"boom!"

Using all his strength, Kiryu Ichiyo spat out a mouthful of blood.

Shimada Sho grabbed her neck again and threw her off balance.

"boom!"

This time, she was the one who got thrown into the broken pieces of the table.

The heavy fall temporarily rendered her unable to move.

Shimada Sho seized the opportunity and was about to rush in and deliver a couple of powerful blows.

But after taking only two steps, he suddenly stopped.

"That's enough, buddy."

The voice came from behind.

Along with it came the cold, hard feel of the gun barrel pressed against the back of my head.

With the truth above his head, Shimada Sho instantly calmed down.

He was panting heavily, his gaze fixed on Kiryu Ichiyo, who was still recovering from the shock, sitting on the broken wooden table.

Kiryu Ichiyo was lying on the ground, clutching his stomach with one hand, panting heavily.

Her face was pale, her forehead was covered in sweat, and there was blood at the corner of her mouth.

The hem of his white shirt was pulled out from his waistband, all wrinkled.

The two people looked at each other.

The office was so quiet that only heavy breathing could be heard.

Owada Heavy Industries huddled in a corner, his face deathly pale.

In his fifty-plus years of life, this was the first time he had ever seen anyone dare to beat the Kiryu family's daughter like this.

Those bodyguards lying on the ground, if they were still awake, stared wide-eyed at the scene.

"What's your name?"

Kiryu Ichiyo frowned in pain, but when she noticed Shimada Sho's gaze, she forcibly maintained her composure.

The voice was hoarse as he asked, "What's your name?"

"Sho Shimada".

"Shimada Sho." She repeated the name as if trying to etch it into her mind, and after a long while, she finally spoke: "You win, you can take your house."

"Mine?" Shimada Sho's gaze turned cold.

"The other piece of land..." Kiryu Ichiyo met his gaze, fearlessly propping himself up on his arms. After wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, he stared at Shimada Sho and said, "It's not something you can touch. If you think you're capable, come to Sumiyoshi and take it. I'll be waiting for you."

Chapter 115 No One Can Hurt Xiang Jun

Kiryu Ichiyo left with her people.

Apart from the gangsters lying on the ground, only Shimada Sho and the middle-aged man surnamed Sasaki remained inside and outside the Finance Department.

Owada Heavy Industries approached with a beaming smile, holding a paper document in both hands, and respectfully handed it to Shimada Sho: "Young man, this is your mother's property transfer contract."

Shimada Sho took it, looked it over, and after confirming that it was correct, folded it and put it in his pocket.

Owada Heavy Industries then said solicitously, "You're injured, why don't you rest for a bit? I'll have someone drive you home."

At this moment, he looked nothing like a gang leader; he looked like a lackey.

Shimada Sho glanced at him.

Just one glance was enough to send a chill down Owada Heavy Industries’ spine.

He had lived for over fifty years and this was the first time he had ever seen such a monster.

Not only were more than a dozen skilled fighters lying down, but even the young lady of the Kiryu family was beaten up like that.

That guy was a well-known fighter in the Sumiyoshi-kai, someone who grew up in dojos, yet he got beaten up by a high school student and had blood dripping from his mouth.

This guy isn't a high school student, he's a superman.

In the underworld, might makes right. If he had known this young man was so monstrous, he would have given away that small amount of money rather than mess with him.

Now look what's happened: his son's hand was pierced, his hands were lying all over the ground, and he's offended the Kiryu family.

The worst part is that this kid doesn't give face to anyone.

Kiryu Ichiyo just said the property would be returned to him. If he still doesn't know what's good for him, the building might really be demolished.

Owada Heavy Industries just wants to get rid of this plague as soon as possible.

“There’s one more.” Shimada Sho suddenly spoke, interrupting Owada Heavy Industries’ thoughts.

His ingratiating smile hadn't faded when he asked, "What?"

“The Sasaki family’s shop,” Shimada Sho said, pointing to the contract on the table.

Owada Heavy Industries' face immediately fell, almost to the point of tears: "Brother, this really won't work. That land is now directly managed by the Sumiyoshi Association. I'm just a gofer; I really don't have that authority. You saw Ms. Kiryu's attitude just now..."

As he spoke, he kept an eye on Shimada Sho's expression, afraid that this man would make a move again.

Shimada Sho stared at him for a few seconds, making sure he wasn't playing tricks, before looking away.

This matter doesn't seem to be something that can be resolved with a fight.

Small fry like the Owada-gumi can be subdued by force, but the Sumiyoshi-kai cannot.

That was a truly colossal entity lurking beneath Tokyo's surface.

"Brother..."

As Shimada Sho was thinking, another voice cautiously came from behind him.

Shimada Sho turned his head and found that the middle-aged man surnamed Sasaki had stood up at some point.

