wendy.

Wendy peeked out from behind a stone pillar in the square.

He wore that signature smile, and his emerald green eyes shone like stars in the moonlight.

“Wind…Lord Wendy.” Yura almost blurted out the words “Wind God,” but thankfully she stopped herself in time.

Xu Chuan looked at the uninvited guest and said with a hint of teasing, "There will be plenty of good wine at the banquet. Can you resist?"

Wendy smiled but didn't respond to the question. Instead, she turned to look at Yura with a hint of apology in her voice.

"Sorry, I need to borrow this guy for a while."

Yura naturally did not refuse.

She glanced at Xu Chuan and nodded.

"Then I'll head back now." She turned and took a few steps, then stopped and turned back to remind him, "If you can't hold your liquor, don't drink too much."

"My alcohol tolerance isn't that bad."

"Then I'll admit it when you can outdrink me."

Xu Chuan smiled helplessly and had no choice but to accept Yura's suggestion.

Wendy watched the departing figure and couldn't help but sigh. The youthful innocence between the boy and girl was still so beautiful.

"What's up? Is there something you need from me?" Xu Chuan asked.

Wendy looked away, her expression becoming more serious.

"The Knights have their own celebrations."

I also happened to be organizing a small cocktail party.

He paused, then added, "Of course, this was also Tvalin's request."

That creature wanted to thank you and Ying in person; if it weren't for you two, it would probably have fallen into the abyss completely.

Xu Chuan remained noncommittal, stating that his intervention had only accelerated the time it would take to escape the abyss.

A moment later, Ying appeared in front of the two.

She was still wearing that white dress, her short golden hair swaying slightly in the night breeze, and a faint smile on her delicate face.

"Where's Paimon?" Xu Chuan asked.

“I left it at the dinner party.” Ying’s tone was somewhat helpless. “She said she would pack some food for me to take back.”

The two looked at each other and smiled.

It's not hard to guess who will end up eating those delicious foods.

Wendy clapped her hands. "Everyone's here, let's go."

The three walked out of the city, the moonlight casting long shadows on the streets of Mondstadt.

Outside the city, Tvalin was already waiting there.

It was much smaller than it had been in battle, its wings folded behind it, and its dark blue scales gleamed softly in the moonlight.

Those eyes were no longer shrouded in scarlet; they had returned to a clear azure, shining like two gems in the night.

"Come on up." Its voice was deep, but no longer hoarse.

The three climbed onto the dragon's back, and Dvalin spread his wings, flapped them gently, and took to the air.

The wind whistled past my ears, and Mondstadt grew smaller and smaller beneath my feet, the lights merging into one, like a starry sky reflected on the ground.

Ying sat in the front, her blonde hair flying in the wind, Wendy hummed an unknown tune while holding a harp, and Xu Chuan sat in the back, looking down at the city gradually receding into the distance.

The wind rose, and the enormous oak tree stood tall in the moonlight, its branches and leaves so thick that its canopy blocked out half the sky.

This place holds a very special meaning for Wendy.

Dvalin landed beside the big tree, and after the three of them came down, he sat down to the side, his huge body casting a deep shadow in the moonlight.

Wendy pulled out a few bottles of liquor and shook them smugly.

“Falga’s treasures, that guy hid them very well when he left, thinking no one would know.”

Xu Chuan took a bottle, looked at the label, and saw that it was a limited edition.

"Won't the commander come back and settle scores with you?"

"We'll see when the time comes." Wendy had already opened the bottle. "Come on, have a taste."

Ying took the bottle, took a sip, and frowned slightly. "It's strong."

"It is a bit strong, but it is indeed a good wine."

Wendy laughed and took a big gulp herself.

The three sat under the big tree, the moonlight filtering through the leaves and casting dappled shadows on the ground.

Dvalin lay quietly to the side, occasionally raising his head to glance at the distant city of Mondstadt before lowering it again.

"Thank you," Tvalin suddenly spoke, his gaze falling on Xu Chuan. "In that battle, you shattered the poisonous blood crystal on my neck."

Xu Chuan raised the wine bottle in a gesture of acknowledgment, saying, "It was nothing."

“It wasn’t a simple favor,” Tvalin said softly. “I could sense that you were in a lot of pain at the time.”

That kind of power is also a burden for you.

Dvalin was right; that day's battle was indeed a desperate struggle.

The power of the Heart of the Wind God is a double-edged sword; it gave him power beyond his limits, but it also drained his body.

“But you did it anyway,” Tvalin said, “so I owe you a favor.”

“And me too.” Wendy raised the bottle. “If it weren’t for you, this old man might really have had to take matters into his own hands.”

