"Understood." The warden waved his hand.
"I heard you're supposed to be heroes, what a disgrace," the warden sighed, looking at Rolando.
"There are two people outside bailing you out. Go out."
"Next time, it won't be so cheap."
Next time you're arrested, you can still get bail, but the price won't be as reasonable.
Their repeated disturbances in public places are tantamount to provoking the guards of Inlai.
Rolando didn't want to say anything and silently walked out.
However, Rolando's lack of thanks doesn't mean the girls behind him won't thank him.
"I'm so sorry." After passing the warden, the elven ranger bowed and thanked him.
The warden was taken aback when someone actually thanked him, then suddenly burst out laughing.
"Elves, when you're with people, remember to look carefully, you're very easy to fool," the warden said, making no sense.
“???” Tristy looked completely bewildered, having no idea what the warden was trying to say.
"Thank you for the advice!" The elven ranger thought for a moment and then thanked him anyway.
After the warden and the adventurers left, the two guards exchanged a glance.
"It's all your fault! You said you were playing cards while working, and now you've been caught!"
"Didn't you agree with such excitement back then?!"
"That was then! Now we'd both get our salaries cut at any moment!"
"Pay cuts!!! Aaaaaah!!!"
"Let's play a game of Te Kun and let off some steam."
"good idea."
The two guards quickly reached a consensus and even shook hands.
---
It was already night when they were released from prison.
Rolando and his group quickly rented a hotel.
In the dead of night, Rolando appeared in what should have been Ellie's room.
"No... Hero... Eeya!" Ellie lay on the bed shyly, offering only token resistance.
Rolando licked Ellie's neck.
"No? You don't want it?" Rolando's voice was full of magnetism.
Rolando's hair clung to Ellie's face, causing her intense itching.
“Hmm…” Ellie’s eyes became increasingly unfocused.
Rolando breathed a breath into Ellie's ear.
Rolando's mind was filled with nothing but rage; he wanted to vent his pent-up frustration.
Of course, Ellie, who was deeply in love, had no way of knowing the evil in Rolando's heart.
“Yes…” Ellie said in a voice barely audible.
After saying that, Ellie looked as tempting as a ripe peach.
Rolando swallowed hard.
Although it's not the first time I've messed with her, I still find this little girl adorable every time I see her.
Rolando was getting impatient and was about to devour Ellie when there was a knock on Ellie's door.
"That bastard!!!!!!!!!?" Rolando roared inwardly.
“Who…” Ellie asked timidly.
“It’s me, Tristy.”
"Sister Tristia!?" Ellie panicked even more, knowing that elves have very sensitive ears.
"How embarrassing! What should Ellie do! Ugh..." All Ellie wanted to do now was find a hole to crawl into and not care about anything else.
"Ellie?" Tristia wasn't the type to gossip about other people's rooms all the time, and the elven ranger still didn't know what had happened in Ellie's room.
"Alright, Sister Tristia, you can come in now."
Tristia then pushed open the door and saw Rolando and Ellie.
"Rolando?"
"Oh, Tristia." Rolando wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, trying to appear calm.
What are you doing in Ellie's room?
"Ellie wasn't feeling well, so I just brought her in from outside the door." Rolando gave himself a hundred thumbs up for his intelligence.
Even though he was still annoyed by Tristia's untimely appearance, Rolando maintained his smile.
After all, Tristy was one of the women in her harem she wanted to conquer.
Of the six girls in the team, only Tristia is the one I haven't pursued yet.
We can't let all the goodwill we've built up go to waste!
"Is that so? Is Ellie alright?" Seeing Ellie's face completely flushed, Tristy believed Rolando's words.
"It's probably because he's been in prison too long. It's alright, Tristine," Ellie said, feigning weakness.
"I'll be full of energy tomorrow!"
"Alright, take a good rest. I was originally going to have you assemble downstairs, but never mind."
"Gather?" Rolando frowned.
"Yes, those two Imperial soldiers bailed us out and just let us go down, but they couldn't find you, so they told me to start notifying the others."
“Okay…I’ll go in a bit.” Rolando looked embarrassed. “His character is subpar,” Alice murmured.
"His skills are subpar," Eric added.