She stood awkwardly behind him, wanting to reach out and help him but not daring to.

"Let me help you down." Sasaki's voice trembled slightly, but his eyes were full of gratitude. "You're injured; you can't stay here."

Shimada Sho glanced at him and nodded.

Sasaki quickly stepped forward and took his arm.

The two walked out of the office and downstairs, stepping over the mess on the floor.

Several gangsters who hadn't managed to escape were still lying in the stairwell. When they saw Shimada Sho come out, they scrambled to hide on either side.

Owada Heavy Industries followed at a distance, not daring to get close.

Shimada Sho was helped downstairs like that.

When we got outside, it was already 11 p.m.

A cool night breeze swept over me, and under the clear night sky, twinkling lights twinkled in the heavens.

Such a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere makes it hard for anyone to imagine that a fierce fight had just taken place upstairs not long ago.

Feeling bored, Shimada Sho sat down on the curb in front of the building.

After the fierce battle just now, every part of his body was sore and he needed to rest.

After helping Shimada Sho sit down, Sasaki turned around and jogged to a vending machine in the distance, where he bought two cans of coffee.

After handing a can to Shimada Sho, he sat down next to him.

"Hey buddy, what's your name?" he asked casually as he opened his coffee.

"Sho Shimada".

Upon hearing this, Sasaki said earnestly, "Shimada-kun, thank you for standing up for me."

"Need not."

"No, thank you so much!" Sasaki said with gratitude, "If it weren't for you, Owada might have taken back my shop today."

As he spoke, he rummaged through his pockets and after a while pulled out a few crumpled banknotes.

He glanced at it, then felt it was inappropriate and shook his head, putting it away.

Seeing this, Shimada Sho couldn't help but laugh. "You don't need to do that. I was just helping someone in need."

Helping the Sasaki family was simply a matter of convenience; he never expected anything in return.

Moreover, in the end, they couldn't even help him get his land back.

Sumiyoshi's emphasis on that property exceeded his expectations.

"To help those in need..." Sasaki seemed to have never heard this phrase before, repeating it subconsciously as if trying to understand its meaning.

But after a long pause, he still couldn't understand. Finally, he looked up and said sincerely, "My gratitude to you is genuine, but as for that piece of land... it's not really about the money."

"What do you mean?" Shimada Sho paused in his coffee-drinking motion and turned to look at him.

Sasaki hesitated for a moment, then looked around before lowering his voice and saying, "The Owada Group is eyeing my house, not because of any urban redevelopment. That piece of land... well, Sumiyoshi will want it anyway, not because they want to build a building on it."

His words were mumbled, but the fear in his eyes was genuine.

Upon seeing this, Shimada Sho suddenly realized what was happening.

No wonder Aunt Island Flower was able to easily get her house back, but not that piece of land.

It turns out that the Sumiyoshi-kai had other schemes.

This makes sense; it explains why Ōwada used it as a pledge of loyalty to rejoin the organization, and why Kiryu Ichiyo ultimately refused to give him the land.

But what exactly is the reason?

Shimada Sho looked at the seemingly ordinary middle-aged man in front of him, wanting to get to the bottom of things.

Unfortunately, before he could ask, a bright light shone from afar, interrupting his thoughts.

Looking up, I saw more than a dozen cars speeding towards me from a distance.

Some of the vehicles also had red and blue lights flashing on them.

"laugh--"

After the vehicle stopped, more than a dozen uniformed police officers rushed out and surrounded the building's entrances and exits.

"Don't move!"

Several police officers blocked Shimada and his companion, who were sitting on the curb, and the newcomers appeared aggressive.

At this moment, more police officers rushed over and flooded into the building.

Ten minutes later, Owada Heavy Industries and his bodyguards were taken away together.

The gangsters were brought to the wall, where they squatted down, bewildered and covering their heads.

Further away, several men in suits stood beside a police car, talking in hushed tones.

Upon seeing this, Shimada Sho frowned, somewhat puzzled.

He didn't call the police, so why did the police come?

"You!" A policeman approached him and Sasaki, demanding sternly, "What are you doing?"

“I am…” Sasaki was too nervous to speak.

Shimada Sho replied without changing his expression, "I'm here to pay back the money."

The police officer looked him up and down, his gaze lingering on his swollen lips and the back of his skinned hands, before picking up the walkie-talkie and saying something.

A moment later, a middle-aged man in a dark suit walked over.

He glanced at Shimada Sho and asked, "What's your name?"

"Sho Shimada".

The middle-aged man's expression changed visibly, as if he was somewhat surprised.

"Wait a minute."

He turned and walked to the side, took out his phone and made a call.

Shimada Sho stretched out his thighs, which felt sore from exerting too much force.

I completely relaxed.