Xu Chuan looked at the man and the dragon and suddenly smiled. "Then I won't stand on ceremony. I'll definitely not forget to help you in the future."

“It’s a deal.” Dvalin lowered his head, his huge eyes gleaming gently in the moonlight.

Ying listened from the side, a slight smile playing on her lips.

She raised her bottle and clinked it against Xu Chuan's and Wendy's.

"Respect freedom," she said.

Wendy's eyes lit up. "Great! To freedom!"

The three of them tilted their heads back and drank, their laughter echoing in the night sky above the windswept land.

Tvalin watched them quietly, occasionally letting out a low snort, as if he were laughing.

As night deepened, the moonlight shone like water.

Under the big tree where the wind rises, there are three people, a dragon, a few bottles of wine, and a sky full of stars.

After a few rounds of drinks, Wendy's voice began to drift up, the melody distant and ethereal, carried on the wind into the distance.

Xu Chuan leaned against the tree trunk, listening to the ancient ballads, and suddenly felt that such a night was not bad.

He looked up at the moon through the gaps in the leaves, a slight smile playing on his lips.

Yura is right, I really hope it can stay like this forever.

But Wendy is right, monotony is boring.

Tomorrow, there is a new road ahead.

Chapter 49 The Girl Who Fleed in Disarray

As the wind rises, a giant dragon coils beneath a giant tree, bathed in moonlight that gives it a soft glow.

It simply lay there quietly, surrounded by a thousand breezes that flowed through the treetops and across the grass, carrying the scent of grass and dew.

Last night's party was a great experience for the three of them and one dragon.

Falgar's treasured bottles of wine were all drunk clean, Wendy sang several songs, and Dvalin hummed a couple of times, which was quite rare for him.

Ying didn't drink much, but her alcohol tolerance was really worrying. After a few drinks, her face turned red.

That dizzy, adorable look was exceptionally cute.

"Ugh... I can't take it anymore, you guys drink."

As she spoke, Ying rested her head on Xu Chuan's shoulder, slowly shaking off the dizzying sensation she felt.

I don't know when, but she just fell asleep.

But for Wendy, this amount of alcohol was just a drop in the ocean.

Wendy was overjoyed that Tvalin had returned to normal; the wine tasted better and better with each sip.

"Friend, let's have another bottle."

Xu Chuan: "..."

Goodness, if we had another bottle, we'd probably be all gone.

Soon, under the onslaught of Mondstadt's number one wine connoisseur, Xu Chuan didn't last long either, and with his head tilted to the side, he sat down at a table with Ying.

The two leaned on each other and fell into a deep sleep under the giant tree.

In this environment rich in wind elements, the slight smell of alcohol dissipates exceptionally quickly, but the lingering intoxication is hard to shake off.

Wendy sat on the roots of the giant tree, occasionally gently touching her harp.

Dvarin watched them quietly, occasionally blinking, his huge pupils reflecting the starlight.

Xu Chuan was awakened by birdsong in the early morning.

He opened his eyes and found himself leaning against a tree trunk, with a little weight still on his shoulders.

Half-asleep, Ying mumbled something.

Last night her little hands were very restless; if Xu Chuan's clothes had been any looser, her upper body would probably have caught a cold.

After recognizing who was beside her and realizing what she had done the night before, she instantly came to her senses.

The usually aloof and somewhat silent girl showed a panicked expression, and she didn't even dare to meet Xu Chuan's eyes.

"Paymon must be very worried, so I'll be going now."

There was also a note left by Wendy: "Drink again next time."

Tvalin was also gone, leaving only a flattened mark on the grass.

Xu Chuan was left alone, bewildered in the wind.

"What is all this?!"

He returned to Mondstadt alone, where Sugar was already waiting for him.

She held in her hand the little notebook that recorded all his physical data.

"Mr. Xu Chuan, today's inspection."

But halfway through, she suddenly leaned closer and her nose twitched slightly.

"What's wrong?" Xu Chuan asked.

Sugar didn't answer immediately, but her expression was somewhat subtle.

She adjusted her glasses and whispered, "Mr. Xu Chuan... smells like a girl."

The air suddenly became quiet for a moment.

"It's a different kind of fragrance."

Sugar's voice became even softer, as if she were talking to herself, "Last time it was Miss Yura, this time... it seems to be a different person."

Xu Chuan opened his mouth, but before he could say anything, the door was pushed open.

Abel walked in, followed by a little girl in a bright red dress.

After Abedo's introduction, Xu Chuan greeted Xiao Keli.

"Hello, Brother Xu Chuan!" Ke Li's voice was as clear as a bell.

Sugar finished making the final notes and closed the notebook.