"Why is it that someone like that can defeat the Demon King?" Alice wondered.
“I don’t know either.” Eric shrugged.
That demon king was a headache for the empire for who knows how long, yet he was defeated by the so-called "Silver Hero".
It's something I simply can't understand.
Admittedly, Rolando is not weak and deserves the title of hero, since no one stipulates that a hero must defeat the demon king.
However, the idea that Rolando and his companions possessed the power to defeat the Demon King seems somewhat unrealistic.
Eric sometimes wondered if this guy was just being opportunistic.
Before meeting him in person, I thought highly of Rolando, but after getting to know him, I found him rather uninteresting.
“Alright, Colonel, we can’t continue, others are here.” Alice gave a professional smile and looked at Rolando, who was coming down with Ellie and the others.
"Good evening, hero." Alice greeted him politely.
"Hey." Eric waved back, echoing Alice's gesture.
"Good evening... What brings you here so late?" Roland asked with a fairly cheerful smile.
Even though his precious time was interrupted, Rolando still managed to put on that expression and did his best.
Ellie is still hiding in the back, too ashamed to show her face.
Even though hardly anyone saw it, Ellie was still very shy; to put it bluntly, she felt guilty.
"What's wrong, Ellie? You've been acting strange since just now," Kaiji said, patting Ellie's head.
"No!!! Nothing's wrong!!" Ellie jumped up and said in a panic.
“Is that so?” Kaijie drawled out the last syllable, her tone meaningful.
"Ahem." Alice coughed, drawing everyone's attention to herself.
"I'm sorry to have contacted you so late, Hero, but the situation is quite serious right now, and we must act immediately."
"The situation is dire?" Rolando frowned.
“Yes, we’ve found out what the Federation is trying to do.” Alice took a report out of the file box and handed it to Rolando.
"A weapon that can destroy a country?" Rolando's expression was quite interesting.
“That’s right, and there’s very little time left to finish,” Eric said in a deep voice.
"Such important intelligence, how come..." Rolando had been investigating in Inlai for some time but had not been able to gather much information.
Did these two soldiers accomplish all this work by themselves?
"Yes, you can extract a small amount of information through seduction."
“Then, by piling up the bits and pieces of information, we can deduce what happened,” Alice explained.
If you're in intelligence work and you don't even have these basic skills, you should probably resign.
“But there’s no location for the weapons listed here,” Rolando said.
Eric nodded. Despite his poor character and lack of ability, Rolando's acting skills and intelligence were still excellent.
This is a fair assessment from Colonel Wannian.
“That’s why we called you here,” Alice said softly.
"Miss Tristey, please search the underground area."
This elf ranger's search ability is incredibly useful.
“Underground?” Tristy frowned.
There's hardly any wind underground.
In that case, Tristy will find it difficult to rely on her previous "light breeze".
However, there are still ways to solve this problem.
Tristy lay prone on the ground, her long ear pressed against the cold floor.
A cacophony of sounds flooded Tristey's mind.
Listening to sounds while keeping your head close to the ground is a common method, but it's difficult to use effectively.
Because even though the sound is very clear when you are close to the ground, you can hear sounds from a great distance.
But it's too noisy and too messy.
Often, it's simply impossible to distinguish each sound individually.
"What kind of place is the target?" Triss asked Alice.
“The factory,” Alice replied quickly after glancing at the report.
"Wait a moment." Tristia relaxed her entire body, trying to process the countless sounds coming from the ground.
"Found it, it's not far." The Elf Ranger said softly after standing up.
“Then let’s go,” Eric said, snapping his fingers.
"Everyone, let's stop the Federation's scheme together!" Rolando said to his companions.
Then Rolando launched into a series of passionate speeches, which even gave Eric goosebumps.
It's not that Rolando's words were completely untrue, but Eric found them somewhat awkward after learning about Rolando's character.
Anyone who knows nothing about Rolando will be drawn into his life.
“Isn’t this what we should be doing?” Kaiji laughed, and Ellie behind him smiled shyly as well.
The other two female mages nodded as well.
Under Rolando's guidance, their sense of justice was effectively brought out.
"Wow, what an orator," Eric thought to himself as he glanced at the cute girls who were already head over heels in love.
